I have 150 ebonies on my Nurse, and nearly as many megablinks. I did use some of those in the last few days, because I am sick of the long queuing times for killer right now.

I really don't understand why dbd struggles with the slightest upgrades. I really wish the devs had more control over it. The art team is great. They cant fkn do anything though because the engine I guess? I dont know but for a game so small with kinda poo graphics, it should run perfectly fine. I really wish the graphics were better. But i know rn they cant be.
Incompetent programmers, plain and simple.
-
Sabotage-teams earn a spot on my mori-list.
-
They finally removed that #########? Oh, thank the Entity! This made me go nuts everytime I play killer!
-
Or make it toggleable. So new players, who dont care about numbers, can read the description, while veteran players can enjoy the exact numbers.
On a side-note, alot of Nurse's add-ons have wrong descriptions because of that system. Like the White Nit Comb is used to counteract the downside of Pocketwatch, not the Metal Spoon, like the desciptions imply. (Even the offical Wiki says so)
-
Basically me in every multiplayer game, because I am a weirdo, who says the most ######### up #########.
-
Yes please! I love those themed events. BBQ, Halloween, Christmas, Lunar. I went through all of those when I was new to the game, I and I absolutely loved them. Those made me actually stick to the game, because they offered a nice variety once I got used to the game mechanics. I wish they would do more of those.
-
According to the perk-description of Beast of Prey, the entity watches through the killer's eyes.
Tsk tsk tsk, Mods should know their lore.
-
Trash-tier perk. Monitor & Abuse does a way better job at confusing people with the hearbeat in and outside of the chase. Plus the FOV gain outside a chase is a nice addition as well.
-
Matchmaking was certainly touched. If not, then why of the sudden does the killer need to wait before even creating the lobby now? Before, the killer could wait in the lobby for survivors to join, even if it took long to actually find some.
-

Seems like they keep making survivors louder, which makes betting stealthy much more difficult. You'd think that since Meg is an athlete, she'd be able to run ten feet without sounding like she's having an asthma attack...
I dont know what kind of Meg cosmetics you are using, but my Meg only has 2 feet.
-
How about we fire some of the cosmetics team, and hire more programmers? I would be totally behind that idea, if it means more bug fixes.
-
@Peanits said:
There was a change recently that changed the way that works. Before it would make a lobby right away, then you'd wait for survivors to fill it. Now, it'll look for survivors to fill it and then make the lobby once it's found a match. The overall queue time should not have changed. If you are getting a significantly longer queue time, please let me know and I'll have the team look into it.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/525198#Comment_525198
That's not quite the case. It wasn't based purely on the population in different regions, it was fairly random and could happen to anyone. I would previously get instant queues while people who lived a couple blocks away would end up waiting for half an hour. We wouldn't be able to fix long queue times in low population regions with a new matchmaking system. Both systems would gradually expand their filters and accept people from further away if it could not find a lobby.
Just here to let you know that your current matchmaking significantly increases lobby times.
-
Same ######### here. I played for hours yesterday, and I could count the total number of matches played on my hands.
They introduced a matchmaking, which the community overwhelmingly rejected months ago.
I wish I could play a survuvor match, while I am waiting for the lobby to start or something xD
-
@PotEtU said:
How about they fix the game first, MM for example including the waiting times to find a match, maybe its because of my timezone but it takes a minimum of fifteen minutes to find a match. If they have the game fixed, then they can make a new intro
Yeah, the new matchmaking sucks. I used to get 4 survivors within 2 minutes as killer. Now I am stuck at having to wait 10mins+ to even start the lobby, and THEN 2 more minutes for the lobby to fill. They finally fixed sounds to make playing killer bearable, but now they came with another bullshit to make it unfun again.
Why can the devs never make killer just a smooth experience?
-
Coming from a Nurse main, the best way to learn juking Nurses, is playing Nurse yourself. I used to be bad at juking Nurses, and always got caught. But now that I play her, I know how to loose her in a chase.
She is not OP ( some of her add-ons might be), its just that her counterplay is unconventionel and unique.

