Jason is better for two main facts especialy the one.
First his mobility has more use on maps and doesnt get effected by map rng like springtrap doors does like exsample on dead saloon theres door under the main su when you exit there any survivor on top of the main hears you and swamp has it too I believe even xeno has this problem with his mobility while jason can get everywhere. His mobilities use of how it works plus the tracking thats big and especialy its small cooldown its way better then springtrap.
Second is just "IF" but jasons spear is better for people that can get shots and have great aim, springtrap has more less punishing power for missing because he gets 5% speed and has 7 seconds cooldown till he can recall his axe while jason after missing must go out of his way to get spear so its more rng based but very accurate jason that hits majority of his shots beats springtrap player who hits most of his shots.
Jason mainly outranks springtrap with how much more better his mobility is because springtrap must go to certain point and enter door and can exit only on other door while survivors know about him exiting close to them by door sound so this makes him worse.
For range powers I would say they are not so much off like springtraps max level potencial is huge due to orbitals that beat many loops but are in reality super hardcore and unreliable, jasons spear is stronger especialy the ones from hooks but he gets more punnished for missing while springtraps axe is more mistake friendly.
Jasons wins due to his more free mobility that has low cooldown and tracking plus more ways of use then springs doors.
For now I would say springtrap doesnt need buffs (maybe some addons) but he is fine, unless they give survivors more interaction with doors and he will fall into xeno or old larry effect where the counterplay with his part of power is strong so they will have to buff him hard.
We can see it on xeno now how good survivors with well placed turrets make many people to rather not to touch him (funnily many whine to face him more or see him more), we could saw it on old larry that wasnt bad but emps totaly wreck his power in seconds and people called him larry or by his thrailer quote "it wasnt programmed to harm the crew".
I bet many will remember that larry part and take the fact that xeno is in 10 most unplayed killers even when he isnt that much of a bum compare to others but thats funny thing with many unplayed killers like twins, krasue, artist.
Jason is forced to teleport to certain locations with either windows or pallets. That hinders him just as much as Springtraps Doors. Springtrap has no terror radius once he's out of his door, Jason does. There is a direct counter to Jason's movement. Just crouch/stay away from windows and doors.
My favorite is to bait him towards a pallet then run away. While he's coming out of it, you're far away. Springtrap can also recall his axe after a short time, meaning he has to never reload plus gets a normal movement speed once his axe is gone, so even if he misses, he still gets a buff in return. Jason doesn't get the same.
He moves the survivor farther away from his initial hit plus they still get the movement speed buff from the hit. When it comes to range killers, he's just not as good as Springtrap. Also, Jason's slower forcing him to use his power to reload his spots plus look for the survivor again. If they immediately crouch, more times out of 10, he won't see them again when he comes back out from grabbing a reloaded spot.
Springtrap can also ignore most stone walls, cars and even loops with his axe if you're good enough with his arch. Jason is at the mercy of waiting until he can get a clear shot, while slowing down while aiming. We can compare both all day, but Springtrap has the superior projectile. He doesn't need to throw across the map.
Springtrap is great as a loop-stopper. Hit them over the loop, as they run, catch up with normal speed and either recall, or let them remove it then wham! Another axe throw to finish it or melee them. You cannot loop Springtrap like you can most other range killers. That's a fact. His arch gives him an advantage over others plus his doors keep him quiet and great for another ambush that doesn't alert the entire map to hide.
All range killers are known for something, but Springtrap will always be the best when it comes to nailing people with trick shots because even if you try to hide behind something, someone who's great at him will always find a way to nail you with it. Huntress cannot do that upclose. Jason cannot do it upclose. Deathslinger cannot either. Maybe Unknown but he's for a different discussion altogether.
-
Springtrap is one of my favorite killers and he's one of the better range killers too. He can ignore most objects if you know the projectory of his axe. I think Jason is worse than Springtrap. Springtrap is one of the few who can throw over stuff like cars so I disagree. He doesn't need buffs.

