He was poorly designed because they didnt have much to work with.

Since you love short answers, he was not poorly designed because they did not have much to work with. He was poorly designed because he was poorly designed. Him being a weaker version of huntress has nothing to do with lore, and his weak power has everything to do with their inept sense of balancing.

There isnt much history to use with bts killers, and modern history like 2000 to now is not big, this is why it was made too early and the killer came out undone.

The balance and design of a killer has absolutely nothing to do with their lore. Killers from recent times can still have unique abilities. The Trickster was just a poorly designed killer, with a difficult to balance power. A killer's balance is independent of their history. You don't need to have a good backstory to have a good balance.

  • My guy, I don't think you have any idea what you're talking about. You're confusing everyone here and it seems like you're on a completely different topic than the rest of the discussion. Your post mentions the timeline of the killers. Are you talking about the lore timeline, physical timeline? Because your comments don't match your post. How does balancing have anything to do with the lore or in-game timeline? And if you're talking about the physical timeline for balancing purposes, why mention the lore at all?

And this is why it’s ridiculous everyone complains about Spirit and Freddy but not Nurse. Nurse has less counterplay than Spirit or deathslinger.

Also killers like spirit, slinger, pyramid and yes even freddy often have to sweat for their wins. Nurse is harder to learn than all of those that much is true but when you reach a certain point with Nurse its actually easier games and victories than with any of those other killers.

The Nurse is more fun to play against though, in my opinion at least. The reason for this is that when I go down to a Spirit or have to slug through an incredibly long generator time on Freddy, it's just boring and not fun at all. It's more fun to play against a Nurse though because she actually makes the chase entertaining, even if I lose 99% of the time. Spirit and Freddy just aren't fun to go against. Also, getting an average Nurse is also fun because she will never catch you.

  • How often do you face a high-level Nurse though? Of course, you're going to get destroyed every once in a while. Sometimes there's nothing you can do. However, good Nurses are quite rare, so it shouldn't happen often. If you encounter good nurses often, then yes, that's just unfortunate matchmaking.

That's a good one. For killer I would have to go with the devour hope, cypress mori combo. So many survivors play a certain way when that last offering doesn't flip over lol

Oh, I do that too! Sometimes I use a Shroud of Separation. Survivors play so much more carefully. They take less risks. They don't taunt as much. It makes it so much easier to play as killer when survivors are actually afraid of you (Decisive Strike doesn't save you from "mories").

  • Here's one. When I play Killer, if I see a Jane, 90% of the time I will check a nearby locker next to a gen or when she escaped the chase. I'll check it by faking it out then actually going for the search. Works almost every time.

  • @jackkn12

Just deal with it. It happens, ignore it. Clearly, whatever they said worked because you're making a way bigger deal out of it than you should have. Just report them and move on. Also, Naming and Shaming.

  • @Ihatelife

That's probably why you're not a moderator? 😅 I can't even imagine having that power but not using it, takes a lot of willpower.

  • Anybody here ever played Identity V? If so, I do like the communication system used there. It's not emotes, but different bubbles of text that play in the corner of the screen. Different messages that say "The Killer Is Near Me!" Or like "Focus On The Objective!" It's useful and on a cooldown so you can't spam it. I know it's not emotes, but it's still good for Solo play.

  • @Hoodedfengm1n

If he said it he'd probably get banned on his own forum.

  • @chosun129

Console and PC both have aim assist. And it sucks, I play in both and it's even worse for console because lunging always locks on to something that isn't the survivor. If they removed aim assist for both PC and Console it would make it so much easier to play killer.

  • @Star99er

Easy way to avoid this is to not open your game at all while updating. That's when it happens to me. I normally wait until it's completely finished then it's okay to open.

  • @Ceiling_Entity @MrsPiggyIsSoSneaky

So this is a known bug. If you check the 3.1.2 patch notes the devs do state they know it exists and are working to fix it. It is a bug that does not allow you to interact with yourself. You cannot self heal, wiggle, attempt escape or anything like that. You also cannot escape out the exit gates. You will be stuck in the game. However you can interact with other items such as hooked survivors and generators. Unfortunately for you, this happened against a Doctor which pretty much did not allow you to do anything. They know about it, but don't know what is causing it.

