This map has an awesome design but the Lags i get whenever i enter a different Room is just Ridiculus. The entity marks are a Nice design but they just Summon the Lags. I already put the Graphics to the Lowest but it is still a DEATH LAG!

Awesome design? Are you from a parallel universe or something?

    1. Ban toxic people. "Toxic" meaning people who do things to purposefully piss off other players.
    2. Zero tolerance policy for racism, homophobia, and so on. You do/say any of these things once, you a hardware ban.

Yes, this may seem extreme, but it'd definitely cut down on the toxicity.

    1. Teabagging and flashlight clicking might piss off many killers (personally i find it unneccessary disrespectful) but how would you ever be able to ban them because of using a button or even an item? Thats silly. On top of that: Pissing off people is subjective. I might be pissed off because of getting camp and tunnel off the hook while others dont mind that too much. Should the killer now be banned because i can not deal with that?
    2. I agree. Maybe not instantly banned but starting off with a warnining and then a 7 day (then 30, then perma) ban would be reasonable.

Dbd is pretty tame compared to other games imo

You really think? I played LoL and other mobas and none of them came close to DbDs toxicness level.

  • Still and always will be: The great skillcheck.

  • I dont really care about winning or loosing neither i define it for me personally.

If i had to define it, then 3-4 K as killer is a win. In contrast, 3-4 survivor escapes would be a win, no matter if i personally escape or not.

  • I think the problem is not that killers are weak which is not the case at all but i still see a big problem with the SBMM. It is really often that matches play very strange, no matter on which side on.

Even during a 4K streak without loosing a single match i run into very skilled 4-man SWF and then 2 games later even with the same killer i go against really really aweful players. Makes no sense to me.

  • For me it seems to be random. I have the same ammount of Fragile Wheeze then other green addons, actually even more right now.

  • @Gamedozer7 said:

You can't down Survivors with it and they can out run you so I don't really see a point to it? I've been trying to level him up because I want his perks and I figured ill play some games as him. So I need some tips or is he just that bad?

    Oh boy.. The Legion.

What a mess of a killer. His basekit is doomed, no matter what they do. He will be either overly annoying / oppressive like the original version or simply a weak and still unfun killer to go against (and also often to play as)

  • I dont think there should be such a thing at the moment. Maybe in the distant future, but for now, they have plenty of work to do ballancing the current game mode.

The next reason is that it would require a much larger commuity. You would need double the ammount of people for only this mode alone so imagine what this would do to queue times and ballanced lobbies.

  • Survivor: Does not matter. Maybe Steve tend to be a bit more toxic then the rest of the bunch, at least in my games.

Killer: Deathslinger (quickscope) Twins (camp and slug machine) Trapper (i fear his traps)

I often will bodyblock if i find someone in a corner because frankly i think it's hilarious, these survivors however are literally the first i've come across in three years that just sat there the entire time and blamed me for "ruining their experience"

Allegedly they'll be coming to the forums as well to share their perspective.

Do i get you right? You block a survivor and therefore prevent him to play the game? And the rest of his team did nothing so you were also trapped in that game?

If so, i love it! They gave you a taste of your own medicine. Good stuff.

Pressing a button is not toxic or even remotely negative. It's a strat tactic to OBVIOUSLY B8 (and it works cause it gets people like you all defensive about it) whoever is being taunted that's been around since online multiplayer has existed. CoD/Runescape....Even my own Daddy taunts me during a Tennis match to try and shake me up. NO ONE ELSE is responsible for how you process emotions, control yourself.

Your Father knows that you know how he means it, you have a completly different relationship with him. There is a big difference between showing my best buddy the middlefinger or a complete stranger.

  • Those matches were i loop shack as good as it gets and suddenly out of nowhere a random meg runs to the shackpallet and drops it instantly to "help out".

  • @MeltingPenguins said:

You obviously don't want him, what with his map being disabled for so long for reasons that are apparently totally fine for other maps, you completely screwed over every aspect of him that made him interesting to play instead of even trying to make him 'fun' for both sides and you can't even give him decent cosmetics.

But know what? I'm working on some stuff, he'll fit right in, I'll take him, you can just remove him from dbd entirely.

The part of the community you are catering to will be grateful.

