I've been in 3 tournaments on PS4. First place, second place and lost on the 3rd tournament due to having a random team who never practiced. Never once saw a Hag. Pig, Billy and Spirit are people's favorites.

Yup! My main (Trapper) had a balanced match against equally skilled survivors, or at least it was a fun yet tough match. 3K and the survivor escaped via Exit Gates. The last killed was done during EGC.
Tried Huntress after that and bearing in mind I have not played her more than once before, so my aim was shoddy and had no add-ons or offerings. 0k :(. However, one Nea was an excellent juker. 2 gens went quick at the start. I held them a while with 2 gens remaining and hooked 3 of them at least once. Nea remained unscathed, but they felt above my skillset. My only concern is that I also played poorly, and as another killer I would probably have done much better.
Thank you. It might just be taking MMR a long time play someone after all.

So I played two games as survivor and in both I got hit behind pallets like I dropped the pallet I was behind it and THEN the killer swung and I still got hit this happened to my friend too and I'm playing on 60 ping. Anyone else have this issue because survivor for me is unplayable rn.
@Zozzy said:
I had this against huntress the other day with 25 ping.
I think it is just killers using a VPN and the servers are to cheap to deal with it.
I got hit after walking 4 or 5 steps away from a window and also by a hatchet after i had long turned the corner and started running along the wall of a jungle gym.
It's the killer's high ping. The server usually gives you equal ping but sometimes you get VPN killers from Russia, Chile or China that has 200 ping or higher and just wrecks your #########. Same can be said on survivors. They'll have hits go through them as they run. Good times.
-
It's ping to the servers from your side to the killers side. The difference is seen. If the killer has 60 ms and you have 100 ms, you can bet your ass one of you will see the other teleport at some point. Might be the killer teleporting through the pallet then teleporting back to the opposite side or the survivor disappearing 2-5 steps in some random direction when down. It's latency and the higher the number, the more distance you'll see some crazy ######### happen.

The nerf that we all needed! Clown was OP! No seriously, what the hell?
As for balance;
The current matchmaking demonstrates us perfectly that matches with players of different skill levels are incredibly unfair. So is it the game that is unbalanced or is it the matchmaking that created unfair matches in all those years?
To find out if the game is balanced, the system needs to put TOP TIER players against each other. The best Killers vs the best Survivors, that is a representation of "balance" because the matches are FAIR and the players know how to play, how to abuse mechanics.
It's no coincidence that in tournaments you mostly see tunneling Spirits, Hags and Nurses. If they played other Killers and didn't tunnel, they would get destroyed.
You don't see Hags. You see Pigs.

It could also be that many players didn't play as obsessively as I did during the event, or as frequently as I have been playing after the event ended, so its taking longer to assess them. Honestly, before July, I played maybe 1-2 times per week, 1-3 hours per session, and sometimes just took a whole week or 2 off, but when the event kicked in, I played way more often than I had all year, and afterwards, with a rekindled love for the game, I've been playing more regularly. However, If other players played through July Like I had previously been playing in prior months, then I can totally see the system having trouble placing them in proper matches, at least not for a few more weeks. It's Just a theory, but It's all I've got right now.
They should up the point system in the MMR for a week or 2 to quickly sort the better players from the new then switch it back. That'll help people get situated faster with the MMR then help settle it without wacking new players a lot.