Just because you cant braindead loopy loop her doesnt mean that theres no counter play. You want to delay that first hit for as long as possible, as soon as you get hit it gets really difficult, especially without Iron Will. Dont hug the loops, because Spirits look for that collision. It's all about mindgames, i wish all killers were like this instead of "i see you, you see me, now lets run in circles so i can drop palleh palleh and loopy loop you"

Why do you have to get so defensive? It's fine if she has no counterplay. What you listed is not counterplay. It's a delay to a good Spirit catching you. Which is inevitable, and that's fine, but it's not counterplay. Yes, mindgaming does help, but if it's a good Spirit it is literally a 50/50 chance that she will or will not catch you. And going against her without Iron Will is not difficult, it's impossible. Nothing you can do to stop her from catching you. I main Spirit myself, and I run Iron Will just so I can have a chance to juke her. Whenever I play Spirit, if a survivor doesn't have Iron Will, I catch them every time. It's sad that as soon as you see a post you disagree with, you become extremely toxic for no reason. And you call survivor mains toxic.

  • There is no counterplay. If it's a good Spirit, you lose. Best case is to run Iron Will and when you suspect she's phasing, move randomly to spread out your scratch marks. It's a guessing game at best then. Just hope she doesn't run into you or sense you.

  • You can also only see the killer's stain through walls on low settings. This makes it the most viable option in a competitive setting.

  • @DaS_only

The amount of FOV increase in the old Shadowborn was 25 I believe which allowed killers to see through lockers and walls when the swung. The new amount, 15, provides a noticeable increase without the exploitable vision.

  • @DaS_only

Considering the fact that this Huntress has that mask, means she has been playing for a long time. Her account is quite old. Due to long periods of inactivity, it is possible to go back down to rank 20. This was not a case of rank hacking, which I've never even seen before, but merely somebody who hasn't played in a long time coming back. You got unlucky, sucks, but it happens. Just play the next game, tell your friend to get better and you can't win every single match. Some people are just better.

  • @DaS_only

So, other add-ons such as the Wire Spool add charges. This increses the overall amount of charges per toolbox. The Instructions add-ons increase the efficiency of those charges. One charge on a toolbox is one charge on a gen. However, with Instructions, one charge on a gen is only 0.75 charges on a toolbox. I believe so. So, in certain cases on toolboxes with a lot of charges, Instructions is better.

  • @ZacKdbd

It's not the end of the pickup animation. The way flashlight and pallet stuns work is it doesn't stun the killer into a survivor until they actually begin carrying the survivor. Which is why if you do it too early it doesn't work because technically the killer is still in the pick up animation. That's why you time the stun or the flashlight to activate the moment the killer can actually move before they can move away. This was changed to allow stuns during the pickup animation but that was broken as #########.

  • @Jago

Where you the obsession? Remember Me does not affect the obsession.

  • @Tzeentchling9

Did you even watch it? Enduring was nerfed. And if you put it on you can feel the changes, it sucks now.

  • Uh, just play with a mouse?

  • ©Andreyu44

Nope, not a bug. DS user is normally not the obsession.

  • The general rule is.

The hatch spawns closed when there is one more gen needed to be completed than the amount of survivors still in the trial.

The hatch spawns open when there is only one remaining survivor in the trial.

    4 survs - 5 gens needed

    3 survs - 4 gens needed

    2 survs - 3 gens needed

    1 surv - 0 gens needed

Any other hatch spawns are most likely a bug. Report in the bug section.

  • I believe you only get them if you don't have their respective killer. I have all the DLCs and I don't get Splinters any more. I believe the only way to stop getting them is to just buy the DLC or killer.

  • @LordGlint

The Chilli and Tompson add one do the exact same thing, with minor differences because of how the chainsaw works. The only difference is the name.

  • Billy and Nurse don't need Ultra Rares and would be broken if they had them. Leatherface has same add ons as Billy so no Ultra Rares. Doctor, I don't know. You come up with something.

  • @yobuddd

This is an incredibly old strategy. It's been used ever since hooks no longer stayed permanently destroyed. A piece of advice? Some strategy is to 99% all hooks in one corner of the map, then run to that corner whenever you're in a chase. Have a teammate wait for you and you'll never get hooked. Whether or not the killer wastes time chasing or slugging your other teammates can get gens. If the killer starts chasing them, they know where to run to. Works best in an SWF.

  • @Ember_Hunter

Opening the gates is not a strategy. It's more of a give-up button. The reason why it was implemented is so survivors couldn't stall the game which allowed the killer to force them out. It is pretty much a concede button that forces the survivors to leave.

  • Has it ever been broken?

  • @Fantagreen

It's going up to 3 because it's the third year anniversary. It's a little joke.

  • You forgot to activate auto save. It's the spinning red thing at the top. Easiest way to activate it is to open the menu, the game saves at the last auto save point.

  • You mean, probably nobody is playing the PTB. You forget that people still play the main game.