    You're welcome.

Why so melodramatic? Just take him, he wont be missed.

  • No Freddy main, but i win most of my games with him.

    • Ruin
    • Pop
    • Tinkerer
    • Surveillance

  • I am not a survivor main but I used to play 70/30 a few years ago. I currently play both roles equaly.

Why? I dont know to be honest, i just enjoy playing killer as much as i enjoy playing survivor.

  • Guys, please stop and read the text before you rantpost about poor killers.

He played 20+ games and did not get a single kill.

There are only 2 options: The MMR he is currently on is completly wrong or he is on the lowest end already and still looses all the time (which is unrealistic beeing that bad after 4K hours)

Either way, its definitly not a "killers are so weak" problem.

No it's not. Toxic behaviour as i said many times in this thread but you didn't bother to check is the end game chat. Racial slurs, hate words.

If you think pressing of a button is toxic, you're weak and don't undrestand what toxic behaviour really means. Only dbd community thinks that tbagging or pointing is toxic.

Welp, i guess everyone lives in his own world. For me, taunting like showing the middle finger or shoving balls in someones mouth is a bit rude. If it is not for you, then thats fine. But what this has to do with beeing weak is beyond my comprehension. In my world manner exicsts and not beeing a complete unneccessary ######### should be common sense.

Except that there are no ballsacks in DBD and even if there were, they wouldn’t be anywhere near the killer’s mouth because you can’t knock a killer to the ground. The only thing they’re dunking their hypothetical balls into is the grass.

Teabagging is only a thing in DBD because it’s one of about 4 things survivors can do to taunt, and even then people complain about the rest like pointing and flashlight clicking being toxic too. What horrors do they represent, violently poking your opponent’s eyes out and using the flashlight beam as a form of sensory torture?

I guess showing someone the middlefinger is then also just showing the middlefinger and has no actual meaning.

And poor survivors are entiteled to be rude because... like you say, they are so limited in taunting.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2536683#Comment_2536683

Being annoying is not toxic, it’s being annoying.

People really weaken the definition of ‘toxic’ with stuff like this. Something toxic is something poisonous and harmful, it’s behaviour that harms others, not just behaviour that annoys.

Toxicity is people saying horrible things, people harassing you, etc. Smacking someone on hook or teabagging is not harmful behaviour, it’s rude and immature but that’s the extent of it.

I think people actually really weaken the definition of teabagging rather then the definition of toxic behaviour. If shoving his ballsack into the opponents mouth is not considered to be toxic, then probably nothing else is.

  • @ThanksForDaily said:

Imagine pressing a button is toxic behaviour. Smh.

Toxic behaviour is the slurs in the end game chat. Only dbd players consider pressing of a button toxic behaviour.

Teabagging is not toxic? You do know what the definition of this is, right? If this is not toxic, ######### else is?

  • There are not that many i know, here is a small list

    KnightLight

    XenoDbD

    Fingergunsz

(they are so way above True's skilllevel that they acutally troll him and win without any effort)

    Zubatlel

    Ayrun

(both much more skilled then True with every killer and also survivor, dont know if they are actually very high mmr but definilty way above average)

CoconutRTS is a good Huntress and a decent killer in general, probably high or at least close to MMR.

SuperAlf and every other 5K+ hours Nurse main.

  • I tested it and i agree that it is at its current state way to strong. I am pretty sure, devs will adress this issue before it even goes live.

It takes 12 seconds to bless a Totem. And destroying is quick. But the fact that totems can be re blessed is a huge problem. Just as it would be a huge problem if hex perks would be able to be rebuilt.

Maybe, maybe not. How much have you tried them out on PTB to judge yet?

Its a brand new concept and i wonder why some already call them "overpowered" or "useless". Reminds me of people who called the Clown overpowered back in the days after he was released.

  • Very good patch indeed. Most changes i highly welcome.

I am a bit scepical about the Boon totems tho, but we will see how that goes.

  • @venom12784 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2529237#Comment_2529237

How is this a killer sided patch? When they are making spirit easier to go against. Survivors are getting movable hex totems they can rebless once the killer puts them out. These totems alloy survivors to heal 100% faster. But it's killer sided

I dont know, read the patchnotes? Boon totems are a complete wildcard at this point, we know almost nothing about them but that it takes almost 20 seconds to ignite and less then 2 seconds to destroy.. Could be good for survivors, could be irrelevant.

