@ClogWench Well, the EGC is meant to push survivors out faster. So, it's doing its job. Devs are sending real mixed messages here, they don't want the game to end too quickly or everybody depips. They also want survivors out faster. But I get the point, nobody likes a troll who hides out in the endgame. So, it's worth it.

If everything was balanced around SWF, then yes, it would be balanced. However, due to the simple existence of Solo and SWF in the same matchmaking is the impossibility. It will never be balanced. The developers are attempting to balance the game around both SWF and Solo which makes it impossible for either side to be balanced.
The only reason why there are two sides, Killer and Survivor is due to this. If the game was balanced around Solo, SWF and survivors in general would be far too powerful. If the game was balanced around SWF killers would be way too strong and Solo would get screwed.
So, because the developers are trying to balance the game around both at once, there will always be an imbalance which allows for the rise of biased changes. Hence the fact that some updates are killer sided, or survivor sided.
-
Of course! That's what DS is for, if you get downed within a minute of the unhook. Doesn't matter how.
-
@SurgDexil The Entity has always been all powerful. It just never interfered because it never felt like it. That's the lore. The Entity can kill the survivors at any second but chooses not to as it wouldn't give it as much energy as playing with its food. This is the Entity's realm. It can do whatever it wants. It's just deciding to act more now.
-
A Merciless Victory is a double pip game. Looking at that, you most likely didn't double pip. This is why you didn't get the achievement.
-
For number 2, only attacks that would down you in the injured state are shielded. So a chainsaw from Leatherface or Billy while healthy would still down you.
-
What does the brown add then?
-
What's wrong with it being red? Can you not see the skill check? I mean, it gives you a notification before it. You can see the progress bar move down when you land a good skill check, this tells you if it's there. There is also a status effect that tells you. Also, there's a special sound for Hex: Ruin. What's wrong with it?
-
It's not planned anytime soon. Not until they balance the ranking system. Which is probably never.
-
Well, for consoles it allowed for a stable 30fps which is what was intended. For PC, I don't know. Play on Ultra graphics or something?
-
Oh Master. Not you too.
-
Nope, graphics were reduce in quality at the cost of performance. I don't care if it looks back, I need the game to run smooth. I'm quite sure the majority of the players would prefer a higher frame rate game that runs nicely rather than a clunky lagfest that it used to be

@IronKnight55 said:
Xbox looks awful too! It is way harder to play killer since the graphics change. I'm hoping they fix it (probably not though).
They probably won't. The majority of players care about performance and not just looks. The fps is very nice.

I'd just like to say congratulations to the dev team for having a game that has a wide range of races, roughly even balance across the sexes, willingness to introduce larger body sizes (Jane and Jeff), a gay character (Dwight) and now even a disabled character (Ash).
When did they ever say Dwight was gay? We don't know anything about anybody's preferences except for the Wraith and Nurse.

Didn't they reduce the minimum distance down to 8 meters for pallets?
Man I was playing the other day, first time since 2.6.0, and the amount of safe pallets is actually ridiculous. I got a screen shot of 4 pallets lined up in a row, and the shack loop was included in that.
@Brady They increased it to 16 in patch 2.6.0, the Plague release. They also increased the minimum number of pallets that can spawn so yes, there is a higher possibility of double pallet loops.

The camping solution was already tested and abused by survivors. The original test was not having the bar drain at all when the killer was in a certain radius. However, survivors would have one or two people stay near the hook and one person do gens. The killer would be forced to camp otherwise the survivor would be unhooked and the killer was stuck there while the other survivors did gens. Camping does not need to get resolved. The Emblem system already highly punishes camping and Borrowed Time can counter camping. Also, the killer has many perks that reward not camping (Make Your Choice, BBQ And Chilli, Hex: Devour Hope). These are just a few. And sometimes, a killer needs to camp simply because it's endgame and if the killer doesn't camp, the survivors can bodyblock after saving allowing everyone to escape.
-
Dude, Freddy has no collision with survivors that aren't asleep. You can walk through them. As for other killers, smacking the survivors may let one go, but you will have way more map pressure as the others are injured. Just chase one of them.
Just, it's not hard to counter, and if you don't like it, bring any perk to help you. If this is a joke, stop being a troll because you don't sound very smart right now.
-
The only problem is that the devs want to avoid it stacking with say Sprint Burst or Lithe giving you a massive advantage that will take the killer ages to recover from.
-
Honestly wondering where the Jane in a Nutshell came from. I swear I've seen that before. I don't remember where.

now 720 p :( i miss full hd / 30 fps
There never was 1080p 30fps. It wasn't locked. Now it's 720p 30fps locked. At least you'll never have performance issues. It's what everybody was crying about anyways.

It certainly would be. My spirits brightened for a moment.

@Chaotic_Riddle Since in the live build Legion's add-ons don't stack I had no intention of making them stack now. That being said, I do believe that everyone else's add-ons stack so perhaps that's something to look into.
The Legion's add-ons do stack. They simply don't state that anymore in the description. Yes, it's been tested.

