Didn't expect this change but it's very welcome! Now you can do more levels for less and grind add-ons cheaper as well. Great change!
They kind of had to do that considering they took away bonus bloodpoints on the teachable perks that offered bonus bloodpoints for doing certain things which in turn ruined those perks. Leveling and prestiging survivors takes 2 to 3 times longer to do than it used to since the Prestige Rework update. Hopefully making stuff in the bloodweb cheaper will make the level grind to prestige survivors as easy or close to as easy as it used to be.

when would you say it’s OK to disconnect from a match either as killer (Bullies? etc?) or survivor (Campers? First hooked?)and do you think suicides are acceptable? Or is it never ok on both sides? Just giving some examples of what Ive seen in game. What do yall think?
If noone is saving u from the hook and letting u die on it. That is a valid reason to suicide on hook weather killer mains say it is or not. It isn't screwing over ur team when ur team isn't trying to save u.
Killers on the other hand, if they are disconnecting from matches cause they are losing. They shouldn't be playing as the killer. Same applies to ones who disconnect before the match even starts. Don't wait until u are loading into a match to leave the group u are a part of. Makes no sense and only upsets a person playing survivor cause then they have to wait to join another match. There is no valid reason to justify doing it Granted Survivors shouldn't do it either before a match begins but I've had some that do.

I will be buying the whole DLC cause of the woman in the sexy red dress and to be able to get the perks the 2 survivors have unlocked on all my survivors cause like Jill and Leon before them. Both the new female survivors have at least one teachable perk that is worth learning on every other survivor.
Plus I like the fact they are adding another sexy female survivor to the game I can make into one of my mains.

I guess let them dream that their in a tournament for a million bucks eventually they'll snap back into reality and realize they didn't win anything😂
I still play it knowing that eventually the creators will see how stupid it was to take away the bloodpoint bonus from perks like were gonna live forever and make them the way they were. I also play it cause I enjoy it even thou matches are alot harder for survivors than they used to be.

The perk is so busted, its like reverse hex pentimento with no precondition and no counter. How dumb can this game be, its being used nonstop and games are over before they begin in high ranks. Worst design ever, please fix it before your game dies.
Also stop adding god pallets on your new maps that are horribly designed. Too many stealth options, too many god pallets/windows.
Get someone else to design new maps as all your new ones have been objectively horrible. I literally am leaving games at start because of how bad they are, and i probably will quit if this keeps up.
The obvious reason most people use it: It is the only Survivor perk left that gives bonus bloodpoints for doing generators with other survivors and it helps them finish generators faster.
Honestly before the Prestige Rework, I had no reason to bother with using Prove Thyself at all. But after they took away the bloodpoint bonus for Were Gonna Live Forever which they didn't need to do at all. They left me with no choice but to start using it cause of the fact it gives me bonus bloodpoints for working on generators with others. Which as a survivor u kind of need it for matches cause of that considering most killers with the way they have being buffed since the rework are killing survivors way too quickly in matches and not allowing them a chance to get a decent amount of bloodpoints so the only way to really counter act that is to use a perk that gives u bonus bloodpoints for something.
Clearly the Devs and the creators of the game left Prove Thyself the way it was to counter act the fact that with the rework. It's twice as hard to get a decent amount of bloodpoints in matches against killers lately making leveling survivors to Prestige level and prestiging them alot harder than it used to be to do it with perks that gave bonus bloodpoints.
That being said, I can't speak for most people who use Prove Thyself as one of their perks. They may use it for the same reason I do or to get thru gens faster with other survivors. But I wouldn't be surprised if some people use it for the bonus bloodpoint part of it and for me personally. With how difficult killers have become to win against in most matches. I will continue to use it to help me get bonus bloodpoints to level my survivors and prestige them.

Does anybody use keys?
I feel like since hatch can spawn only for 1 survivor, keys are simply rejected. Aura reading abilities are not worth using, I prefer brown medkit than key. Also its energy drains so fast
I don't use keys cause unless u are an really good at finding the hatch on any map in the game. They are pointless to use, the game won't even let me hear the noise that plays when I'm near the hatch. I've had friends watch me run past it without knowing it's there cause the hatch sound won't play when I'm near it. Would be nice if the game made it so that keys could automatically open the exit gate. That way people who have trouble finding the hatch in matches. Still would have a reason to use keys but that will never happen.