I mean I don't think it really needs a nerf, but I don't think it's that strange for a meta perk to get complaints.
Everyone complains about literally EVERYTHING that killer does. To yall, every perk a killer runs that might help them is problematic and meta. Just play the game and have fun. NOED is far superior, yet a perk that shows your aura for an early chase is bad. We literally spawn near gens every match.

we do not care about “25% extra points in the deviousness category”. it is pure bloodweb clutter- taking up slots that could contain stuff we could actually use
please just retire the common and uncommon bloodpoint offerings, its really that simple. no change, just retire.
INFACT, that was literally the entire reason yous got rid of the original brown and yellow map offerings.
Except for the Bloody Party Streamers, Salty Pudding and Escape cakes (obviously).
-
Really? Aura perks are now on the hate list for killers? Just rotating stuff through, huh? Next it'll be back to hook perks again. Then gen blocking perks. Then Regression perks. It never ends with the complaints. I rather have all aura reading than someone with 4 regression or gen blocking perks.

I have not played jason but in what ive seen, his spear looks like i would have issues with it for that same reason. hard to understand where i need to aim
His actual spear is directly in the center like most but unlike the rest where its to the left of the screen so you can see better, his spear takes up half of the screen and now you have to manually focus on the spears' tip as the reticle. It needs to be moved slightly to the left so I can see the survivors actions and movement and predict when to throw. Hard to do that when the left side of the screen is covered by his projectile. It doesn't need moved up or down. Just a little to the left so its not blocking the survivors when they zig-zag and wiggle, but keep the actual throw spot directly in the center as it currently is.

There are more Survivor and more Killer characters in the game than there were this time last year. That means more BP is needed by the average player to spend on perks, items, add-ons and offerings between them. In what way is it then desirable or reasonable that there are fewer of the event offerings that increase BP available overall? I don't want this to become something about hurt feelings or failed expectations, so let's just stick with the mathematics. If Tortes are not random but fixed within the bloodweb at a low frequency it's going to be very hard to accumulate any decent number on any one character without burning millions of BP at a time, and with 45 Killers and 56-odd Survivors, even the 15 million bonus we've received doesn't go very far.
I completely agree with this. We should be getting at least 5 cakes per bloodweb. I mean, its the 10th ANNIVERSARY!! Make it a BIG celebration and help the newer players get the perks and the veteran players get closer to that sweet Prestige 100 for their favorites! Its a win-win!
-
Glad all those cheaters who modded their accounts gets rewarded for doing nothing at all!

@DavidByDaylight said:
I simply let the high ping killer win. imo, high ping = cheating no matter what. Does not worth my time on a unfair match.
Its funny because when I play killer, my grabs break from gens, they make it over a pallet even though they aren't even halfway over and my favorite is when my swings go THROUGH the survivors sometimes because THEIR ping is bad, but lets be hyperbolic and say its only killers who get rewarded for bad ping. This is why I don't even bother with the forums most of the time any more.
-
There should never be any prestige awards due to how many people just cheat and get a ton of bloodpoints or copy a modded file with all of the characters maxed out. All that would do is reward cheaters with bragging rights.

The whole game is "mentally draining" especially if you work long shifts such as myself and one of your free time is to play DBD once in a while and get ######### on by players who have never touched grass in years. Vecna's power is fundamentally flawed like i said. If the devs give the survivor player a sound queue every time he activates his power then the average killer player with him will zone with his power just like Pyramidhead, Demogorgon or a Knight player. Zoning isn't there on Vecna yet because the cooldown is 3 seconds, if they changed that number to something like 10 or 12 seconds, most players will start to zone instead of using their power since the cooldown for canceling your power is only 1.25 seconds
Then increase both to 2 to 2.5 seconds. Same thing works.

While I am not fully against a small recharge time increase of his power, you saying that Vecna is fun for no one is just a blatant lie. I have seen many people say that he is actually very fun to go against. People need to stop assuming that their opinions are shared by everyone.
Fair enough. I know a few people who don't like it, me including. Playing dodge 50 hits in 60 seconds sounds fun for some then sure. I'm glad they enjoy that but I do not. Like Ghoul and Krasue spam. Yeah, its not terrible but its still not fun if you have to go against it every match with 4 regression/gen-blocking perks.