The rest of it... Plague buff, Trapper buff, countless small buffs and to top it all off a hugh Key and especially hatch nerf. Feel free to name a few survivor buffs that come even close to the hatch nerf.

(I am not saying that i disagree with the Hatch / Key nerf, i think it is healthy for the game, but yet it is definitly a very killer sided buff)

Do we need to turn every thread into a killer vs survivor argument? Perpetuating that crap is unnecessary and it got old long ago. Both sides have players that do nothing but complain, both sides have players who are reasonable, and a lot of people don't main anything and actually play both sides.

I mean, proof me wrong. While this is definitly a killer sided patch, most complains still come from killers, so?

No offense to anybody but its simply because this forum is full of entitled killer mains. On other social medias the tenor is quite different. Here they find a way to moan about everything, even tho this is another killer sided patch. I mean, who cares about Hatch and Key nerf plus plenty of other killer buffs when they change Spirit that she has counterplay? So unfair.

  • @Sickerton said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2527990#Comment_2527990

The whole point of MMR was to make such a disparity in skill impossible. The scenario you are describing has been considered something that should not exist in a normal game by the devs.

    ???

Because there is MMR now in the game, it is fine that Deathslinger is overpowered in a chase and its fine even a mediocre Deathslinger gets easy downs on much better survivors? What has MMR to do with Deathslingers power?

  • @DelsKibara said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2525293#Comment_2525293

Um.. No? Even a mediocre Killer should not lose all 5 generators to a SINGLE survivor. If they lost all 5 gens without hooks because their team is coordinated with saves and can keep gens going, then congratulations, that's the point of DBD and literalyl any other team game.

Survivors should not automatically win a 1v1 just because they are equal or sllightly better than the Killer.

    Because it's not a 1v1. It's 1v4. Holy #########.

You completly miss the point. First i am not saying, that "Survivors should not automatically win a 1v1 just because they are equal or sllightly better than the Killer".

They should win the 1v1 when they are much more skilled. We are not talking about equal skillevel.

The point is, that from a survivor perspecitve skill versus a Slinger almost does not matter in a chase. RNG and the skill of the killer is everything that counts. Thats not fair at all.

Thankfully the devs and the majority of players see it the same way, so discussing about it wont really matter on this fundamental level.

  • They buff doctor? He is almost fine in my opinion. Like YOURFRIEND said, the yellow shock detonation addon as base kit is all he really needs.

  • @Veinslay said:

The problem is that a survivor's idea of a fun killer to play against is one that they can run for all five gens with ease. That's ridiculous in a 1v4 game. You're basically asking the killer player to take an auto loss every single game the way that the game mechanics are currently designed. No one is going to keep playing when one and two hook games are the norm at high MMR with the way the developer's design philosophy is moving in regards to killer nerfs.

You are right with one thing: Survivors indeed should be able to run a killer for 5 gens.

Assume a very good survivor plays against a mediocre or bad killer, his skill advantage should give him the edge to run him for that ammount of time.. simply because he is that much better. Even in a 4v1 skill should matter.

Thats not the case with a Deathslinger. Even a mediocre Deathslinger with decent RNG can easily down a very good survivor relative quick.

Most survivors have a problem with that and i think the reason is very obvious and understandable.

  • @Lochnload_exe said:

Sorry Slinger mains but he was extremely unfun and oppressive as a killer and killer designs shouldn't keep being that. This change was a healthy one and in the right direction.

The problem with this change is the fact that he was EXTREMELY 1v1 oppressive, but EXTREMELY weak in the 1v4, like lots of the killers they keep making. They made his 1v1 much better to face, but now he is still weak in the 1v4. I hope he gets some sort of buff to help compensate for that now. This new change was for sure a good one, but his weakness is going to shine brighter now. I don't have an idea for it now, but hopefully the devs are thinking of something nice.

    I totally agree.

Unfortunatly there is no easy solution for him. A simply buff to compensate the nerf like 115% mms will make him unfair in a chase again.

