  • The problem on console is the FPS. Sometimes when I attack my screen freezes for a millisecond and I whiff. It's actually easy to counter 360's by using high sensitivity and strafing, but I still whiff because of the frame drops.

  • Yes it should be an opt out thing anyway (hold button to let yourself die) just for the fact that any sort of lag spike will make you die.

I also really want them to change wiggle to button presses or something. Control sticks already break too easy, we don't need a Mario Party 1 style wiggle to make it worse. Whoever thought this up is obviously not a console player.

  • Regarding the video they have BNP's. Technically speaking you could have done a gen that fast before if you had 4 players with BNP on a gen like that.

There was a video floating around where they use Spine Chill, PT, Resil, and a purple toolbox. Did the gen in about 15 seconds. But it requires the killer to cooperation. The fastest a gen could realistically be done in an actual game is probably something like 30 seconds.

Mhm if so many killers chicken out, maybe that's because they don't feel skilled enough?

    Fix that for ya.

  • Killers that tunnel NM guy are super trash. They think they are so good going for the guy that's handicapped all game.

Well the ingame information is wrong, I know its ridiculous but thats what we have been told.

I cant show you more than the most recent threadabout this,,,,

LOL "in game info is wrong" maybe your info is wrong. It's literally right there in front of you in the damn game. Admit you are wrong or kindly keep your mouth shut.

  • They should have left Leader alone TBH. Prove Thyself needed a rework but they totally borked both of these perks.

Also while Leader may be better than Wake Up at the same job, you need someone with Leader to stand near you while you open the gate. It's a bit of a trade off, but yea Wake Up should be better.

  • It's definitely a bug. No reason a chainsaw should be silent.

  • I'd rather my bloody p3 head, but yea there is some tactical advantage to the new head and the other one with her hair in a bun. I don't think it makes much a difference though.

  • Just want to make a point about Depip squad... none of them are actual top tier survivors. People have said Ochido isn't really that great of a survivor, which is true, but compared to individuals from Depip squad I would say he is better than any of them at survivor. Yea, they know how to loop or do certain things but it's actually very basic stuff. They still would make a ton of mistakes and get caught, the only reason they were able to pull off what they did was because of communication and a strict strategy, not because of their individual skills as survivor. You don't have to be THAT good to rush gens or loop the killer in the most basic loops.

I would argue that Monto and Puppers are better survivor players than any of Depip squad or Ochido. They can actually run from the killer for a LONG time, on top of being able to actually escape the chase and such. Closer to top tier but still not there.

Real top tier survivors don't mess up much if at all. They don't fall for any gimmicks or tricks or mindgames, and they know how to counter every killer build that exists. They can run for days, gen rush solo, and hide very very well. IDK if any streamer actually qualifies to be that level of survivor, and I've personally only seen maybe a handful of this type of player on Xbox.

Last night I ran into a depipping killer twice. He didn't offer anything or use any add-ons. He would wait until the game loaded in then quit immediately to depip by 2 pips. Made us lose our offerings both times. The first time he was around rank 3, the second time he was at rank 6 meaning he did it many times. This is unacceptable. I reported him but this is Xbox so IDK what will happen if anything. If you're gonna do that at least have the courtesy to message the survivors so we know not to use offerings (or leave if we don't want the free 5k BP).

We are not supposed to report DCing. There is an automatic system that will trigger if the DC rate exceeds an absurdly high rate. Certain fogstreamers have proved already that its ok to dernak by DCing in order to hover at certain ranks.

Oh and just a note, you will get punished for falsefy reporting too

It's not a false report, one of the options literally says "disconnecting from the game" and one of the options under Xbox reports is "quit early". Tell me how if the killer leaves right when the game starts as a way to depip it is a false report.

The stupid ######### people say around here I swear man...

Letting survivors just walk by you is playing to lose.

Maybe if you're a trash killer. If you're a good killer with a big lead then you can easily afford to play fair. I will go around and 3 hook everyone if they just don't do gens fast enough. I'm not sweaty for a kill when I'm clearly going to win anyway.

The Patriots should have "played fair" by letting the Chiefs win since they have won the last few Super Bowls.
    Insane much?
This is what is being suggested. Playing to lose is playing "fair" now? Really?
You must like participation trophies. In the real world, these do not exist.
If you are good survivor, you won't get caught in the first place. LOL! :) Don't blame "trash killers" for your mistake at getting caught. You failed, not them. Participation trophy denied. LOL! :)

Now, in reality, when I play, I go after the closest survivor when I return to the hook, I don't care if it is the one that was just hooked or the other one as generally turning around and going for the one shot down would take more time than hitting the two hit down rescuer.
It is playing the game smart. If you "think" you are being tunneled, maybe you were the closest one to hit. Blame the other survivor for getting away better than you did, not the killer for "tunneling" and wanting to win and "ruin your fun" in a team game. Wow... just wow... LOL! :)

You seem to be missing the point. If you're winning by a large margin and still insist on tunneling someone that's a trash killer. You can afford to play fair with the survivors if you are winning by a lot. On top of being fair, you get both more BP and more emblem points for it so there is other reason to do it. I'm not saying you should play fair if it means you are going to lose.

