  • Team had a suicider, so I got them to their death hooks and let them do two gens (flan game, if I recall). Although, I was also going to have my fun. Be vewwy vewwy quiet... Claudette got the invisible car she wanted for Christmas. Seriously though, no idea how this happened, but she was stuck flying around like this for a good while.

  • On killer, I have a massive soft spot for Spirit Fury. It seldom does much, but when it does it's hilarious. It's also awful, but I have a ton of fun with Dark Devotion (seriously, can't this apply to more survivors?). There are few things scarier than an undetectable Wesker speeding down the halls of Midwich... On survivor, it's...not terrible, but WoO has never left my bars since I started

  • I'd say that BHVR have an interest pattern for a bit, usually with 2 good killers, then a bad or mediocre one. Cenobite - decent. Artist - amazing. Onryo - awful Dredge - Brilliant Wesker - Best licensed killer to date Knight - Ugh. While he wasn't unplayable on release, he's...just bad? Nice visual design, but his kit feels clunky and pretty useless under the current meta, unless you're g

  • Okay, no idea what's going on here. I took some screenshots but none came out especially good for demonstrating what I'm talking about. I'll link them if people want to see. Pretty scary 3man SWF with around 7k hours between them (early mornings man) send me to Badham with an offering to spawn basement in main building. 'Okay then', I say to myself. 'Let's go in hard and teach them a lesson' -

  • Not sure if it's me or the killer, but it's just not gelling. Have been at it a week now and while I can win against weaker teams, that's true of pretty much any killer I play. If I'm up against potatoes who will run into guards or something, that's one thing. But against a 4man who sends me to Eyrie or Badham, I'd...honestly do better on literally any other killer. Including Trapper. Just get

  • Can be big, can be small - but the goal is to make the game as much better as possible for as many people. Get rid of hook grabs completely. Another meta shakeup, aimed at improving more 'never used' perks, killers and addons. Rework Nurse (and possibly Blight) to be a bit less oppressive at the higher end, but a bit easier to learn at the lower end

  • Because, yeah - this one is grinding my grapes at present. Queue up on Doctor (hate the daily, not the killer) and get a quick down. Don't hang around hook, run into a Nea and she makes a mistake, wastes her BL running into a wall and DCs. I say 'fine', as I brought a flan and let everyone farm for a bit before the Nea walked up to me, got hooked and Dwight got hatch. Postgame, Nea complains at

  • I'd say that, even now, maybe 20-30% of my survivor games are against this guy. Not sure why. Is it because he's decently strong and also iconic? Is it because he's a really well designed killer (the first licensed killer in memory that wasn't janky, weak or janky and weak)? Or am I just (un)lucky in terms of who I'm facing?

  • Have been beavering away trying to learn this guy and I just don't get it. Guards are a fun idea, but summoning them is highly telegraphed and even if people get seen, they very rarely catch anyone. About the only consistent use I've found is popping one out over a downed survivor to make saves harder. Is there something I'm missing, because - while I love his concept and aesthetic - he feels

  • As in - you really just need a fun game, whether that means an easy win or just a killer you like mechanically. For me: Hag. Whenever I get tired of her, I give it a few days and I'm back on her. She was my first proper main and, by playing her as a non camping 'roaming' Hag, I have a ton of fun. Plus, she's one of a few killers that can actually scare people. Dredge. Just...love this thing. • Am I taking crazy pills here - because second time tonight someone decided to throw a sulk and hide in a snowman from almost word one. Never once got crows - took me all of 20 minutes to finally find her and her friend (who started doing similar). Anyone else seen this, or was she avoiding it some other way? EDIT: Now that I think about it, it might be that leaving and entering a snowman clears

  • The one that requires you to hit a survivor after teleporting can not be progressed. This was bugged a while back, then fixed, but now it's bugged again.

  • Title. Last night, 50-100% killer, 20 second queues. Today, getting long queues on killer, but there's no incentive on survivor. Is my area just really balanced right now?

  • If you really want to bring the snowmen back (ugh), please make sure that they work properly this time. That means: They don't instantly remove Ghostface's mark Victor can actually break them They cannot block instadown/exposed attacks I know some people find these fun, but they shouldn't be able to completely counter entire killer kits.

  • So, pull up a chair/beanbag/stool/comfortable piece of floor. It's storytime. Had some really good SWFs today, but one in particular stayed with me. This lot were a weird, Resident Evil themed group, all anonymous, who sent me to The Game. On Ghostface (blaaah). Get my first down almost immediately, as I catch Ada on a gen and stalk her to max. Actually, I'm nailing them - easy stalks, gettin

  • I still really, really like this game but I'm finding it harder and harder to log on right now - and if it wasn't for that bonkers Artist skin, I'd probably be taking a hiatus. Why? Well, probably the major reasons are: Ragequits. I'm about the nicest killer you'll meet. I don't camp, I try not to tunnel and I generally at least give hatch or gate to the final survivor, unless they've been BM.

