To summarise some of your points:
Reason for maining blight: he's one of the few viable killers. No one else can hold their own against the elite swfs I go against daily, and also the occasional group of megheads who I'm going to slug at 5 gens (I'm sorry, MMR is making me play sweaty, it's out of my hands at this point)
Alternative reason for maining blight: because he's busted af. He lacks meaningful counterplay like running in a straight line for as long as possible, or running round in a circle for as long as possible
Anyway my reason for maining blight: rush hit connects = dopamine go brrrr

Good message, strange delivery, unlikely to make much of a difference

Spirit is in kind of a strange place as others have said. It is probably time they nerfed iron will in some way, especially since they keep releasing other perks that hide your injured noises which are all situational...and none of them get used because why take any of them over something that passively and permanently deletes all your noises with no requirements or downsides?
I also got better headphones recently (because I trod on my old ones and broke them, rip) and now I can hear uninjured survivors breathing a lot more often. So if you have iron will it's honestly better to stay injured which is weird. And I don't like that ability to play a killer (well/better) correlates with what external equipment you can afford
(Off topic but I got mine really cheap off ebay, the description said it was reduced so much just because they were covered in scratches which isn't something I care about but when they arrived they weren't scratched at all? I mean I'm not complaining)

Anti-loop, no mobility all the way baby

It was through xbox social, and to get that you just need a microsoft account which most players have.
I'm trying to find a mute system in there because all night survivors from cross play have been sending complaints like using billy's saw and I'm not joking.
But as long as you have the name they will continue.
There's people out there going against Billys and actually complaining about it? Madness
-
okay but seriously i don't have mine either and the craving to buy cosmetics for characters I don't use is unbearable 😣
-
I'm not the sharpest machete in the drawer so I sometimes miss hooks even with auras. So old boil over is kinda basekit for my survivors anyway

Oh we must not stop until every killer except Spirit is pure M1!
Nurse must also be punished for keeping her in 2nd place all this years. Adding all her bugs back in for a start would demonstrate bhvr are serious about good game design.

Sorry for not being Spirit. Ever since I was a boy I've been trying to become a chopped up japanese girl with blue skin. And all I've been able to achieve is a fat ass 😫
I'm proud of you regardless
@. topic we can make spirit the strongest killer in the game by nerfing all the others. I propose starting with pig who's clearly getting ideas above her station with this new tome

Basically you have to activate one glyph and it will give you a pocket mirror. You have to take the pocket mirror to the basement and activate another glyph there to close it.
You'll still keep the mirror after closing the glyph and if you escape with it you earn extra BP.
Oh ok, that does sound fun
-
What do they involve? I haven't got to that one yet
-
Okay my gripe is a usual event one because the quote unquote genrush seems to weirdly increase around these times. But one extreme example from yesterday was one BNP/prove thyself 3-man
I get I dont really run gen perks so it's to be expected they so quickly but like...this lot let the solo go into 2nd stage while they all worked on different gens, then one of them went over presumably to rescue him, saw the gen he'd been working on and decided to do that instead? I come back to the hook and she's just sitting there working on it like 2m away from him. And this was late at this point, when survivor queues here are disgustingly long.
BHVR give us an option to switch sides and work on gens with the survivors plz. Make it like the exit gates so I can reassert dominance over them by finishing them instantly

I am not sure what you would call it and no offense intended, I do not really care. A top 3 killer flipping to bottom 3 is not because of some slight adjustment. I have literally never seen it before. It could be that she was overrated from the start, I would buy that. In the end, my only point is people do not drop characters for slight changes, they navigate away from power picks when they can no longer get results.
You rarely hear even the sheep consider her in the same category as Nurse and Blight anymore. It is THAT bad.
When a killer gets even mild nerfs I barely see them again for the next few months, including spirit's first round of them.
-
I like the build. I mean it doesn't really synergise at all but it's interesting enough
-
The rework is a cover story, Almo accidentally spilled coffee on the code. It's gone for good.

I dont mind being criticized for unpopular opinions. I expect it.
But, please dont spread any lies. I used Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer when I prestiged Blight, which was when he was released. If you run into my Blight, you will see Corrupt, BBQ, Lethal Pursuer and Shadowborn.
I complain about stacking Slowdown, but I dont do it myself, unless I dont have anything else on said Killer.
Lying is not cool.
Oh I didn't suggest it was recent, although you've gone and confirmed it now anyway, this wasn't some doppelgänger of yours then? A wicked killer main trying to frame you perhaps?
It may be an unpopular opinion but I agree r.e. stacked slowdowns. The difference is I
1) don't run them
2) rarely complain about other people running them
3) and I definitely don't do all of the above and then start accusing other people of being hypocrites while....running the meta while complaining about the meta...while complaining about people complaining about the other side's meta...before then admitting to the thing you've been accused of and calling said person a liar in the same breath- like you see how this comes across as a bit bizarre right?
Run what you want, learn to live with what other people run, the game is honestly more fun once you do