Also football is a sport where money and such is on the line. There is nothing even close to that in most games, let alone DBD. When the stakes are high, yea take the lead and don't give an inch. But the stakes are pretty low in DBD.

The fact of the matter is if you tunnel hard when you are winning by a mile then you are a trash killer because it takes literally no skill. The guy that got unhooked has no way to really defend themselves. You are just being a jerk by doing stuff like that because you are so thirsty for kills.

I play killer, I get why killers tunnel. Sometimes it's just bad luck. But there's also a point of getting better as killer which you won't do if you take the easy way every time. Then when you get bodied by a group of good survivors you cry "gen rush" or "looping is unfair" when the reality is you are a trash killer. You'd be a better killer if you took the opportunities to get better when you are clearly winning to push yourself.

Talks about participation trophies. Defends unnecessary tunneling because it's the easy thing to do. Good job so far bro 👍

  • Are we sure that it's actually changed and not just a text bug in the description? That's a thing you know. Someone should test it to see if it's actually faster.

  • @Vietfox said:
I run resilience, which allows you to repair a gen 7 seconds faster, and believe me when i say that every second matters in this game.

    *6.6 seconds faster

  • IIRC this group was stream sniping him anyway. They knew he had no perks and just rushed him. Still dumb how fast they could do gens, but it is something to consider.

Also picking up the DS guy wastes loads more time than just the extra stun + chase after. If he just slugged him he could have kept a lot more pressure. By eating the DS he lost all that pressure.

  • @AlwaysInAGoodShape said:
Apparently some other things were changed, like self-care's item efficiency.
Either they went out of their way to change it or for patch related reasons, they replaced their current scripts with older scripts, which may have allowed for certain secret changes to slip through.

This could just be a bug with the text and not the actual perk. Someone needs to test it to see if it's actually different.

  • Xbox rank 1 surv here. I have the exact opposite problem. I play with my SWF group of 3-4, we sit in a lobby for up to 10 minutes at a time (then get dodged probably a third of the time). I play solo or with 1 other person, we find a game in under a minute.

  • I own all the DLC characters yet somehow still get Myers splinter in my bloodwebs. It's really annoying TBH.

I think it has something to do with the fact I bought all the DLC through the MS store EXCEPT Myers/Lori who I got both with shards.

They do need to fix this. Refund the BP of all shards in the process.

  • @BlackViperCom said:

    @thesuicidefox said:
I'll be willing to bet most of the tunneling is because your survivor group did like 3 gens in the first chase.

I tend to not tunnel people as I get more points if they run off and heal because if I put them on the hook in the first place, I will catch them again and hit them twice to gain even more... After my P3-50 Spirit gains all level 3 perks (already have all perks available), I will no longer need points and will try and gain rank. I also need more practice finding people than standing there and waiting for someone to come to me that may actually never arrive (too climb the ladder).

However... this is why "garbage" killers, as OP put it... "tunnel"...

Everyone... be serious here... you are the killer... stay with me... someone is rescued from the hook... stay... with... me...

You must hit one of those people a single (one) time to down them... the other, twice (two).

Which do you pick because you need to put people down fast to delay generator repair?

If the player answering the question is a survivor main that never played killer, the answer is TWO!
If the player is neutral, while they play survivor, the answer is two, but while they play killer, it is one.
If the player is a killer main, the obvious choice is one... why make the game twice as difficult as it already is?!?

All players, if wanting to "win", would pick "one". It is ridiculous to even suggest anything else.

With a voice com using SWF, anything other than answering one is basically an automatic derank... but killers have no idea if it is a "PUG" or a well coordinated SWF Rank 2 with 3X rank 15 bodyguards. Those garbage killers need to tunnel to fight garbage survivors. The easiest way to ensure a fighting chance with wild unknowns is tunnel everyone. Enough said. :)

Get real people. Get real. LOL! :)

As a side note: If I had the choice between killing strictly PUG or SWF, I would still go SWF as it is the most interesting and challenging... and if that option existed, hook me up with more BP if I pick SWF! (hint hint).

But if the group hasn't done a single gen you can afford to go after the "two hit" guy. I have no problem doing that I will even let the injured guy run past me without hitting them if that's the case. But most of the time, groups rush through gens which means I'm forced to go after the injured guy if I want to keep up.

Killers that outright for the injured guy with 5 gens and Ruin still up are the trash killers because they have no reason to do it.

  • @DemonDaddy said:
Ruin gets overrated, I always have better success with overcharge. And when it comes to hex totems devour hope Tier 1 all the way.

Overcharge doesn't affect real rank 1 players either. The only time it's going to work is if you pair it with Unnerving to make the skill check super tiny, but I'm positive that if they EVER increase the frame rate cap on console this wouldn't be an issue.

