I agree, that’s why I said that the game should automatically save the game replay data with any customer service ticket, that way the customer service reps always have whatever video replays they need to properly review the complaint.
It was more leaned towards the other guy that I was talking to about the same thing. Full video recording would take up too much. I do youtube and a 10 minute video is usually 6 gigs for 1080p. Its why I usually have something recorded even if I don't feel like recording so I use Action Replay to capture the last 20 minutes of gameplay when I didn't feel like doing it. You'd be surprised what you capture when you do. I had to report speed hackers by doing that. If they had the ability to shrink it and not be a huge file, I would be on board but using telemetry to see if someone is hacking or exploiting, I just can't agree with. It'll be too easy to ######### someone over due to a bug.

These may be lost in the endless sea of comments, but what the hell. Two perks!
I have more stored away, but they're not quite as cool as these ones.
Uninvited Guests
At the beginning of the Trial, Survivors become cursed by Uninvited Guests. While Cursed, Survivor’s Repair, Heal, Search, Sabotage and Cleansing speeds are reduced by 12/16/20%.
Once a Survivor has been put into the Dying state or a Generator has been repaired, Uninvited Guests deactivates.
(This is meant to be an alternative to Corrupt Intervention, and a slight take on the concept/request of an Early Game Slowdown mechanic)
Silent Echoes
While a Survivor is hooked, all Survivors are Oblivious while they are more than 40/32/24 meters away from the hooked Survivor.
(I'm just proud of this one. Rewards objective play with a cool buff, gives stealth to killers who don't already have it, and encourages Survivors to approach the hook which can be dangerous for them)
@Mushy_Peas I actually really like them both O.o Well done!
-
I would keep it but give her a bit of speed to compensate for the ability to hear her every few seconds in her phase. Now its a true mindgame. Both players can hear each other but only one can hear the other ALL the TIME when injured ;0

I apologize in advance for forgetting to pause PainReliever's live stream. The one time I actually record and I had a stream playing in the background. Although his commentary kinda lines up with what's happening? It's weird.
What if I told you Blight's weapon was just a figment of your imagination?

Also, what if I told you you had the power to teleport using Adrenaline? Just gotta time it right!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMKgMCW8r4Q
I'm starting to record most of my matches so I can document quite a few things. From bugs, to how many matches result in post-chat toxicity, to how often someone DCs on the first hit.
That said, while my native recordings are pristine, I got lazy on the trimming and used Windows Photo/Movie or whatever, which crushed the resolution, FPS and bitrate. Any quick way to trim down videos without destroying their quality? These look like ass.
First one is a ######### lol but the second one is due to ping on her side. She was probably much farther ahead on her screen when she went down so the server fixed it for her when adrenaline kicked in. It's why sometimes after you down a survivor, they seem to port a few steps in a direction.
-
Checking the boxes and interrupting a survivor before they can get the trap off is much faster since you get an instant re-hook or you can crouch and wait until they die. That's why Pig has a high kill rate. She isn't hard to play when you play her like that and you get a 3k-4k almost every game if they try to gen rush you. It's a lose-lose. If they take too long, pop goes the weasel the gens or use ruin and pop together. You'll be surprised how many times you win.

Wait cod no longer has theatre mode?!?!? The last cod game I played was black ops. It had theatre mode, which meant the last x games (I don't remember the number) would be autorecorded for you and you could choose to save them to keep for yourself. Edit them too if you wanted.
That stopped being a thing after BO3. Black Ops 4 didn't have it. I use to love showing people clips from Theatre mode when people would hack and use invisible characters lol.

Who said anything about any "automated system banning you"? I said the game should save the game data for customer support tickets which is entirely possible, even with thousands of tickets. (How large do you think game replay files would be?) Any actual banning or customer service action would be handled by the customer service reps that review the ticket and the replay file. Nobody is advocating people getting banned just because there was a report.
Reports are used for bans. Bugs themselves are just reportable on the forums. Cheating needs video proof.

