Unfair? This actually good for killers. The devs are creating 1 good perk at average per character and the other are useless. Less grind is good, especially when the grind is for perks hardly anyone will use.
-
That's why I keep deliverance on lvl1, the reaction at endgame chat when the killer realised that he wasted more time than needed to counter my DS lol
-
Do you just called shack an infinite loop? Lmao

What the freak are you saying? My dbd stays always at 60 FPS, constant.
Good for you that you have the money for the newest hardware (tho even that doesn't matter to some people, they still drop fps with powerful hardware), but the world isn't spinning only around you. Majority has issues with this game performance.
-
I get killers sometimes who get extremely pissed when I head on stun them more than one time. They really facecamp and tunnel the living ######### out of me
-
It's only really strong in swf groups. But keep in mind, they make it easy to find and tunnel them down. Furthermore endgame will be in he hand of the killer, it's ridiculously difficult to escape alone at the end with OoO

@TAG said:
Would be nice if there was a way for a downed Survivor to speed up the bleed or something to make these scenarios less painful.
Yeah this right here. After beeing slugged for x Second you should be able to suicide on the spot.
-
First, the struggling isn't depended on your speed. You just need to hit the minimum speed and everyone has the same struggle.
Second, the design of struggle is not that you get off his shoulder in a normal scenario. It's there to prevent a killer to hook you across the map to the basement everytime he wants to.
Furthermore: sabotage, flip flop and decent team mates body blocking are still existent.
-
I was once afk the whole match, and the killer was a nice one and ignored me. I pipped because I got stealth points.
And for bp, do totems. 1k for each dull, 1.5k for hex totems.
Or.. Just don't play stealthy and help your team mates not to be the only one getting hooked all time
-
You are the first person I know in the dbd community with that statement. Noone likes it (besides you apparently) and it should get removed.
-
@My_Farewell said:
Moris should go in their base kit after 2 hooks+1 down
Absolutely not. That would negate many flashlight saves or DS by default.
Maybe adding this: "can't mori while DS active"
So at least the killer has to slug for 60 seconds and do nothing or he leaves him to catch him later
-
Yeah, it's so silly that discordance level 1 is better than level 3. But it's also really sad that the devs don't know that. Just shows that they don't understand their own game on higher level
-
A lot of people are hardly hitting 60+ fps, this game is so bad optimised... It's never gonna happen.
-
@Raptorrotas said:
What is there to not understand?
Giving this strong piece of information to survivors will need to be compensated on the killer side. Especially considering it might end up buffing solo and both cwf, as those with communication wouldnt need to ask their mates what theyre doing anymore and could focus their attention on other information exchange.
With the current pace of our dear devs, they'd implement this and killers would have to deal with it for up to a few months before they decide to give killers anything in return. IF they get anything in return at all.
Because the most optimal swf group won't gain anything from that. Only solos will benefit from that. Swf who don't communicate informations are basically solo players. Simple.
-
@Seanzu said:
Absolutely nothing, because 2/3 years to do anything in this game is a heck of a lot of time and not exactly worthy of anything imo.
The time doesn't. All what matters is that veteran players suffered heavy grinding, grinding which new players dont have. Unless you really want to make the point that in case the 1st grind cut-off was 1 year later, noone would have deserved legacy.
-
@Raptorrotas said:
Awesome scribble.
While this obviously would less the gap between survivors and cwf, I even admit it might be necessary to do so, it would also change the survivor-killer-balance.
It might come across as hostile against survivors, but there would need to be compensation (GLOBAL killer buffs or survivor nerfs) in the SAME patch.
Having to play months with "solo boosted to swf"-powerlevel survivor will definitely not be good for this game's health.
The idea is good, and might be needed, but it has to be carefully implemented.
Killermain btw.
This doesn't make sense at all

Explain why perks should not cancel out offerings
Cuz perks can be used every time, offerings are getting consumed. Imagine you could use a perk to disable a killer addon. Or make you not mori-able. Would be stupid design.

