The healing speed is reason enough to run it now to be honest. You get people up REALLY fast, it’s very strong if the killer slugs at all.
-
Let it build up to 5 tokens and it’d be fine IMO.
-
I wouldn’t say survivor is relaxing. But it has peaks and troughs - you’ll be chased, which can be stressful, but then you’ll be rescued and someone else will take the killer’s attention and you can sit there on a gen sipping your beer and reading a text, and you get to relax.
Whereas when you play killer you have to be constantly doing stuff that taxes your brain a bit - you never get that downtime where you can just sit back in your chair and let your mind wander. Unless you’re absolutely wiping the floor with the survivors, in which case you can just sort of go on autopilot and relax.
-
Oh my.
-
Half the people who dramatically post about how they’re quitting don’t actually leave, you see them on the forums or other social media channels discussing the game the next week.
-
Maybe the hatchets are there for some other reason, and Huntress is just the only killer that knows how to / likes to use them.
-
No, I don’t think it’s an exploit. It’s a bit cheesy and probably shouldn’t be in the game but I really wouldn’t care enough to argue with someone about it. It’s one of many reasons why I don’t slug for the 4K.

Why do people feel the need to create their own post about mori's when there are already active ones? Is it a need for attention that makes them create a new one instead of replying to existing ones?
+ Before it is said, I understand the irony of me making a post to complain about the posts :)
Because people come to the forums specifically to make a post, and don’t read the 999 posts about the same topic that came before. Plenty of us are guilty of doing it.

I nearly cried because a really sweet Demogorgon let me get multiple pallet stuns in end game for my challenge, and then dropped me off at the gates. Demo players are always so wholesome. :(

I wish I could say it was a new experience but I’ve been solo queueing for a long time, hahaha. Solo queue never changes. Sometimes I just have to vent about it to avoid going nuts. 😇

I hate to be this guy, but this is the result of no MMR system.
Yup, basically. I had another match and this time got good teammates, but the killer was obviously struggling and gave up halfway through. I just want balanced matches, man. The tense ones where it could go either way, not one-sided stomps.
-
@megswifey said:
I'm all for cleansing totems in case of NOED, but when you have more important stuff to do go do it! Hopefully your next matches aren't so frustrating. I'd take god pallet dropping without a chase over a suicide hook any day
Yeah. I’m not opposed to cleansing dulls when the situation calls for it, but running around the Swamp searching for bones when the killer has hooked multiple people and one gen is done is really not the time.
-
@FogLurker said:
I feel those struggles. 2 days ago I had like 6 out of 8 matches that were deaths due to teammates who were morons that let me go to 2nd stage, open the gates immediately, just escape immediately, I'm the one in chase when the last gen pops, or they're just bad and die extremely early or kill themselves on hook for no reason.
I really wish they hadn’t changed the rank reset system so you only drop one colour. Red ranks are absolutely filled with people who have no idea what they’re doing - and having no idea what you’re doing is fine, but you should be playing with and against others who also have no idea what they’re doing.
I get red rank teammates who will do stuff like run in front of me and accidentally bodyblock me at the exit gate when I’m injured and being chased by the killer. You have to be pretty new at the game to not understand taking a hit for a teammate.
-
@NomiNomad said:
Clown op I guess.
The pain of Solo queue. You missed the part where they have to run to the very corner of the map to heal.
I’d rather they run to a corner to heal at this point tbh, I’m getting teammates who will do even dumber stuff like heal right next to where the killer just hooked someone else and then go down and kill themselves on hook. Like maybe don’t heal in the thick of the killer’s terror radius? Sheesh.

you can't
:(

If they removed the yellow aura, SWF could just tell each other anyway. “Are you on a gen?” “Yeah I’m on the gen in shack” etc. etc.
I guess this would remove some of the information a two man can give about the random teammates but it would also nerf information solos can get about where their teammates are, so I’m opposed to it.
-
This is really really annoying so I understand the frustration. I get denied grabs a lot too and it feels extremely bad. But someone is gonna be mad however they handle grab latency - either the killer gets a hover hand, or the survivor gets grabbed from nothing. Stuff like this (and worse) would happen all the time: https://mobile.twitter.com/No0b3_tv/status/1273395003541221377
This game just wasn’t designed for servers considering how much stuff is so dependent on timing. Stalking, grabs, hitting window vaults, Dead Hard - when a fraction of a second can be the difference between a whiff and a down, the extra latency servers introduced can feel totally game breaking.

