The survivor one that basically requires you to deliberately throw the game is silly, as is the one that requires you to hit people after getting stunned...5 games in and I've get to manage it once (going to have to throw on Spirit Fury and run a Game offering instead of a pudding, urgh). I don't mind if they are a bit grindy, but these are just frustrating.9 comments 241 views last activity

Man, it's been a rough one. First game - promising. Played normally, but it was clear that people wanted to get some BP, so I relaxed after killing one, (9 hooks), we farmed a little and I let them go. The rest...oh man. One more was decent, but I had to sweat a bit and fortunately was on a killer I'm pretty comfortable on. Very pretty, very festive, plenty of BP. Some of the challenges are a bit...ugh, but we'll see. A few questions though: Occasionally I'll be roaming the map and hear a faint 'sweeem' sound. No idea what it is. Do the cakes/trifles/puddings stack with BBQ additively or multiplicatively?2 comments 31 views last activity

Smurfing in this context means 'deliberately AFKing out a lot of games to stomp newbies'. A handful of nameless people have become semi notorious for doing this. While everyone has the occasional butt-queue moment, or goes AFK for some reason - or, hell, maybe got ridiculously (un)lucky and pushed their MMR into the stratosphere by beating someone they had no right facing in the first place, and23 comments 531 views last activity

I've got 3, and really enjoy them all. Battle Dredge: Make Your Choice - Hypermobility makes this perk genuinely scary. Pain Resonance - To give me more room to fight, and he does really well with any sort of info. Floods of Rage - Dredge lives and dies by info. Devour Hope - He's decent at protecting totems, and instadown Dredge is a force to be reckoned with. Swamp Dredge: Plaything -0 comments 51 views last activity

The Dredge is mostly made out of hands. And looks like Cucumber the Conquerer. It's raining in Midwich. You can hear the ticking of the mechanism in the RPD 'emblem' lion. A certain car in the Autohaven maps will play the sound of someone pounding on the trunk from the inside. The RE 'safe room' music plays in RPD, near the typewriter on the second floor.29 comments 361 views last activity

He's pretty crap at getting BP. Really struggle to max deviousness, especially if the survivors aren't locking lockers. Is there some trick to him?10 comments 211 views last activity

Despite the very, very annoying little exploit that survivors can do to force you to DC, this killer may be the most fun I've had since...Artist, maybe. Mobility - fantastic. Takes a while to get used to, but this is how you make a killer decent without powerful anti loop. The amount of little tricks you can do, and ambushing survivors inside or entering lockers is the funniest thing I've don22 comments 541 views last activity

Decided to come back today and play around with Dredge while I wait for the event to start on Thursday. Stuck my 2mil and change after the reset into him, and then spent a while grinding up BP - finally unlocked the loadout I wanted on Dredge. Awesome, let's go! Now - without going into details, there's a way to permanently trap the Dredge in a locker. And out of the five games I've played on5 comments 181 views last activity

Okay, no more Dredge for now, last two games have had people do this. Basically - if you teleport to a locker with a survivor inside, and they DC - you'll be stuck forever in the locker.0 comments 82 views last activity

I play on an OLED screen, so there is a lot of contrast between light and dark, but oh man - never seen anything like this since the days of old Gideon. I can barely make out the floor and walls, let alone the pair of Blendettes hiding in a corner.2 comments 41 views last activity

Seriously, so many of these threads. Really don't get it. From my side, I started under ranks and it was miserable. Joined right before the monthly reset; chaos - a few games in and I was facing people with thousands of hours of experience, as a brand new killer. It got worse as the month progressed, as after a few weeks I'd eventually lucked my way into purple ranks. I still have some of the p61 comments 1,241 views last activity

Do you ease up slightly and let them do a couple of gens, and earn some BP/grade points before finishing them off? (What I do). Do you just smash them to get to the next game faster? Farm?34 comments 431 views last activity

It's...weird to me. He's not a strong killer (Huntress and Slinger are way scarier). About all I can think of is that Tricksters are often insanely toxic - but that's way more true of Bubbas and Doctors. Is there something I'm missing?53 comments 1,041 views last activity

From what I've seen over the past while - the only tricky ones were Spirit and Cenobite, who can range all the way up to 'A'.29 comments 1,211 views last activity