Still new to DBD (playing about 2 months, rank 1-2 survivor, rank 14 killer - survivor main, rarely play killer)
My testing thus far:
Rank 2 survivor - getting rank 15-20 killers, easy games. Poor killer lol.
Playing SWF with brand new rank 20 survivors - getting rank 1 killers. My poor friends, rip.
Playing SWF with rank 1-3 survivors - rank 15-20 killers. Again, poor killer.
Played Ghostface as a rank 14 killer - I hardly ever play killer. Never have played Ghostface in a game (level 1, 1 perk, etc) - all rank 19/20's and a random rank 5.
My most played killer is Doc (for farming bloodpoints yeee), still rank 13 killer (pipped since ghostface) - Red rank sweaty game. I've played MAYBE a total of 20-30 games on him ever, and not very well, I might add.
I KNOW ranks don't matter, but they DO give an idea of how much experience someone has in the game. Even without taking that into consideration, there is no way (been collecting data for months, remember) that I should have brand new killers as an experienced survivor, or red rank survivors as a new killer.
What are they taking into consideration with the new MMR? How many times you survived? Gens done? Unhooks? If that's the case, I should have killers that are far more difficult to play against. And for killer? I get 2k's most times - what are they considering for this to give me red ranks?
It might just be taking a long time to get our correct ranks but it doesn't make since when it comes to good killers getting new players but the bad ones who we rarely use are getting the hard ones. Honestly, not sure what they'll be doing. Might be adding a baseline to MMR to prevent certain amount of hours to go against certain players no matter what.

Pretty much 2-3 days a week ever since she came out, but during the anniversary event I played her, doc and legion on a rotating cycle for about 3-5 hours per day while stocking up on Gateau's for 5 killers (ended up with 600+) and P3'ing Pyramid Head (not actually playing him until he was P3'd and maxed on perks), so if the MMR was gathering data then, I should expect my doc and legion games to be roughly the same high MMR match-ups, which is something I'll have to test. After the event though, I play maybe 2-3 hours a day, but primarily as Plague, which is probably why the MMR feels like its being so mean to me.
It's honestly such a Weird feeling when your best killer suddenly gets paired with players that make you feel useless, when before you felt godly with them. Those kinds of teams used to be a Rare encounter for me in the high ranks when playing before the MMR system came out, so to be paired with them for 5 games in a row was way more than I was ready for, and frustrating as hell. I definitely ended up feeling a hard slap of humility, and shame by the end of that gaming session, but wonder if the MMR system was just judging me too high because of my previous record of wins vs losses with her, or if I was just unfortunate enough to be playing at the wrong time of day.
Thank you kindly. Interesting. Something is definitely going on with the MMR then. Maybe its not placing people fast enough.

From my end, there is no in-between.
Even though I do main huntress, I pretty much play each and every killer. There are no more than two options no matter the killer, either I get placed against soloQ rank 17-20. OR I get thrown 4man squad with ALWAYS Two Object Of Obsession. Like, in one hand I do win with 5 gens left, in the other hand I get my first hook after losing my all five gens.
Then the next game, back to my rank 20s. I'm rank 1 in both sides and I still havent played a "fair game". It's black or white.
Really frustrating to see that this system is actually encouraging people to play in squads in order to completely annihilate killers.
At high Elo' there will only be 4mans Squad facing God Nurses, a lotta fun.
Also, this happens regardless of the killer I play.
I play each killer also but I play certain ones more than others. I rarely play Wraith but maybe 12 games out of the month but I play others a lot more and frequently switch. I've noticed that Wraith keeps getting rank 1s and the ones that I do really well with are getting 20s. I'm just trying to find a solution but you got to find the problem first. Thank you for your input, by the way. Can you play the killer that you do most time on a few times then play the killer that you do absolute ######### as or who has the lowest play time?