Ok. If I'm not biased for disagreeing, AND I'm giving you legitimate reasons for White Ward staying as it is..
Why am I biased?
I haven't say that you are biased, I said that to the one who said that items are free and got confused that you quoted me

Will you STOP with the 'bias' thing?
Every time someone disagrees with you, you say 'bias!' like it's a magical 'I win!' comment.
YOU want an item that works fine changed to favor YOUR style of play (Survivors) so YOU can keep items you'd normally lose, even if YOU put it down/a Killer uses Franklin's on YOU.
That's basically being pretty biased, dude. 'Favor what I play' with a pretty loudly not-said 'Because I play it'.
Why do I say that's unsaid? Because there's no valid reason, balance-wise, to want to change White Ward. The only reason you want to change it is because you want to keep your items.
IE: You want it changed to favor YOU. Which is BIASED.
No, I only say "bias" when I see bias. Has nothing to do with disagreeing. Now move on with your bias somewhere else, thanks.
-
A veteran player (for me someone who played since release) who is using noed? Shame on you :s

When people get so bored and create topics about every irrelevant thing. Who cares what a random said? Honestly, just move on.

A new game mode would split not only the community, but also an already lacking dev team. The upcoming archive should expand the lore and a new objective will come sooner or later.
Community is big enough + if they devs would finally implement cross play it wouldnt even be a topic.
And I agree with op. It would be much more fun to have a new game mode than just a new killer you loop the same way like all the other killers for 3 years.

Your are speaking of the second version.
The original NOED had a unlimited timer, increased movement and increased attackcooldown.
The second one had the same effect but for two minutes.
And the third one, our version, is the hex: version with increased movement speed and unlimited time until his hex is cleansed.
Yeah, I was talking about the second version. The 1St was overkill

That has not been brought up, until you just did. I'm pretty sure we wouldn't do that. Old NOED was really horrible. :)
I personally was more fine with the old noed than the new one because the old one you could counter it by yourself, the new one is depended on yourself + your team mates.

@Accorn said:
Wanting to keep an item not in your possession is like wanting the ward to work even when the item runs out of charges. It's, for all intents and purposes, gone. No longer present. Survivors don't need free items any more than killers need free ultra rares
Free items? It's an item you earned + wasted an offering to protect. Your bias is heavy

Nonsense. Even as a solo i can manage to do all totems and still get gens done. It's harder sure, but there has never been a time where i have felt I have "No Control" over NOED.
Okay so accounting for all totems might be difficult, but even then, 9 times out of ten, the killer is hunting down exposed survivors rather than protecting a newly lit totem which usually be located.
Does it make the endgame harder? Sure. But it's only out of your hands if you allow it to be.
I bring maps with killer item addons, mostly because totems are utilised in about 60% of my matches, small game too sometimes, which can be handy for other killers with traps such as trapper, freddy and hag.
I'd agree if it had no counter, but it has several different ways in which it can be countered.
Seems like you are a built in 4 men swf player, you hero lol
-
@Orion said:
No, it's just helping killers kill survivors who fail to complete their secondary objective.
As solo survivor you have pretty much no control about that "secondary objective". Unless you want to be that useless team mate who runs around the map for 3 minutes to check all 5 totems beeing destroyed... While his team gets slaughtered in the background and at the end you notice the killer didn't even had noed... *suprise pikachu*

I suggest against this. You never know if there is some form of exploit that would bring these into the main game. Maybe a slider or some form to affect an action like healing time to make it instant. However, pre-programmed cheats are sometimes not good.
We shouldn't be afraid about every single thing. If the devs code carefully there will be no exploit.
-
Yeah, with "cheats" like infinite hits so you don't have to heal up every time which allows quicker testing of stuff
-

This is the best idea, but apparently devs say that is currently not something they can do.
Well, they did it with moonlight bouquets and event offerings. I don't see how it would not be possible to disable perks and addons the same way

Then announce which ones are obviously bugged and warn people in-game not to use them or face the consequences. Ezpz.
This, or even more simple: take them out till fixed

