How often do you actually see the guards knock someone down? I see it perhaps once or twice per match. The rest of the time survivors just outrun the guards.
Yesterday I think every match I had honestly. I mean not every single survivor of course but every match about two.

You can absolutely bring 2 CoH as a SWF. Covers the whole map instead of half the map. Of course, SWF is SWF, so they can afford to bring dumb perks as well and still win.
Just what I was thinking. Two COH for that exact reason

And that's why solo and SWFs icons (post game!) are a good idea.
Welp, maybe in 2024.
This is a good idea!

Apparently when survivors know how to play asgainst him he's pretty weak. If the Knight starts summoning a guard the survivor can just hold W to another tile, and the guards in general are slow and easily outran.
I see. I did have some matches yesterday where some did just that. Im sure over time it will become extremely challenging.

I can't.
But since most often one survivor doesn't ready up, i get bored and check their profiles. Sometimes they are hidden sometimes not and the most ironically funny thing (IN MY EYES) is when 2 or 3 have their profile hidden but the last guy has all the others on their friendliest making the hidden profiles completely useless, at least in terms of being an obvious swf in DBD.
And if they either are all hidden or all console then i can't estimate in the first place.
And most importantly, I DONT CARE IN THE FIRST PLACE. I just played my non kill playstyle and the only goal is as many BP as possible without blatant and boring farming. Swf doesn't really make a difference there if they aren't a bully squad. And if they are, then they can have fun with a killer standing still and maybe looking at the chest in basement while I do something productive on my second screen or aside of the computer for the duration of the match.
This is good. Im gonna start doing this lol

I don't know what it is but I usually don't do too bad there as Billy. I love when they take me there expecting to get a win over me.

Not just you. Midwich hook spawns are awful. Here is a recent video from Otz where he loses a kill due to bad hook spawns.
😡Wow😡 its extremely annoying. And I had one that brought boil over on top of it

@Haven414 said:
I'm sick of picking up survivors and seeing the boil over icon when there are barely any nearby hooks. Sometimes, other survivors will be trying to save the carried survivor, too so I just end up dropping them like 60% of the time because I rarely can make it in time. And when there is a nearby hook, there's always obstacles in the way. I'll see a shortcut through them but then boil over usually forces me around it. Please get rid of the boil over buff, it's the worst.
I had a match as the Onryo where I had to down the same survivor like 5 times before I could put her on death hook because she had boil over and every hook was always too far away.
I know it does suck, I had a Rebecca the other day who kept going to the same spot because I kept trying to bring her to hook and I was so determined. They go to a high place you have to drop from to get that boost and some have been pairing it with Flip flop. I bring Iron Grasp every match now because its very annoying

It's a good perk don't get me wrong but against good survivors they'll know you have it after you go to them a couple times with no other indication they were there, and this will force survivors to split up on gens so discordance is always better with a mobility killer for that just for the situation that they find out and start trying to counter it , if you're a m1 killer with zero mobility this perk can actually hurt you more than help I guess is what I'm getting at
This is really good information!! Any perk you would recommend in its place? Say for killers with lower mobility? Also I do like it because Gens get done so damn fast because of that

Pyramid head is so hard to control though. For me at least. Im on Console so I dont know if that makes a difference

Genuinely confused : are survivors supposed to wait for a last hit before accepting hatch ? I have never done that before, if I'm given hatch I'm usually either dropped down on it (and wiggle on the ground for thanks and then take it), or if I wiggle out I usually crouch once in thanks and then take it fast. I just don't want to waste a nice killer's time any more than I have to ? Same as if a killer decides to let both me and another survivor go, I'm not going to look for totems or beg for pallet stuns, I'll open the gate and go as quickly as possible as to not importune the killer (unless they, of course, offer stuns, chests, or totems).
I have never expected a last hit from survivors I give hatch or gate to but it does make sense... Survivors I let go at the gate often wait a little bit and do the "follow me" emote, but I must be a bit dense because I always assumed it meant "let's get out together" and just headbutt the exit to pretend to leave as well... ... I really am the 5th survivor, aren't I ? xD
So when I play as Killer and get 3/4 kills I like to let the last survivor go Ill either open the exit gate or show them where the hatch is. If its the exit gates the survivor will call me so I can basically get one last hit but to be asses they do that and just as Im walking to give them a hit they take off and leave just to be an ass after I just let them survive. Same with hatch.

In certain ways it's good to have but in other it's not...
It's a good perk to alert you when 2 or more Survivors get on a Gen together
But once the Survivors know you have it they tend to split up or activate it on 2 Gens
How do survivors know you have it? You keep heading for that gen?
-
Oh wow. I had no idea about Nemesis. Thank you.
-
@Akumakaji said:
Discordant is a pretty good perk that kinda counters the gen rushing and proof thyself meta. Most of the time a match will start with the perk going off within less then 10s and you could have your first chase by the 20s-25s mark.
Some insanely well coordinated SWFs could conceivable split up and pop two to three gens while you are in the first chase, but that's rather rare.
Whatever the case, gen 3-5 are usually teamwork and the perk should give you value at this point no matter what.
Great advice. Thank you
-
@Rulebreaker said:
Honestly its more of a "in the moment" thing. Some survivors actually earn respect or are friendly so we go through the match and see what happens and go from there.
Do you base it on just a good match or just them immediately asking for mercy at the start of the match?