Yeah but then there’s nothing a survivor can do about a Mori either if they’ve been downed again after a hook.
Kinda even steven i’d say.
They really aren't. Survivors can get a key and win all because of luck. Killers need to actually bring in a mori and despite it being secret, survivors can still see the secret offering. Thus, they can plan to play more careful and not get caught. Also, of you aren't camping, you have to get them AGAIN to mori them. No killer can really plan for a lucky key find.

Possibly sometime by the end of this month, if you wanna wait you can get a very fun killer with cool perks and an awesome design. All we know though is it'll be out "Soon"
"Soon" ™️ Don't forget it!

Too bad I have an Xbox One instead of a PS4! 😭
You can still press record you know. You can lengthen the time of recording. While it is not as long as PS4, just try to clip it immediately after the offense.
-
Just ignore it. You shouldn't be bothered by it. If you are. Just kill them. The best way for me to relive frustration is knowing I made survivors lose an item.
-
Black pip is the safety pip. It's commonly dubbed black pip due to the black color of the safety pip.
-
You can report it. Just take a picture, report them in game and then file a ticket with your evidence. They will be permabanned before they even know it. And yes, it's quite common. People say a lot of mean things when they're angry, especially in this game.

@ad19970 said:
Wait is this actually an intended change? Like it's not in the patch notes. I wanted to come back to this game maybe after some time but if jungle jyms honestly have two pallets again I'll rather just forget about that. What kind of joke is that?
Oh it's in the patch notes buddy. "Decreased the minimum distance between pallets to 8 meters." Honestly, if there was any time you should have been playing it should have been between the Spirit's released up until the Plague. The game really hasn't been more balanced.

@George_Soros said:
Yeah it's a bad call. Although a lot of killers complained how it's too easy to rank up, but now it's the other way around.
I don't understand: a proper system for killer pip/depip is the simplest thing in the world.
0 kills: -2 pips
4 kills: +2 pips, and so on.
No, that would not encourage first hook (face)camping, since it's not a very effective strategy against decent survivors.
That was the old ranking system for killers you know. It failed miserably.
-
Entitled survivor main here boys. Wants a penalty for B-M'ing as killer but not as survivor.
-
I don't think anybody realises that this change no longer makes NOED a Hex. I was hoping some people would understand that but no, you see NOED change, you think nerf.
-
@jus_Ignant said:
Just because DS gets changed to a balanced level doesn't mean NOED needs to be changed.
Why do people need to keep wanting to change a Perk that can be disabled mid-match?As someone who plays mostly survivor it's embarrassing that NOED is such a big deal.
You do realise this is more of a buff than anything else, correct?
-
@Acromio said:
Hahaha. No.
Why that answer? Do you believe this will make NOED too strong?
-
I understand that, but this isn't exactly a nerf either. I believe with the token system, we don't need a totem for NOED. I believe that the token system is good because it is versatile. It can add unpredictability to the perk because players might not know what level it is therefore making surprise attacks far more powerful. A token system instead of a totem system can also ensure full usage of the perk. I also believe that we can tweak the numbers and even make it so that the amount of tokens you gain be based on how well you do if that's better. I just like the sound of this, I feel like it would be better than what we have now.EntityDispleased said:They won't change a perk because of how the community "feels" about it. The devs went through with DS because they themselves realized how unbalanced it is, and they even had plans to rework it long ago but it took them quite a bit of time for some reason. Noed had no plans of any change afaik.
Noed and DS aren't connected in anyway whatsoever. Noed has a very clear and direct counter and DS had no counter or any form of downside to justify the reward it grants you. Just leave the perk as it is. -
As I said before, the numbers could be tweaked. We could even add in a system where NOED cuts through the Endurance status effect at the cost of two tokens or something like that. As I said, this isn't final. I just want to bring up a strong point of discussion.Master said:First I thought, yeah that seems fair, 5 hits.
Then I remembered what kind of stuff we got in the game, DS, BT and all that bullshit negating your hits, so I will say no.

I find Iron Maiden to work very well in basement builds. There always seems to be at least one person that doesn't leave when a survivor is saved. This makes it far less time consuming to check lockers and then when somebody leaves after you leave you can just go back and down them. Put them back in the basement and rinse and repeat.
-
Yes. There is native Keyboard and Mouse support for console. There has been for a while now. Both support it. However it's up to the devs to release functional controls for Keyboard and Mouse for DBD. As it is the developers job to use that support and create functioning controls.
-
This is most likely a troll post. RedSophine has been known to complain about powerful killers. They at probably just trying to get the devs to nerf Michael. I doubt there is any "game breaking" bug. If there was, they would at least tell us what it was and just not how to do it. They should just post this in bug reports. Even if there was a bug, If welcome it. Killers like Michael need everything they can get.
-
Yeah no. Stop complaining. Not everything is going to be easy. Just grind for it, you'll get it eventually.
-
If you're not playing at rank one as both killer and survivor, your opinion is quite invalid. Rank one shows true skill, and if you play there you will realise it is much more difficult to be successful as a Killer, than as a survivor. It is very frustrating. Maybe watch something that actually shows what a killer has to deal with. You can say what you want, it's your opinion, but the only ones that matter are the actual people playing killer, and we are frustrated. If it's so easy, then why don't you become a killer main and add another player to our small roster why don't ya?