I wish it was always done like the way you purpose, but the devs seem to not care about 3-4 SWF using the wake up or sprint burst exploit, solos using infinite deadhards, or killers like legion with the infinite mending (the second time). They just fix the exploits but don't punish who used them.
A better way imo. These aren't exploits like back then on asylum when survivors where on spots you couldn't down them. These are just perks/addons who everyone can equip without having the plan to abuse an exploit
-
@Groxiverde said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/633434#Comment_633434
Yeah because using infinite dead hards or sprint bursts while exhausted can be done by accident LMAO.
Guess how the first guy experienced this exploit. Exactly, by accident. Same with any person after that who wasn't aware of that.
-
Alright thanks
-
@Groxiverde said:
Every online game I know punish people who do this. Can this game do the same? Just ban every person who abuse an exploit, simple as that. I'm not asking for a perma ban, just a ban for a few hours to warn and scare them.
Exploit can happen by accident. Wanna ban people who used an exploit by accident? Lol, imagine. Devs job is to fix exploits, not ban people (at least in the first place).

Survivors bodyblocking me in a corner and sandbagging, basically teaming with the killer

People don't want a direct nerf. They want a change to her. Her power is just not fitting DbD and the chases aren't fun for majority of survivors.

You can't compare killer add-ons to survivor items. They are different things. Killer add-ons are meant to be expendable every game, and you keep them no matter what when you use a Black Ward.
Survivors, on the other hand, can keep their items from a game if they escape and didn't use the entire item. Unlike killer powers, they have a finite use during the game. You can't use a toolbox all the time, where you will have a silent bell as Wraith all game if you use coxcomb. And because of Frankie's, a White Ward can be negated. AN OFFERING SHOULD NOT BE NEGATED BY A PERK.
You are comparing apples to oranges.
Stop trying to throw mud when you have no argument. There is no reason a WW shouldn't let you keep the item even if it gets knocked out of your hand. You brought it to protect the item no matter what, the only way you should lose it is if you use the item completely, which is something survivors can control. It shouldn't matter to you if the survivor keeps the item or not, all that should matter to you when you use Frankie's is that the survivor cannot use the item during the game unless it's in their hand.
Yeah this. It seems like the bias is hard in some people and they don't want to allow any benefit for survivors.
-
@Locker_Monster said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/633027#Comment_633027
Let me put it another way.
If you are not holding an item at the moment of death, White Ward does not protect it. It does not matter WHY you dropped the item.
There's no reason to change it otherwise. I'm not being biased; you're literally asking for the devs to change the game to let you keep your item just because you want it.
If you used it up, or you dropped it, or the Killer made you drop it, or you don't have it in your hand when you escape/die; White Ward does not let you keep it.
Again, read carefully. Seems like you have a hard time understand what I want. Or you just don't want to understand.
-
Genrushing is basically beeing the most optimal survivors on gens. You don't care about ruin, cuz you hit nearly very skillcheck. You don't care beeing injured and you don't heal but keep repairing gens because you are confident enough to loop. Same to your mates, you don't heal them and you do not instantly unhook them. You stay on gens. And totems won't get touched.
Genrushing is having the most tunnel vision on gens but still beeing optimal in overall gameplay.
And no, the killer can't always control and pressure survivors. It's a made up lie by some players who are either biased survivor mains trying to troll or just people who never versed some super optimal genrush squads .
-
@Locker_Monster said:
This screams of 'Change it just because we want it'
White Ward protects your item from death only, only if you were carrying an item.
Not if the item was on the ground. Only if it's in your hand.
And no, Franklin's should not be nerfed so you don't drop your item.
And yes; it would be a nerf. Survivors have to spend time getting that item back. Hacks & Trappers can trap it. It could be a toolkit with BNP or a medkit with an inta-heal. Changing Franklin's to not drop it would just be an unneeded nerf.
My idea doesn't nerf Franklins since its still dropping the item. Read carefully or leave your bias at home.

Re-read the last sentence in the post.
Intent is the core concept you're deliberately ignoring and making yourself look very trollish and not to be taken seriously.
At thus point I'm not very sure what you mean by bullying, define it to me or give me an example of how survivors bully the killer.