You can read "You" as "Someone". Not you specifically.
And well, my empathy might be quite low for Killer players currently, because of the constant complaints and hypocrisy. (And use of unfun playstyles.)
You can just say - Boil Over is a strategy. How about that?
Boil Over might be the first Perk which actually hinders the Killer in a way that they cannot make BPs. Obviously, still more than a Survivor getting facecamped, but usually only Killer players are able to ruin the others experience by not letting them play. The worst thing Survivors were able to do is being annoying. But they cannot really hinder the Killer player to get points or to win.
But now with Boil Over there is a big outcry (which will go down soon, since not many players will run Boil Over anymore after it loses the "new"-feeling) - because suddenly a killer player might not be able to get Hooks. So maybe Killer Mains will stop parroting "It is a strategy" to highly unfun playstyles. Because it is equally a strategy to play Boil Over and spam Map Offerings which benefit the Perk.
Hypocrisy.
Hypocrisy like constantly complaining about killers running slowdown perks when you rock ruin/undying/tinkerer blight? Unless that was just someone else whose steam name is exactly the same as your forum name, underscore and all
I'd give you some advice on getting rush hits (generally you want to use m&k or at least controller, and not a plugged-in steering wheel or dance mat) but with those perks it's not the most important thing to learn tbh

Why does every survivor video have those oversaturated thumbnails?
The perk itself is dumb design. Completely trash for solo players and only works for squads who want to make the opposite side have as little fun as possible. Thankfully I already dodge every Haddonfield, Badham and RCPD offering anyway so the survivors will have to rely on map RNG to get use out of it.
there's strict guidelines that must be adhered to
-
Kinda suspect that he's going against default deathslingers with bad aim who just stare blankly into his flashlight beam. I'm on the same servers and have to be playing at really antisocial hours to get a borked matchup like that.
-
How high does the drop have to be to trigger? The perk has that nice + vague "from a great height" phrasing we know and love from the archive challenges but the wiki claims it's the same heights that would trigger balanced landing...
-
They aren't abusing it. This was all demonstrated to bhvr on the PTB, and they decided it would still go live as is. They could've changed it, they could've made sure every area actually has hooks in it, they could at the very least remove map offerings, they did none of that so this is intended gameplay, for better or worse.

EDIT: I'm going to postpone this challenge until tomorrow, right now things are just too messy with Boil Over squads leading me to discard almost half my games thus far.
Fair. If eyrie offerings are getting spammed playing as trapper also doesn't appeal rn
-
They may have created a couple of troll perks but it's still in the running for best patch ever now they've deleted haddonfield
-
Interesting idea, I'll consider it and report back if I do. Billy is being left out though, even the thought of upcoming archive challenges with him gives me depression 😩
-
I'm a bit rusty with demo but I went against a demo main streamer recently and got destroyed and it was a just great. Demos who use shred often (i.e. not just on the obsession) and insist on shredding off of every possible elevated surface are a treat
-
Last couple of survivor games first involved being left on hook til second stage, a survivor in chase coming over and farming me off hook without BT and me going straight back on it. Next was an afk wraith. I question why I play survivor at all sometimes.
-
I also want him to get battered by Koreans again but not to prove any kind of point I just think it would be funny.
Also I'm calling him Matthew Court from now on.

I assume your last 3 survivor matches didn't go too well?

I don't know, injured and isolated survivors used to open chests for medkits pretty regularly... before CoH obsoleted the need for medkits. The odds of finding a medkit are greater than 1/4, because brown items are the most common result and that'll 1/2 of the time be a medkit.
Being able to self-heal without an available teammate is massive. It doesn't just take out the raw time that's saved compared to healing normally, it takes having to locate a teammate out of the equation, and it allows for recovery in situations where nobody is available to heal you. Medkits are the most powerful item in the game for a reason. I do agree that keys now err on the side of too useless, but people hunting for keys was always a last-ditch effort anyway.
As for 'if the killer snuffs the boon efficiently' - your earlier clause of 'if the survivor plays the boon correctly' invalidates it. Yes, I can efficiently snuff a boon that a Mikaela herp derps next to an unfinished gen (though I may have to trade off snuffing for chasing the survivors off that gen, and the time spent snuffing allows them to safely reach another loop.) There is no efficiently snuffing a boon that's been placed in the corner of the map, by a pallet and gen deadzone, or on a catwalk or detour that isn't normally traversed. Virtually the only times you can snuff a boon and come out ahead timewise is if it's on your gen patrol route or close to a hook and you run by it while you are not currently chasing anyone. If it takes you more than (14/number of survivors alive in the match) seconds to remove a boon, you've lost time.
my biggest problem with them is not really encouraging any strategic placement on the survivor's side (not much in the killer side either in terms of counterplay) If dull totems could be destroyed, if survivors couldn't transfer it without being stomped, if booning took longer each time etc etc it'd be different. Especially with multiple survivors running them. Had an extreme example earlier where I was running COH and SS and the other three survivors all had COH. There were usually 3 totems up at once, sometimes 4, I don't think it went below 2 at any point after the first minute of the game. And none of the totem spots were good, the spirit knew where they all were because all of them got snuffed at least once, it just didn't make much of an impact.