I dunno, I main Plague as my go-to girl of domination (used to be doc). In an effort to test the new MMR system, I tried out the new Billy for a couple of games, and was paired with teams that are primarily low skilled players, and maybe a single high skill/ranked player. Billy is literally the only killer I haven't ranked up past lvl 37, and haven't played a single match with in over a year, He barely has 2 pages of low rank perks and very few add-on's. I never liked playing Billy, his mechanics just never "gelled" with me, but that's probably because I have poor vision, and don't like his slow turning controls while chainsaw sprinting. Due to this I figured he would be perfect for testing the MMR, and the results seemed fair enough for me.
However, in order to make the comparison accurate I went back to playing my go-to girl, and as soon as I did, I got utterly destroyed by some of the sweatiest teams I've ever faced. 5 losses in a row, some of which were the most embarrassing defeats I've ever had (like 1 hook and 4 escapes in less than 5 mins embarrassing), and I started to wonder if I was just having an "Off day", or got too used to going up against low skilled players because of the previous matches I played as Billy.
Before the MMR system, I easily ranked up to 1 with Plague, had a High opinion of her as an underrated killer, and regularly dominated in matches with My favorite build designed to put survivors "between a rock and a hard place", but after the MMR system went live, it was like I had never played against this caliber of skilled survivor teams before, and felt totally powerless with my best killer.
I know my experience so far hasn't been universal, but as far as I'm concerned, the MMR system is working, if a little TOO well for me. Granted, it may have just been because of the time of day I was playing, or some other factor wherein the only teams available for my best killer to go up against were higher skill players or full-on sweaty SWFs, but to have that happen for 5 games in a row felt like the game was saying "Oh? You think you're good with Plague huh? Lets test that little theory and give you a healthy dose of humility you cocky little #########!"
After that I Played survivor, because I needed to have some relaxing games to calm down, lick my wounds, and cheer me up. I suck as survivor, but so did the teams and killers I was paired with (except for a Clown who was R1 and dominated us with ease for 1 round), so overall It was better than I had hoped for. Maybe I'll try Playing my Go-to girl again tonight, but now that I'm expecting it to be hardcore mode if I do, I'm a bit apprehensive of giving it a try.
How long since you played Plague before MMR was released?

I absolutely feel the same.
For example, I play a lot of Clown, I'm competent and can face strong teams - maybe I will win, maybe I will lose, but it's still a fair game (if they don't just gen rush, of course, but that's dbd, not the clown). On the contrary, I basically never play Demo, I probably have 1 or 2 two games with him in the past month.
The result is that with the clown now I'm facing rank 20s (literally, I have proof just from today), while with Demo I get much more competent teams.
I can understand why Demo might be misplaced, since I don't play him very often, but what about the Clown? That's what really perplexes me.
Still, I decided to vacate any judgement on the mmr system until I play at least 10 games with every killer from the patch, just to make sure. We'll see.
P.S. BHVR - FPS ON CONSOLE SUCKS. GIVE US AN ANSWER.
That's what I'm guessing. MMR is working but doing the opposite of what its supposed to do. When I won, I got easier players. When I lost, I was getting harder players.

The reason why I was thinking this is due to the fact that I got a bunch of Rank 1s with killers that I rarely play but nothing but 20s as killers that I play a lot. It was weird. At first, it was a mixture of highs and lows then some highs but now nothing but newbies with my normal killers.

Why /s? We know literally nothing about this game other than the screenshot. Rank =/= skill, and everyone agrees on that. The killer was rank 7, but they were also a Doctor using only Overcharge I, so it was probably their first game as Doctor under the new MMR. After this match the rank 20's skill should drop, the killer's should go up, etc. and the matches should get better going forward.
Plus, the killer ended up with 32k points and three survivors got up to 19-26k. That's a sign that the survivors probably made good progress on generators and they had a nice long match. In other words, it probably wasn't that unbalanced, even with the rank 20 and the killer probably having very little history for the system to work with.
Could there be more protection for rank 20s? Sure, but this system will protect them over time as all of the experienced players have a MMR to reflect their experience.
Let's wait more than 3 days before whining.
/s means sarcasm

I think its a wonderful idea. Everyone could vote on the power that they like the most, outfits, theme and such. It would be a community killer. I made a pun :D but seriously, it would do wonders for positivity since everyone had a part in the new killer.

Hm. When I played Wraith, I barely have 20 hours played with him because I think he's terrible. I'll need more people to check. Could just be random or an anomaly. Could you play as a killer who you haven't played regularly with again?

