This just proves that this game is truly unbalanced

Truetalent is not the best example since he doesnt play competitively, he refuses to tunnel or camp when necessary and wants to generate a "fun game".

But he is playing doc, so he was doomed the moment he entered the queue.....

He actually tunnels quite a lot. You see him go after the same person right from a hook.

That said he still plays more fair than your average killer.

You can paint over a crack but the crack is still there and everyone knows about it, that crack will get bigger and bigger until you rip out that damn wall and replace it so the entire building is actually safe.

    Did you say crack?

  • If it was more than 2 days I probably would try some killer. But playing against rank 20's is boring.

If there was ever a way to link your profile to Xbox and have all the stuff I worked so hard for with my nearly 1 billion BP spent I would just flat out buy the game on PC.

Pig is one of the handful of killers that isn't that fun to play as or against. I've only made this post to suggest alternatives to a bland power.

  • BBQ, Whispers, Stridor, Sloppy Butcher. But since sounds are busted right now use MYC instead of Stridor.

What is it with people wanting RBT buffs? They are fine just the way they are. They are meant to slow down the game by giving survivors another objective. They are NOT meant to kill.

Bad killers asking for handouts. Learn 2 play. Come at me.

There seems to be an ironic philosophy in DbD that the killer is not meant to kill, only prolong the game to farm score and then have everyone escape.

Just like there seems to be the idea that killers should get free kills for doing essentially nothing. You chase a dude and put a trap on his head. Yep you surely deserve the kill there.

Like I said, learn 2 play.

Any killer could end the game quickly if they slug everyone. Also for every survivor that gets the trap off on the first box I guarantee there is one that has to search all 4 boxes. Killers never pay attention to this though, they only notice when someone gets the trap off. When you play survivor you'd notice the times where someone has a trap on for almost the entire time a lot more.

  • @artist said:
I think that's a REALLY small price to pay to have som1 that is a one shot the entire game

Not really. If every time you have a one shot available you use it on someone that's injured it's a waste. If I jump out and sponge your EW tier 3 when you were about to down another survivor, particularly the obsession, trust you will be singing a different tune.

Right. Bad killers asking for handouts. The "objective" that the Pig provides with the RBTs is so miniscule, it has hardly any effect on the game at all. I'm not making this to KILL more people, I'm making it so it wastes more people's time. Something about the way you responded makes me think you didn't read the entire post.

It wastes time, and is based on RNG. Sometimes that can mean 30 seconds, sometimes that can mean a full 2 minutes. If you want more time wasted then use add-ons. Or pressure the guy the with trap and at least push them away from boxes. I can't tell you how many times I see a Pig just spam traps then hook you right next to a box and NEVER come back to pressure you. Know what I do? I space out my traps. I don't use the first one until either a gen or my Ruin pops, unless it's an obsession. Then I wait for the next gen to pop before using another trap. I save one for end game so I can proc my Blood Warden. If you space them out and use them at the right time they can help you waste time. Again, it's RNG, so the benefit you get varies. But for every time someone gets their trap off at the first box I guarantee there is someone that has to search at least 3 boxes to get their trap off. But you never realize this because you are too focused on the guy that got it off immediately.

Plus Pig's ambush already got a buff on PTB. RBT doesn't need a buff. RBT is just fine the way it is. Stop asking for buffs. It's sad.

Maybe don't tunnel the injured guy when you have 3 stacks of Devour or NOED. Go after someone that's full health then you get some benefit from it.

As a No Mither player it's my job to sponge your one shots. If you chase me when you have NOED then that's your mistake.

So you’re saying you should stop chasing someone because you have an insta-down M1, and try to find a healthy Survivor instead. Are you kidding.

Yes if you don't want it to proc on the injured guy then chase someone else. Otherwise accept that you will give away that you have a one shot on someone that's already one shot. Like I said, NM guy is there to sponge your one shots. If you waste your first hit on me that's YOUR mistake.

You act like the Killer has a limited amount of M1 attacks. You can’t “waste” a hit. Any down is a benefit to the Killer.

Oh no? You're Myers, tier 3. Chasing someone at full health. You swing, but then me, the NM guy, jumps out and sponges the hit. The healthy guy gets away. You are forced to take my hook because I'm NM guy. You hook me, your tier 3 expires. You effectively wasted your one shot.