Since all my progress was on the playstation, I moved over to xbox series x, I have a bunch of killers at level 0 of course. I recently prestiged pyramid head and spirit. I have to say, it feels like such an enormous grind just to get these characters to level 50. Especially when you're earning around 40-50k blood points per match. Is anyone else feeling this new system seems much worse than it previously was?
Literally it's a huge grind for survivors since they got rid of the bloodpoint bonus for doing the tasks for David King's WGLF perk. When u actually had the bonus, even if u lost the match. U could still walk away with 25 to 30k in bloodpoints as long as u got 2 or 3 unhooks or protection hits.
Now as Survivor, u are lucky if u leave a match with more than 10 to 15k so the grind to level 50 to prestige is 2 to 3 times longer. They need to give the bloodpoint bonus back for WGLF so the grind reduction is actually there for survivors. Currently it isn't at all.

It needed a nerf, it was way too strong. It's the only way killers can track you! Without grunts of pain, survivors vanish. It was really unfair and one-sided.
If u need to rely on grunts of pain from the survivors to track them than u clearly aren't very good at playing killer.

Without a ping system or voice chat it often is unfortunately. I think adding one or both of those to the game would help out a lot. I"m still in favor of the killer buffs, but I've certainly come around to seeing the soloQ side of things.
Voice chat when something like that is happening would only lead to survivors cursing and swearing at killers who are camping them and getting banned when killer goes to the people who run the game complaining that people who have a right to be pissed off at the killer for camping them were unfairly verbally harassing them.

Survivors keep disconnecting because they realized they couldn't bully the killer anymore so they ALT+F4.
Can we just give them a 24 or 48 hours timeout from the game if they disconnected 2 or 3 times within a month? Thanks.
That wouldn't be fair to survivors at all. If I kill myself on hook, it's because the other 3 survivors that are with me aren't doing anything to help me there by giving me no other option.
Not gonna continue a match till it's done if noone on my survivor team is gonna unhook me cause they are too afraid to either man up or woman up against the killer and either rescue me from the hook or at least try to.
When ur teammates give u no other choice but to ######### on hook. U shouldn't be expected not to.

Because you're not even silent if your breathing and grunts of pain are still being heard + the killer can still clearly see you on many totems and chests, effectively making the silent part not matter. That extra time could be the difference between cleansing Devour, getting a gen done, etc ... Time is very important in this game. The penalty isn't worth it, and is undeserved when compared to other perks that are far stronger with no penalty.
Still would rather have that than the bloodpoint bonus be taken away from WGLF. They made the grind for bloodpoints harder not easier by taking away the one thing that made WGLF worth using in the first place and by doing so. They made grinding levels and bloodpoints take 2 to 3 times longer for Survivors.

Yeah I've noticed that it takes roughly 2-3 games just to earn what you used to get within just a single match. Sadly the grind hasn't gone anywhere.
Exactly my point, they didn't make the grind any easier than it was before. They did the opposite and made it worse.

I mean iv played for 3 years and I love this game- but now it's just pretty awful
Game has literally become fun for only killers. If u are a survivor main leveling and grinding bloodpoints takes 2 to 3 times longer than it used to which makes the game less fun by default. Honestly once I get all the teachable skills unlocked on all my survivors. I am going to take a nice long break and not play the game again until they changes things to were u aren't dying 9 times out of 10 in matches as survivor.

According to the devs, the grind would be reduced by 75%. I assumed that meant that instead of the usual 1 million it costed to prestige a character, it would instead cost 250k. Yet I just tried to prestige my Zarina with the 1.2 million bloodpoints I had saved up and it only got me to level 44.
Am I slow haha?
They actually make the grind worse than it was cause yes u get all a survivor's perks unlocked on every survivor same with killer when u prestige them once but now it takes forever to reach lvl 50 to prestige them cause killers aren't letting match last and kill us off too quick and cause of the bonus bloodpoint perks ending up with the bonus bloodpoint part of them getting taken away.

Perks should be compared at their strongest, and be balanced according to their third level. But if you want to compare level 1 perks ... at the new level 1, you're cleansing totems 50% slower. I would call that a nerf any day.
Who cares if u are cleansing totems 50% slower with it on when u don't make noises while doing it. If it were a nerf u would still be making noises while doing it.

