  • Warning this is just a Pet Peeve of mine concerning the Tricksters Power Mechanics. Newton's 3rd Law states: For every action, there is an equal and Opposite Reaction. I guess they took that literally when designing how Trickster throws knives as they've given him Recoil for every knife thrown, but therein lies a heavy Flaw: When a Gun goes off, the force of the explosion and the ejecting proj

  • I'm still doing better in matches either avoiding using his power altogether, or using it only in Niche situations... save for 1 add-on combo. Overall my impression of him being the weakest killer hasn't changed since the killers Unique power is supposed to give them an advantage, but Tricksters power, even the "Main Event" side of it, are mostly hinderances when compared to just running up and

  • Just some Ideas I've had while I was coming up with a Miner killer concept, but I figured that since the concept wasn't really going anywhere, the perks are at least decent and could be used by the devs for an upcoming killer. Plus, with everyone complaining about camping, tunneling, and slugging recently, I thought some people might get a chuckle out of them. Camp Light: Knowledge of your

  • There's one UI change I, and I believe many others have been wanting that was only emphasized when they updated the game so that killers can no longer switch character in the lobby: Perk Loadout Slots. I'm not the kind of killer player who dodges lobbies, as I try to take up everything the survivors bring in as a challenge worth meeting, but before the MMR test, killers could see what the surv

  • To be fair... Most of the other killers chasing survivors are too tall to really appreciate the detail the devs put into them. With Blight's PoV though, I have discovered a new appreciation for Survivors: I literally feel like Jane's booty is close to engulfing my whole head right before I give it a hardy slap, Feng's cute little derriere defiantly bouncing in my face is just begging for a good

  • I know the Blight Serum add-on was kinda your baby and all, even if a decent amount of killers found it perplexingly useless, but by making it no longer usable/faded out, you could've at the very LEAST done us a solid by bumping it to the back of the line of available add-ons! Now I have a killer with 1 of these wretched things left, and every time I want to use my favorite yellow add-on for them

  • Ok, so first here's the list of unbiased "rules" I follow: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/163010/for-the-new-players (View the actual post, the preview seems screwy for some reason, it's leaving out the last letter of every paragraph, and adding a weird set of letters with odd punctuation near the end) I've always played by these rules, and win or lose, I

  • Bloodlust: For every 15 seconds a killer spends outside of a chase or not attacking survivors, gain 0.2 m/s movement speed boost, and All effects of bloodlust are lost once the killer enters a chase or attacks. Bloodlust is no longer gained if there is only 1 survivor remaining in the trial. This way, bloodlust is repurposed for aiding killers in traversing the map to find survivors, and doesn't

  • Personally I believe the biggest problem with deep wound is that since its original version, it's been rendered toothless. Originally, the deep wounds timer ticked down constantly unless the survivor was in a chase, and it even ticked down when they were mending but would stop at 1 second to keep them from bleeding out. Because of this, the timer was set at 30 seconds for the sake of balance and

  • How it works right now: Hex notification and Cursed status icon is revealed as soon as a survivor receives a skill check. Huntress lullaby is revealed much too easily, survivors typically get a notification in the first 20 seconds of working a gen and go hunt it down without ever having it affect them or their gen progress, because they don't even have to fail the skill check in early game bef

  • I run Brutal Strength on Clown and Pig, and Idk, ever since the update it's felt like survivors are getting more distance when I break pallets with BS. I've been trying to wrap my head around it for a while, but I swear it feels like its taking longer to break pallets than it used to. With Clown I always follow up with a bottle before breaking a pallet, so survivors don't get as much distance, bu

  • It wasn't even in the hotfix patch notes! Poor thing, nerfed before anyone could adapt to playing around it. Blights PoV is really low to the ground which keeps him from being able to see over many objects in the world, and 6 seconds of aura reading within 16 meters was a nice way of dealing with that fact, but changing it to 3 seconds barely gives enou