This is the current matchmaking system we are using.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/542648#Comment_542648
You need to take into account that the game even with matchmaking is still p2p and even if has a group of survivors they don't all load in as quickly as you'd think. The game is notorious for dropping you out of queue back to the main menu and it keeps trying to fill those drops as they happen. You're thirst to prove someone wrong is admirable.
Okay, but why is it that with the new matchmaking, it takes so so much longer to find 4 survivors? With the old matchmaking I got 4 survivors in 2 minutes. Now I need 6 minutes. 4 of which are me "searching for a match" and the other 2 are survivor joining my lobby. To me it looks like nothing has changed, apart from that the killer now needs to wait additional minutes to open the lobby. During those minutes the matchmaking does practically nothing.
-
@ReikoMori said:
That is how matchmaking is structured. The game has been altered from killers immediately creating a lobby to a setup where the game attempts to secure 4 survivors before the killer is allowed to setup the lobby. Depending on where you live, what time of day you play, and how many people are playing the times can vary. It is also trying its best to match with players of similar rank, but that isn't always possible.
Wrong. If that was the case, 4 survivors would spawn into the lobby as soon as it gets created. But thats not the case. In reality, the game lets the killer wait minutes until the lobby opens, and THEN it searches for survivors. I have no idea why, but thats how it works now.

In general Lery's is a lot of guesswork. At some spots you need to follow them by walking, at some you need to blink to catch up. When I get Lery's on Nurse, I generally instantly look for a 3-generator strategy. Normally the Nurse is an extremely aggressive killer, but on Lery's she needs to play defensive. Ideally on the corner of the map. The corners offer less line of sight breakers, and the layout of the corridors is more consistent (easier to memorise).
The corners also offer the benefit that you can lock them down there. The problem with Lery's is that survivors can run into any direction, even get behind you without you noticing. On the corner they only have 2 ways to run, which means much less guesswork on your side.
I dont find Lery's that bad. Yamakoa with its foliage and rocks with oversized hitboxes is worse. On par with Rotten Fields.
Range or blink movement speed add-ons greatly help on Lery's as they minimise the juking potential.
-
Red rank teams is why I became a Nurse main. Sure it can be boring to play the same killer that often, but the game kind of forces me to.
-
Yes, the best way to measure the actual time played in the game in matches is your devotion-level.

I miss my blendette. I can't loop for #########, so I took up stealth as my way of avoiding the killer, to the point I became a ninja. RIP stealth clothes, I only had you for 4 days, but you will be missed.
Seriously, @Peanits , is there any chance I could get an iridescent shard or auric cell refund on those? I had them for 4 days for this exact purpose, only to get that taken off me, so if I'm forced to not use stealth, at least let me replace them with something flashy and that didn't look like I went diving in a sewer.
Developers wont give any refunds on anything, only because they changed things later. They even say that in their terms of service, that everything can be subject to change.

They also could have just disabled one of the add-ons when the bug was well-known instead of letting people continue to exploit it.
BHVR likes to shove a lot of its responsibilities off to its player base rather than owning up to the fact that their game is a spaghetti-coded mess. They're too much about maintaining schedules that they couldn't even bother stopping people from doing an actual exploit and disabling the ability to do it and rather put up a red warning saying "if you do this you'll get banned!" despite a fix already having been created internally. Rather than fixing game breaking bugs right away, they took days to fix the mending bug, they took days to fix the sloppy butcher Wraith bug. They took days to fix the tinkerer 2 bug -- all of which could have been fixed and the problems prevented by just disabling the conditions that required the bug to activate or bandaided on with a quick hotfix the very next day.
Instead of being mad at the players for taking advantage of such an easily executed bug and demanding they take responsibility for it, be mad at the company which basically allows the problem to happen and doesn't fix said problem in a timely manner despite there being 3 easy fixes they could do in five minutes right now to fix the problem.
That possibility was there. I remember when the bug was around, and the devs dropped an in-game announcement informing people to not use the combination. They also stated why they didnt just disable the perk. The reason was, and I quote: "[...] this would require a game update."
They didnt disable it, because their spaghetti code didnt allow it.
-
Make it toggleable, please. Newer players might struggle with aiming, but veteran players get screwed more by it, than it helps.
-
Issue that negatively affects killers, and buffs survivors, so wont be fixed anytime soon. Low priority.
-
Personally, I dont need bots. I just want a mode, where I am allowed to freely roam on a map of my choice. Both as survivor and killer. I know that Kill your Friends exist, but I dont have that many friends that play Dbd :/ Or maybe allow us to start a KYF match with only 1 player?
-
If I suspect a SWF in the lobby, I just equip my megablink Nurse. Slap on a Game map offering, or a mori if available. Survivors want an easy game? Too bad, I want one as well.
-
Sounds have been a complete mess for months now. Things being sometimes too loud/quiet, sounds being deceptive (coming from wrong directions), sounds outright not being played at all, and the new sounds occlusion system being able to block pretty much any sounds. And they keep messing with them every chapter. The effort of the developers to fix them has been quite low in the past. Dont expect that to change anytime soon.