The sad truth is, is that this is just a different kind of grind to replace the previous grind that was already there. Case in point: the removal of the blood point bonuses. There's literally no reason good enough to remove the blood point bonuses from BBQ and WGLF. None. If this change was meant to reduce the grind, then there's no reason to remove the blood point bonuses.
This is something I totally agree with u on. With the new update, grinding levels and prestiging survivors or Killers should be alot faster than it was before yet it's not for 2 reasons:
1: The people who made the prestige rework took away the bloodpoint bonuses in BBQ & Were Gonna Live Forever which at the end of the day made no sense at all. How has the grind being reduced to 75% when the bloodpoint bonuses of those 2 perks have being taken away. Without them, farming bloodpoints and grinding levels to get to lvl 50 to prestige characters takes 2 to 3 times longer than it should take. Taking those bonuses away, they made the grind alot worse than it was before the update.
2: Another reason grinding has been very difficult since the update is now u have killers with their buffed up perks killing survivors way too fast in matches where they are hardly getting any bloodpoints at all and the killer ends up with a bunch. Now when u had the bloodpoint bonus on WGLF as a Survivor. Even if u got killed fast by the killer, as long as u got at least 2 unhooks or 2 protection hits before the killer got u. U would end a match even if u lost with a decent amount of bloodpoints. But now with the removal of that bloodpoint bonus from WGLF. The only people who can do effective bloodpoint grinds in matches are killers and that ain't at all fair to survivor mains. Yes some perks needed changes but BBQ & WGLF didn't need nor did they deserve their bloodpoint bonus taken away.

But at level 3 it was already at 100%. So when comparing level 3 before and now, it is 100% a nerf because of the slower speed for a "silent" action that isn't even silent and still penalizes you when the killer isn't even nearby. No forced speed debuff is worth silent actions, especially when people are running the perk to prevent screaming and disturbing crows, not for the silent actions.
Ur logic makes no sense at all. How did it get nerfed when at lvl 1 it is still 100% effective at not startling crows. All calm mind has ever been good for is that and that part of the perk alone makes it one of the best in the game.
-
Also survivors even when not self sacrificing no longer have an advantage against the killer in a match since the update. 9 times out of 10 we still die against most killers.

Title.
Seriously if people stopped giving up or throwing the game, survivors still have the advantage.
I hate all these excuses people are making, trying to take it to the extreme when in reality people just arent use to having to try and can mess around and be inefficient and win.
It's a pvp game, you're meant to try to win.. if you dont TRY or play BETTER than your opponent you shouldn't win.
Too many people will see a red bar, or a certain killer and just give up straight away, even if the games not unbalanced they will just give up and use the patch as an excuse.
If you're struggling too much you likely got carried to an mmr beyond your actual skill through good teams carrying you or relied on DH. All this patch did is punish those players who was really inefficient and overly depended on the DH distance/mistake corrector.
The fact alone my wins are easier and my losses is always due to people giving up is stupid, I shouldn't be getting someone give up every other game because of their entitlement.
YOU HAVE TO TRY TO WIN, YOU HAVE TO ACTUALLY DO GENS.... expecting to win without trying or playing well is stupid.
(Yes I know tunneling is an issue, but that's not patch imbalances but just a tunneling issue that can be addressed. And people are quitting even before killers can tunnel so they cant use that as an excuse)
I rarely ever used Dead Hard before the patch or update. Didn't see the point of using it in a match.
At the end of the day, when I throw matches, I do it not to make a point or screw over my team. I do it because my team is screwing me over and not helping or even attempting to help me off hook. Not gonna waste time in a match just to make all the killers whining and complaining about people doing suicides on hook happy.
If ur team is leaving u to die on the hook and focusing only on generators cause they are too afraid of the killer in the match. It ain't my fault when I kill myself on hook, it's theirs. Simple as that.

Honestly as long as my team is playing the way they should and by that I mean saving me from the hook and not leaving me there to die to work on Generators. Than I honestly don't care if I win or lose. But if it's the opposite and noone is helping me off the hook than I hate losing cause at that point, it's more my team's fault than mine and noone can say otherwise to that. Ur suppose to help ur fellow survivors in matches not leave them to die.