Yeah,it feels pretty unfair to the other survivor's letting them go , because everyone was trying.If it's a DC because someone decided to sack the or try to ruin a game for a streamer,I let them go or if the survivor is genuinely a cutie, I let go.They melt my emotional button ever time,I have to let them go.
What would u consider cute? Lol

Yeah, every damned time (actually like half the time, but it feels like every time). It makes me insane, since those comprise like 90% of all my "missed" skill checks.
Super frustrating; just as you start letting go of the button, you hear the skill check sound, and it's like god. damn. it.
Don't think there's anything that can be done, unless they implement some sort or technician/corrective action effect when the button is released within .25 secs of a skill check or something. But if they did, I'm sure it would be abused somehow.
😂🤣😂 I was gonna say the same thing too about maybe they can do something but I agree. Somehow people will find some crazy way to take advantage of it 😞
-
Sometimes you cant wait though. It takes so long to wait for one and as soon as Im like ok this is taking to long and I release… BAM lol

I stay a lot - I also like to message people if I can if I think they're being done dirty. E.g. the other day I died on Midwich and the Billy was literally just running round carrying the Mikaela who refused to wiggle off. As such, the Nea was Trapped by the constant terror radius presence and not knowing what to do. There was 0.5 of a gen left, so I just gave her a little nudge to say she could probably go do the gen unmolested.
I also get a bit offended when Twitch streamers don't hang around to see how the team do. I enjoy their commentary.

Can't tell if that's a serious response or a sarcastic one but if it's serious....yes they do. They exist in more High Med to High MMR games and their soul purpose is to ruin the match for Survivors and Killers alike.
They sometimes Smurf themselves down to Low Med to Low MMR when they get bored but mostly target Content Creators and Fog Whispers more than regular players.
No No its a serious question. I had no idea the game could even get hacked! That is so sad, Who TF does that?! So silly.
so they will lower MMR? Is that to get like easier matches?

The only ones that annoy me are the survivors that do it because they're the first ones down. The ones that do it when the game is clearly lost... well, I don't like it but I get it and don't begrudge them.
Oh, and of course hackers but I feel like that goes without saying. Most hackers are very subtle but if you know what to look for you can pick them. Sometimes you might have hackers and not realize, but the killer or your team mates do.
Any examples? Im curious now.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/342469/disconnecting-or-suicides
If noone is saving u from the hook and letting u die on it. That is a valid reason to suicide on hook weather killer mains say it is or not. It isn't screwing over ur team when ur team isn't trying to save u.
Killers on the other hand, if they are disconnecting from matches cause they are losing. They shouldn't be playing as the killer. Same applies to ones who disconnect before the match even starts. Don't wait until u are loading into a match to leave the group u are a part of. Makes no sense and only upsets a person playing survivor cause then they have to wait to join another match. There is no valid reason to justify doing it Granted Survivors shouldn't do it either before a match begins but I've had some that do.
Yea when its before the match even starts I do get annoyed but I can understand a point if something comes up and u dont want to just die and leave your team alone

If you unhook just after TR fades away, killer comes back and punishes you.
If you unhook after a while, killer comes back to camp the second stage.
There is a sweet spot between these two... somewhere
😂😂🤣😂
-
@Brokenbones said:
If you want to heal after unhooking, bring We'll make it. Sometimes if the killer is planning on coming back, it's too late and you'll finish the reset
If you want to make sure it's as safe as you can, bring Kindred and Open Handed - Kindred will reveal the killer if they are within 16m of the hook and open handed extends it to 32m. If the killer is more than 32m away, then that unhook should basically be 100% safe. With this combo you can 100% guarantee safe unhooks
Pay attention to the HUD, if you see another survivor take damage shortly after a hook, it's safe to assume they're committed to the chase. You can run teammate aura perks or kindred to make sure the killer is still on them
Thanks a bunch!
-
@Laluzi said:
I generally wait for the TR to fade out and then some. Give the killer at least ten seconds to walk away from the hook. Generally, more is better and I prefer to wait a bit on my gen or whatever before going for the unhook, unless I have confirmation the killer is in another chase or I know they're leaving to pressure a gen with Tinkerer.
Healing under the hook is a risky move unless you know the killer is busy with someone else, or they teleported away and cannot immediately teleport back. If you have We'll Make It, sure, heal under that hook, but otherwise it's better to move a moderate distance away behind some cover. (However, if a survivor wants to take you across the map to some obscure corner, they're wasting too much time and don't bother with them. It's also possible that they don't want you to heal them if they aren't stopping in any reasonable time - Resilience, Pharmacy, Inner Healing, etc.)
That said, if the survivor's still waiting under that hook, I'd heal them anyway unless you know the killer is coming back. Since communication is so difficult, it's often better not to fight a stubborn player unless you have confirmation that what they want is a bad idea.
Thank you so much for the info 😊
