Someone correct me if they know I'm wrong, but from playing him a lot I'm very certain this is actually already a thing?
There have been a bunch of times where I've tried to track the unhooked guy by looking for orbs, but there never is any.
Even times where I already know which path the unhooked guy went there will be 0 orbs.

Why not? I don't see an issue with that.
Is joke :^)

Nurse is the best.
Oni is the most fun (and my favourite).
Spirit is the one everyone hates to face, so is very one-sided fun :/
-
Am I allowed to post here if I'm not red
-
I respect all these opinions, but I quite literally feel the opposite. I feel like these last 2 killers have been some of the best they've ever made, I absolutely love their design and gameplay.
They feel like some of the most effort they've ever put into designs in total, from the animations, the sound design (unique TR + chase music ftw), and models, to just how fun they are to play for me.
Oni's addons are fine to me, but I agree Demo's are the most boring addons they've ever made in DBD.

I always do, I'm a good boy.
Though the person that saved me is even gooder.

I wanted to see your dog, now I'm sad

Ha! Jokes on you, I actually love Never Gonna Give You Up! However, for the people who don't, watch this vid to cheer up.
but then I watched this video, and now I'm happy :)
-
I have no idea.
I mean, I understand its purpose, but its range is 12m lol. So it's garbage.
I love the theme of the addon though, you quake the ground to reveal hidden survivors around you. That's neat af design, just needs an extended range. Especially since you can only do it in Fury mode which is limited time.
-
Collecting orbs is meant to be a choice, to strike the right balance between ignoring them to be faster in a chase, or go out of your way to collect them and power up.
-
After x amount of successful basic attacks, your next basic attack lunge range is increased by 20%.
Something like that could be neato.
-
I know this is always my answer, but...
pink perks. They byootiful.

The speed buff is what I notice the most actually!
Much easier to hit all 4 survivors with deep wound.
If DBD's taught me anything, never underestimate a +5% speed buff.
Compare a Hag chasing someone to a Wraith.

I wasn't referring to realism, i was referring to game play.
"but if it's too dark it creates frustrations for both sides."
I don't think this is true at all.
As survivor you have lots of outplay potential through jukes and hiding.
As certain killers like Ghostface it helps you sneak up on people easier.
Idk, I don't really see sitting still in a bush with camo clothes as outplaying anything.
I had a game as killer today on Sanctum where 2 people were called 'if new map DC', where sure enough they quickly gave up and DC'd. So I don't even know if survivors like it.

What often happens is the survivor with DS still active will run int to unhook, you try to be nice and not hit the newly unhooked guy and still get hit by DS, losing both of them.
Slug them all and let the Entity sort it out.
Yeeeeah, that's the kinda thing I'm talking about. You do the opposite of tunnelling and then the perk says 'AHA, take this tunneller! xD'
-
@Peanits said:
I see the point you're trying to make, but it really is countered by not tunneling. If someone tries running at you at the last second to make you grab them, slug them for a few more seconds and it'll run out. Running out the clock isn't a big deal unless you are actually chasing them off the hook and have to wait almost 60 seconds.
If you've been downing and hooking multiple people in quick succession, it feels kinda unrealistic to expect the killer to have a perfect 60 second clock in their head for when each of the survivors got unhooked.
Always feels cheap in those scenarios when you get caught by someone's DS in the last 10 seconds despite them not being the one that just got unhooked.

Do you have legacy III
The body/legs is the 3rd prestige reward, so ye.
-
Probably Haddonfield? Although this is DBD, most maps need reworks lol.
-
Nah. Still a solid perk on him to keep people injured longer though, so in that sense it eventually gives you more orbs.
-
@jokerdude23_ said:
As a killer main myself I personally think DS is fine and fair as is,most of the time I attack a rescuer and not the previously hooked survivor anyway
Except if you do that exact thing you will still get regularly hit with DS if you're downing fast enough.
-
Yeah it's intentionally clunky as it's a 1-shot, and you can't curve it around objects like a normal lunge because it has a different hitbox that will usually hit the wall instead. You just need to get used to getting them more in the open than you would for a normal hit.
If you're finding it hard to track them then try to be a little bit more patient with it. Also remember that if you hold forward whilst doing it you do a decent lunge forward with more distance than usual.

This <3

For the first time ever, I'm gonna say improve existing stuff. I think dedicated servers have kind of been a nightmare and ######### a lot of things up, I think it needs serious improving.
-
I agree with every single thing you just said.

I'm on Xbox and have been using Oni a ton. I'll admit, my first match wasn't great but after that first run, I've gotten pretty comfortable with him and his abilities. Now I'm finishing with 3 or 4 kills each game and loving this little demonic bastard.
Little?

I'm gonna nut

Yup. Was one of the most deserved nerfs in DBD history.

It's pretty nuts, but at the same time I do weirdly enjoy the challenge.

Thing is though, this wasn't really possible in the first place. I tested it in the PTB - the killer could get stunned and then break the pallet before the survivor had finished resetting it. I suppose the change was made to make this even less of a viable option, but it was fairly unnecessary all the same.
From a pallet save though? I'm talking about when someone saves a survivor by dropping a pallet on the killer, not a regular stun.

The Tomes stay, it's the Rift that changes without keeping previous ones.
They want you to always be able to complete these challenges and unlock lore, though you can't earn RFs on previous Tomes.
Oh really? I actually had no idea, thought all the challenges were limited time.
-
They're time limited, so how would that work in the future?
Edit: I suppose they could be generic like you said, but idk the Rift could also change in many ways.
-
Not really, no.

A single loop will drain his power. So basically hope to get a bunch of potatoes who stand there while I wail on them?
A single loop of what? A normal pallet loop? If so that's not true at all.

Give me a reason to change it. What makes him good?
Somewhat like Myers, he has huge snowball potential when in Blood Fury. If you keep track of people around you the amount of downs you can get can straight up win you the game, if not slow it down a great deal.
Infectious Fright is super helpful for this playstyle, and is the best perk in the game to help chain hits from person to person. You just need to practice the mechanics of how his dash and strike work to best utilise them around loops.

So a worst billy is all I am getting so far.
Sorry lol, you didn't give a lot to go on and it seems like you have your mind made up already.
Don't know if you're on console or PC but on PC he feels really good right now, so someone doing really badly with him I imagine just isn't used to playing him properly yet.
-
Become better with him?
Unless you're on console, in which case everyone says he is very hard to play on that.
-
It's a tough one, his perks are complete garbage and don't combo with his own power at all.
It took me a lot of games to get it, you really just need a good start downing multiple people to keep them off gens early, otherwise there's no way you'll get Iri Gatekeeper.

not at all, have you read the changes? terror radius doesnt affect the mend timer anymore.
this means if the survivor gives you some decent tea baggings behind a pallet he will go down. Thats the only thing that changed for the Legion. That is the issue the devs thought was the problem they had to adress.
I mean ... seriously?
If you just run in circles you evade the mend timer. #########?
If they're running in circles, they're not doing gens.
-
Ye apparently they broke the Wraith :'(
Apart from that I don't know of anything else.
-
I love not being able to see 2 feet in front of me at all times.
The map needs more bamboo in my opinion.
-
I think he was OP in the beta, right now I think he's actually pretty well balanced (so far, still early days).
Seems strong yet not too strong to me.
-
@TheRoyalOwl said:
No as only you see aruas when someone else is hooked.
Ohhh really? That makes a lot more sense if so.
-
It seems to me like they didn't want people to pallet save, then reset the pallet whilst the killer was stunned?
Can't think of another reason.
-
Shadowborn ftw. I wish I could use it on everyone without using a perk slot :(