@Jinxed said:
I could be wrong, but I was always under the impression that survivor players on average play more casually than killer players.
Where a lot of killer players take the game much more seriously and consider nothing less than a 3k a loss, survivors tend to play the game to chill out and have fun and dying half of the time is okay as long as you got to do a few fun things in the game and give it your best try, even better when you get your teammates out.
The main problem with this patch in my eyes, is that survivor players now have to sweat profusely in order to get a win. Slamming gens, being an extremely efficient looper, being able to read every mind game. I just don't think that the majority of the survivor player base plays the game that way, and that's one of the main reasons that so many are threatening to leave or have already left.
For the top 10% of survivor main SWF who already loved to bully killers and were really good in chase nothing has really changed, but for the average survivor the entire game feels unbalanced.
Killers are still tunnelling, gens take forever to complete, and survivor perks aren't rewarding anymore. Not to mention the amount of rage quitting that happens in solo queue. There just isn't much fun to be had if you're a solo survivor anymore, and that is the main issue.
For me as long as at least one member of my survivor team actually tries to save me from the hook weather they can or can't. I will stay in the game but if noone is bothering to save me on hook unless I force my hook count to 2 than they are giving me reason to suicide on hook.
I don't know about other people who off themselves on the hook early in the match but I do it to leave the match if none of my team is willing to even attempt to help me off hook. Literally I am wasting my time in a match if noone is helping me off the hook cause I'm not gonna wait to die while my teammates do other stuff in the match and instead would rather just end it and go to another match were hopefully my team will actually help me.
So honestly before killers blame the people commiting suicide on hook for not being a team player and screwing over their team. U might want to think twice about it. If my team helps me off the hook or at least attempts to than I have no problem staying for the rest of the match. But if I do suicide on hook, u can be sure it's my team's fault for not helping me off hook and not mine. Nothing I can do if my team of survivors refuses to be team players.

"BBQ is only meta for the bp bonus...". That's odd because I still see it every other game. It's almost like seeing where every other survivor is after each hook is powerful. So is BBQ going to get a nerf or do only the survivor meta perks get hard nerfs?
Were Gonna Live Forever was only worth using when it had the BP bonus from doing the tasks outlined in it. Now that u don't get bonus bloodpoints from doing the tasks, there is no point to even using it cause before it was good for levelling characters and gave those who used it more incentive to actually unhook or protect survivors. They ruined that perk, there was no reason to take away the bloodpoint bonus from it and they should have left it the way it was. Where as BBQ & Chill is still useful to use on killers even with the Bloodpoint bonus gone.

@Aztreonam78 said:
Calm Spirit reduces Cleansing and Searching speeds by 30%. Cleansing a Totem increases from 14 seconds to 20 seconds.
How do you feel about it?
Honestly not sure how it's considered a nerf considering Calm Spirit is one of the best perks in the game for 1 simple reason: When it's at 100%, u don't have to worry about crows alerting the killer to where u are on the map. Which is useful in any match cause there are usually alot of crows and it's really easy to scare them and let the killer know exactly where u are by doing so.
Since the update, the 100% effective thing against not alerting crows happens at lvl 1 instead of lvl 3 which is why it's one of the few perks the update changed that made it better instead of worse.
Since Killers sometimes rely on the crows to find out where on the map u are while hunting u. By using this perk u take that ability away from them even at lvl 1. So I'm not sure how more people don't see it as one of the best perks in the game instead of the worst. It's on all my builds.

It's not just with killers, I'm experiencing similar issues with audio as the survivor. Like when I'm repairing a Generator for example. It will go from being noisy to silent and than after a few seconds become noisy again. Like if a little kid were playing with the audio as a joke.

I've been playing a killer to see how much I can get without killing anyone. 0k I'm still getting my 8 hooks without the last one to kill anyone, I'm pulling in 32,500 BP, so from where I'm sitting by not killing anyone I'm not actually losing anything. Just making it fun for everyone else in the game, because if I kill them they walk away with 8, 9, 13,16k. This way they get around 25k and I get my 32k, and everyone has fun.
Wish there were more people playing killers like u to be honest. Even thou alot of Killer mains will hate me for saying that. I say it for one main reason: farming more than 10-15 bloodpoints as the survivor has gotten to the point where it is almost impossible in alot of matches cause killers kill u too fast and than instead of u both gaining alot of bloodpoints by them prolonging the match and making it go longer. They end up being the only ones who get big bloodpoint gains.
Which than makes it take forever as a survivor to get thru bloodwebs and prestige ur characters. That is why I'm always happy to go against killers who allow u a good bloodpoint farm before killing u.