You have NOED. You are chasing me, NM guy, at the end of the trial. Last gen pops then you hit me. Now everyone knows you have NOED and you wasted the surprise on the guy that was already 1 hit. You would have been better off with probably any other perk.

You have MYC. But me, the NM guy, rushes hooks and eats your MYC. You never get a one shot on anyone because the guy that's permanently one shot sponged it.

You have Haunted Grounds. Chasing me, NM guy. It procs mid-chase. You catch me and are forced to take my hook right away or lose it (because I get up and don't leave blood for you to find me if you slug). By the time you find the next guy, HG is gone. WASTED.

You can definitely waste a hit if it's supposed to be a one shot. Killers NEVER realize this about NM guy, but it can seriously screw you over if you have a one shot and never get to use it on anyone. NM guy is always one shot, so your NOED/MYC/HG/EW tier 3 is irrelevant.

It makes the game crash? I’ve been on Xbox and played against people with sloppy (including a wraith!) and i have had no issues.

Yes. It's happened to me twice and some of my friends. It doesn't crash immediately the frame rate drops over time and once it drops below a certain point your game can crash.

Only a truly biased killer main would write a combined total of about 30 paragraphs across 10 different comments justifying keeping a game breaking bug in the game. (So long as that bug favored the killer)

IKR! It's like "hey this bug crashes your game but since I'm a player and not a dev I can do what I want and I'm not liable for it at all! Nope I'm not a jerk for literally breaking your game and basically cheating by making it impossible for you to play and then forcing your game to freeze. The game counts it as a DC which is a kill for me so it must be good!"

  • Killers that camp because they were looped are just spiteful children. It's part of the game and the survivor is just playing optimally. Camping however is rarely an optimal strategy, and when you throw the game away just to "teach them a lesson" you are being toxic. It's retaliatory, whereas looping isn't. Camp if you want but you're just being salty. Maybe try leaving the chase and instead catch them when they are in a more vulnerable spot. There are only a handful of super strong loops in the game, and most of them are broken when the pallet is gone.

The Developers have addressed this. Not in the werewolf context; however, killers like Dracula, and such have been defined as “too cliché”. However, they have thought of doing a transformative killer- so this may or may not lead us in the right direction in terms of killers.

I could see them doing a Werewolf if they feel they have a good/fun idea to build it off of. I don't think they will make a werewolf just for the sake of it.

I have an idea for a killer that is kind of a werewolf, but not actually. It fits a horror-trope and would make a "werewolf" character obsolete, but it's not a werewolf. I don't wanna give out details though, maybe I'll post it sometime soon. I have a full story, perks, add-ons, power, map, everything. I just need to flesh out the survivor, which I have the basic story and perks but not completely written out yet.

    What's "Smurf"?

Small blue creatures which are apparently delicious.

  • I'll only dodge if I just played against those survivors. Win or lose I hate playing the same people over and over. If I could do it as survivor to avoid the same killer 3 times in a row I would.

SWF is not that bad. People keep saying "well using comms is cheating DUUURRRRR". Well on Xbox the party system is part of the platform. In fact you can just invite the other survivors to a party in the lobby, no external software required. I've gotten many invites from other survivors, which I almost always ignore because I've learned to not join random people's parties because 99% of the time they are squeekers or #########. First ones caught and then DC almost every time too.

But yea, SWF isn't really as bad as people say. I'm more scared of the 4 solo survivors at high ranks because these guys got there WITHOUT comms. That means they are way better than the players that always SWF. Plus SWF groups tend to be overly altruistic. I went to play some chill Freddy games last night, got a group of 3 that farmed each other right in front of me. I was basically tunneling and camping not even by choice, I would have been happy to just walk away from the hook but when you save right in my face right after I hook I'm going to punish that. They were cool about it though, said they were tired of tunnely/campy killers and decided to just farm each other. The irony.

Well that was because YOU WERE NOT ON PLAYSTATION. On Xbox this bug can indeed crash your game, so stop with the "well it didn't happen to me" bull #########.

  • It depends what your build is.

If you run Enduring + Spirit Fury then STBFL.

If you have no other chase perks, Bambo.

  • I've only DC'ed if something bugs out and I can't move or something. One time long ago, I teleported to a trap as Hag and the guy had dropped the pallet. I was stuck inside the pallet, and had no other traps in the area to teleport to so I DC'ed. Another time as survivor the exit gates were bugged and I couldn't leave (I would just walk past the threshold towards the campfire), so I DC'ed. I probably could have taken hatch but IIRC there was another survivor in the trial still that had the same thing happen, so I let them take the hatch and I left.