now that I've finally reached R1, I'm gonna try really hard not to care about rank anymore and focus on having fun (starting with playing a lot more Twins). I made a lot of killer/perk/map choices these last few matches specifically to optimize my chances of pipping and less to optimize the funs.
You naturally care less about rank the longer you play, I find. Give it a couple of monthly rank resets and some dropping and climbing of ranks and you’ll most likely stop noticing if you even pip most of the time. That’s what happened to me, anyway.
Congrats on rank 1 though! May your matches be fun and your bloodpoints be plentiful. :)
-
My favourite is the Freddys that spam 20 snares around a mindgameable pallet then nod after they down you. Good one.
I only nod at survivors when I’m memeing or giving them mercy/the hatch.
-
One thing I will say is that toxic players are much more likely to try and game the system to get a lower ranked killer. Smurfing, deranking and playing with a brown rank friend are all things they can do (which isn’t to say that all survivors playing with low rank friends are toxic - they’re not).
So you’re probably seeing a higher than average number of these survivors since they’re actively trying to get matched with killers who aren’t experienced, so they can get their sick juke montages for their YouTube.
I don’t see that many toxic survivors these days but I used to see a lot of them when I was newer and at brown/yellow rank.

So if a killer waits out the DS timer, or the survivor doesn't try to DS the survivor keeps the use so they can use it off the next hook?
Yep. Once the perk has been actively used, either by hitting the skillcheck and stunning the killer or by missing the skillcheck, it will never activate again. If neither of those things happen it can be used off second hook.
-
DS will activate off first and second hook if it isn’t used. Either the survivor can not attempt to hit the skillcheck, or the perk timer can run out if they’re not picked up within 60 seconds, in which case it will activate after they’re unhooked a second time.
The idea is that you don’t immediately go for them off first hook, when they have DS and you don’t have the ability to mori them. First hook a couple of survivors. You’re then free to mori them off their second hook with no worry of DS.
-
Not prestiging saves you a decent amount of grind.
There are 78 killer perks in the game, so with all tiers that’s 234 perks to unlock via the bloodweb if you want all perks on a killer. And then you do that for every killer you enjoy.
Of course you don’t have to unlock every perk. You could just unlock the teachables you want, but then you do still have that particular killer’s perks as well as the base perks.
So I guess the grind is what you make it? You could just level up a few killers to get the perks you want and then level up your main, and the grind isn’t too terribly bad in that case. If you like to play multiple killers like me it’s still a pretty hefty grind though.

I found some similar reports about Myers stalk ability with photos etc., but I can't find solution for this. I don't even play as Killer too much, I'm just doing my daily rituals. But my stalk ability do nothing, it's pure M1 killer for me since new DLC release I think.

People who bring them will tunnel off the 1st hook now, as early in the game as possible to drop it to a 3v1. This change is going to have the opposite effect than intended.
People who brought moris already did that.

using a term like 'melodramatic' just makes you seem like a shill to me, and I will ignore you from now on
A shill for what exactly? What am I trying to help sell by disagreeing with you on video game balance changes? Do you even know what a shill is?
You ARE being melodramatic. “Killers will leave the game in droves if they can’t mori off first hook!” Boo hoo. Moris were unbalanced, unfair and unfun and they won’t be missed. If being able to mori off first hook was the only thing keeping you playing the game, then bye.

A lot of killers are gonna go with them, and my queues as survivor were becoming long again already lmfao. They should have implemented AI killers before doing this.
I think you’re being a bit melodramatic to be honest, I don’t see that many killers actually running moris. I also don’t really care if queue times get bad for survivors, as I play both roles I’ll just switch to killer for instant games.
-
You can tunnel off second hook instead of first with no fear of DS, so while it’s weaker, it’s not like it’s totally useless. Being able to get a tunnel kill at a crucial time can be the difference between killing 2 or 3 survivors and killing none.
It’s also now a soft counter to exit gate DS.
-
Moris are stronger than keys so I’m glad they went first.

