  • I genuinely thought that Legion was a fun killer. I thought this way because my strategy involves just switching survivors constantly to apply deep wounds to multiple people. Legion let me play killer with as minimal tunnelling as possible, so I thought people would be happy. I had no knowledge of the pure sadistic intent behind some Legion players. Only after watching: https://youtu.be/oExzT4O

  • Okay, here are the perks: Sloppy Butcher - Mangled healing can act like a Pseudo Ruin if survivors try to heal each other. (What we're really here for is the considerably increased bleeding frequency.) Blood Hound - Pools of blood are considerably brighter and last an extra 4 seconds. Nurse's Calling - The Auras of healing survivors are revealed within a 28 meter range. *Choice perk (I went

  • When you play as Michael Myers you can stalk survivors even when in Tier III to move much slower. The Nightmare perk: Remember Me, extends the time it takes to open the exit gate. So by combining the two, theoretically you could create fear through tension by stalking survivors opening a gate affected by Remember Me, that may take up to 50 seconds to actually open. Giving you plenty of time to

  • Thanks to the forum reset, quoting no longer notifies people. You have to @username people otherwise they'll never know. Just another reason the mods should've just jailed the folks using colored fonts and kept this all in html code. (Or whatever it was).

  • The incoming patch 2.6.0 will see a number of perk changes and emblem changes that when combined send a clear message of disapproval that some will say, was long overdue. Patch 2.6.0 will make the lives of players who camp and tunnel a living hell. For starters, the Chaser Emblem penalty for being within close proximity of a hooked survivor has been increased. Even if the developers decide to r

  • Some folks (Emetophobes) are complaining about the Plague and her new vomit power. This just has me wondering, was this exploitation of a niche fear to make horror intentional? If so I'm actually terrified at what eldtritch nightmare the devs will make for the Trypophobia killer. Anyone else have any unique phobias they'd hate to see exploited?

  • As a Plague player during the PTB, I would like to inform everyone that there is a totem spawn next to the Water Tower tile on the MacMillan Estate. When approaching this tile, you may see a small nook formed by crates next to the tower. Inside that nook, is an evil totem spawn. The more you know.

  • From my personal experience it would seem that Calm Spirit DOES in fact affect the noise notifications (vomiting) from the Plague's disease and greatly reduces the volume of your coughing. However, you still are Broken once you enter the final stage of the plague which means you still make injured groans. Also you still vomit, you just don't make notifications for the killer.

  • So all you PC Dead by Daylight players, I need some more surviviors for some KYF testing in the PTB. Is anyone interested?

  • I will try to avoid DC'ing against all killers, but I personally despise the Spirit. Honestly, I'm half tempted to dig up Rin's father and have him finish what he started with her. So, who do you despise as killer? https://www.strawpoll.me/17557309

  • So I've played the Legion at low ranks and I've played the Legion at high ranks and I've realized something. The only real problem with Legion are their add-ons. If the devs made Frank's Mixtape, Stab Wound Study, and Cold Dirt ultra rare add-ons, then Legion would be more balanced. Sure they'd have to make a new set of very rare add-ons to take their place, but I see no harm in that.

  • So it has been made clear that the newest killer "The Plague" has a special status effect. This makes me very eager to see how Vigil effects this new status effect. Does anyone else think that Vigil might be a good perk against the Plague?

  • Thanks to the Plague's new Obsession perk (Dark Devotion) it is possible to give a survivor a Terror radius. This means that if your Obsession is Nea, then you can give a Nea a TR. Personally, I find this funny as heck. What are your thoughts?

  • A user by the name of ::. Ak.21 made a guide that seems to reliably help us locate where the "first" or only hex a killer is using will spawn. If we break these Ruins fast enough, maybe folks will finally get tired of running it? Here is a link to the guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1667445374

  • Perks: Barbecue and Chili Iron Maiden Shadowborn Brutal Strength Add-ons: Pungent Fiale Deerskin Gloves Build Strength: Excels in Chase and point earning. Spends almost no time reloading. Build Weakness: No Whispers makes you weaker to stealth. Larger FOV leaves you open to blinds. Also no Ruin. The inspiration behind this build was simple. I wanted to make a Huntress that has presence.

  • New Killer Perk: Critical Hit Each time you successfully attack a survivor you gain a token. (Grabs do NOT count. Lunges obviously do. Precise Hatchet shots, Chainsaw Strikes, Grudges, Blink Attacks, Ambush Attacks, Phantasm Attacks, and Dream Attacks all give 1 token per successful attack.) Once you get 6/4/2 tokens your next successful attack will instantly consume all tokens and the survivor

  • While playing a match earlier I noticed that Legion can apply the effect of Franklin's Demise to survivors even while in Feral Frenzy. This means that doing a pallet drop and blind may result in damages to your flashlight. Furthermore, since there is a reduced attack cooldown while Feral Frenzy is active, it is very possible to lose not 10, but 20% of your item's durability if you just pick up th

  • I was rolling random wiki pages of the Dead by Daylight wiki when I got sent to the 1.4.0 patch notes. I noticed that in the balance section it was mentioned that hitboxes were changed. Does anyone have any context for that?

  • Does anyone see anything different about it in the brighter light? Perhaps we can catch a glimpse of the map? EDIT: I just learned how to directly up the brightness so I'll add that picture to the bottom.

  • "In a stream show-casing the development of The Spirit, it was mentioned that she cost the developers about 30,000 Dollars to create." I was just going back to the wiki to re-read about all of the killers when this caught my eye. I'm no genius but this high production cost is likely part of the reason why new killers take so long to make.