Let me get my game offering. ๐
Ebony Mori > Game offering.
I still have 90 ebony moris, and an equal amount of Megablinks stacked on my Nurse ๐
... But I cant use them, thanks to 15+mins killer queuing times now :c
-
One of the developers said on the forum, its to tell new players that they got stunned. Because the shacking camera, and the groaning killers isnt enough of a telltale already clearly.
Seriously, the best way to solve this problem, would be by expanding the tutorial.
-
Nurse blink grabs too dont work most of the times. Animation starts, plays out for a legit second, and then instantly switches to a swing.
-
I just recently managed to introduce one of my friends to the game. They love it, and instantly became a killermain, because killers are more powerful at low ranks. They are sitting at rank 17 right now.
However now the devs introduced their ######### matchmaking a few days ago, and now my rank 17 friend needs to wait 10-20mins on PC for the lobby to even open ... in central Europe during afternoon.
My friend switched to survivor, because the lobbby simulator is unbearable now.
How do the developers sell this matchmaking to newcomers?

No, you are not. There are dozens of us! DOZENS!

As far as I hate Balanced Landing on surviors who abuse infinite loops (like on Haddonfield) when playing killer, giving BL to killers is not the right solution. Removing BL-infinites in the first place is the right solution.
-
No, I never dodge. Developers nerfed killer queueing times to discourage dodging, and it seems to work out. If I identify a 3-4 man SWF team though, I equip my megablink Nurse. You want an easy game? 2 can play that game.
-
Personally I dont support a crosshair on any game really. Takes away quite some skill. If someone wants a crosshair, they can always make one themselves.
-
As a Nurse + Doctor main, yes, that sounds about right.
-
Flashlight got a massive buff, when the developers nerfed sounds. No reason to complain.
-
Ardetha on Youtube offers to review games of people who send him YT-links. He plays Nurse exceptionally well, so he is a good source for feedback.
-
Works wonders against the stronger killers. Notifies you when a Nurse is blinking your way, a Spirit about to gen grab your ass, or a Billy is racing towards you.
Also helps with weaker killer, like if a Freddy follows you during dream transition, or stealth killers like Wraith, Pig, Myers are coming your way.
Used with the right game knowledge, it can also help you in chases.
It has become invaluable for me.
-
Toolboxes everywhere. MoM, Adrenaline, BT, DS, DH, SC, litterally everywhere.
Guess I will be playing Ruin Megablink Nurse only this event. You chose it, survivors.
-
As a a Nurse-main, I have it the easiest on juking Nurses.
Spirits are the hardest to juke for me. Apparently they never suffer from the sound nerfs, like me when I play Spirit.
-
I think she is fine as she is regarding grabs. Just standing up and grabbing works in most cases. Only very few survivors are alert enough to hear the blade, especially if the generator they are working on is loud enough.
-
Same ######### on the killer's side. Toolboxes as far as you can see. My gatekeeper emblem has never been that low.
-
Also, the point of view should be raised to the actual eyelevel on killers. Pig for example cant look over tall grass when crouching, even though her model clearly stands out of it.
-
I need this in higher resolution.
-
Sure, why not. But only under the condition, that the killer can use it too, if they happen to find it first. A successful hit is an instantdown that counters all survivor perks, including but not limited to Mom, BT, Dead Hard.
-
I am pretty sure, its a way to keep people in the game. The grind is addicting to many people. And putting a cap on the BPs you have, prevents people from just playing and playing and playing without spending anything. You are in a perpedular circle of playing, and spending.
-
"I'm red rank killer and I 4k almost every match,"
If I got a cent for every player who claimed that on the forum, I would be a millionaire by now.

@Redd I'd feel ######### about purposefully tunneling people during event, so they end up with something like 2000 BP. But pretending I'm gonna do that (eg. fake facecamping for half a minute) sounds like fun. Nice idea, appreciate it :)
Ghost Face... uhh, no thanks.
Survivors purposely ruin the killer's experience all year around. So why not return the favour? They will appreciate it. I know it.