I have been thinking the same thing. On my nurse main i was getting baby rank 20 survivors that bought the game when it went on sale like 3 days ago.
On demogorgon, who i have played less than 5 times in the last month or so, i got rank 1 SWF tryhard sweaty people.
I am rank 1 every rank reset for the last like, 2 years with 1k hours played.
Same thing with me! I played Wraith and got crushed in 4 minutes by all Rank 1's after each match but switched to Leatherface and rank 20s xD

-
@Orion Could you please do a few matches with your main then play a killer who you barely touch and see what the results are, please?

@PrettyFaceKate said:
I got an average team with Myers, which I'd been playing a lot before the patch. Then it went very downhill from there. They're literally throwing baby Dwights at me.
An easy team with Clown, whom I hadn't touched in maybe 3 weeks.
A very sweaty team with Huntress, OoO and all the rest. I haven't played as her in a couple of months.
I don't know if this helps. Anyway, what looks backward to me is that I'm stomping teams and I get matched with increasingly easier competition. At least, that's my experience right now.
So Huntress wasn't used for months but you're getting super hard survivors. That's what happened to me. I switched to Wraith who I play in a blue moon and got Rank 1's consistently. Played as Billy and Spirit and got 20s and I play them daily. It started to get better then just started giving me new players but my killers who I rarely or never play anymore got my current rank. Thank you. I think the MMR is working backwards. Your main should get better survivors and your rarely played should get newer survivors (since you don't have much MMR with it) but it's reversed.