Deathslinger is a good example on how to not desgin a killer. Just like Twins btw (who are hopefully next on the list)

  • No.

Genspeed is fine. What we actually need are smaller maps plus less RNG.

  • @Duskk said:

Maybe I’m just dumb and don’t get it. But I never felt like Slinger was overly strong. Sure he was annoying , getting sniped or pulled through windows is never fun. but no where near OP in the slightlest. I don’t get why you’d need to nerf him? He’s got great chase ending potential with his gun, but that’s kinda it. He’s a 110% movement speed killer who has 0 map pressure. And is lack luster outside of the chase. He was a decent killer, was not anything spectacular, this seems like an unnecessary nerf in my opinion. I guess we will have to wait and see how it plays out though.

He is not op per se, but he is very unfun to go against.

I am suprised you ask that question in the first place even the devs have already explained, why they are going to chang him.

Currently, there is almost no delay between aiming down sights and being able to fire your weapon. Likewise, there is almost no delay between cancelling your shot and going for a basic attack. This creates lose-lose situations for the Survivor where there is nothing they can realistically do to avoid getting hit. For example, if they vault a window, you can easily aim down sights and fire without giving them a chance to dodge your shot. But if they decide to not vault the window, you can easily cancel your shot and hit them with a basic attack instead. Additionally, since there’s almost no delay, the Survivor must constantly dodge and run erratically just in case the Killer decides to shoot.

instant ads is one of the reasons what made me main him and they're getting rid of it, his insane chase power is the only thing he has and they nerfed it for no reason at all

The reason they nerfed his insane chase power is because its an insane chase power. Why are people upset about that? Isnt it good for the game to get rid of such extrem advantages?

On top of that, he still will be able to connect his shots, but his annoying fakes will be history.

I guess there are for always people who dislike a change if it is something they could rely on. Cant wait for the Key/Hatch change complains. So many tears... :(

  • There are hardly any people who like this map. Everyone i know agrees its the worst DBD map created so far, no matter if its for survivor or killer.

  • @crixus006 said:

I can't play with different killers if they can't compete in high ranks, these killers just depend on the survivor team to be bad to be able to do something if they are good in 4 minutes This ends.

I also play as a survivor and it's the same really the high must mmr things where you must work. But with buffs like that of the tramper, this is not good

Skill based match making. If you cant get good results in your game with a certaint killer, you wont play against high MMR. But you get fair matches nevertheless. So i dont understand your issue unless you are a competetive player (the 0,1% who are completly irrelevant for the game)

If anything bhvr probably enjoys hackers. If they catch you, they ban you, they buy the game again. That's more money for bhvr.

There's also the toxic community. I don't need to look at any charts to tell you there's a ton of false reports. I get accused of wall hacking almost every 5 matches. There's so many people who don't understand what they just saw and assume it's a hack. It's not my fault they don't know how bbq or NC works. With all these false reports it's pretty difficult to see a genuine one.

Every hacker ruins the reputation of the game and the company, not to mention that there are mope people quiting because of hackers then hackers rebuying the game. I doubt a few thousend extra blank copies of the game is more profitable for them.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    what are you talking about?

He is mad that killers are so weak.

Topic: New players or casual players in general have simply a higher priority then we have. It is obvious, 1000+ hours veterans are probably less then 20% (just a vague guess but from my experience that is what it is probably) so they can not ballance it only for the very experienced players.

  • @justbecause said:

Once a guy hacked my friends game and cheated in game and my friend got banned by hacker I sent them proof with texts of hacker addmiting he hacked them and I sent video proof they cheated in game guess what happened person didn't got banned and nothing happened and it was so long ago and I can still see that person profile playing dbd

While this is very unfortunate for your friend and i feel sorry for him, it is also a good sign that they at least get rid of them.

The problem is, that banning cheaters cant be the only way to deal with them. They simply get a new cheap account and start from fresh, no big deal.

Dear BHVR, i know you probably wont read this, but if you do,i want to encourage you that next to optimization a good and reliable working anti-cheat has to be top priority! Too many games died because of cheaters just because the devs took too much time or too little effort to deal with this big problem.

Dont let this faith be yours, thank you!

Blight: Blighted crow and rat should bove have a downside.