Ah, you seem to not really understand. The telemetry is based off the server data, not the client data. It doesn't show "basic" movement, it shows every single action and keypress, and the results of those actions and keypresses. Again, in a good game, you can drop that into the game and have it play back the entire match, exactly as the server saw it. Including latency for each player at each moment, if you want to get real granular. Would it take into account bugs? I dunno, maybe. Does a video recorded by a player? Absolutely not. It would be better in every way.
Not sure if that still be would a good replacement but I still think video should be required. That's just how I am, though. I like to see if something happened compared to someone telling me something happened. I've been playing this game a long time and I've seen a good amount of people saying someone was hacking and then the other person had video showing the other person just sticking out behind a tree and that's how they got caught. I'm not very trusting of other means of proof. I've seen enough people throw a fit over nothing when it reality, they just suck at the game and just come up with reasons why they lost. I rather just do what they've asked since the game was released, many different ways to record no matter what you're on and leave the rest to whatever team looks at footage. I've come up against only 3 cheaters in DBD and all 3 times, I've had video proof. I don't always agree with people but I do thank you for be respectful. Maybe yours is more accurate but depending on someone to make a decision upon data like the devs have been doing for the nerfs/buffs to killers and the perks, makes me worry about any other system for reports.
-
Corrupt Intervention is a slow-down perk to give the killer a chance to set up. The gens are picked depending on where the killer is, far away on 3 gens. It doesn't choose special gens just because. It would have to be part of the 3 gens farthest from the killer. Tremors at max is 16 seconds. To wiggle off, takes 15 seconds. By the time the person gets hooked, the gen is uncovered again but you can choose to stay on the gen to finish it manually then it won't be blocked. With Hooks, they stay gone for over a minute EACH. You can sabo them in 2 seconds. 4 survivors, 1 hook. Can't stop the sabo if they ran past you. That's why.

What I described wasn't an automated system. What are you talking about? It was telemetry data that BHVR customer support could scrub through in about 25 seconds to find out the truth.
I see the video. I get the basics of it. How is that supposed to tell you if someone was using a script to teleport? What if it was just the server being stupid? With the amount of bugs in the game, using that as sole justification for a ban is problematic. It shows you basic movement of what transpired, I'm guessing? It doesn't show you if something caused something to happen or if it was a bug. Doesn't account of latency for hits. Different connections. What if you got banned for teleporting but in actuality, you lagged forward really hard due to the server just having a mini freak out? What if you down someone but on their screen, you're 10 steps away so you get hit with a ban for cheating? Video can show actually what's going on, what was done at that moment and even give a bit more help to see if its a glitch, bug or hacks. That window bug where you go through it with a map active. How is that supposed to show you what happened correctly? What about the deathslinger and you can't wiggle? There's a reason why video is usually required for reports, even in Call Of Duty and that's a AAA game with microtransactions but they won't process anything without video evidence.

Doesn't a bunch of games record for you? There's csgo, League of Legends, call of duty games, etc.
I haven't played those but COD and even when you get cheaters, they request footage. I've had to report it on console when people were using jitter mods. They still require game footage of what you seen or they won't do anything but tell you to record next time.

Nobody is asking them to record "hundreds of thousands of games", just the ones that generate customer service tickets.
And nobody is asking them to "fix bugs they can't see", I'm saying that if they saved the game data generated by customer service tickets then it would be a win-win. They would always have the game data available for reference if needed when they review the associated ticket and there would be no chance of error on the player making the report either not having a recording app installed or running when they played the game.
Also this isn't just "something I want done", this is for the benefit of Behavior's own customer service policy. It's a policy THEY want to enforce, not just me. It's in their own stated interest to do it.
So it is "feasible" to do this, and would be a very useful asset for both them and the playerbase. Which is why it's irritating that it's not in the game.
The amount of people who report players for really stupid reasons is in the thousands. This system wouldn't work in DBD. There are a ton of things that impact gameplay. How could you tell that the server was bugged? Maybe the player was lagging due to the server? Maybe the player got stuck? The survivor was taking the game hostage on purpose? Maybe he just couldn't move? I don't want an automated system to ban me just because someone says they did something and didn't like it.