  • 2 of them are "Okay," if a bit situational, but the other 2 are pretty much useless. I'm talking about: Rust-Colored Egg: Survivors affected by Rites of Judgement suffer from the Blindness Status Effect for 60 seconds . and Crimson Ceremony Book: Injured Survivors affected by Torment suffer from the Hemorrhage Status Effect . Blindness, as it is currently, is a fairly useless Stat

  • Did I miss a message from the devs about removing them? Is this an intentional test to try and prove that the DC penalty system wasn't needed? Is this a bug? Whatever the reason, it couldn't have happened at a worse time... I mean I know everyone's getting plenty of BP right now, win or lose, but I noticed the DC's are increasing and it's starting to ruin the event for me, especially today so

  • Due to the new Silent Hill Chapter release, we are getting an influx of new players, and so I must say: First of All Welcome to Dead by Daylight, and I hope you are all having fun so far. That being said, you are likely to see a whole lot of forum posts, and/or chat messages citing "Made up Rules" Killers and Survivors should follow. Most, if not all of these are based on individual experien

  • There's such a shocking difference in the usefulness of the perks between the killer and the survivor this time: Soul Guard - 8 seconds of MoM/BT style hit protection anytime you are healed or recover from the dying state + if the killer brought in a hex, you can pull a no mither/unbreakable style self recovery after being downed, as many times as is allowed by the killer, for as long as the hex

  • A double BP week or 2 wherein Players who play as the Plague are given 2x BP rewards for killing survivors, and Survivors are given 2x BP for escaping/surviving against her? Just linking it to the whole Covid-19 situation, and the fact that a lot of players are being forcibly quarantined... It might be fun to play Virus Vs. Humans as a 2x BP event so that we can all laugh at our otherwise sad s

  • After some thorough playtime with him, I believe I've sussed out why I, and likely many others, have found him a frustrating killer to play... Slowdowns. This shows all his different movement speeds and slowdowns, (minus the wipe animation which takes 2 seconds by default): Walking (Reeling w/ Collision) x0.35, 1.54 m/s, 38.5 % Walking (Reeling + Firing) x0.5 ,2.2 m/s, 55 % Reload x0.6,

  • Why is it that when I have Pop Goes the Weasel available, and Activate Surge by downing a survivor, PGTW's timer goes away as if its been used and becomes unavailable? it obviously hasn't been used, and Surge definitely didn't deliver PGTW's effect when it activated, so why is Surge Stealing my ability to damage gens with PGTW? I want to Pair these two perks so I can damage a gen with surge and

  • Back in August I switched from being a Killer to a Survivor main. The goal was that I would play killer for my first 1000 hours, and Survivor for the next 1000, of which I only accomplished 533. When the PTB came out, I was distruaght over the Doctor changes (My favorite killer since his release) since they basically made his Shock Therapy attack useless with the 3 second cooldown. Admittedly, I

  • In the Oni Chapter update, the engine was updated which (as evidenced by every previous engine update) has broken the sound design of the game again. This is primarily noticeable from the killer players who rely heavily on sound for at least 50% of their ability to hunt down survivors. As it currently stands: Survivors footsteps can no longer be heard while in a chase no matter how close they

  • Use only Static Blast to tier up survivors madness, but try not to let them hit T3. then play the game as an M1 killer while taking advantage of your hallucinations. Don't even attempt to use it as a tracking tool until there are only 2 survivors left in the match. Shock therapy is pointless now: If you catch a survivor in the open, you're better off hitting them than shocking. If you have th

I could see blood orbs and knew he was using his Ultra Rare Renjiro's Bloody Glove add-on, so for the first half of the match I avoided them and focused on gens. Then I noticed Piles of blood orbs wherever injured teammates were doing gens or getting healed and I had an epiphany... while healing a teammate and wit

  • DbD is full of perks, some good, some decent, and some... well... bad. If you could improve 1 perk to make it more balanced, more viable, or just better than it's current version... what would it be, and how would you improve it? As an example, I'll start this with 1 perk that I feel deserves this upgrade from its present iteration: Spies From the Shadows: Current: The Crows found in th

