After this post, I'm deciding to leave this forum for good. No matter how much any of us try, nothing will get to these people, or at least, the ones that give a damn. But hey, I might as well go out with one last Nemesis thread before I leave, because he's the Killer I've criticized so much in the past and he's the Killer that's disappointed me the most in the game because of how weak and unfini0 comments 51 views last activity

If you want to justify keeping the Boon Totems as they currently are, let Killers grab Survivors off of healing their allies. It's that simple.4 comments 31 views last activity

What gives? Trickster was in an arguably better state than Nemesis on his own release (mostly because he wasn't actually partially unfunctional), but he got looked at in every facet.2 comments 31 views last activity

Dead by Daylight could be improving itself in all facets in the technical and mechanical level; either revamping or introducing mechanics that make the quality of life in the game significantly better. The only reason that it's not happening any time sooner is simply because of the fact that the developers do not want to listen, and do not want to implement changes that have been in other games f11 comments 131 views last activity

The Raccoon City Police Station, one of Dead by Daylight's most controversial additions in a long time and one that has faced the ire of many fans both Survivor and Killer alike. Well, I want to propose a series of changes to the map that would make it more pleasant for both the Survivor and the Killer to navigate while keeping the overall structure of the station itself intact. So, today I learned that Myers' Tombstone Grab can also get validated by the servers, which means that it runs into the same issue as window or pallet grabs, but unlike them: The grab itself doesn't lead into an M1 at all, which fortunately for me means I can still do the Mori if it fails. Both of the players actually pause when it happens, not just Myers. Methinks the hit validation system1 comments 51 views last activity

Hex: Ruin is one of the most popular Killer perks, and one of the most controversial ones, for a multitude of reasons. Its ability to regress generator progress at an equivalent rate of 1 Survivor repairing it makes it a real must for Killers to utilize, especially with the Hex Perk known as Undying. This can often times lead to very cheesy and undeserved strategies popping up for both the Surviv0 comments 51 views last activity

This mechanic and change is inspired by the extremely cheesy and all-too-effective way to just disconnect last second and let the last person get the Hatch. In order to prevent this, but to ensure that there's still a chance of getting Hatch even if a person disconnects, the following measures are taken. When a Survivor disconnects and there are at least two other Survivors left in the game, th1 comments 21 views last activity

The PTB, something that should be used to get players to test and give feedback on extremely recent versions of the game that are near-completion. However, the PTB has too many flaws to ignore and if the development team were to at least listen to this, please, change the PTB so that it isn't a slog for testing changes to existing mechanics, or introducing new mechanics or even characters. Leon S. Kennedy is known as a rather selfless person to those he wants to protect; you see this with the likes of Ada, Claire, Sherry, Ashley, Helena and so many other people. He wants to save others, even at the cost of possibly his own life, and this is why his perks in Dead by Daylight don't fit him. If you think about it, out of all three of his perks, one of them is actually thematically so0 comments 31 views last activity

Hex Totems have been in the game ever since the release of The Hag, and ever since then, all of them have caused quite a stir, especially as of late since The Blight brought in Hex: Undying. But maybe these Hex Perks need to change again. While a lot of them are in a good spot, many of them either have too much value or too little value when applied, so, this list of changes for the Hex Totems w5 comments 101 views last activity

Just one more time, developers. Give Trickster these changes, and I think that he'll be in the perfect spot as a Killer. Just slap this up, make a PTB out of it and see if the players actually like it. If you're really reading these forum threads, read through this at least. Currently the strongest Survivor mechanic in the game, healing is something that needs to be looked at from both a gameplay perspective and a functionality perspective. It needs to be toned down and rebalanced so that it's not too powerful to solo heal, and that there is less cheese in regards to healing another Survivor. So, here's what I would implement quickly in order to make healing a lot m3 comments 42 views last activity

In many video games, there's a subtle mechanic that not a lot of people tend to notice unless or even acknowledge, but is a very good mechanic for player-on-player interaction. This mechanic is known by many names, but for this thread, I'll call it Pushback . Pushback is a mechanic where a character will move another character in another direction or around them. Considering the fact that we're going to be seeing the Stranger Things chapter leave Dead by Daylight, as well as the fact that the perks are more than likely going to be renamed (for some odd reason), this leaves a lot of room to change all of the perks' names, and one such perk is Demogorgon's Surge . What will it take to convince you to patch the game so that out-of-game filters--stretched resolution and Nvidia filters to name a couple--can no longer be used in Dead by Daylight? I've been seeing around that the base Bloodpoint cap has been removed. Whether or not this is a bug or a new feature, I'm going to say one thing that might be a point of contention: This change is good for the game, whether or not this is a bug. Removing the earnings cap would be the single best thing for the progression of this game and if it's "fixed", should there actually be a bug about it,7 comments 4,121 views last activity

There was very little incentive for me to buy the paragraph as it currently was when I played it on the PTB, but hey, people had fun with the voice lines in the game and it looked like some things could be easily fixed. Rocks, the ultimate looping tool in Dead by Daylight. An unintended feature most people would enjoy for the humorous interactions between Survivors and Killers, and some would find very interesting for potential looping plays. Imagine, if you will, two scenarios: As the Killer, you ended up getting a very quick four kills on all of those Survivors, punished their mistakes and played as optimally as you could, finishing the match up in roughly around two minutes. Since I want to really just get to 200 posts as fast as I possibly can at this point, just to give everyone a special treat on 200, I'll be going through a few things that I believe should be put into the game to really just better its health and give it balance. For every 60/45/30 seconds a Hex Totem is currently not being cleansed, the Totem will relocate to a different, random part of the map entirely. Take a moment to yourself and look at the objective truth of the matter. Do you really want to buy the upcoming Chapter for Dead by Daylight, which only contains the character of Pinhead? The title says it all; I'm going to exploit it by playing significantly worse so I can actually keep the fun matches and not have to go into the so-called "balanced" matches that people decide to sweat in so hard that I'm drowning in it. "Slightly, moderately, considerably, tremendously." These vague descriptors have been plaguing most add-ons in the game since release and are probably one of the single worst game design decisions in the game. With there being so many maps within this game, there's bound to be some secrets that we've yet to discover or find out about. One of the more hotly talked about things among this community is the subject of tunneling and how Killers can just tunnel one survivor and it be very effective. To put this short, sweet and to the point, I'll go over each major change that's happening: Skill-based matchmaking is coming to live in patch 5.2.0, much to the chagrin of many of the community. Dead Hard, the perk that will more than likely put you Exhausted on Ground because you decided to run it. Over the course of the past couple of months, I've been a rather harsh critic of the character design of Nemesis. I did and do still think that he is the single most uninspired and boring Killer to ever come into Dead by Daylight and that his power is utterly weak. There are many ways to disconnect from a trial; going offline, exiting the match normally, using End Task to prevent yourself from playing against those sweaty Survivors that just ran a Haddonfield Offering. There's also a Disconnect Penalty system for players who repeatedly disconnect from the game during a match. And it got me thinking: Why are the developers doing the bare minimum?