  • Freddy. Pig's doing okay now, Onryo is coasting on a gimmick that will almost certainly get nerfed (rendering her bottom tier), Dredge and Wesker have some insane addons, Plague is a monster at high MMRs, Cenobite can snowball, Oni is great with a massive skill cap etc. Freddy though... This guy is insane versus solos and solid at high MMRs and I don't get why. He's one of my 'easy' killers t

  • Having to turn things in (which is super easy to disrupt as killer, even unintentionally) plus losing part of it if you get downed...woof. Trying to play 'nice' right now and let folks turn in when they can, but this is as annoying for survivors as the damn snowmen were for killers.

  • So, right now, whether you play killer or survivor you've probably noticed that...maybe half your games have someone straight up cable-pulling, suiciding or just going AFK in a locker the second the game starts going south. It's really bloody annoying and is probably substantially distorting kill rates overall. This means the killer gets less BP/emblem points and the survivors now have to play o

  • Overall, I think it's a positive change. However, there are three scenarios that are worrying. Twins unfortunately revolves around slugging, and if Victor gets a down on the other side of a big map, it's entirely possible that people will be able to pick themselves up before Charlotte can get there. Sometimes, there's a back-and-forth fight over a down, generally where a pallet is involved.

  • See, here's the thing. BHVR wanted kill rates higher. That might be a bit too high, but I guess this was aimed at the killer/SWF matchup. Solos need help, but that's a different discussion. The problem I want to address is survivor rewards and scoring, which seem to be designed around the old '50%' paradigm. In a nutshell, survivor 'pipping' is based heavily off escaping. One you start hit

  • Let's...never do that again. (For those that weren't around, think a seasonal event that could give survivors an extra health state, and bug out several killers' powers completely). Anyone got anything else?

  • I'm...actually struggling on this one. This game unfortunately cannot be balanced around solos - otherwise SWFs just roll killers. However, I think the common opinion is that solos should, instead, be given some love to help bring them closer to SWFs. The problem is - I can't really imagine how. The status icons? I don't know if that would really do all that much. Voicechat? Ahahaha. Stuff l

  • Title. Basically - the killers that you enjoy playing most. What are their flaws/irritations? I used to main Hag, then Demo, then a few others but now I basically rotate through several killers. Dredge. Just...so much fun, in every way. He'd likely be my #1, but I hate his visual design. Cucumber the Conqueror - too silly. Artist. Infinite skillcap, can always do something better. Love her v

  • I like the idea as a potential camping discouragement, but...I'm really not a fan of this being tied to a paid DLC. I'd rather see it be introduced as a general perk, giving people access to it without spending money, and add a new perk for the DLC. Thoughts?

  • I'm mostly a fan of the balance rework, with a few exceptions (SC didn't need a nerf, DS should be 5 seconds, Nurse now desperately needs a look). However, my #1 annoyance on survivor isn't perks or balance related - it's tied to how much easier it is to earn BP and 'pip' on killer. As a survivor, pipping feels, far too often, like it depends on which killer I'm facing and how they play. For

  • Not seeing these on the patch notes - but the devs mentioned, as last I read, that they would finally be implemented here. Did I miss something?

  • So, from the top: Thana - good change. A bit unneeded, as Thana is honestly more of a psychological perk than an effective one. It'll still be great for Plague and Legion and will likely still be complained about endlessly. Mettle Of Man - Huh. This is now an interesting perk. I have no idea whether it'll be good, bad or something in between. Curious to see how it plays out. Pain Resonance/Dea

  • While there are a few things that probably need to be tweaked (put DS back to 5 seconds, Nurse needs a look), the major argument seems to boil down to 'I'm not escaping as much as I was'. That...is the point of the patch. BHVR has access to data we don't. According to them, kill rates weren't high enough. They thus adjusted them by buffing killers. Naturally, you won't be escaping as much as

  • So...as predicted, it's taking a bit of time for people to adjust to the new changes - yeah, I get it, it never feels good to be nerfed, especially when some of those nerfs are more than a little silly (cries in Wraith). That said, there are a few unintended consequences and a handful of things that need a look. Nurse and Blight (but...mostly Nurse) need to be tweaked. This doesn't need to be