So, the update is a step in the right direction for game health and has made the killer experience a bit better. However, survivors are still the power role.
Gens still go by super quickly even with the extra 10 seconds added and every killer match I've played so far since the update had at least two survivors bringing Prove Thyself and a Commodious Toolbox with BNP, making gens even more of an issue. Survivors are complaining that killers are still running the "slowdown meta", but slowdown perks are needed to get by without gens flying left and right.
Camping and tunnelling were nerfed into oblivion with the base kit BT and OTR changes. Survivors can now save in the killer's face with no repercussions. Grabs don't even exist anymore and if you do manage to grab a survivor, it will freeze the game for 5 or more seconds and the grabbed survivor will be free, benefitting the survivors in the long run.
Maps are a huge issue when it comes to game balance as well. The Game (Gideon Pallet Plant), RPD (Pallet City), Garden of Joy, Mother's Dwelling, and Eyrie of Crows are huge examples of this. What do all of these maps have in common? They're all big maps with an absurd number of pallets and strong loops, which will guarantee the survivors a win 99% percent of the time. Even the most experienced and strongest of killers have a hard time on these maps. Not only that, but infinite loops still exist on certain maps (Ex: The Pale Rose boat loop, Grim Pantry's main building loop, RPD Library, etc). Both Backwater Swamp and Red Forest needs updates because they are from a different time and do not fit the current game. Mind gaming loops is also out of the question, considering survivors can see over most of the tiles.
And on top of all of that, Survivors can still body block hooks, sabotage, and blind killers at ridiculous angles (you could be facing a wall and still get blinded) and you'll most likely lose the carried survivor. Losing a carried survivor is a big deal because you wasted all of that time in a chase for nothing and have to start another chase, most of the time with an uninjured survivor.
Now not all of these things are necessarily bad or unbalanced, but this game is still survivor sided despite the changes and buffs to killers. Survivors are still in need of nerfs and killers are still in need of buffs.
Ur theory about Survivors after the update being still too OP is completely BS. How do I know this, since the update I've being losing to killers alot more than winning against them. Where as before the update my wins/losses ratio was pretty much equal with the game. Look at any wins/losses chart out for the game right now since the update and I can guarantee u 100%. There will be alot more wins on the killer side than the survivor.
Also want to point out that when only one survivor is on a generator it takes forever now to finish even one solo without a toolbox with add ons. They aren't by any means quick to get thru on ur own.

First off DH meant any noob could get away really easily. Everyone and their mum used DH because of how strong and easy it was.
People don't do rescues in SoloQ, that is true but it has nothing to do with Camping, it has to do with SOLOQ mentality. Survivors do 2 things: They are SELFISH and only care about themselves and when things don't go their way they are SELFISH and kill themselves and throw matches.
Low MMR Survivor is Hell not because Killers are OP or overbuffed but because people don't play well at all... Y
10 more seconds to do a gen isn't an "OMG we can't win" scenario, Prove Thyself and Toolboxes still exist...
Most survivors, which are CASUALS, are just freaking throwing matches instead of playing.
I get it if people just wanna have fun but one things is having fun the other is just throwing the match for everyone else.
Even as killer i hate survivors who throw matches. It makes my win feel like a cheat, i'll never know what kind of plays and decisions i'd have to make if they'd played the match with the intent to win.
There's no middle ground in DbD, it's either Low MMR Hell or High MMR Efficiency...
Yes but if a killer is camping u or no survivors want to save u. As a survivor, there is no motivation to continue the match at that point and not off yourself on the hook. Plus u can't really say that a survivor who kills themselves on hook is screwing over his team by doing so when their team would rather leave them to die than save them. If a Survivor chooses to sacrifice themselves, it is because their team doesn't want to save them or be team players and if ur team isn't willing to help u off hook. There is no reason to stay in the match for u.
I'm a survivor main and I hate it when people throw survivors who off themselves on the hook under the bus and claim u are ruining it for ur team when usually the reason survivors off themselves on the hook is cause their team won't save them from the hook and when they won't. They make it so that is ur only option, not gonna stay in a match as a survivor on hook until it kills me if noone wants to save me from it on my team. So instead of blaming that survivor, u should blame the team they are on for not helping them.
-

