But with a reduced collision box it actually makes him easier to use. People are just grasping at straws
It does not make him easier to use, because the power was only strong out in the open, where if survivors had nothing to hide behind, it was a guaranteed hit the second you starting bounding.
They nerfed that aspect, without buffing the part where it could potentially be used as anti loop/vault. I don't actually blame them completely, they are oblivious to how this is going to play out in ranked matches. They should not have released him so janky, it's going to be really bad because he was clearly alpha-level release worthy in PTB, not beta.

wesker on the same level as sadako lmfao. sure dude
I guess we will see. I might be one of the few who understands what a smaller hitbox on his bound means. It means you can no longer use it at long range for anything. And at close range, because of its charge time, its basically worthless almost always.
He will perform around the same level of Sadako whether you believe it or not.

Ummmm what are you smoking?
If you actually compared their powers (wesker and cannibal), you would see cannibals is far superior. Wesker will have nothing now except a demo lunge that can't hit anything from far away. Wesker needed buffs, but they changed nothing from their crap PTB.
He is going to severely underperform in high rank games just like Sadako. If you don't think im wrong thats fine, but it wont change anything. He is basically a nurse with no anti-loop, they couldn't have done him any worse.

So Wesker got some changes in the latest developer update, and on paper they are ALL BUFFS!
Yet I've serfed the comments quite a bit and see quite a handful of select people who are saying he was nerfed heavily. Their reason? His ridiculous hurt box was reduced when using his power. If there's something else, I don't see it.
Weskers reduced hurt box makes him more precision focused, and...y'know...actually require skill. Not just aim, Yolo and win. On top of that he can injure at both pallets and windows, making them unsafe now. Oh! And they also increased his movement speed after the first bound so you properly get better value on the second bound.
How is any if that a nerf?
I agree that he needed a smaller hitbox on his bound because it often collided with other stuff. But he also needed a lot of small buffs to compensate for the fact it's going to be useless now out in the open. You wont be able to use it to get a guaranteed hit anymore that way.
The biggest issue is that even with the smaller hitbox it WILL NOT be useful at around 80% of pallets/vaults at all.
Think about this. Cannibal, has a...
1) shorter charge time
2) insta-down
3) can "curve" as much as he wants
4) bigger hitbox
5) more distance covered and longer power usage
6) faster recovery time
7) can insta-break pallets very fast
And yet, he still isn't overpowered at all. Weskers power is ultimately worse than Cannibals, a lot worse now for 1 reason, that being it's not even useful anymore to guarantee a hit from a distance in the open which was his only strength. They traded his only strength for a small buff that will not matter Wesker needed a shorter charge time, 3 bounds, to bound after vaulting, and a few other things.
You will see what a pile of crap he is when he releases. All that said he is the funnest, but now probably a very bad killer.

well they are pretty similiar but if you use wesker's iri addon that lets you break pallets he breaks them faster than a demo shred and he can cover bigger distances with his power. i still dont understand why blight is 32m when he is clearly more mobile than wesker
I don't think people here get what the nerfed wesker hitbox on bound will mean. It's going to be a lot smaller, not just a little. The biggest issue, is that is has a 1.5 sec charge, he will never hit it anywhere that matters except out in the open if he is super lucky.

Map pressure- First Aid Sprays are passive slowdown, but not much admittedly. Even then, top killers like Spirit don’t have much in the way of map pressure either.
Anti-loop- Any loop with long sight lines, Wesker can deal with. This includes LT walls, Jungle Gyms, Shack if you run it correctly, and some other map-specific tiles.
Instadown- When a survivor is fully infected and Wesker hits them with his power and slams them they are downed even when healthy.
Vault Counter- Wesker is able to hit survivors through vaults with the change he received.
Map pressure - still none, assuming plague has map pressure even though she infects people 10x easier and can put infection on gens.
Anti-loop - He needed 3 to be anti-loop of any kind, not 2 charges. He isn't nurse pal. I wont even explain this further, people on these forums are too dumb to be worth doing so.
Instadown - It will never happen unless he is fighting total noobs, in which case itll happen a lot. But if you are not zero rank survivor/killer, this is meaningless.
Vault counter - Not bad at all, he can do what every other killer in the game can now, but still not enough to make him even a B rank killer.

Yes, like every other killer in the game except him on the PTB.
So he has the very strong effects he had on the PTB with the sole caveat that you have to aim a little better, and also he can now play around vaults properly. Certainly, this is a situation which warrants the vitriolic sarcasm you're flinging at me, and isn't a situation that would lead to you looking very silly.
Please man, don't believe me. You will see what a piece of crap he is on release in anything resembling high rank games. BHVR has dropped the ball so hard on this, it's over.
Imagine blight with 2 charges, a charge time on rush, and a long recharge time... that is what wesker is right now. It isn't strong in any sense of the word. BHVR"s design team are idiots and i don't say that to insult them; it's just true.
Once survivors realize they just have to play around pallets 100% to dodge him, he will end up only a bit better than the lowest rank killers.
Something you don't get, he was NEVER very strong on PTB. PTB is 99% potato survivor idiots who join because they are fans of whatever chapter releases.