  • Add "Survivors can no longer hear when you are traversing the upside down" to the Red Moss add-on. The objective of this add-on is to give the Demogorgon a stealth advantage, despite the facts that he's loud as hell and his stomps can even be heard from 16m away. Do the survivors really need the loud Roar effect as a heads up warning when he is using Red moss? Adding this to the add-on will cr

  • Ok, so, the killer I'm currently working on is a bit... well... She's a Dominatrix. Being that this is an M rated game, I thought that a Femme Fatale Killer would fit well, be menacing, and with the power and perks I've been making for her: totally in line with DbD... the problem is that she's... well sexy-ish. I want to make a killer that expresses another aspect of the Killer pool. So far we ha

  • Every freaking time they update the engine, the sound design gets messed up. The Sound Design has been great since the last couple of patches, but it still took them 2 months to fix the sound issues from the last engine update, and now in the PTB, we're having the worst of the sound problems an engine update has ever presented all over again: If something that makes sound, like a generator or cr

  • Add to it: "Survivors can no longer hear when you're traversing the Upside Down" The point of the add-on is to give the Demogorgon more jump-scare potential after exiting a portal, But survivors have already learned that when they hear the Demogorgon's loud roar as he traverses from portal to portal, they should leave their generators and hide until they are sure that he didn't come to their a

  • Other than reviving a downed teammate , Survivors can't perform healing actions when against the Plague, but they have insta-heal fountains available at any time. That said, they also don't like cleansing at those fountains because it gives her ranged damage. Taking this into consideration, I decided to try out this build today: Dying Light, Pop Goes the Weasel, Thanatophobia, Surge. And now

  • The wiki is a bit lackluster in the stuff I really want to know regarding GF, so I'm wondering if anyone can answer these questions for me: GF's Movement Speed is 3.6 m/s when crouched, but what about when stalking? GF Stalking Movement Speed is increased with Headline Cut outs (C), Olsen's Journal (UC), and Olsen's Wallet (R) add-on's, but how much, numbers wise, do they increase his MS? GF

  • As in its actually 1 survivor with 3 perks that has the other survivor as an alternative skin, or are they actually adding 6 perks for 2 complete survivors? Inquiring minds want to know, but I'm speculating they're gonna "legion" it. If not, then I really hope the Bloodweb grind reduction changes they mentioned in the Dev Update will come out with the next chapter.

  • When I started playing this game, I told myself I would exclusively play 1 role for 1000 hours to master it, and then trade to the other role for the next 1000 hours. After some simple trial runs in the beginning, I decided to take the more difficult role of Killer, but now I'm at 990 hours in the game, and I will soon be changing over to Survivor. During my Killer campaign, I've mostly been spen

  • Two things for the snares need adjustment to give them viability: The snares need at base a greater slowdown effect than their current one. For Clowns bottles the base 15% slowdown makes perfect sense because the AoE is much larger for them and so is the lasting effect after the survivors leave the gas cloud. The snares on the other hand have a 1 meter area of effect, don't affect survivors

  • I had no Idea that you made did it for the killers as well. Killers didn't need their costumes lighter, because the only characters that used dark costumes to blend into the environment were the survivors. Killers have a bright red light beacon emanating from their heads, and aren't even trying to hide anywhere (save for GF), as they are constantly moving around trying to find survivors. I check

Some have been understandable, but others have been questionable or have rendered the add-on's practically useless to a Legion player. I REALLY WANT to enjoy the blood hunt next week, but am convinced that the enjoyment will be marred by an increased amount of DC'ers who won't bother to "stick it out" for the blood point gains alone, and fallback on their toxic habit. Its effect is completely negated by SWF teams on voice comms. 2. it only affects the survivor(s) struck by it, and not the rest of their team. 3. Ergo, if you show no respect, don't expect any. 3 - The Killers role is to kill, the Survivors is to survive... Both by any means necessary. Hate the game, not the pla