So now that your precious DH no longer makes you a "God" you throw matches...
Now that gens take a wee bit longer to do you just throw matches...
Now that you think you're a Tank with +1 HP you just throw matches....
Stop throwing matches for god sake! I already disliked survivor on it's own because it's boring, brainless gameplay but you people throwing matches because AFTERALL IT'S TRUE YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY is freaking annoying!
Even when i play Killer it's freaking annoying having survivors just give up cause of some lame excuse....
Ok first off DH never made an survivor a god. Killers could still catch survivors who used it. It just made it a tiny bit harder for them to do so.
Also when a Survivor is being either camped by the killer or none of the other survivors are even bothering to save them. There is no reason for a survivor not to kill themselves on hook yo get out of the match to move onto another one.
What really bugs me is Survivors who refuse to even attempt to save me until I force myself into the 2nd hook phase by trying to get off it and than they finally come to save me. I shouldn't have to do that to get saved by a survivor or for a survivor to quit being lazy and actually try and save me on 1st hook. When a survivor gets hooked, one person should save them while the others work on Gens or avoid the killer. If it's down to only 2 besides u. One does a Gen the other saves u.
The issue with survivors quiting at the end of the day is cause most survivors don't want to work as a team with their team and only do what benefits them in the end.
-
Honestly I appreciate when killers let the survivor win the odd time even thou I don't expect it all the time.
What I hate is when someone puts in high bloodpoint earning items like the Bloody Party streamers etc only for the killer to kill off every survivor so fast that they can't take advantage of it like the killer can and not get alot of bloodpoints from the match too. No reason the killer can't play the match to last a bit so that the bloodpoints gained at the end benefit more than just them.

I'm curious if anyone else is experiencing special treatment due to prestige levels? Maybe even the opposite where with a lower level you feel you might be targeted more?
I just want regular games, and I don't want to have to 6 second switch onto my main, so I kind of wish these levels were hidden in the lobby.
Honestly even before the update where it shows the prestige levels of ur characters. I had several matches where the killer was basically going after me until I was dead on hook even when they could have focused on other survivors and not just on me till they kill me. Even had killers that leave a chase when they see me just to go after me even if they have already hit the other survivor and are one hit away from downing them.
I used to think it was due to how many killers I had blocked on the game or given unsportmanlike penalities due to them playing the game unfairly towards me instead of others in the match. But since I found out that all blocking someone does is make it so they can't talk to u in game.
I have wondered if that was really the case. But since the update, not as many killers focus on killing me before anyone else in the match which is interesting considering how much killers used to do that to me. I used to see it as me being one of DBD's most hated survivor mains in the game when it came to people who play killer but now I don't know.

Why do I have to buy a new prestige with bps. 20k bps for p12. Are you ######### kidding? Wow. Please reconsider this. Many of us are already on the brink of quitting the game already.
I'm fine with the prestige bloodpoint cost. Only way I would have issue with it is if they made it over 50k to prestige a character.

wow, that’s cute. You really think this perks are equal?
To use overcome you need the stun and this mostly work only against m1 killer.
with dh you don’t have to drop the pallet and can go for another loop. Dh was used to avoid hits from killer powers like nurse, huntress (hitboxes!!), Pyramidhead, blight and so on.

They are pretty much the same perk, like I said the only difference between them is u have to let the killer hit u to activate. The original dead hard was able to let u sprint boost with the touch of the button. They may not be equal but still they are both perks that give u a sprint boost to get away from the killer and the perfect subsitute for the nerfed Dead Hard.

I should’ve been more clear, sorry. I was referring to the people who spend so much time running to the corner of the map just to self-care and prioritise it over everything else, even if there is another survivor nearby. Or spend so long Self-Caring even though the killer has Sloppy and Coulrophobia (rare, but you get my point)
You know, the ones that gave Self-Care a bad rep even though it was still a good perk if used correctly. Now though, because none of those bad Self-Care users use it anymore the only ones that still do use it are now the ones who know when to use it or pair it with botany so they still save time.
Sorry if it come off as mean, didn’t mean to make it seem like anyone who uses Self Care is bad, just that the bad Self Care users are much less common now.
Thank u for clarifying that, appreciate it.