He loses distance only if survivor holds W in straight line away from him. Sure, if I see survivor who doesn't even look behind them I will use the power.
But most survivors start to dodge when they hear the sound. At that point they are the one losing distance.
If he needs something nerfed, it's the movement speed while holding his power. Not really cooldown, you want killers to commit to their power. Zoning by holding power is most boring thing you can have.He slows down when his power is activated too. That's why .5-1 second more would be enough total. If not, he could just spam his power and gain distance then.
-
@PetTheDoggo said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4049753#Comment_4049753
I don't think you understand what he means by zoning.
What do you think will happen, when you increase his cooldown? Killers simply won't commit on using it, they will just hold their power until you get close to them.
I will much rather play mind games against him every 1,5 seconds than just being walked down like a dog. I was personally enjoying games against him a lot…
I knew what he meant. That's why I said 1% slower than a survivor while HOLDING his power? He LOSES distance then.
-
@Orvarihusklumpen said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4049741#Comment_4049741
So you want zoning instead? BHVR just needs to make more creative killers instead of making every kiler feel like a better or a worse version of another killer.
You can dodge his power? It requires sound ques. I do it all of the time. I just don't like being spammed 40 times in less than 55 seconds. Its obnoxious and unfun. His big power attack? Watch the center. As soon as it stops, go in whatever direction has less of the circle. You'll escape it every time unless you're hindered. I promise you. I've done it just about every time so far. Its the power spam.
Zoning works only if you cannot dodge the attack. His power gives you JUST enough time to do so if you really pay attention, but the continous spam will cause you to make a mistake and its just mentally draining constantly watching the ground for an attack that you know is coming. If you can get zoned by HIM, then I don't know. I haven't had that problem so far. I just don't like dodging 40 attacks in 50 seconds.

They will then nerf him and then the killer player will just just zone instead. The power fundamentally is flawed.
That's why I said 1% slower speed while the power is being held. That way he cannot just buttride you with his power like Pyramid head and others do with theirs. Its obnoxious and not skillful at all. Right now, if he catches you at a pallet, he can spam you until clock mode is active and you cannot make distance and even if you dodge 30 power hits, its only been 40 seconds, but it feels like an eternity. It's aggravating as hell. If you had an extra second, it would take a little pressure off of you when he decides to make you dance for a full 30 seconds.

1.5 seconds keep that in mind to avoid or leave the area.
It’s not about your fun alone it’s an horror game, That’s why you should really play both sides it really helps.
And it’s seems you’re targeting the strong killers only.
Play both sides, Learn & adapt there nothing wrong with those killers as a whole.
Jesus the tribalism on DBD is saddening.
The game shouldn’t leave the power with the survivor role alone, The killer meant to have a slight edge.
It’s 1 vs 4 remember that.
Just play both sides? I DO play both sides? No one likes powers that can be spammed until you're dead. That's why Ghoul and Krasue is so hated. Range, speed and you can spam their powers until you get got. Stop telling people that spammable powers is a good thing just because you only play killer.
I can show my stats at any time if you want to see how I play, but please don't insult me like the rest here. I know how to play well. I didn't say he was impossible. His power spam isn't a fun mechanic for anyone. That's my point. Increase it to 2 seconds and make him slower by 1% when his power is being held. That's it. Power fixed. BAM.
-
I'm just going to throw this out now. Having a killer spam a power every 1.5 seconds is not fun. There is no "mindgame" potential when he just keeps you at a pallet and spams his power over and over again until he gets his mega power then does actual damage. Its not fun to go against just like Ghoul and Krasue isn't.

No suspicious gameplay during the match; I didn't report cause I wasn't sure one way or another.
Does anyone recognize this potential Dev? (I wanna say GG if so, most of us were kind of goofing that round, and they let me open a holiday chest.)
Most likely a cheater. I say that because I highly doubt a dev would be on console and cheaters can give themselves whatever they want, including Legacy.

It was tested at 20 meters on the PTB for this patch, but it got heavily criticized for being "unfair" on indoor maps.
Thus it got reverted back to 16 meters, but with the other changes added, aside from the range.I looked it up and you're correct -_- 20 meters was fine. It helped against Range Killers. Now THAT is stupid. I don't do that ######### while I'm playing killer but I've been camped with hatchets and such by range killers as survivors before the patch and after the patch. That explains why it seems so easy to proximity camp with no issue. Also, I've seen a few dead zones now on other maps since the update that makes playing tiles pretty much impossible.

Yeah, it's 16 meters. Should be reverted to 20 meters for range killers.

This is just a regular loop now after the update. I’ve had this exact loop against springtrap, ghoul, deathslinger, legion and wesker. It isn’t a bug.
When the match started, there WAS a rock there. She dropped it, I downed her then my clone dropped when I went to pick her up. That's why my clone is a bit far from where the rock would be. I had to go around it. After that, I teleported once I hooked her and then when I came back, it was gone. I've seen other videos of rocks being there too on streams.
But there was a rock in the beginning. Me (killer) and 2 of the survivors were talking about it at the end of the match. There was a boulder and then it was gone. We assumed the server needed memory and just erased it. I had all 5 clones active at that time too.