  • @BoredByDaylight

Do you even read what you're typing out? You think that you're entitled to something when you really aren't. You're playing at high ranks. You're going to face good survivors. That's literally what high ranks are for! You say you don't play to pip, but how do you get to such a high rank then? I don't want to sound mean, but you're ruining the game for other players just because you're not enjoying the game. SWF or not. There is no excuse to being a jerk, if you're playing at high ranks, expect SWF. Or, you could actually just not play until rank reset and stay at green ranks, instead of reaching red and disconnecting from every other game. Playing against good survivors is part of the game, it's part of the challenge. Simply because you don't want to put in effort to get better does not give you an excuse to DC.

  • @LordziPL

You can't. The devs have stated they would rather have descriptive values rather than statistical values. Sorry, you'll either have the code or test the math yourself. Or find somebody who already has.

  • @Speshul_Kitten

You just learned now the game developers have really shady business practices? Wow. Better late than never at least. Now you know. It's always been obvious.

  • @Hexyl

You do realise why the values of Brutal Strength were changed correct? It still breaks the pallet at the exact same speed it did before. The natural pallet break speed was increased so Brutal Strength was decreased to fit with the new break times. Brutal Strength was never nerfed. It still breaks pallets at the same speed now as it did before. Which means, Brutal Strength has always been weak. In fact, it's better now as there are less pallets on the maps. Brutal Strength was weaker before than it is now. But I do agree it needs a buff to be comparable to Enduring and Spirit Fury.

  • @George_Soros

Consoles do not pregame chat or after game chat. Console players must directly message one another in order to chat before or after the game.

  • @Maj33y

Have you ever actually tested the numbers when working on a generator with more than one person? It's still faster than working on it alone. Yes, there is a red bar but work on it with 2 or 3 people and tell me it takes longer than 80 seconds. If gen progression really did slow down, survivors would be in a literal outrage.

  • @CustomerService

No, as of this moment, the End Game Collapse doesn't need a rework. Listen, when the last survivor is alive, the hatch opens regardless of how many generators are completed. If the killer finds the hatch first, then it's the survivors fault for no finding it earlier. This is how it should be, no hatch stand offs because whoever finds the hatch first wins. If the killer found the hatch first, the killer WON. Being able to open the exit gates shouldn't even be possible, but it is so survivors who failed to escape by the hatch get ANOTHER chance. It's pretty stupid when you think about it. What you're asking for is literally saying, my whole team got destroyed, can I get a free escape? The answer is, you had your chance, if you failed, well that just sucks doesn't it?

  • @Hoodedfengm1n

You people need to stop asking for refunds. You don't get a refund just because you don't like something. It's an online game, things will always be changing. When you buy a character, you know that that character is going to be changed for balance or bug fix purposes. You do not deserve a refund because you don't like the changes. As for console? Well, all I can say is git gud. I play Legion console, and sure it's hard with the Frame rate and lag, but it's doable. I've played against good, high rank Legions on console. Turn down your sensitivity if it helps. It just learn to time your strikes better, if you mess up, it's nobodies fault but your own.

  • Yes, they do increase vault speed. However it's no longer stated in the descriptions.

  • I play on console just fine. It's not worse than PC, it's just, different.

  • @tt_ivi_99 Lag makes hitboxes much bigger helping the killer a lot.

  • The devs themselves don't really care, it's the automatic ban system. If it detects that you have interfered with the game's code in a bad way, it will ban you. And the devs cannot undo that ban as it's out of their control. Feel free to take that risk but it's up to you.

  • So, a no life making a post with a picture that has no correlation with the actual post making it have no sense but to flex on people. Then the OP cries for balance despite playing this game longer than just about anybody else. There we go, easy summary.

  • That's the risk you take when purchasing any multiplayer game or add on. Things are bound to change. Things are always being balanced and fixed. You can't expect to be compensated for every change to a game that progressively adds on more content. Otherwise, players would be receiving compensation for every patch in the game, but that's not true with other games. You don't see players getting compensated when a DLC drops in any game that changes it. This won't be different with Legion. You bought The legion knowing it would get changed, as do all other DLCs in Dead By Daylight. You do not need or deserve compensation for a change you didn't like. I mean, I bet survivors didn't like when their perks like Decisive Strike got changed, but, you don't see them asking for compensation. What happens happens, multiplayer games are always changing, especially these where things must be changed for balance.

  • Well, I think everybody else already covered your problems, I'll just put in my two cents. You came at the right time! With the End Game Collapse update the hatch will spawn when you're the last player no matter how many generators are done! So, you came at the right time. Though, enjoy it while you can. In my opinion, this game is getting worse and worse with every update.