Yesterday I was playing as Pig and while crouched I noticed a scratch mark and so I thought I would be smart and scare the survivor near a gen that was barely touched, so I go through a pallet and BAM! This Blendette stuns me and I nearly dropped my coffee. 😂 I was like “killer?? Where?!?” Was the funniest match I’ve had in a while.
I've sped through Yamaoka Estate with Billy using Infectious Fright and Both Speed add-ons. I ended up hitting a P3 Claudette in bushes that I didn't even see. The sudden stop and scream from my perk startled me so bad that I jumped and hit my knee under my desk. Everything was a blur using them as a meme together. Introduction
A bit of a mouthful of a title, but allow me to explain what this post is all about. Recently I have been doing some personal preservation guides for Tome 3 and now Tome 4's challenges, these guides focus primarily on preserving the blood-point reward bonuses that you gain when completing these challenges and each challenge that is saved is specifically cherry picked to gain the most "saved BPs at the end".
If you're still confused, then allow me to be a bit more descriptive of what I mean. During the first 2 Tomes DBD released, streamers thought of a way to preserve their challenges for use later when a new DLC drops. This allows them to get that Killer/Survivor to prestige 3 on the first day (or near the first day) of the DLCs release. This guide specifically shows you how to do this for your own benefit, but it also gives you an exact route you can copy that has been devised by myself as the best BP route.
A short disclaimer
Keep in-mind that i'm only human and that I might make a mistake that costs a few saved BPs on the way. That's why I encourage those who do take this example to go over it yourself just to be sure, if you want to that is. As for anything else, there will be a more in-depth explanation below on how to follow the guide.
[Tome 4] Level 1 Challenges - 270,000 blood-points saved
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/2ZL8ZX1XVFJ9/image.png
This is a complete preservation route that was created by me and revised by @Fibijean for a quick and simple review. When going over the rough draft of this guide I usually create multiple routes to ensure that the criteria for the best route is met, hence why I present to you with this one as THE best route out of the five that were gone over.
If you follow the routes specific guidelines than you'll be saving about 270,000 blood-points as a result, which can be used elsewhere at your leisure.
How to follow the guide
The image itself is pretty much self explanatory, but for those of you that're looking for a more descriptive explanation than please, look no further. As you can see above, there are two color coded circles or "nodes" that're accompanied by two lines that connect to one another.
The red lines that connect to the blue nodes are explaining what challenges you're completing and claiming the rewards to, while the yellow lines show you which challenges are unlocked for completion. The yellow nodes indicate which challenges can be completed and preserved for later use.
Why should I follow this guide?
Before going over how to follow the guide it's important to note what this guide provides you when completed. The goal here is to complete several specific challenges while also opening routes to other challenges that you can complete and preserve. When you "preserve" a challenge, you're completing the requirements that the challenge asks of you, but you're not claiming the rewards to the completed challenge.
Now you might ask "why would I not claim the rewards to these specific challenges, but I am claiming the rewards to the other ones?" Well to put it simply, by completing specific challenges and preserving others, you're creating a stock pile of rewards that you can use later on in the future.
After the currently active Rift is completed some of those rewards are lost such as the Rift Shards that these challenges provide. But the one reward you're preserving these challenges for is the blood-points, which you can use later on for future DLC and other things as well.
This technique is practiced by many streamers to create a stockpile of BPs for future DLC, which also gives them the ability to Prestige 3 a Killer or Survivor during the first day of a new DLCs release. This is primarily what this guide focuses on.
an important drawback to the guide itself
By following this guide you're cutting out a portion of the shards you would've received from these specifically preserved challenges. Now you might ask "what does this mean?" and to be blunt, it means your grind for each tier on The Rift will be slightly longer due to the loss of those shards when they're preserved.
This might not be an issue since a new DLC usually drops around the ending portion of each active Rift, if of course you're just using it for the new DLC. If it's for something else that's after that active Rift ends, than a lot more bonus games are required to make up for that shard loss.
Usually when completing every level for a new tome you're rewarded with around 30 to 34 tiers of shards. So around 300 to 340 shards are rewarded if every challenge is completed and claimed. When cutting around half of those challenges out of this equation, it looks to be more around 20 to 25 tiers or 200 to 250 shards depending on how many challenges are preserved. Usually when preserving challenges you're preserving the most challenges you can to actively claim later, so the amount of shards you get because of this may vary.
So to be more specific, if you're looking to follow this guide to use these challenges for anything outside of the active rifts life-cycle, than you're looking at a lot more work to put in to gain more shards that you lost because of the guide itself.
A player averages around 400 to 500 exp on a regular game, while 600 to 700 for a optimal game. The exp rates can change depending on the role, but the overall amount of games you will need to make up for those shards is a lot more as a result. 800 exp is required for 1 passive shard which the rift gives you when you meet this requirement, so do keep this in-mind if you go along with this guide but don't use any of the preserved rewards outside of that active rifts life-cycle.
an explanation for non-selected, In-progress, completed, or preserved challenges.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/CLIJ1Y7ZMT8Q/image.png
To start off, this is what a brand new challenge looks like when a new tome or level is introduced. Usually these are simply called "non-selected" or "unfinished" challenges. These in-complete challenges are also present in tomes or levels you have not completed prior.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/QU2VI9YT5UEE/image.png
This is what an in-progress challenge looks like, the bright blue light and shimmering effects that come off it indicate that the challenge is currently being worked on. A challenge will look like this when you select a blank or "non-selected" challenge that has no color to it.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/2678RID9VH8O/image.png
This is what a preserved challenge looks like when you completed it but did not claim the rewards to it. This is what you're doing to the yellow nodes above to preserve their rewards. Once the "in-progress" challenge is completed, it'll change to this specific icon to reflect that the rewards are ready to be claimed.
Completed but unclaimed challenges also don't provide new routes to other challenges, so it's optional to take different routes to preserve certain challenges or complete specific challenges to gain access to others. When going over which nodes you want to preserve, you want to preview which routes to take to avoid losing more BPs than it's worth. Essentially speaking, each decision you make has an affect on other routes and challenges you could or could've preserved.
With all that being said, the example provided above is what I believe to be the most optimal route you could take for this level of Tome 4, so it's ultimately unnecessary to go over it even more.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/9Q3P9LGYHW99/image.png
This is what a completed challenge looks like, this means that the challenges rewards were claimed and the challenge itself changes to this color to reflect that. When a challenge is completed and the rewards are claimed, it provides new routes to other challenges that you can do. It's important to be aware of this when you're devising your own routes or following the example above.
Conclusion
Hopefully this guide can be useful for players that're looking to Prestige 3 a new character during their Day 1 release, but also just for players that're curious about the practice or interested in integrating it into other things they do daily. Perhaps for a future DLC outside of the active rifts life-span or whatever that may be.
I would like to thank @Fibijean again for her contribution towards the creation of this guide. The revised image she helped created was exactly what I was looking for in a guide such as this, but I would also like to thank her for her role in revising a lot of the text you see above as well. Without her help, this guide couldn't have been possible.
I do hope you enjoyed this guide and found some use out of it. Stay safe out there, see you in the fog...
I will take heed to your guide and well done! Very organized and seems to be well thought out.