If you dont want to rely on ruin and the RNG that survivors dont spawn on it, then there is only sloppy butcher as an alternative

    What's worse:
    1) Choosing a different perk for a short time.
    2) Games crashing

Shouldn't be a hard decision. Not to mention, Ruin and Sloppy are not the ONLY options to slow the game down. If it bothers you that much there are 13 other killers for you to pick in the meantime while the bug is fixed.

    thank you for your time.

The bug is already fixed in the PTB and will be pushed to the live build in the next update.

They fixed it individually, but the patch notes make it sound like you can still cause the bug by using Sloppy with the add-on. If someone can still crash the game by using both that's still a problem.

  • Says "I'm not defending it". Proceeds to defend it.

The fix is on the PTB and isn't even an actual fix. It can still indeed happen if the Wraith uses add-ons and Sloppy. So why shouldn't we just disable it again? Go ahead, tell me again why we should allow a game crashing bug and then say you're not defending it.

Then tell me how I always want the last word by having the last word because I'm not replying to you anymore ;) Hypocrite

  • @Ryuhi said:
are you implying that I want the issue to remain? Is that why you keep repeating the same demand? I'm confused.

Clearly if you are okay with people crashing the game you want it to remain. Otherwise you wouldn't be defending it. It won't hurt the game to disable the perk for Wraith until they fix it completely. It will hurt to continue to let games crash from an easily avoidable bug.

And I just told you why I keep repeating it. SMH

  • @Ryuhi said:
the resort loaded up very often with only 1-3 survivors during the blood point event, which was after it was restored. I personally only was able to load into it a total of 3 games during that entire time, and of those 3 none of them had the full 5 players. and this was while it was at a high appearence rate due to their new seasonal map algorithm.

Still has nothing to do with what we are talking about. Your anecdotal "evidence" means nothing. However it has been proven this bug can make the game crash and it happens CONSISTENTLY when Wraith equips Sloppy.

Your reiterations are exactly what I was referring to, you're just trying to get the last word in by repeating the same demand. That kind of thing is generally not well received by developers (and for good reason.)

LOL and you're not? Jesus flippin Christ dude, the bug crashes the game I don't have to say any more than that. And I'm not repeating it for the developers, I'm repeating it for YOU because it seems like your skull is too thick to understand that CRASH = BAD. Like there is no defending this LOL.

@thesuicidefox what’s your gamer tag? Me and @Nickenzie are on Xbox as well. :)

This is my gamertag. I use it for everything.

@Ryuhi You are talking out your ass. Sorry, but you are just being nonsensical about it. The bug crashes the game. That's all the reason you need to remove the perk as an option for Wraith. Also I call bullshit that the resort bug is "more common" now than before. I have not seen a single complaint about the game crashing since they fixed it. That's not to say it still doesn't happen, but it's definitely not the the extent that it was before the fix.

Like I said if the next patch fixes it, ACTUALLY fixes it then fine. But if it doesn't they need to disable Sloppy for Wraith because it's becoming more and more of an issue.

  • @Ryuhi said:
This one also isnt caused directly by players, but rather by a perk that is available in the game. Likewise, the ormond one could then be said to be directly caused if a player uses the map offering for it.

If the players can make the bug happen ON PURPOSE then yes, it is directly caused by the players. And resort bug was crashing the game, and COULD be caused directly by players that used the offering. Hence why they removed the map from rotation.

SMH like do you even listen to yourself? The killer main self defense mechanism is strong with this one. There is no other reason you would be defending something that crashes the game.

  • Most games usually solve this with some sort of comeback mechanic. Survivors kinda have this with the hatch but it's not really a comeback mechanic, more of a anti-laming mechanic (because it gives survivors a way to leave when it would otherwise be impossible to do gens).

Literally the whole OP is about snowballing. The snowballing in this game for either side is very VERY extreme. Survivors do gens too fast, you sometimes have no chance as killer. Killer tunnels or gets a critical hook/down, survivors will be playing for hatch.

So we don't need to slow the game or anything like that. We need comeback mechanics. The problem is most comeback mechanics break the game at the highest levels. But with the way this game works, that could be a drop in the bucket or it could tip the bucket clean over.