  • This famous little puzzler really encapsulates the problem of modern DbD balance wise. Essentially, you are a farmer and have to get a chicken, a fox and a bag of corn over the river - but can only carry one thing with him in the boat. If the chicken and the corn are left unsupervised on either end, the corn is eaten. Ditto the fox and chicken. Now, replace 'chicken' with 'solo', 'fox' with 'SW

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXGxbmvuguM&ab_channel=MuratTekmen It's been a lot of fun, and I'll probably poke my head back in for Halloween, but I'm starting to burn out here. I really do enjoy playing killer, as frustrating and stressful (and occasionally demeaning) as the role can be, and the changes upcoming in the overhaul do sound rather positive for the most

  • Could we please have a bit of parity between flans/cakes/pies/whatever BP offering you decide on? Right now, killers get roughly triple the flans. Survivors get a decent toolbox and a meh-kit which dilutes their blood webs. The issue with this is clear - right now, I sit in queue on killer for up to 6 minutes before getting a game that could be anything from 30-100 hour players who I roll over,

  • So, before the 'hunt, a 5 pudding game with BBQ earned me around 260k BP assuming I do well. Now, I'm getting the exact same BP with the hunt active. What's up? Yes, maybe I'm greedy for wanting half a million BP, but it would certainly help me finish off a few killers before the prestige changes.

  • Now - I'm a fan of the changes, as these amount to a solid buff to a lot of M1 or hybrid M1 killers, many of which are struggling right now (Onryo still needs love though). However - they are also going to be a buff to Nurse (and to a lesser extent Blight), which is going to make these two problem killers even more dangerous. The other issue is that these feel like a change made on behalf of SW

  • Just noticed this one, but was too slow to snap a screenshot. It's a reference to 'mines' and has a...very familiar killer in mining gear, wielding a pickaxe. For those who don't know, this is a reference to a very iconic Canadian horror/slasher/splatter film, that wound up gaining notoriety for it's amazingly explicit kills which are...quite something uncensored, even today.

  • Previously, a new player could buy Bubba, get BBQ and then use that to gradually build out their roster. Now, while us longer time players will have the benefits of many perks unlocked via prestige, it's going to take much longer for newer players to fill things out. Or am I missing something obvious here?

  • Okay. I've got Myers completely maxed out - he has all the perks in the game. So I'll have his perks unlocked at T3 for everyone. But let's say I've got Onryo with 2/3 of the perks in the game. Does that give me P1, so level 1 CoB for everyone, or is that enough for p2? P3? Does anyone know the breakpoints on this? Just want to know where to stuff my BP before the changes.

  • Holy cow, but I don't think there's a single change here that I disagree with. Well...maybe a few. Actually, quite a few. Assume that anything I don't mention, I either like or am not concerned about. The biggie, right off the bat, is that the changes aren't going to do much against camping Bubbas and Tricksters, as they can drill through Endurance pretty reliably while also instadowning/rapi

  • So a lot of people seem to like the idea of a killer that can disguise itself to ambush survivors, but BHVR discarded this idea - the primary reason being that this would be useless against SWF. But...what about a 'mimic' killer - able to disguise itself as a chest, a generator or part of the scenery? It would likely be difficult to design, but the image of a group of survivors sitting down to

  • For me: Trickster. Really wasn't a fan of him. Hated facing him, didn't like his visual design (forget franchise, he feels like he's from a different genre of game) and just not a fan of ranged killers in general. That said, he's grown on me and now I play a fair bit of Trickster when I want something different. The only thing I really don't like is how many survivors will instantly give up o

  • Yeah, solo queue can be annoying. People always remember the Claudette that hid for half the match and left someone on their first hook to die against a non camping killer in order to escape. They remember the Dwight that missed the pallet save and got two people hooked. They remember the Ash that missed a skill check and then cable pulled, and the Jake that spent the entire game cleansing dul

  • Just had a...really annoying Trickster game. Had a Leon - downed him fine the first time. From thereon out, the second I'd start chasing him I'd freeze for a second and then he'd basically not be where the game told me he was. Finally managed to down him, but again - simply couldn't locate him. Ping looked like this. No other problems, when he wasn't on

  • Let's list our off meta and slightly off meta perks that we always use, and find work well for us. I'll start. Killer Discordance. This is, in my opinion, the *best* info perk killers have, and if it wasn't for Spinechill, it would be the best info perk in the game. Far too many people neglect info perks that aren't BBQ, and this one is almost as good as LP early game and keeps right on gi

No flans besides mine, instead I get a further hook offering, a map offering and a pair of white wards. Yay, it's probably a SWF. Amazingly sweat