It’s the funnest part about the game for me.
The mind-games, the RNG, the uncertainty and outcomes. Those are things you remember... you don’t remember holding M1.
With that being said, I do wish some loops were more interesting. Have structures where parts of the wall are falling, or objects you can interact with during a chase, like grabbing a random axe on the wall to break through a wall and create another “way” to that room etc
I made a post a while back (before breakable walls) where windows could potentially become doorways (my idea was a possible solution to god windows) as a way to interact with the killer AND the environment, through different vaulting phases:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/W03N3Y6MUFTV/5f81ba56-c50e-4c3e-867c-cee15b527c0b.png
Basically the more you vaulted it, the more it would crumble down until it because just an open doorway.
That's really cool.

Oh you meant that removing it was a bug? I'll try putting up a report then.
Yes. I doubt they meant to remove it. Otherwise, they would have mentioned it in the patch notes.

What if the person doesn't HAVE people to practice in KYF with? I can say from experience, the new player experience in this game is grueling as #########. I started over 3 years ago and there were so many times I wanted to quit, esp as I was playing completely solo back then. I stuck around, but I can completely understand if a new player didn't want to, DBD is a baby player stomping ground. Playing with and against people with hundred if no thousands of experience to your tens of hours, not the mention the flaming you get for not knowing what the hell to do, it's hella unfun.
The in-game tutorial could honestly use a LOT of work, esp if a person has to rely on youtube to learn basic mechanics of the game. Where's the in-game flashlight tutorial? The tutorial about survivor and killer add-ons (not what they do, but how to equip them, as stupid as it sounds that does stump a LOT of new players), about equipping offerings? The tutorial on how to equip perks??? How about where to FIND the Shrine? There's nothing I can see in the tutorial about killers who don't have a terror radius (aka Tier 1 Mikey), or about how certain perks can take AWAY or lower terror radius or the red stain? What about Doctor and his Clones? Madness? How THAT can affect the terror radius and stain? What about how when the doc shocks you you can't drop pallets or vault windows, and that that's NOT a bug but an intended feature? Like there's SO much that can frustrate and stump new players that's just not covered, that they may think is a bug or someone hacking, when it's really just a feature of the game.
Ah, that's a better way to explain the situation. I'm so used to those that I honestly forgot that new players probably don't know about them. They should update the tutorial and just give basic versions of different powers so they understand.
I learned flashlights, loops, tiles and builds from YouTube videos. It's my go-to when I want to learn something on a game. It's how I get guides for achievements and such. I know the starting of DBD is harsh. I've explained this already. I had to endure it to get better when I started. I've been through a lot, learning the game and how to survive longer.
It's not always fun. For either side. There was streamers who would make content based upon deranking and bullying new players. Yes, it's not easy for new players but the playerbase is a bit different than awhile back. I would assume that YouTubers and Twitch Streamers don't make content on Rank 15s-20s anymore. They're more helpful and try to allow them a chance to live.
When I started, there was none of that. You got caught, face camped and that was it. No rescue was possible. Yes, the game has changed a lot since then but acting like new players are fragile and will quit after being killed is silly. I got mad back then because I waited 30 minutes to an hour for a match just to be face camped for a minute and 30 seconds as soon as I was seen. THAT wasn't fun.
I don't think the current playerbase (majority) will bully and just obliterate new players if they act clueless. I can guarantee not everyone will do that. That's my issue. Yes, you will die a lot as a new survivor and your chance of being face camped as a new survivor by a new killer is super high. That's how people play when they're new.
At least people are not deranking to obliterate newbies for content. MMR is definitely not accurate right now. Something is wrong with it. Seems to be backwards. Your mains get newbies and the killers you rarely play gets the ranks that you should be getting. I've noticed this today. It seems to be reversed.