I am glad you asked!
I presume your question targets a scenario where he remained completely unchanged, so: no much-needed QoL improvements and no stupid reworks.
In that specific scenario, I would say he would most likely be a bit higher up on the Tier List.
Self-Care, which most people considered to be his biggest weakness, is no longer in the meta. The Dream World slowdown could directly impact COH, which is the biggest addition to the meta since his rework happened.
DS is weaker now, so are Toolboxes, BT (which hardly affected him anyway) and Exhaustion.
While some of his weaknesses would have remained, namely being unable to interact with Survivors during the Transition and lack of mobility, others would be long gone by now.
Don't forget adrenaline, god I hated that perk
-
I don't really have strong opinions on bloodlust, I played killer during the test and didn't notice any difference, but bloodlust 1 at least has to stay until there are no tiles that would be able to be run forever without it and running in straight lines isn't one of the stronger survivor tactics. But leaving BL in is probably the easier option.

There'd have to change the animation yeah

Sorry things are rough bro <3

I've ran DG with trail of torment on blight before and it works nicely with cocky survivors, just start wandering off and they'll tap it immediately. Also on wraith with bone clapper and insidious but I don't really recommend that

Woof, didn't even think of chainsaw killers. I'd hate to even try them on RPD.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2759863#Comment_2759863
I've...learned to live with RPD. It's a horrible, horrible map - but it's just as horrible for survivors. Hag works okay there, but she doesn't really have many weak maps as is. Myers struggles due to the sheer size of the place, but it's fun ambushing people with him.
It's also weirdly decent for Cenobite, as people really struggle to deal with the box effectively.
Pig...yeah. Video and Ruleset #2 is a nightmare scenario for non SWFs there.
I went against a hag on RPD the other day, was rescued by steam maintenance

Nea's are the best! (yes I play Nea)....I pretty much will always sacrifice myself to save a team mate especially if that team mate has been super helpful throughout the match - ran the killer, healed people, gone out of their way to be helpful for example.
I'd play Nea if I worked for BHVR just for that top they give you
-
COH is overpowered
Shadow step is overpowered on certain maps, which is more an issue with map design
Exponential is fine
-
There's lots of perks that have no actual counter, it just usually doesn't really matter. Unrelenting has no counter.
Other ones mentioned do though. COH - anti boon builds, unbreakable - don't slug, monstrous shrine - don't go down near basement, visionary - blindness perks/addons, tombstone/piece - lockers
Not necessarily great counters but they're out there
I guess you could argue unrelenting is countered by making sure the killer always hits you? 🤔
-
And get matched with people doing the same thing, who treat dbd like it's a job that they don't even enjoy? Pass
-
I decided to play some killer for the first time in ages yesterday and started out with her, had a pretty fun time. Also since the last time I've played I broke my headphones, (I trod on them) got some better ones and now I can often hear uninjured survivor breathing, it feels dirty 😈
I would've played more as her and will again but I hadn't tried out birdbrain yet so the rest of the night was dedicated to her.
-
C. Gotta go fast
-
I'll play occasionally but not that much anymore, and only survivor. Still log in for rewards and such for if/when I get back into it, I just usually then exit and play something else. It's not MMR for me but just various factors and vague burnout

the pain of existing on eu
since more hit validations were added it's not so painful for the other side with a decent VPN. I've never had any complaints anyway, and I've asked in postgame. You'll get more hits cancelled ofc, also playing huntress might be pushing it a bit
-
Also against a hillbilly when I was a bit fresher, I spawn in with a Bill, the billy guesses right and zooms over to the gen next to us, I panic and run out straight into the saw. Go straight onto the hook next to me, Bill farms me off immediately, downed again, hooked again, farmed again, sacrificed. I think I was in-game for just over a minute and got about 300 points D:
-
Ew. At least you were playing someone who can teleport? Not much of a silver lining I know