The scratch mark recolor is in the Beta options in the settings (in the same place as the killer FOV slider), it's not with the rest of the graphics settings
THANK YOU!! The menu change has scrambled my brain a little lmao. You the best!
-
- Survivor BUFFS: Faster unhook speed with the ability to move immediately after the hook bar is filled up so a killer cannot just tap you with no protections twice (I'm talking about where you just stand there for almost 2 seconds, staring at each other and it also protects against range killers too.)
- Voice Comms for all survivors with proximity (Add permanent mute function for each survivor so if you get a survivor who annoys you and then you mute them, you'll never hear them again even if you get them again in a match then you can actually balance the game for SWFs so both sides are happy to a certain extent.)
- Killer BUFFS: Faster pick-up (make flashlights slightly faster to compensate).
- Faster hooking and movement afterwards (every second counts and the ability to move instead of staring at a survivor for a whole 1.5 seconds after would be amazing).
- Faster base gen kicking speed and pallet breaking speed by a little. It would help alleviate the need to constantly worry about the clock. I would say maybe .5 seconds shorter? Not a super buff but I would take .5 off of the perk that does the same thing so you don't have to constantly run perks to help. (Basically, .5 faster action speed for everything that they normally do but doesn't really affect survivors.)
- MAYBE base kit Lethal Pursuer but only 1.5 seconds just to see where everyone is so you can choose which gens should be protected and that would help with gen speeds at the start of the match.
-
Haven't been on the forums in almost 2 years, but I just came back to say yall did a FANTASTIC job on Myers. He feels FLUID again when using his power. I really enjoy playing him again now. He used to feel aggravating due to the awkward turning around pallets when using his strike but he just feels right now. I did see a bug though. I downed a Vee in a pallet then the pallet slammed me after like 2 seconds while I was standing there with no one around lmao.
Scared me pretty good lmao. Please fix yalls servers. Otherwise, really digging the changes for both sides so far. Forgot to ask, what happened to the scratch mark recolors? Did it not make it to live? I was really hoping to use that.
-
No but it should lose a token from special attacks also.

I wasn't sure whether to put this in bug reports or not, mainly because I'm not sure if I'm suddenly losing my mind or not. But survivor audio seems completely borked right now. It's like everyone has Iron Will. I'm not getting footstep audio a lot of the time since the last bugfix patch. I genuinely can't remember the last time I've lost survivors this much.
You'd have to go back to when I was a baby killer in 2019. I'm checking their perks in the endgame screen and nobody is running Iron Will, yet I'm getting zero audio on survivors beyond 6 meters a lot of the time. Players are running up to me on pick ups and I'm getting zero footstep audio. To be clear, I'm not a new player. I'm getting close to 5k hrs between my two accounts.
Same. I thought a few survivors were cheating since they had no groan sounds.

Eyrie of Crows Map - Forsaken Boneyard - There is a particular set of stairs that when playing as The Killer you are unable to walk up.
Survivors are able to run up a set of stairs in the main building but it seems there is an invisible object blocking The Killer from going up. It seems to knock the killer off the stairs if you don't go up at a very particular angle.
The staircase was the one to the right of the generator in the main building. Survivors are also aware of this bug and are using it to create an infinite loop with balanced landing. The bug occurs on the landing as you are going up the second set of stairs.
This is occurring each time I have played the Killer on this map.
Same. I've had it happen every time on Eyrie. They throw up the map then run up there to be annoying as possible. I even have a video where they kept jumping to the platform so I would get knocked off. It was incredibly frustrating.

It's amazing what happens when good matchmaking occurs and there isn't a blatantly obvious weak link that throws the game within 2 minutes.
I remember having teams like that before the patch lol. When everyone pulls their weight, its a pretty easy match. Seems like SWFs who are focusing on gens before friends. He also didn't show their perks.