  • @Ryuhi said:
Again, you're ignoring the fact that multiple other bugs on a similar level exist simply because this is the one that affects YOU on occasion.

There are no other bugs that crash the game. Not ones caused DIRECTLY by the players. Stop saying any bug is at all the same as this.

You clearly don't know how game dev works. When bugs reports come in they are classified by their severity. Game crashing bugs are ALWAYS labeled as top priority. None of the other issues you mention even come close to that level of severity.

  • @Ryuhi Okay so macros require a third party. W/e, I don't play on PC so I don't know this. My point is that if it's within the devs ability to prevent something that CRASHES the game they need to do it, else it will... drum roll... make people's games crash. Whether intentional or not, it doesn't make a difference.

Just as you say, there are difference variables that make it happen. I play on Xbox. You can see it ON XBOX. Maybe not on PC, and maybe just not on YOUR PC. But on Xbox it can happen.

And you are defending it, because a reasonable person would say "yes remove it until it's fixed". The bug crashes the game. That shouldn't EVER be acceptable. If Wraiths have to suffer without a perk for a short time that's better than letting games crash.

  • I want to be a good person and read this but I can't. Dude please take the white background off. No one is going to want to read this.

  • @Captain_Spaulding said:
To clarify it happens on pc too. I've run into a handful of wraiths that are exploiting it as well. I have a decent internet connection and it makes my ping drop to about 15 ms. Everyone knows about it, yet there seems to be no stopping it until it's patched out in the ptb. We can only report them for exploiting and be hopeful that something is done to them for it.

It's not the ping it's the frame rate, but yea they need to do something about it. With their track record I don't expect their fix to completely remove it. Until they can confirm they fixed it completely they need to do something. There are people exploiting this on purpose.

  • @Ryuhi Just because you tested it doesn't mean it can't happen. I asked some of them and some said they could see it. Some said no. And others didn't respond. But of the ones that said yes, how do you explain that? Obviously bugs can happen for a variety of reasons and causes a variety of effects. Not to mention, KYF does not always work the same as a normal game. There are some bugs the only work in KYF, like the multi-killer bug, so it stands to reason there are bugs that only work in a normal game too.

By your logic then it's totally fine for a survivor to use a flashlight macro to crash the killer's game. Literally NONE of the examples you give crash the game. They are lame, but they don't crash the game. Crashing the game is something that the devs should not allow PERIOD. If that means disabling a perk/add-on/item/whatever until they fix it, so be it.

Also infinite loading screens isn't something that's easily avoidable. But Sloppy on Wraith IS easily avoidable by just disabling Sloppy. I get it's a good perk, and very good for Wraith in particular, but dude IT CRASHES THE GAME. That's unacceptable. No excuses. Stop defending something that is an actual serious issue that can be easily solved.

  • @Ryuhi said:
..so your answer is to remove it before hotfixing it to at least where its at in the PTB? If you'd even read the patch notes for it, you'd see they have isolated it so that it does not affect SB or the addon anymore, but rather only when both are used simultaneously. Since there is no actual benefit to this, if nothing else, it makes it 100% obvious when people are actually exploiting it.

Unfortunately there are a lot of very big bugs that are present in the game in the 2.4 update, which will happen when updating an entire game engine. Unfortunately the devs have opted to not do any quickfixes it seems, so we're stuck waiting until the 2.5 update. And considering I've lost a good dozen BPS offerings and some good killer addons to loading screen crashes, I'm not crying too much a few people have had game crashes from this issue.

BTW when I mentioned wraiths were avoiding it, I was talking about the good guy killers who avoid exploiting things and try "playing by survivor rules." Considering how fixated you are on the ones who just play the game with the tools given to them, its no surprise you're not seeing a whole lot of them. There is very little reason to gimp yourself in this game, regardless of which side you're on, so a lot of them will either continue to remain ignorant about it or simply ignore it and ignore the survivors who complain about it.

That doesn't suddenly mean every time you see a wraith with sloppy they're willingly trying to crash your system, they just don't care about the consequences on your end. And thats the DBD mentality in a nutshell.

If they fix it fine, but considering that there is a lot of wrong information (I know for a fact some killers CAN see it, and I know for a fact that it only takes Sloppy to make it happen) BHVR needs to do something about it if their fixes don't work. They took resort out of map rotation for all platforms because it caused crashing on PS4, this is pretty much the same thing except it is way more common.