What the ######### are you talking about? Every game under the sun records the telemetry data of the match. They don't need a video recording because it records the actual match data, every action, every location, all of it. It's exponentially smaller than a video, and shows the entire match. It is automated, tiny, and not prone to the issues that come from the perspective of a single player.
I don't know where you learned about how games deal with reports, but DBD has the dumbest system I've ever seen. Apparently they're only tracking the most barebones ######### like what killer wins what match.
Real telemetry looks like this:
https://thumbs.gfycat.com/BitesizedHonoredCassowary-size_restricted.gif
Evolve did this almost a decade ago. And it wasn't for customer support, it was just the end of match replay summary showing what everyone did and where they went. This same data can be used as a replay system in the game engine, which on the customer support side means they get a full, map-wide, in-game replay of the entire match that, if the system they've built for the game is good, they can scrub through quickly and easily. All for a few kilobytes of data.
Same as I said to Dugman. Too many variables to really use that to such a large degree.

This irritates me a little. Behavior's ticket system should simply save the game data when a ticket is filed. Why should the players have to go out, figure out how to record games using third party software and manually record all their games just on the off-chance they find a cheater?
It should be Behavior's responsibility to record games that generate tickets, not the players'.
They can only do so much and why should THEY record your gameplay? No other game does that. Its easy to record your gameplay nowadays. If you want something done, then put a little effort into it. Why can't devs just fix bugs that we see? Because you have to SHOW them what is bugged or mention it so they can attempt to fix it. That wouldn't even be appeasable to record hundreds of thousands of games on the off-chance of a cheater.
-
Sounds like you should start recording your gameplay. Xbox and PS4 gives you free recording and PC gives you free recording with OBS or Action Replay using NVidia. There is no reason why you can't record. If you want help, record. Personally, 2 together seems more like chain blinding, not a script but eh, won't know without RECORDING.

You're welcome. Also, welcome back to the forums, great to have you back :D.
@MusicNerd_TC I took a break from it for about a month. Just constant negativity started to wear me down. I pop in and out now when there's a good thread without a ton of complains and sometimes reply. Mainly, I'm spending time with my son so haven't had much free time. Had 14 games today and 8 of them were Gunslingers. Once shot, I couldn't seem to do anything. Drove me nuts lol. And thanks! Good to see you also! I've read a few of the recent threads and since I have nothing really to add to what others' have said, I just chose to stay out of them for now.
I have noticed a surge of bugs but nothing too game-breaking except the one where my dude spawned already hooked lol. That one is staying in my library forever lol. Well, hopefully things so back to normal soon. I was hoping for the SH Collection to go down in price to maybe 1000 Cells for the Nurse outfit but it's still 1480 and I just can't bring myself to spend THAT much money. It's even worse that you have to put down $20.80 THEN spend the $15 on it. I just can't justify the cost even though it looks fantastic. Maybe one day!

Use to heavily play PS4 and went against a P3 Bubba who started to immediately face camp a random (when there was no swivel hooks). I stood next to the hook as he revved it and pointed at him then moved left and right a few times before pointing at the hooked Feng. Bubba looked at me then the hooked then at me again while still revved and backed up. I got the unhook and the random ran away as Bubba walked up to my face, chainsaw ready to do its job. I waited to die and instead, he backed up and ran into a tree into a tantrum then slowly turned and looked at me before walking away.
I leave and get on a gen, and we get all of them done and they start opening the gate. I walk inside the basement (this was Mothers' Dwelling) and loot the chest. I turn around to see Insidious Bubba staring at me with Insidious in the corner. I walk up and take screenshots with us together. I start to walk up and another survivor comes down and see's Bubba and starts to flashlight blind the guy so I step in the way to block the beam. The guy moves and tries again until Bubba revvs up and chases him then downs him. He takes him back into the basement and makes love to his face with the chainsaw, daring anyone to touch him. I nodded and walked out. After the game, I get a message from the Killer saying, "Thanks for being cool. I usually face camp but you had me laughing so I let the guy go just for him to come back later and try to be toxic". I told him it was all good and he'll only get better if he actually tries to kill.
Since then, I've seen him a few more times but he plays as Nurse on PC and still one of the best to this day. He can snipe a fly in a dark room lol. Still doesn't face camp to this day. Great guy, honestly. Next time you see someone getting face camped, try to be nice and make the killer laugh. You might save someones' life.