Solo que is terrible. Ofc i have good games but nah most of the times its just miserable matches
Wesker is one of the only killers that are not anti-loop that is ALSO fun to play against. Dude is unique, but a blast to try and outplay. He can only get in straight lines, so there is counter play. His version of anti-loop would be not being able to spray, and you just stay 10% slow the entire match. Wouldn't THAT be fun? No, it wouldn't? It's like they don't even play their own game against people who are GOOD against their opponents to see how frustrating it really is.
I finally went against killers last night that were not anti-loop, we still lost but I had a blast. I was able to do stuff in the match. Yes, my solo q teammates were the death of me, but I STILL got to PLAY the game. If I wanted a run simulator, I would play Super Mario Run on Android. I'm only dealing with this due to the past rifts that I missed when I took a break for this EXACT REASON. Once that's over, just going to play killer. I also avoided the forums for almost 9 months for the exact same reason.

Feel free to disagree but it's true. SoloQ is mostly fine. The HUD changes allow for a bit of coordination and it all comes down to using that information correctly. If you can't do that, that's not a soloQ problem but a skill issue. You can get some very unfortunate matches with team mates that aren't anywhere near the skill level they should be but it's not like you only get paired with Dwights hiding in lockers and never touching gens.
I play soloQ too. It's nowhere near as bad as its reputation. You're not gonna win every match and sometimes you lose because a team mate makes a gigantic mistake. This is how the game works.
I have about 30 matches in the last 2 days of pure garbage solo Q fun on YouTube to counter-claim that. Maybe your matches are fun and breezy. Mine are pure sadistic torture. There are plenty of streamers saying the same thing that I'm saying too. Maybe its only high MMR being affected, but something has definitely changed. Solo Q is far from fine. It's MOSTLY on fire for High MMR players. My videos are night and day. Not just 1 match. EVERY MATCH. Videos before the update, and videos after, are completely different.
(Edit is adding stuff: My matches are also usually around 10-15 minutes in length)

Unfortunately solo queues state is just a symptom of how bad the player base is. This is the only game I have ever played that I have felt genuine distain for how terrible 90% of players are.
Also players seem to seperate things so extremely in dbd. Grouping Killers, survivors and solo queue as singular terms when it is never that simple. Killers range in such a far range of power it's laughable. SWF is typically talked about like it's a 4 man swf and solo queue is talked about like it's always solo. But I can pretty much say that over half of all games will at least have a 2 man in them.
People try and make things out to be so one dimentional when it's really not. If you are losing to legion and you consider yourself even decent, that's just a joke. Maybe it's your teamates fault but that will always be the case. You can't make it so solo queue can function when 2-3 players on the team are far worse than the killer.
When did anything I just say have to do with Legion? SWFs info is still greater than whatever the devs can give. Changes that affect heals/gen speed should affect TEAMS, not SOLO's. You never know what you're going to get in Solo's, but its mostly the worst of the worst. Even a 2-man can do more damage to a killer than a solo player can with 3 teammates who are scared of a heartbeat or want to walk around the map. When I'm with friends, we win almost 99% of our matches. I play solo, and I get the hardest tunnelers with the best potato stew that you ever saw in a match.
Had a match where I ran this Doctor for over 12 minutes total on Lery's. I died after 2 OTR's, plus 2 addition hits, on top of another hit from getting fully healed with a anti-hemorrhaging needle for 2 gens to pop. How did that feel? Felt FANTASTIC. I wanted MORE of those matches. I got more, and more of those type of matches. This was all after that update went live. It's like they reversed my MMR but my killer's that I get stayed the same. Like I have to keep potato's alive while I suffer. The videos before, then after this update are huge. I went from teammates running gens, to teammates scared of even touching a gen.
My gripe is with anti-loop killers. The killers who throw your skill out the window and make you run until you EVENTUALLY die. Not because they outplayed you, outsmarted you, or even did a nice mindgame. They just used their power and chased you until you died. Then you repeat that. No, you don't get to use pallets. Windows? PSH! No windows, either. You either run until they catch you, then hit you, or stay and get double-tapped. There is no skill involved. The Artist is the worst of it. Sit 2 birds and chase the person. They either run, get hit with a bird showing where they are at all times while trying to avoid the new birds that she places as she's RUNNING towards you still without slowing down, sends them, forcing you away from an area, or just melee's you.
You get to use no pallets or windows. You just RUN until you die, or stay, just to immediately die. There is no skill involved. There is no counter-play. You can't hit a guard with a pallet. You just run, and pray. That isn't a game. That's just a run simulator with an inevitable ending. This isn't a skill issue since you CANNOT outplay a GUARD. Oh, you can GRAB the flag that SPAWNS like 5 seconds after you're chased, with the Knight also chasing you. You know who that doesn't effect? SWFs who can tell a teammate to grab the flag for you. You know who that counter-play does NOT work with? Solo Q without comms. I shouldn't expect much. I mean, there were people who said OLD Spirit was BALANCED. A killer that you couldn't see, hear but could hear you, and see the grass that you moved.
This game use to require actual skill to face certain killers. It was exciting to outplay someone in the heat of a chase. Now, you see a killer that is anti-loop and you just push the run button. REALLY fun stuff. Range killers were a bit annoying. Anti-loop is the dumbest thing they have ever created. I have the hours, years, videos and knowledge of this game to voice my opinion, and let people know what exactly I do not like about this game now. I just won't buy any cosmetics. I haven't bought anything new since last year and I'll keep not buying anything. Just not worth the money.
(Adding this sentence in, is the edit. Forgot to answer your last bit. Yes, it's hard to balance around POTATO teammates, but nerfing things to balance SWFs, is only hurting Solo Q even more. Just make edits to TEAMS only. That's it. That would fix most of the complaints for the heals. It's not hard. Your teammates might not BE the BEST, but you won't suffer any more than a SWFs group with a slight handicap to whatever they're doing.)