Oh no they made his best add on base kit. Oh the atrocities :C
Get outta here bozo <3
HIs best addon you are referring to was not his best. The best is all survivors start infected as that buys you a lot of time.
Regardless of your completely idiotic statement, his green/yellow comb wasn't even good at all, because his anti-loop with it was still non-existent at around 80% of most pallets/vaults.
You overestimated Wesker and underestimated how stupid BHVR is releasing him like this.

did you read the patch notes how did he get nerfed exactly? they buffed him greatly and he was already quite good in the ptb. they only nerfed the survivor hitbox while using virvulent bound but thats mostly not gonna hurt him in any way
They will have nerfed him by copy-pasting blight or demos hitbox to his attack.
This is kinda huge when wesker has a visual indication and1.5 secs to charge his attack, and is ultimately slower than demo to use it.
The devs have absolutely destroyed any chance of Wesker being more than a C-D tier killer. They design around complete idiot survivors and nothing else i think.
He still has no map pressure, no anti loop, no insta-down, no vault counter.
He is complete crap just like BHVR's design team. Honestly dont believe me if you dont want too, you will see what a pile of crap he is at release.

Wesker was buffed, what on earth are you talking about?
Pal it's not perceived as a buff when you actually understand the game. The bound attack was super strong out in the open because you "couldnt miss" with it, now it's worthless and more like a demo-shred. The problem with it for anti-loop is that you needed more than 2 charges, atleast 3.
They didn't do that and he now has 2 blight rushes, which is useless for countering pallets/vaults most the time.
He is a noob stomper and nothing more. Devs looked too much at potato survivors in PTB to design him, and he is essentially going to be a complete crap killer like the last few they have released.
-
@Dead_Harder said:
Better at loops?
Wiggle room when colliding with objects?
Instantly injuring survivors when they are vaulting??
Hype <3
He isn't strong at all, and he got nerfed pretty badly overall for his out-in-the-open gameplay. I imagine like Demo, itll be impossible to hit a survivor at range with bound now.
He needed 3 charges, less charge time, and better addons. He still has no anti-loop at all, and no map pressure. He is going to be a total crap killer on level of trapper in high rank games. A noob stomper maybe, but nothing fun when you are good at the game.

I like them. They seems fair and address many people's concerns with previous changes and things added to the PTB.
Absolutely atrocious
They didnt buff Wesker at all, and he is "bound" to be a plaything for survivors who have more than 2 braincells that aren't competing in a deathmatch.
I cant believe they didn't give him 3 charges, lower the charge time, and change his crap addons. Idk if he will sell well, he is fun, but he really wasn't strong at all. They screwed this up badly.

A while ago I did one for the nurse today I'm doing one for what "I think" the worst killer is the shape
There is only 1 requirement you must keep his stalking mechanic add anything you want or even change what happens when he reaches t3
Have fun
Honestly, just add a t4 and remove his kill-addons, and if he gets t4 by stalking 3 full survivors in total (which is what itd take), he gets a super unique terror radius music and can insta-kill/mori any survivor he downs.
Not much else you can really do with him imo.

Solo survivors don't need buffs of any kind.
They need to start repairing gens more and stop playing badly. Low survival rates are entirely due to poor tactical decisions, cockiness and entitlement.
The difference between solo and SWF survivors, are night and day.
Needs to be changes regarding this system or game is going to die. Solo atm is basically unplayable because most rando-survivors as you say, do in fact play like crap.
More information would help, which isn't a bad thing.

Because almost no one is at high MMR.
The game is only Survivor-sided when all Survivors know what they're doing and using their best stuff
Its survivor sided when the survivors play with common sense. BHVR balances around potatoes which are like 90% of the survivor playerbase.
Game is going to die soon because of this

I certainly hope not. Artist is very poorly designed in my opinion. My least favorite killer. Ugh.
Now Whisker? He a cutie. More like him, pls. UwU
I think the reason she isn't played is similar to nurse, missing your power too much feels unrewarding, so people go with killers that get hits more often. The learning curve with her is steep similar to Nurse, that's why they both have low pick rates IMO.

@Dead_Harder said:
Sadako has pretty high skill ceiling.
Around nurse or so, maybe above.
What you want isnt a high skill ceiling killer but a high power killer.
Yes, Sadakos high skill ceiling of knowing where to use your telegraphed teleport. Or dematerialize into a wet noodle, and then back into a standard m1 killer with no power.
High skill ceiling indeed.

This perk is simply too strong, and i see it now in every high rank game i play killer as, especially SWF.
its 30% bonus repair speed, with no pre-condition other than what is normal that being another survivor is repairing a gen with you. Its like a reverse hex-pentimento with nothing to counter it.
This perk is not helping noob survivors, its helping SWF do 2-3 gens before the game even truly begins.
Nerf it from 15% bonus to 5%, thats it. So easy.
I am not going to insult the developers because i know this is probably just overlooked, but it needs fixing or high rank games will feel like total crap on non S-A tier killers.
Thank you.

no offense but anything you say about the devs will be taken with a massive grain of salt with how jaded you guys have made your fanbase.
They keep designing absolute stinkers of maps and take zero input from the playerbase. Wesker is a very fun killer but I don't think he will get the changes he needs to make everyone happy.
Just wish they got someone else on map design, as it's just so bad right now.
