I just finished a match as Killer where I played at Midwich. Is it just me, or are parts of this map ridiculously dark? For example, there was a corridor in a back corner of the courtyard that was so dark that I couldn't figure out which way I was going after during a chase. So, I went back and watched a video of my gameplay against a twitch streamer and I'm must say it bummed me out. For me, personally, I thought the day I would be a Rank 1 killer will never come. Even if it's for one match and the next time I play I will depip and I will never ever be rank 1 again, just the simple fact that for once I've been Rank 1 as a killer is one of the best feelings I've had in a long time. I hope there is a way to reduce the volume of bgm in this game. The chasing music is so loud that many times it prevents you from hearing the trap door. If you are a spectator, you can hear it just fine as you don't hear the chasing music. The chasing music for killers is also not that loud compared to that of survivors'. As the title suggests, I wanna hear your opinions about the best design-wise map we've had so far (gameplay doesn't count). In my opinion, it's either the saloon (deathslingers map) or the school (silent hills map). They both have insane easter eggs and the aesthetic is just great. Already the map is too big, runs poorly, almost every tile connects together to make the whole map one huge loop, and it is extremely hard to see auras and scratches. Will this visual update fix any of this? I can say with virtually 100% confidence that it won't. Almost every single time I watch the last survivor in the game and the killer does this, they either A) pull them off the gate, B) down them right before it opens or C) down them right after it opens. The killer then hooks or moris the survivor. Sometimes they go so far as to let them crawl until just before they can escape before hooking or killing them. Please consider turning back on the protection to prevent Smurfing. The Killer should be selected to match the color Rank of the most potent in the group, not the weakest. It is NOT averaging the Ranks of all involved. When playing killer against survivors that know the game, even if they are noobs at juking/looping, they succeed to do all gens in 5 minutes. Played two times in a row against SWF high rank (they clearly knew the game), and i clearly couldn't do anything, even though i ended every chase in ~30 sec. I usually play killer and look at it like a dnd game where I run the action. I choose to play fair and try to get to all players, not camping hooked players. Not going right back after an unhooked player. Trying to spread the Hysteria. The downside is the 10's an under think it is a race to do generators an leave the unhooking to other people. Just played a match where the killer was not hooking survivors when there were available hooks. He would pick up the survivor and take them to a corner of the map (farm) and would have them wiggle out in the corner where there were no pallets, windows, etc., and he would be able to down them within seconds of wiggling out. After hearing people's concern over the Perk Dead Hard. The main problem with it to killers is that its used for distance and not to dodge an attack. And although I feel its fine I can understand how that can be overpowered. So a possible fix could be to make the dash for distance work when the survivor is in a certain range of the killers. Through the thousands of hours I've played DBD, starting as survivor main and eventually playing killer often, there's a few "memes" within the game. One that most know is Basement Bubba. For those who don't, it's essentially Leatherface with Insidious protecting his basement or chest until a survivor runs down for the chest. I see a lot of people vying for it to remain off but in all honesty I think it's necessary. Consider the fact that without it currently, the more you play the game, the more the game considers you to be good, regardless of whether you improve. So, today I was casually trying to do my challenges and killer happened to run Noed + Bloodwarden. I was waiting at the exit gate for timer to go down so the tentacle monster could eat my butt. I don't know why but for some reason I decided to DH through the entity block and game froze about 20 seconds but I was able to use ESC to navigate through settings menu. It's not his gameplay, but his sound . In specific, one sound. I have recently don’t mind the whole penalty thing I want it - But I go into a game it clips out for no reason- then I lose a pip and get hit with the penalty.