Exactly. I'm extremely disappointed about keys not being touched though. I can't defend the devs for that.
They’ll change them, it’s just a matter of time. It seems like they prefer to make big balance changes one at a time to see what effect they have on the state of the game. Changing both at once would probably make it difficult to analyse what impact the changes have on escape/kill rates, if any.
I might actually use moris occasionally now. I can do the various challenges, trophies and dailies without having people Alt+F4 on me. 😁
-
I never run moris so I don’t care on a personal level. But thank god they did this out of the blue without announcing it first.
-
Insta down killers (Myers, Billy, Bubba, Oni) and killers that can get downs extremely quickly by using their power (Hag, Nurse, Huntress) can snowball really fast if the survivors don’t save from the basement safely. Plus you can have killers camping or proxy camping for an easy tunnel - Ghostface and Pig can stealth around, Freddy and Demo can teleport from a distance.
It’s not worth using the basement most of the time if you’re a Clown or a Doctor type of killer, or if you don’t intend to guard it. But you don’t need to be able to physically block the stairs for the basement to be dangerous. Like you said, there’s only one way out. That inherently makes it riskier than any other hook save.
-
The lore in this game is poorly written and cringey for the most part, so the ideal solution is for the writers to put in whatever will be the least cliched and cheesy. To be honest this is why I’d rather them not bother at all, it’s not like DBD is known for its quality storytelling.
-
People are gonna be rude whatever you do unfortunately. You can play as nice as humanly possible and you’ll still get insulted by some raging 12 year old. I’d recommend just turning your messages private if you’re getting spammed, and try not to engage with them because nothing productive will come of it. You can’t reason with someone who is reacting on pure emotion.

I'll be the one who won't tag almo, and say that I agree with him. The game doesn't really need a huntress that can have haunted, franklins and sloppy on her hatchets. Even tho, I'll say that there should be some exceptions. For example I think shred should activate everything except exposed effects, same with pigs m2. But adding these would make stbfl really weak.
I think most people would agree that exposed effects shouldn’t work on powers, or you’d get some really wacky stuff like Legion downing everyone with one use of Frenzy.
But perks like Surge or Blood Favour? They already have cooldowns and other limitations built in anyway, so it’s not like you could down three survivors back to back with hatchets and keep regressing the same gen over and over. That’s surely the point of the cooldown, to limit the perk’s power - so then why does it only work with M1s? It wouldn’t be any stronger on a killer that downs with their power than it is on an M1 killer because its power level is already hard capped by its many other requirements.
-
People usually do this when they’re trying to mine for salt, because it’s completely boring to play otherwise, and despite popular belief most people just play this game in a normal way to have fun.
-
Object of Obsession annoys a lot of killers.
DS and Unbreakable together. Or if you have space, DS and Unbreakable and Soul Guard. Or DS, Unbreakable and Dead Hard.
I don’t think there are actually any toxic perks but a build like Object, DS, Unbreakable and Adrenaline with a medkit with a syringe will probably earn you some post-match insults.

I'm more annoyed with the 500 shards. No no, can't give away too much, as if they might run out or something.
I’m surprised since the feedback last week was that the bloodpoint rewards are kind of stingy but the shards were really good. So their response was to... give less shards. I don’t get it.

I’m not breaking any rules or being insulting so I can complain if I feel like it. Thanks for your concern.

Yeah, this is... Really disappointing. I was expecting a jump up to 50k at least but 10k still is just... Pathetic. And, oh neat, a sweater for a Survivor I don't own.
The only thing slightly worth it is the Iri shards. And that's still just barely.
Being realistic, I was expecting 20k since I thought they’d increase it week by week. :( I really like the sweaters and even the charms are okay but the bloodpoints are disappointing. And even the shards are lower this week than last which sucks.

I have a full time job but DBD is a game I enjoy in my spare time, and I have an opinion about the event. How does that mean I don’t do much for a living? It's 10K each day. It adds up over time. This week is 60K, last week was 50K. It was bound to happen that each day's rewards will be small since it's being spread out to an entire month instead of a few days.
Yeah, it’ll add up to less than 300,000 bloodpoints. Definitely worth logging in every day for an amount that will buy you like 6 bloodwebs, lol.
-
@Crowman said:
There's not really a reason to expect much from this event considering that within the blog post about this event they said they are going to put the most focus on future Halloween and Anniversary events.
All the other events including this one will most likely just be some minor rewards each day and some free cosmetics via codes.
The cosmetics are cool and I think people would be happy to just get some shards and BP. But 10k? Really? It’s barely a reward. You can buy three brown items. You would get more BPs by playing one mediocre round of survivor.

Well he kind of needed it, being able to hide traps in grass was just too OP obviously. There’s no counterplay, traps should be visible from halfway across the map or it’s just a Spirit-level guessing game which is unfair.

It's not bannable in fact it's more common on console because only one user on the system has to buy the game and you can create as many users as you want, as long as the name that bought the game is the primary account on the Xbox or PS then anyone can use it , steam users would have to rebuy the game for every name they make
Not true, you can use family sharing (I think that’s what it’s called) to share a game with another Steam account. The base game and all DLCs purchased through Steam will be unlocked.