Myers will always scare me when he stares at me through windows and I turn to see him stalking lol. It's literally the best. Is he about to pop Tier 3? Who knows xD
-
Myers staring at you behind something and you notice him is the scariest ######### in this game. Had Myers behind me on a gen once while my friend was jumping through a window, screaming Myers. I turned into him and choked on air lol.
-
There are a ton more survivors than killers. It's even worse with crossplay due to those majority of survivors and few killers joining the normal amount of both on Steam. Now its a mass amount of survivors and a small amount of killers. Contribute and play killer.
-
There are more survivors than killers. That is why.
-
I don't think you ran into good survivors yet. Most will crush you if they are out to do so. The rest is just hot air. Tunnel, camp, can't win. Heard it so many times and I've been able to do something about those situations. Adept and get better. I don't bother explaining fixes anymore because it's just ignored for more complaints. Survivor is quite easy at Rank 1 with other good survivors and you ALWAYS have a chance to win no matter how the killer is playing.
-
I have SO MANY outfits on PS4 that I lost when I switched to PC years back. Really made me sad. I miss my cosmetics but I refuse to buy them twice. I can't wait for it to be allowed. I just want my cosmetics. I already bought the DLC for both.

Before the MMR went live I was constantly facing red rank swf despite only being a rank 13 killer. Now that the MMR has been deactivated I've been a little hesitant to hop back into a killer match, but I've heard good things about cross-play.
Is anyone getting matched with people far more experienced than them? Do you find that the rankings are fairly balanced?
Playing killer will not always be easy. Crossplay has helped a lot and with MMR currently disabled, you should get more accurate matches based on your level. You have to learn your tiles as killer and learn when to break off. In the end, 4 great survivors will always beat 1 great killer so don't take a loss too hard. You got this. Just practice, look on YouTube for tile guides and just keep doing your best. You'll get it.
-
I wish they would. It would make the game easier to balance but make mute buttons. It would also be a lot of fun to see someone run past me while being chased and tell the person to not die xD

That's how it use to work. Kill your obsession and get an immediate gen slowdown. No one liked being tunneled and mori'd out of the match so the perk itself was changed and it also conflicted with PWYF since it caused it to stop working. A fix was to leave the obsession alone altogether so all perks had synergy while keeping close to what they all did witbout needing to obliterate the obsession.

It takes 2 yearson average to get a full set of perks from a DLC charcater, that is unethical when people can buy that advantage from day 1
Then don't play the game, buy the dlc or wait for the shrine. You don't get handed something instantly. It's licensed. You don't have to pay but you will wait in return. Balanced and fair. Unlike most games, you can still get the perks even if you come after 8 years of its release.
-
This game has been out for 4 years. Yes, there is a big bloodpoint grind for a game that has been out for 4 YEARS. This game is far from P2W. Shrine Of Secrets is an easy way to get perks that you're missing. You don't want to pay then wait until the perks show up. Otherwise, play a different game.

There are so much sentences, which doesn't fit with the most popular opinions here.
So u say, Bunny Feng doesn't look great?
Does that mean, Greek Feng looks better than Bunny Feng?
And we just wanted Linked Outfits, even if the linked heads and weapons aren't necessary?
Okay...
I can say with certainty that Bunny Feng is very lackluster and I own it. We asked for Bunny Feng and we didn't care if it was linked to get it when the devs said it would be hard to separate the head and hood due to it looking weird without it being linked and it really does look weird. Top of the hat is also pointy instead of smooth.
I really like the new Feng hair and the rest is alright. I said why. Don't try to change my words. The new outfits is it's own thing. I gave a reason. At the end of the day, they found a solution to a problem that we initially promoted and now that they're using it, people are complaining.
@ProfoundEnding said:

I've never seen anyone actually ask for cosmetic sets. The only exception was Bunny Feng because of the hood, and even then I've seen people complain that they can't change the legs.
I've seen way more complaints about the implementation of these sets then I have seen praise for them. In fact I've seen little to no praise. Sure there's some people that don't mind them, but when there are at least 4 or 5 threads complaining about these sets every time one comes out, I think that's enough to show BHVR that they're not wanted here.
TLDR - People care more about customizing their characters then they do about having an out of the box outfit that they can't customize.
I said the reason. I didn't say how much people like them. This was the reason it was implemented. To fix issues that came from an outfit with different layers connected. That is all. Don't ask for something to fix a problem because everyone wanted something then complain later about the same time.
-
Nurse on PS4 was my first and Meg was my first survivor due to SB and Adrenaline. I knew speed was a needed thing. I didn't know Claudette had healing until I was P2 Meg xD
-
We got sets due to everyone willing to buy a cosmetic set for Bunny Feng. That is why they added sets. So outfits would like great and they could do special outfits that are different from the norm without it looking like a dumpster fire. I'm looking at you Bunny Feng. It wasn't connected so it's not that great looking. The new linked outfits look great, whether you like it, other's love it.
We wanted a linked outfit. We got linked outfits. Everyone is now complaining about linked outfits. Either choose something or don't bother opening your mouth. They gave us what we wanted. Be grateful.

Certainly possible! It may give some sort of explanation as to why for some it's a massive improvement and to others a massive failure. There are other factors that could influence these thoughts (both in and out of the game such as a bad day at work; a great date; your favourite team wonning or losing) alongside simply having a good or bad session gaming.
Sadly, would this mean that even if MMR was perfect, it would not be seen by a sizeable portion of the player base as so. The reason we know for fact now is thanks to some posts by mods, but were they to say the opposite would people believe them? It will never be welcomed by all, but hopefully whatever people are doing behind the scenes will ultimately improve the game for those experiencing those problems.
Well, hopefully they have targeted what is bugged and fixing it.

One of the posters on this forum - @AVoiceOfReason - has a discussion about this seemingly affecting Killers lesser used than regular Killers. They mentioned something about MMR perhaps working in reverse.
Despite this, for me it has honestly worked better. However, this might be due to the fact I play as the same 2-3 Killers.
As the mods/devs have mentioned that something isn't working the way they want it to, it's made even more bizaar that some experience this new system better, whilst others say it is worse. Both sides' experiences are valid, but why does this occur? Why does the MMR work better for some and worse for others. Because it's evidently clear that's happening.
I'm wondering if the amount of players is too much for the system to put people in a range fast enough and it's just taking a very long time to the point that it's getting the killer's mixed up due to sheer volume of players. It would explain why some killers are getting reversed. It could also be that the number of point ratings for the MMR aren't high enough to actually sort people fast enough and it's bumbling up the overall score of the player.
Seems it could be multiple things but what I personally believe is, it's of 2 options.
1. Just too many people, not enough MMR point value to actually place people quickly and we get repeats of the same new players due to that.
2. It's rating killers in reverse, by using a previous amount collected and instead of increasing it's MMR for that character, it probably took it away. Explains why new killers are getting harder players but good killers are getting new players.
Note: I could be wrong but these are just hypothetical to help the devs fix the MMR is indeed, there is an issue.

Hey, we are aware that there are certain things that are not working as intended, we are giving this our full attention and will hopefully have more information shortly. I'm sorry that it currently is ruining people matches right now, but it's being looked into. It's all I can tell you right now.
This was not meant as any hate. It's purpose was to try and help the devs by brainstorming what might be wrong if it's actually not working correctly. A lot are saying the same that everything is reversed and a few are saying they seem to be fine for the most part.
It might just need a higher point system for a bit to get players in a spot quickly then reduce it a bit after a week so good players will be removed from lower matches faster, reducing the overall stress on new players, in general. What are your thoughts on it, if you don't mind me asking? Also, hi. I don't believe I've seen you before. I've only seen 3 mods so far reply. Nice to meet you.
