Some QoL for the Oni

So after some heavy playtime with the Oni there's two things that i feel is lacking/unintuitive in his kit and i hope this can be improved upon within a reasonable timeframe.

These two things are only QoL and not "buffs" to make him stronger, its for the "fun" aspect of the character.

First of the deviousness is kinda off. Its great that demon strike gives extra brutality, but considering it is his power use it should 100% give some deviousness aswell. Oni is maybe the hardest killer to max out deviousness except for maybe Myers which also should be improved.

Secondly. And this is what makes the oni frustrating for me at least, is the unresponsive blood consuming coupled with the slowdown and poor range. This needs to be adressed because it is a draining experience to have to go out of your way just to pick up a single blood orb only for it to take 1 second before even responding and then also slowing you down. So i suggest that the slowdown is completely removed and/or make the response time or the range faster/longer. Even with two addon sloths for both movement speed while consuming blood and absobtion speed it STILL feels like i have to go overly out of my way if i want just one blood orb.

This is such a minor part of his kit that means next to nothing for the survivor role playing against him, but a HUGE deal for the person playing as him. It feels so bad and frustrating that i have stopped consuming orbs completely during chases that furthermore is reducing the deviousness gains of this killer.

  • Tbh I think just brutality makes sense though; but I am not about to argue against more bloodpoints.

As for the latter; you don't consume them in chases generally, that's why it slows you down. It's for a purpose. You have to make a choice.

  • Collecting orbs is meant to be a choice, to strike the right balance between ignoring them to be faster in a chase, or go out of your way to collect them and power up.

It still feels unintuitive because of the long "wind up time" It feels completely unnecesary imagine if you had a 1,5 second "wind up time" for every action as survivor it would feel sluggish and frustrating not being able to do the "snap" fast paced actions.

Those are two very different things and not comparable at all.

Oni can power up instantly if a survivor stays in one spot for too long, and it grows passively and you find them all over the place and can pull them from different floors, through objects, everything. There are so many chances; you can pull them in a chase but there are so few it's rarely worth it. What if your power is almost charged maybe it's worth that sacrifice maybe it's not.

It's also very quick to charge.

I can't see any actual valid argument in what you are asking sorry, it really is fine the way it is right now. Maybe down the road, if unexpectedly Oni turns out to be underperforming; sure maybe it's something to consider then, but for now, no as there is just no reason to.

I guess fun is only valid argument for survivors (Nurse, spirit, legion, pig...) Honestly this change is unnotied on the survivor side and healthy survivors dont drop orbs so in no way is this going to make him OP just more fluid, smooth and fun...