  • My attitude towards Death Garden was always mixed. Initially, I thought it might kill Dead by Daylight and become the next big asymmetrical horror. Then after playing some demo gameplay, I found that Death Garden might serve as a glorious dumping ground for the toxic bullies of Dead by Daylight as the Runners (Survivors) of Death Garden had many confrontational skills to harass the Hunter (Killer

  • I've been playing a fair amount of killer across most ranks recently and I've noticed that people who play Tapp are absolutely insane. I got flashlight blinded mid-Feral Frenzy pallet vault by one Tapp and another one was a god who somehow dodged all of my window lunges. Is anyone else noticing the sheer power of the Tapp mains or is it just me?

  • If you blind a Legion mid-pallet vault during Frenzy the Frenzy will end during the vault. Then after having quick vaulted the pallet they can lash out with a normal lunge (if they have good headphones) and land the lunge either injuring you or downing you. The More You Know. . .

  • What kind of shoes are the survivors wearing that prevents them from slipping in the mud? If we're being honest here there's no good reason as to why everyone just has amazing traction that prevents them from slipping and sliding everywhere. Then there's the fact that nobody sinks into the mud when they walk slowly or stand still. What's up with this crucial oversight BHVR?!

  • I understand the basics of the situation. However, I fail to see any ethical justification for the disconnections. People commonly complained that when the Spirit was originally released there was a sharp increase in camping and tunneling for a while. However, despite all of the rampant camping and tunneling, the complaints were reasonable and people still played full games. Fast forward to th

  • The perks are: Brutal Strength Iron Maiden Bamboozle Agitation The killer I'd recommend for this build is the Hillbilly. The whole premise of this build is to interacting with the level very quickly. Brutal Strength lets you break pallets 20% faster. Iron Maiden lets you open lockers 50% faster. Bamboozle lets you vault 15% faster. Agitation lets you move 18% faster while carrying a sur

  • I started using Knockout on Huntress for shits and giggles when I realized that it's actually a really good perk for Huntress. Normally, survivors can tell where she is by where the auras of their downed friends are. However, now that they cannot have that ability, folks just see their allies succumbing to the song of the Huntress.

  • I know that folks aren't happy that playing as a survivor can fairly reliably give you more event points than killer, but look at the bright side! Playing as killer or survivor gives you points towards the coins in one single point "moon". This means that we won't have to worry about survivors filling their event progress and then flooding the killer queue like the Hallowed Blight event. I unders

  • How you behave during a match regarding the vessels (as a survivor) is dependent on what survivor type you are. If you are a standard "gen-rushing" survivor I strongly recommend that you leave vessels be until the trial is over. The killer can only break vessels while someone is hooked, or if they hook someone with a vessel in their possession. Since you'll be gen rushing the killer will place

Then you can just scoop them up again. I have no specific killer in mind to d

  • So for some meme survivor gameplay while doing rituals earlier I was playing as Quentin Smith using Pharmacy, Botany Knowledge, Streetwise, and Self-Care and minding my own business. However, once I entered the basement in these games I became trapped for a short duration. There was no killer blocking the entrance, I would just get teleported back to the center upon crossing the threshold of the

  • (Is ganging up on survivors.) I won't lie, I want a two killer mode as much as the next guy. However, we will never see this mode in-game until we can figure out how to prevent two killers from cornering a survivor and insta-downing them via the power of friendship. The biggest problem of a game with two killers would be killers abusing the sheer power of two killers. You could have a friend run

  • This post is not a request for an absurd killer nerf. This post is a merely a query about the status of the community and the game's mechanics and point systems. As a person who used to watch "He who shall not be named" and a person who has played my fair share of the killer role, I am no stranger to how toxic and bitter the community can be. This is especially true for survivors who can use s

  • While playing as Huntress I noticed something, when throwing hatchets at the exit zone (the area where the Entity spikes appear to stop you) you can actually throw hatchets over the barrier. This begs the question: Has anyone managed to hit a survivor with a hunting hatchet AFTER they have escaped?

  • It's not Fallout 5, but it's a fun romp with some friends. Everything works rather well except for some minor bugs. Think of it as Fallout 4 Multiplayer and you'll get just that. I play as "Peasant Garvey" for anyone looking for me. Type (Peasant_2) into the social search bar if you want to find me.

  • This is just a random question, but does anyone carry around afk survivors while they're AFK? I know that when I run Agitation and a survivor is AFK I just pick them up and go on a slugging adventure. What about you guys?

  • I had a much longer post, but it vanished on me. I'll get straight to the point here. People aren't playing survivor because they want more points and they can fall victim to group penalization. Survivors earn 15-20k BP a round normally (if you don't die absurdly early) so this combined with the faster queues might actually be better for points than you think. You can do everything right as sur

  • The new killer will come from the past and is connected to the event. The only person I know who is very old and has anything to do with mysterious serums is Lorenzo Cabot from Fallout 4. Granted, I highly doubt that he's who the new killer is, but I figured I'd just share my two cents.

  • Before we go any further I need to clarify that the title is a combination of "Play with Your Food" and the gender of some of the more powerful killers, these being Nurse, Hag, and Huntress. Now that is out of the way let's get right into the discussion. The Nurse, Hag, and Huntress are all very powerful killers that have powers that are so powerful that they have a movement speed penalty. The

  • I don't know what it is, but as a survivor, there's something entertaining about watching a killer just walk over to a group of survivors that are repairing and just grab one of them and walk away. It's even funnier if no-one flinches and just ignore the sounds of the struggle. What about the rest of you?

Hit target suffers considerably from the Mangled IconStatusEffects mangled.png Status Effect for 120 seconds." ...doe

  • I understand that at first glance that sounds like I just want to rapidly hook and unhook one person just for a faster kill, but that's not actually my goal here. There have been a number of times where I had planned on mori'ing or sparing a survivor after they got saved, but then they never got saved. Additionally, nothing would be more entertaining than seeing a survivor rush a hook with Borrow
