Ye same experience, this challenge doesn't work at all.
-
Hell no. This is one of the worst updates they've ever done.
-
You're not wrong.
If the entire team decides to be cool and not run DS, you all get punished lol. Very silly, seeing how meta it is.
-
They weren't new.
BHVR's trying to give the entire game a facelift, with visual map reworks, model reworks, and now UI and animation reworks.
-
1) Survivor sided at high level of play, but in average public matches it's pretty balanced.
2) 1 on both usually.
3) Been playing since release, with about 2800 hours.
4) ya
5) Killer main, but I do play a lot of survivor too.
-
It's... better.
Still yet to be good though.
-
Crotus Prenn was just unfinished honestly. Glad it's disabled too for now.

"faking a phase isn't a mindgame because survivors are given zero information on when you are phasing."
Because that would mean they are playing against Spirit incorrectly. Looking for information to react to as survivor is how you play against other killers.
Against Spirit you force her to react to you.
If someone is trying to react to Spirit they do not understand how to play against Spirit. You should be proactive, not reactive.
Ahhh so you should be proactive based on the 0 information she gives you, got it.
-
Make her make noise when phasing, regardless of where you are.
-
Like others are saying, you're taking the turns incredibly wide.
Stick close to the loop when running around it to be as efficient as possible.
-
How dare you, we have the privilege of getting the mobile DBD cosmetics from a year ago and this is how you act?!

Yeah I feel like people are neglecting all the good changes.
New clown is very solid and his chase music is great
New maps look and play well( the game needs a tone down on pallets though)
While the new hud is bad more info is always nice
New animation are a step up though could still be improved
Perk changes are small but appreciated
I'd argue new Asylum plays worse. Tiles without collision, and needless rubble with huge hitboxes put on every Asylum building entrance.
-
wat
-
Like - How they opened up the top area of The Game, adding some variety to the map and allowing it to not screw over certain killers that rely on ranged attacks/mobility.
Dislike - The HUD.
-
Nah it's not useless. It's just much more niche and specific than the Tonic.
-
It's actually one of the only things I genuinely like about the new HUD. I dig it.
-
They were geniuses all along!
-
Demo 1000%.

I personally just want hitboxes and the UI adjusted, everything else is fine by me
^ What he said.
-
I wonder if the new UI is related to some upcoming mechanic from a new killer, as the only reason they gave for changing it is 'it allows us to do things that the old UI did not'.
-
I know everyone's saying this, buuuut... he's just old Clown but better :p
How much better is debatable, but he is strictly better.
-
I'm kinda the other way around, to me the animations aren't that bad (still definitely some improvements to be made), but the UI is really bad.
-
Yeah I've played Ward several times. It looks cool, but there are such problems with hitboxes in that one. It feels like an unfinished mess.
At each entrance to the Asylum they added horrible little rocks that completely block your movement on the ground, like... why? Why is that a good change?
-
I wouldn't be against it.

I can agree with it wasn't all necessary, but the developers are trying to modernized the game and make it look more appealing. If they didn't break the game with the new HUD, what's the big deal?
I like the new HUD feature for the most part. Do I have my compliants? Yes, there are some things I dislike about it, but I like how they are trying to make the game look better and I can't be the only one who's in favor of the new HUD. 😊
I'm not against a new HUD either but it has to be better, or at least on par, with the last one. I think this one is objectively worse at relaying all the information it's trying to relay. The only parts I like are the hook counters, and showing more bp score events at once. The rest I think they completely downgraded. It's an eyesore.
But hey I'm glad at least someone doesn't hate it lol.
-
It's a 32m bubble around you, like your terror radius.
-
They're formulating their battle plan.

I wouldn't say "great" but it's good, yes, and it helps you get to a corner without getting seen, so it's harder for them to react to you.
the .25s is also nice, and I completely agree with you, but let's be a bit more patient, as Wraith/Trapper might have their passes one day, and that might get changed
Wraith already got his pass, quite some time ago :p
And I think he's the killer that's received the most amount of incremental changes overtime, snuck into tons of patches... just never increased cloaked speed which is such an important one.
But you're right - more patience is required. Maybe one day.
-
I think it's worse in almost every way.
Do not like playing with it.
-
I haven't even played him yet and I know that it's a great change. Not being able to see him at distances is huge, a lot of maps that used to hurt Wraith will work great now.
The .25s longer speedboost is nice, but honestly I would have preferred base yellow Windstorm. But the devs seem to be completely against this idea for some reason.
-
I found myself not even watching the gen count or trying to decipher the mess of survivor icons.
I've just been running around hitting and hooking people at random lmao.
-
I can only speak for myself, but no. I hate it as killer also.
-
What the hell even happened this patch?
Idk how hit registration can go out the window like this.
-
'2. UI looks great!'

Me and my friend laughed our ass's off at how bad they look. Injured female survivors look like they need to take a #########.
I'm just laughing at how they look half of the time in my killer games lmao.
-
I'd love to enjoy them but my eyes are bleeding.

muh perk

There's rarely enough time to change anything from PTB.

Didn´t they say something about the new UI enabling them to do new things? I wonder what those are.
That's a very good question.

If I am forced to - the Plague. Here are the reasons:
- She is one of the rarest Killers to see. Her loss would not be very noticeable.
- She is not weak, but not strong either.
- She is very annoying to play against. Her Green Vomit breaks Survivors and makes them loud and easily seen, also denying med-kit uses and rendering healing perk builds worthless. Her Red Puke is basically Huntress on ultra settings. So many stuff make versing her FEEL extremely oppressive.
Her invalidating every healing item, add-on, and perk ever is definitely awful - when so much of the game revolves around it.
I don't care about any other part of her kit, I think she's fine, but man that aspect is so lame.
-
Hag.
I think she's beyond repair in terms of fun.

I would like to see the references of the people who designed it, just to see if they did something similar already. I just want to get to know the people who created this HUD and were like "Damn, this looks good!".
The exhaustion timer is genuinely funny to me. It feels almost intentionally bad.
-
Claudette.
Maximum damage.
-
Honestly it feels like they made every single status harder to see.
I'm not even against getting a new UI, if done well it could be nice to have a change after 4+years. But this one is so much worse lol.
-
Bubbalicious
-
Why no Kindred?
-
She's literally the strongest killer in the game.
I can definitely understand wanting her to be more accessible to play though, but to do that I think they'd have to make drastic changes to her kit; which I doubt are coming.
-
It can vary so much, but on average mostly bad honestly. It nearly always sends me back to playing killer, because there I only have to rely on myself.
-
I do get why it's so high, but ya even so should be reduced to 60 seconds.