Well the patch is out, which means Dead Hard and a lot of other perks have been "reworked".
Dead Hard now works like the Styptic Agent but alot shorter. (And in my opinion a hell of a lot more balanced)

So, opinions on Dead Hard?
Can't wait for people to say "DBD is dead!", Gobernunget.
What I find funny is the fact all these people pissed off about the Dead Hard nerf don't seem to realize that Overcome is almost the exact same perk as Dead Hard. The only difference being that u have to let the killer hit u for the speed boost so to those who are pissed about the Dead Hard nerf. Just use Jonah's Overcome instead as long as they don't nerf or change it. It's a great subsitute for Dead Hard.

I played killer all day yesterday to try out the perk changes and new game play mechanics. It is much less stressful not having to deal with dead hard on every survivor every chase. Won some, lost some, tried out some goofy builds now that I have nearly every perk t3 on every killer. Which by the way I wouldn't have dared try in the former meta. So okay, good there, switched over to see how the other side is living.
Survivors are literally throwing.
I don't know if this is like some form of protest because dead hard got nerfed or an attempt to artificially inflate the kill rates so killer buffs get reverted but NO ONE is even trying to do gens. Every time I chase for a bit and eventually get hooked I see survivors jumping in and out of lockers or clustered around the hook.
Guys what happened?
We couldn't keep you off gens before you wouldn't even do totems now no survivor is even trying I did two gens last game solo we got 4k'ed with 3 gens left. It's like the Spirit DC protest all over again.
DO THE GENS
Technically Overcome and Dead Hard are in essence the same perk. The only difference is that u have to get hit by the killer to get a speed boost. So when u look at it that way. All Dead Hard mains have to do is switch to Overcome to compensate for the Dead Hard nerf.
I've only ever thrown a match when there is me and one other survivor with 3 or more gens to cause at that point unless u are really good at finding the hatch. U are sure to lose.

So ever since the update- every single match iv been camped and tunneled. and nodded and hit on the hook by killers, not sure why killers are playing this dirty- all with thana so no gens are even getting complete whilst I'm being camped- so you cant even use that as a strat against camping killers anymore.
Camping will always be a dirty tactic employed by killers but there is no getting rid of it apparentely so might as well just get used to it. I hate it too but not gonna let it ruin my DBD experience and it will never completely go away.

wow seriously that is a stupid reason to think Kate is bugged just cause her boobs don't jiggle. She is not Lara Croft.

So many posts on here saying that “survivor is dead”, “every game is 4K at 5 gens while the killer is blindfolded” and so on.
Yet for me, I’m still escaping most of my games in solo queue honestly feel like I’m having more fun now.
Yes gens take 10 seconds longer and killers are stacking slow down, but killers always stacked slow downs before. And I feel like I can actually get gens on faster now that I don’t have to deal with Ruin/Tinkerer/Pop/Pain Res + DMS anymore.
Thanatophobia is annoying, but it adds about 20 seconds to a gen (I think, correct me if I’m wrong), which is the same amount of time a single use of Pop used to remove. And that’s only if everyone is injured. Not to mention a 110 second generator is still less than an 80 second gen being reset to zero because of a Ruin/Tinkerer Blight or resetting 12 seconds and then blocked for another 45 because of Pain Res/DMS. The current slow down perks feel less oppressive than the old ones.
Camping and tunnelling is still an issue, but it was always an issue. Killer’s always camped and tunnelled, it’s nothing new. Same with dumb solo queue teammates, they were always there so why is it suddenly an issue now? If anything I feel like I’ve actually gotten BETTER teammates now that no one is using Self-Care and teammates seem competent and not like a bunch of newbies being carried by Dead Hard.
Some changes I agree were terrible, like the DS stun nerf, but overall I feel like I’m actually doing better now as survivor. Solo queue definitely needs some buffs, not denying that, but I feel like everyone is overreacting a bit, just like everyone was with the “OP endurance meta” we were supposed to be getting.
And I’m getting way more killer variety than just Blight and Nurse, which is great.
Maybe I’m just lucky though, feel free to share your experiences or call me a dumbass if you disagree, I just wanted to share my experience with this update.
People who use self care can be just as good at Survivor as those that don't. To say those who don't use it are better teammates is a little bias and mean to those who do. I can go without self care but it does come in handy to have especially when u can't find a med kit or someone to heal u.