And if the Wraith puts on Sloppy KNOWING that it can crash that game, then yes they are doing it to crash my game. Whether it happens or not is irrelevant, they know it can crash the game and they do it anyway.

You are trivializing a rather serious bug. Game crash = serious. And if you give players the ability to do it, they will. Knowingly or not it doesn't matter.

The fact you are defending a game crashing bug just shows how biased you are. Survivors were able to crash the game with flashlight macros, and yes that should be bannable, and yes they should disable it until they get a fix (I don't play on PC so IDK if it's still a thing, it might be a bit tougher to do because it's an item not a perk, but the point still stands that something should be done).

  • @Ryuhi said:
as a wraith player who didnt even know about this until survivors told me about it, you cannot see it. stop propagating that lie. a lot of wraiths are avoiding it (which is especially annoying since its a very meta perk for him) to try to be nice since we know its an issue, but the rest are either unaware or don't care about survivor feelings.

taking drastic measures because something puts one side at a disadvantage is kinda silly, and asking for it as a counter to a glitch is even more silly... that'd be like disabling crouch walking because audio for most killers is completely broken right now, forcing scratch marks because the spirit can barely track off of anything since the new engine update both auditory and visually, etc.

They've already addressed the issue in the PTB and it is only caused there by a "double application" of hemorrhaging(?) status, so hopefully they will have it completely isolated by the time 2.5 goes live. In the meantime people will just have to make like every single other glitch: adapt and endure until it gets fixed.

(for the record, I'm actually kinda glad it happened and i was nice enough to stop running sloppy, introduced me to the enduring+ spirit fury combo)

You can see it. I don't think it's all the time but they can definitely see it on occasion. I know because I asked some Wraiths if they saw the blood (this was before I knew about the bug) and they said yes. Also I was found because of it a few times, as there was definitely no other way the killer saw me.

And no Wraith's are not avoiding it. At least not on Xbox. I just played one earlier that was using Sloppy and KNEW about the bug. How did I know he knew? I messaged him about the bug and he told me he knew.

Also you seem to have miss the important part so I will make it in big letters...

    IT MAKES THE GAME CRASH

At least on Xbox. IDK about PC or PS4 but I would assume it has the possibility of doing so. If it was just a visual bug I wouldn't have a problem with it. But it freezes the game. And while BHVR might not ban you for it, MS/Sony still can. This is a big deal, it's not just "oh he can see my blood all the time".

Also, add-ons don't make a difference. Again maybe it's just Xbox, but it happens when Wraiths have no add-ons. I've only seen 1 Wraith using the add-ons that supposedly cause it, but it's actually just Sloppy Butcher that causes the bug.

  • The only thing I think they should do with Prayer Beads is make it a pink add-on, swap it with Father's Glasses.

  • There are some good ideas here. I hope we get something interesting in the next chapter. Preferably something BALANCED, no more Game or Family Residence.

  • I like this because when I play bloody Kate I could say I'm on the RAGS.

  • Blood Warden is really good for Pig. If you trap someone when gates are powered you almost guarantee a BW proc. It's a devastating perk if you catch people with it too. It adds a guaranteed 60 seconds, which is more than you might get from Ruin depending on RNG.

I use Whispers and Nurse's Calling, so when you are crouched you know survivors are around and can see them healing without them knowing exactly (unless they have like Spine Chill or Distortion).

  • A graveyard would be cool too.

  • I think a cave of some sort would be cool. Or maybe a mountain bomb shelter.

I think these places would be great for a horror game.

We already have the first two though...

    I like the airfield idea.

  • One thing I want as a solo survivor is something using the gestures to actually expand communication with others. Like if you point at the killer you reveal your aura to all survivors. Or if you use come here they get an alert on their HUD so then know someone is trying to gesture them nearby.

Not sure what other kinds of perks you could make that would benefit solo more than SWF though. Pretty much everything scales up for SWF.

  • I've also had the issue where I have a key and someone that's injured is near the hatch and instead of using the key it tries to heal them, even if I look away and stuff.

Actually it does count. I'm positive of this.

  • Lock on through walls you say... 🤔

  • I want to see some sort of monster or non-human killer. Maybe an animal or something. Cujo-like dogs for example.

  • People will just quit during the load screen by closing the game app. Not to mention it could screw you over, I've had instance where I'm in an SWF and someone doesn't make it through but it's still a full lobby.

Truth is there's no way to prevent dodging that wouldn't cause more bull #########.