I for one love getting skillfully outplayed by an AI guard in this PVP game. Why would I want to dodge a hatchet or a Nurse blink when I can have an AI mindlessly follow me in a straight line while the killer cuts me off with zero mindgames or tile knowledge required?
I feel like you think exactly like me XD I rather go against a super sweaty Nurse over a normal Knight XD

I get why so many killers are choosing him. His power is actually interactive and requires input on the killer's end.
Compare that to Knight and Skull Merchant. You press M2 and the thing just happens passively. Zero skill curve to it. It's horrendously boring.
I'm not sick of Wesker so much as I'm sick of these bland killer powers. More killers like Nurse/Spirit/Billy/Oni/Huntress/Plague/Wesker less (or no) killers like Skull Merchant/Knight
I agree. These late killers have just been use your power and get a free hit for a majority of the time. Knight puts power down, you trigger it, you get pincered then hit, with it sometimes being a double-tap and you're down instantly. Cannot pallet stun his minions or hurt them. Just run until the power runs out, giving him time to cut you off and hit you, or end up with a double hit. It's the most aggravating thing in this game. (Edit: Spelling Mistake)

I didn't think I could be any more frustrated with this game but here I am. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the best at this game but it still used to be fun for me. I am not an expert looper and I don't think I ever will be but the way the gameplay is now, you have to be. Healing is atrocious now. Killers strap on nurses calling, deadlock, and any other gen slowing perks and go to town. Also, sloppy butcher and killers now hit and run or hit and slug with minimal consequence. 4ks are regular for my skill level.
Mainly, its the fact that anti-loop killers make this playstyle even better. Knight, Artist, Skull Merchant, Twins and a few others who can just hit then come back later, or even get a double-tap for an instant down. Trying to do much of anything has become much more difficult. They should have just added a healing penalty if you're a SWFs/In a group with another person, that way Solo's would not be affected. Instead, it just makes SWFs stay the same while making Solo Q even worse.