Queue up - both myself and the killer brings streamers. It's a very solid Nurse, with a full set of meta perks and great addons. Slugs and tunnels hard, gets everyone dead at 4 gens. They get 15k BP, we all get around 9-10k BP. It's just odd to me - when I play killer, if I bring streamers I'm going to ease off a bit once I have control of the game - let people heal up, maybe finish a gen or27 comments 411 views last activity

Yeah, just need to vent. These days, I play survivor in the morning before work, and killer in the evening after I get dinner ready and finish up the chores. Last night, killer. Decide to marathon Ghostface, as I had a metric ton of streamers on him. Well, 7. Game 1: 2 DCs, right as I'm picking my first down up. No idea why - long chase, 2 gens done. Game 2: Down a Nea at a gen fairly early,22 comments 541 views last activity

I...don't get it. I see a ton at my likely crappy MMR, and I see it a ton when I watch people stream at ultra high MMR. To my mind, it's generally a waste unless you're a Legion or a Plague. I'd prefer to use that slot for either extra info or extra lethality.34 comments 731 views last activity

With the upcoming deep reworks to much of the game, I thought I'd throw my proverbial hat into the ring with a couple of simple suggestions that would improve the game massively for both sides. A 'Bravery' Bonus. Right now, as things stand - it's easy to get into a situation as a survivor where you can't do anything to earn BP/grade points, such as getting camped or slugged. However, the only r12 comments 161 views last activity

So...not 'Candyman' or 'a Xenomorph'. I'm talking more at a mechanical/design level. I'd like: A summoner of some sort. Perhaps a big, slow 'hive' creature and little underlings that seek out survivors for you. A super sneaky killer (giant spider) that drops on survivors from above. Maybe something that can possess survivors and attack their allies.13 comments 141 views last activity

Yesterday was bad. Today is bizarre . It almost feels like someone has found a way to bypass the DC penalty - because of my last 6 games, 4 have had 2+ DCs. I don't tunnel. I don't camp. I don't slug. And yet, it seems that, whether I'm bringing streamers or pudding - people will just DC the second they go down. It feels like those weird periods when the DC penalty was disabled. So, I played 29 matches today on killer (tried for 30, but ran out of time), trying to take advantage of the BP event. I alternated between Demo, Spirit, Artist, Hag, Trickster and Doctor. Maybe there's something in the water...but wow. 14 of those 29 games had a DC on the first down. 19 of those 29 games had a DC at some point of the match 5 games had someone AFK from the start, or give up12 comments 371 views last activity

First game of the Blood Hunt. Decide to bring streamers for everyone. Okay, this should be fun! Jump into the game. Immediately have a Meg run into me. She teabags, I down her, pick her up and she DCs. Within 3 seconds, the Claudette and Mikaela also DC. Postgame: 'lul no BP 4 u'. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efHCdKb5UWc EDIT: Game 3. Now that I'm sort of addicted to changing my killer after every match, I've realized that some just get...lost in the shuffle. Or ignored for other reasons. Plague - I have no idea why, because I love playing as her. But I seldom go 'oh, know what I feel like next? Some Plague!'. Onryo - Now that people know how to handle her, she's become - in my opinion - among the weakest killers in the gam32 comments 281 views last activity

About to throw in the towel on that one, as this is making me actively hate this game. Literally, stuck at Silver IV for the past two days. Here's how my morning went. Started off with 2 pips from last night. Game 1: Facecamping Insidious Bubba. Did 2 and a bit gens, 3 of us got out - but with no healing and no chases, I depipped. Game 2: The same Insidious Bubba. Excluding the aforementioned status icons. Survivors can see each other's perks in pregame. Yes, there is a pregame chat, but nobody reads it and there are frequently language barriers. While hooked or slugged, you gain partial credit/rank/BP for any healing or generators worked on. This will at least somewhat discourage suiciding, as there is a tangible, personal benefit to hanging in there -58 comments 563 views last activity

As in - the survivor that makes you go 'oh damn, this one is going to be good' or 'oh damn, this one is going to be a toxic little ringpiece'? For me: Aces tend to be good and toxic as all hell, the worst of both worlds. Ditto any Dwight in that silly jester outfit, or Scoops Steve. Ash tends to be a sulker, and will play hide and seek to drag the game out. Nancy tends to DC a lot.17 comments 211 views last activity