It's a pretty significant change though, it's weird that they didn't mention it at all.
I would assume Bug. You should make a bug report and see if you can get an answer.

According to the wiki, 2 seconds is the default stun duration and Enduring reduces it to 1 second.
Also, I included a video with the tech being used in the original post.
Thank you. It's either a bug or it was removed. I'm gonna say bug but I could be wrong. With Enduring, there was a time after DS was changed that they increased the stun time with Enduring to help DS and once it was changed, Enduring had an increase time. Now Enduring says 50%. Not sure it they fixed it awhile back but I do know some testing was done and it was proven back then that Enduring was accidentally nerfed.

I really enjoy the chase so looping adds to it. I don't like mindless loops.

Those numbers are way too high. I'm not even sure if the default pallet stun lasts 2 seconds. I'll see if I can find a clip though.
That's not using add-ons to reduce CS rev time and Enduring was 1.5 seconds but now its 2 seconds.
Edit: I was adding the 2 movement speed add-ons to get 5 seconds. Its 2.5 and 3.5 when breaking a pallet. Just tested it in KYFs. My bad.

Well it's been around for years, so I assumed they knew about it.
Base charge time for the CS was 5 seconds, I believe without add-ons. Enduring took a stun to 2 seconds before you could interact. I don't think a 2 second difference is much. Can you show me a video of the old stun?

I don't play Billy much because I'm really bad at him, but I've been playing around with him recently and I noticed a change that I didn't see in any of the patch notes. His charge meter doesn't retain any of its charge after you're stunned by a pallet. This used to be a useful feature that allowed you to break pallets faster when combined with Enduring. Is this a bug, or a nerf to Billy that the devs didn't tell us about?
I don't believe it was supposed to do that but I could be wrong.

I'm gonna have to agree with both of you on this one. There shouldn't be anyone bashing on an obvious new person.

Really? I press M2 until fully charged, let it go and i press it again before it fully depletes? Is the window so tight?
Once it's fully revved and the dash starts, you don't have to hold the button down anymore but you do have to click per tick. 3 grunts, click. That's the easiest way to do it.
Edit: Same button to use a tick is the same for starting the initial rev.

It's absolutely awful.
Played two rounds as killer tonight: one against all Rank 20s (I'm a 9-11 killer) -- it was their first night owning the game. The next against all Rank 1s. I've played about 30 minutes as Nurse, so it's not matching me on skill. Decided to play as survivor -- I'm rank 3 -- and was matched against a Rank 20 Trapper (He had one perk).
This game isn't fun anymore.
It was already filled with toxicity, but now I'm exposed to people way out of my league who are ultra toxic, or I'm way out of their league, which isn't fun for either of us.
I was getting the right ranks and now I'm getting nothing but 20s -_- so I switched to Wraith who I rarely play and suck as and after a few matches of me getting 2 kills usually, I start getting Rank 1 SWF teams who just obliterate me xD then switched back and got Rank 20s again xD Its like it was starting to do its job and decided to quit and do the opposite of what it was supposed to do xD
I have never been so confused on this game. I was praising it and felt it was improving and now it's just doing weird stuff now. It's forcing me against Rank 20s nonstop. It's backwards.

Good question. I believe having total hours in game as all killers, both survivor & killer and player level should carry a weight as well. The only time when a rank 20-17 survivor should be going against a killer with a collective 250+ total in-game hours or more is if the are playing with a swf team.
I'm a huge fan of killers having individual mmr's but there are other things that need to be initially taken into account. While 'hours played' is not an indicator of skill it 'should' bring along with it an inherent understanding of fundamental gameplay mechanics that those lesser ranks have not grasped yet.
I believe they're doing a change with something in mind to help newer players now.