What part? Lmao not saying i agree or disagree i just want to know
Saying Solo Q is anything but nearly impossible. Every change they do affects Solo Q 2x-3x more than it will EVER hurt SWFs. Most of the new killers are anti-loop where you just pray that their power runs out before they down you. You have no control over it. There is no looping or juking. You just run and pray. You have no USEFUL info while in Solo Q. Yeah, I'm on a gen. Is the person on the gen NEAR the hooked player?
Is the killer approaching that person? Did the person get off the gen because the person is being chased, or because they're going for the unhook? Is the killer camping the hook? All those changes only hurt Solo Q. Since this last update, my games have been nothing but MISERABLE to the highest degree as a survivor in Solo Q. There is rarely a game where even when I BARELY win, do I feel happy. I'm just glad the slog of aggravation is gone. Why do I do this? The rift forces me to finish survivor challenges. I'm a GREAT survivor.
I have a ######### ton of videos on it but since that change happened, this has been the literal worst state of DBD, I have personally played and I've been playing since 2017, where you could get stuck in hooks, rubber-banded into the basement, literally SUCKED into the ground so you just insta-died, couldn't leave the exit gates because it would force you back into the match, and MANY more game-breaking bugs. This is STILL the worst thing I have ever experienced. Once my survivor challenges are done, I'm switching solely to killer where the matches are easy. I play ALL killers equally. I do VIDEOS on them.
I don't cut anything out, I explain what I'm doing, I don't use 4 regression perks, I don't camp/tunnel my ass off during a match and I STILL have a blast. They managed to make Solo Q literal hell. My teammates are terrible most of the time now, too. It's like they reset my MMR, or something. The amount of Iri's, 4 regression perk, super sweaty tunneling that I've been facing is ridiculous, but the worse part is? My teammates seem like they're new to DBD and my killers are all jacked up on jungle juice, out for blood. Even when I WIN, I feel like I lost because of how much I have to SWEAT to even have a CHANCE at HATCH.
What they should have done was did the healing changes to SWFs ONLY. If the system knows you're in a team, you get a penalty to heals. If you're solo, its 16 seconds. Creating this many killers that prevent you from using your only form of protection as you run away, is also just terrible. Flashlight weaknesses were taken out. They gave NURSE an add-on for 30% EXTRA LUNGE. Are you kidding me? Then people complain about exhaustion perks? With how many anti-loop killers we have now, or range killers that just hit you over the pallets/windows? How EASY do you want this game to be? You know makes me laugh?
I LOVED Death Garden. I bought the FANCY edition because I REALLY wanted to support BHVR, and they managed to kill that game in less than 6 months. Might as WELL continue that trend with DBD by doing the same stupid stuff that they killed the other game with. Making the game IMPOSSIBLE for one side. I spoke up, and told the other team that the Hunter side was very hard, and it really felt brutal to play. What did they do? Keep shitting on the Hunter. After awhile, no one wanted to play as the Hunter. Game died even after making it free-to-play.
I will NEVER buy another BHVR game because they don't know what balance is. Making a game based off of stealth, looping, and pallets, just to take most of those away with each new killer is a great way to show how much they understand their own game. Enjoy my rant. Coming from a person who use to watch people play this game in Beta, got it as soon as it came to Console, then switched to PC a year later JUST to play THIS game, then to watch it morph into the most boring gameplay loop ever devised, is the most depressing thing that I've ever been a part of. Don't tell me Killer is hard. Its the easiest role unless you're SWFs.

Solo queue is not always the best experience and it definitely can get frustrating but it's nowhere near as bad as you seem to believe. I recommend you reflect on your own gameplay as well instead of blaming solo queue for everything that doesn't go according to plan. Sometimes you make a mistake and lose. That's how the game works. Even for SWFs (at least in theory).
This is some of the biggest bull that I have ever heard in my life lmao.

I'm curious now lol. I wonder if its another bug.

Yeah that's the really weird thing. I'm not noticing anything off about killer. Definitely know what you mean on survivor. Maybe matchmaking is pulling +/- 400 now instead of 250, but it depends on the killer MMR. Would explain how survivors with multiple thousands of hours are getting new-ish players. Because I'm getting some genuinely bad killers in my solo games, but my teammates somehow go down instantly to them so it evens out.
It's the most grating thing. All of my survivor videos now are me just ranting about my teammates as they do literally nothing all match. Literally on video. Every match. I don't mind losing but when I get chased for over 5 minutes, I think 3 gens should be done, but nothing having a single gen finished? Get out of here. No one wants to play this game any more if that is what you get every match.

That why lobby dodging is must in solo q. If u under a certain amount hours or prestige im out. don't wanna do it but i also refuse to go into a match with a team that not likely to win.
Problem with that is, most of my teammates are console players now. It's a toss-up.

It really does seem like it's broken at the higher end. I'm usually playing in a 4 stack and we 4 man escape 80% of the time and our combined hours are over 20k. I'd be surprised if my MMR is low/mid, but you never know. The second I go solo queue, I'm getting Urban Evasion gen-allergic teammates. Players who don't know to solve the Lament Configuration to prevent chain hunts, that type of thing.
Regardless, literally any transparency at all re: matchmaking would be nice. Anything that would let us give actual feedback instead of "this sucks".
I have over 6k hours total, over PS4 and Steam. I have almost every character/killer P10. I've been here since the launch on console in 2017. Switched in 2018 to Steam. It just doesn't seem fair. I've had a few survivors with less than 200 hours on my team so something is definitely up. I've recorded 10 videos, and only 2 are wins. If you can barely call them a win. You can see the trash that I'm talking about. Always Iri 1, to now, having teammates scared of a heartbeat. It's really frustrating. My killer MMR seems to have stayed the same, though.