Since the recent fix, I'll frequently see the wrong 'count' of hooks for survivors, when I'm playing killer - generally someone who appears to be on their second state dying when I hook them.0 comments 11 views last activity

As this is potentially a 'once in a lifetime' iron-is-hot moment, where this game is going to change at a fundamental level, alongside the sweeping perk/meta changes - what changes do you want to see to the base game? For me: Killer Changes 1. Killer powers cannot be used within a certain radius of hooks. This is already the case for Artist, and it would help deal with facecamping while proxy28 comments 331 views last activity

Yes, white glyphs are awful and there are a fair few annoying gimmicks this time around (Dead Clever...argh) but I can't think of any other recent archive challenge that I've loathed to the level that I loathe this one. For those who generally ignore survivor challenges, this requires you to get hooked, then unhook the person who unhooked you. Multiple times. Sounds fine, right? From a recent thread, about DS and BT being nerfed. "All I can say for now is hang tight. Not only have we not announced the extent of the perk changes, but we're preparing base game changes to go along with these meta changes. We are not forgetting about the reasons why the meta perks are meta." ~Peanits Huh. Base game changes. That sounds...interesting.74 comments 5,861 views last activity

I've got about 70 hours on survivor and have lost maybe 15 of my last 20 games. The other survivors were an evidently new console player, a 120 hour survivor and a 600 hour survivor. The Nurse had something like 4500 hours. I'm not sure if this was a backfill situation or someone with a deliberately tanked MMR, but it was a particularly unfun game - we7 comments 81 views last activity

I'm a longtime 'pure' killer main who only recently started seriously trying to learn survivor, 700 odd hours in. Now, about 60 hours into survivor, I'm starting to get a good feel for loops, spawns, vaults and the like - but there's one trick I just don't understand. I think people call it 'spinning' - just as I'm about to hit someone, they drop out of sight and run in a circle, often getting13 comments 422 views last activity

His addons got a small buff (he's still got a lot of terrible ones) but the changes to his Reveal mechanic make it way harder to keep your power up. The 'extra window' for revealing means that frequently I'll start to get revealed, immediately duck into cover and thanks to latency, I get revealed - when before the change I would have stayed concealed. Just watched his new video regarding Legion - TL:DR, he's trying to help people understand how to play against Legion so that they don't get the 'to the ground!' treatment Wraith did, after the short but glorious period where Wraith was actually a mid tier killer. After playing and playing against Legion a bit recently...yup. I'm worried too. It's one thing adding in a powerful new killer (Artis66 comments 1,551 views last activity

So yeah. Like most people, I really loathe facecampers - but I was chatting with someone postgame and I must say...I actually agreed with him. While I generally don't camp unless someone manages to get my goat, I will camp during the End of Game Collapse or when the gates are being opened, if I haven't managed to secure a kill. That said - survivors should care more about the endgame. I see it11 comments 161 views last activity

I wonder if a streamer has suddenly popularized this, but wow is it annoying as hell to face. Basically, someone runs knockout and complimentary perks, and just never hooks anyone - slugging them and relying on knockout to make them really difficult to find quickly, with the goal being to just kill everyone slowly via bleed. It's...actually quite difficult to go against if you get certain maps.14 comments 241 views last activity

So got my Iri 1 on killer, time to do some survivor. I wonder how many others have noticed this. 6am: Yay, instant queues! 3pm: Queues are still zippy. 6pm: Instant killer queues, but my survivor queues are taking a while. There seems to be a correlation between how long survivor queues are with active player numbers - the more people online, the longer my survivor queues are (and correspon8 comments 131 views last activity

Curious as to your total playtime. How many hours do you have /played? Do you primarily play survivor, killer or both? I've got 792 hours, probably a 90/10% split favoring Killer.44 comments 291 views last activity

Yay, rank reset day - finally back to killer and man does it feel good to be on my favorite role again. Just had a bit of an odd match on Sadako - after the game (a solid 3k) one of the survivors typed: 'GG, wow, first Sadako in a while' To which another responded: 'Yeah, I haven't seen a Sadako in weeks!' Interesting. I must say, while learning survivor I only saw about 3.33 comments 661 views last activity