Do... do you really not understand Twitch and the difference between VOD views and live viewers? VODs - that is, video recordings of streams - are saved after the stream ends. The view count they show is how many people watched the VOD. Not the stream, because the VOD isn't the stream. It's a recording of the stream. The VOD view count and the stream viewer count are independent. The stream could have had 5 million viewers live, but if only 5 people have watched the VOD the VOD view count will be 5.
I was already explained to. Thank you, though. Fixes a lot of problems when people just explain it rather than calling people names and such. Creates an understanding instead of resentment.

Yeap. He was nice and let them do 3 gens before even starting moving. But they were classic survivors who just got the game. 2 rank 20 with only 1 perk slot. What a crappy introduction to game. I would probably try to get a refund from Steam. The result was predictable. One person with half an hour experience probably playing his 3rd or 4th match. That's just sad.
We all got to start somewhere.

Yes, I suppose Twitch makes it confusing by counting recorded stream views separately from live stream views. I think Youtube counting system is better.
He is playing with a team where one of survivors has 0.5 hours of experience and he is letting them to do 3 gens before starting killing. LOL :D
He's playing as PH. I know. He's stated that they don't have any MMR so he's being nice. He plays how I play when I think people are new. I tried Twitch from YouTube a few years back but hated it. I like having a video recorded and don't have a set up good enough to handle restream or double monitors. Been watching him for a bit. I use to watch him on YouTube due to my schedule.

Its hard to say, because I mean if you look at the results his strategy was actual pretty effective right? If you wait to drop at the last second and get cucked by dedicated servers that would stink so sometimes dropping early feels necessary.
And your rescue scenario is another good one, I’m like you I would prefer to save my teammate with BT if possible and take the hook/death myself but I wonder if they will hurt my MMR in the long run?
I know that I started using the word dedicated for when I would get hit through pallets after already dropping them so some matches I'm forced to drop them early due to the killer's latency screwing me. I know we can't know but a general idea would go a long way so we don't do stupid actions like NOED rescues that get us punished. Is it based upon damage, hooks, heals or based upon the current system but to a less ordeal?

"never applied pressure to the other"
->all survivor injured in 2 minutes
->match over in 7 minutes without heals
->still doesn't tunnel
->still forced in a 2k because UB/DS
->one survivor wastes 10 pallets and still can't get punished
"Lol he is so average, I would have done so much better!"
This is when you tunnel, slug and do what you must as killer. You play nice all the time and survivors will burn you. You can't play like that and expect survivors to just walk around. You have to force them off.

Just because it's the survivor objective to hold down a button, doesn't mean gen rush doesn't exist. Gen rush is something that exists whether you believe it to be or not. I'm not gonna go an throw out whether you play killer or not, but I can tell it's not often.
Also how is he supposed to apply pressure when he's chasing someone already? He has to down them, take them to a hook, and travel (legion doesn't have much traversal speed) to another survivor that's most likely sitting on a gen on the opposite side of the map. He can't be everywhere at once. If you say he's an average killer you're either trolling or you're the type to rely on second chance perks and call it "skill".
You have to micromanage a lot of things as killer. It's why slugging is a must then chasing another off a gen to force another survivor to get off one to heal the slugged player. Its all about time management.

No problem. I just get annoyed by questions that people can easily find the answers themselves in less time than it takes to type another reply.
He is a sweet man. That's why he has so many followers. And I learned to call killers "mister killer" from him :)
You have to remember. Not everyone uses Twitch. Some are from YouTube and it's based upon total views. When I went to check yesterday, he was already offline so all I saw was 500 views. It's easier to explain it than to just tell them to figure it out. Its how people come to their own conclusions like I did. Thanks again. Just something small makes the world of a difference.