Which 3 Killers would you ban as a Survivor?
Nemesis, The Oni and Blight, every other killer in the game u actually have a fighting chance at winning against no matter how good the player playing the killer is with them. But when u play against Nemesis, Blight or The Oni unless someone inexperienced is playing them, u are pretty much sure to lose. They are way too OP, With Blight he's too OP due to how fast he can run otherwise u would have a fighting chance against him. Outrunning him in a chase is pretty much impossible unless they see some other survivor and change their course to go after them.

You need to finish the level 50 Bloodweb now.
Then on the next screen there is only the big prestige icon for 20.000 BP.
Thanks for the help, I thought that might be how u do it but wasn't sure.

This patch is such a healthy change to the game. Gen speeds have been addressed and dealt with, along with camping and tunneling. Metas have been butchered. Dead Hard is dead (which is a massive relief lol). Basekit BT isn't that hard to deal with compared to Dead Hard atleast. The endurance effect stacking is now fixed after the ptb. And the grind has been reduced.
But some players (especially survivors) are threatening to leave the game saying "oh killer sided patch, solo queue is destroyed". You do realize that these slight killer buffs were necessary because kill rates weren't high enough in the first place right?
I agree, I don't see the point of quiting a game entirely just cause of a few changes made to the game in an update. True fans at least from my perspective still stick it out thru the good and the bad. So the game makes some changes u don't like, big deal. It's a game, the changes aren't always gonna appeal to everyone and games are gonna make changes u are bound to hate.
I'm a Survivor main cause I suck being the killer and I don't like the fact they are nerfing Iron Will and making it pointless to even use. But does that mean I'm gonna get butt hurt by it and quit the game altogether. Hell no, I love playing DBD, it's one of my favorite games to play on my Switch and I'm looking forward to the update.

Alright. That's your opinion. Doesn't make u right or anything. Just shows dbd is not for u if ur getting that mad over a in game mechanic that devs stated is a legit strategy. Not all players who camp are mean disrespectful people. And remember if ur getting mad over it just eat a kit Kat and take a small break. It just a game.
Never said I was right about it, merely was stating my opinion. Not everyone is gonna like camping in the game and agree with someone else on their opinion. It's not wrong to dislike an aspect of one of ur favorite games. When people aren't camping me on a hook. It's a fun game to play and I enjoy it. But when a match is ruined for me cause someone decides to hook me and not let anyone save me or even give them a chance to. Than it's less fun. U don't need to camp to win a match if u are good at playing the killer.

Dont believe me, how about an BHVR employee?
It wasn't so much that I didn't believe u as I found it hard to believe that there is the ability to block in game but all it does is block people from messaging u.
Most games if u block someone, they can't be matched up with u in matches so not sure why there is a block option if it doesn't do that. Defeats the purpose of even having one to begin with.

Blocking doesn’t prevent you from being matched with that player. It just blocks them from being able to communicate with you.
I find that hard to believe even if it's true. If it is, what is the point in blocking someone in game if they can still be put in a match with u. Since blocking is suppose to prevent u from ending up in matches with the person u blocked.

What do you think is an issue or problem that's DBD related that isn't talked about or discussed enough?
Majority of us all know about the usual hot topics and how they are talked about to death; SWFs, Nurse, The meta and so on but what's something you see and go "Why aren't more people talking about this?" Maybe it gets overshadowed or forgotten quickly.
Also it doesn't have to be something strictly game related it could be something about the community, the forums, content creators (In a general sense, not individuals) and so on.
I'm curious to know
Why do people leave before the match even starts, had this happen a few times where they will do the check mark thing to go into the match only to leave and ruin the match for everyone in it. I've had it happened with killers and survivors. If u aren't commited to a match. Have the decency to leave the lobby before it starts.
It can be very annoying cause when u are playing the game late at night and wait times are 20-30 mins at times.

I know every multiplayer team based game has bad players. But oh LORD does DBD have some… savory characters. Is there anything in SOLO Q I can do when the team is just bad? I just had a game with Freddy where the last gen was 80% done (by me) and my last 2 teammates refused to do gens. They just hid behind trees and went down. I even looped him for 3 minutes or so away from the gen. Is there anything else I can do? A good build maybe?
I usually just block them in game. That way u avoid having to play with them again.