Literally the only things that make a difference in time now are Sloppy Butcher, Thanatophobia, PGTW, Dying Light, and Remember Me. All because they physically slow down stuff and don't just make skill checks harder.

    @Might_Oakk said:
Ruin is a terribly designed perk, it punishes new players but does little to experienced players.

    Blood Warden > Ruin.

I agree. BW is a great perk I use it on my a few of my killers and it is devastating when you get it to proc. You catch a lot of survivors with it.

  • I think it's like 6 or 7 seconds. They fade though, so the more intense the scratches the closer the survivor is.

  • @Broosmeister said:
It's not a better perk than Spinechill or Alert.

Of all the detection perks Spine Chill is definitely the best. No cooldown, increased speed bonus (which works on vaults too), range is the same as most killer's heartbeat, and gives you an idea on what the killer's focus is. Procs while on a gen? Killer is coming to that gen. Procs during a heal? Killer has Nurse's. Procs when you are definitely well hidden? Killer probably has some aura reading add-on. Procs against Myers? You are getting stalked. Procs during a chase through a jungle gym? Killer is going in that direction so turn around. As killer it's very hard to counter mostly because it's very hard to tell someone has it.

  • IMO all the killer detection perks are useless once you get to a point where you understand the game and can think like a killer. This, of course, requires you to play a lot of killer. The only times where I would use a detection perk would be Spine Chill against Wraith/Freddy/Pig with Amanda's Letter/Myers/Spirit with Prayer Beads on Lery's or Game just because it's harder to track/predict the killer's movements. But even then not worth using over other perks that offer more tangible effects like Iron Will.

  • Kate has a nice butt. That is literally my only reason.

  • You need to get Leatherface to level 35 for the teachable. You could also wait for it to show up in the shrine and buy it there, but it never shows up in the shrine. RNG my ass.

  • Right now there is a bug that prevents you from picking them up out of traps. Probably related to the grab bug.

There are other reasons though. If you don't want to pick them up right away it's best to just hit them so they are in dying state when they get out of the trap, gives you time to kick a gen/pallet or maybe get a chase on someone else, whatever the case may be. Also if they were in the trap for a bit, it's better to hit them just as insurance they don't get away. I've seen instances where a Trapper goes to pick someone up just as they get out of the trap, and the killer doesn't react in time and it starts a chase, which wastes time.

    Also for extra points.

  • @brokedownpalace said:
Ruin is a trash perk anyway. Stop relying on it. I never use it or NOED and regularly get 3-4 kills. I also get plenty of 0-2 kill rounds but that's the way the game works.

I don't "rely" on it, I made the post as a PSA. It's just kind of crazy how little it actually impacts the game now compared to even just last season. It's like night and day.

As long as you don't slug camp/drop reset to stall the game for 20 minutes so you can 4k I really don't care. But don't waste everyone's time try harding for a 4k only to let the guy bleed out and the last take hatch anyway. Just take the 3k and the 2 pip and move on.

Does focusing on gen destruction count?

If you refuse to chase people after 15 minutes of stalling the game, yea it counts. Pick someone and commit, especially if you get the opportunities. Otherwise you are just an ######### trolling and wasting everyone's time.

  • For Xbox I would imagine Frank West from Dead Rising would be the most logical choice.

  • Quentin and Tapp I see the least. Jake's are also kind of rare.

  • As long as you don't slug camp/drop reset to stall the game for 20 minutes so you can 4k I really don't care. But don't waste everyone's time try harding for a 4k only to let the guy bleed out and the last take hatch anyway. Just take the 3k and the 2 pip and move on.

  • On Xbox I find it more annoying that sometimes the game hitches for a second when you use your power or attack. Had a game the other day as Hag on preschool where my screen would freeze for like a half second almost every time I would swing. I knew the survivors I was up against and I knew they were good players, but 3/4ths of the 360's they pulled on me only worked because of this frame rate BS. I stopped playing Huntress, Nurse, and Freddy because it feels worse with them.

  • I'll be willing to bet most of the tunneling is because your survivor group did like 3 gens in the first chase.

Survivors really need to learn when to slow down. If you pressure the killer to kill they will kill. I stopped caring about tunneling this season because 2-3 gens get done in my first chase WITH RUIN UP. If you don't want me to tunnel then 1) don't rush gens and 2) don't rush hooks. Often people save before I'm even out of heartbeat range so I go back and punish it. Usually I try not to tunnel to death hook, just to second hook because I know it's lame, but it's the only way to keep pressure on survivors.

If a killer camps then do gens. If it's you on the hook that sucks but if the others do gens it punishes the killer for camping. I'll only camp if gates are powered, or the survivor goes down in a critical area (eg. no pallets + 2 gens). Most of the time though camping is a losing strategy.

Wait until March when the Razer m/kb comes out. Right now it's on a per game basis but by then it should be native.

  • I wanna ask his GT I probably know him.

I know everyone that's plays this game on Xbox LOL I see them all the flippin' time.

  • The only things I would change are:
    1) DS only works for the obsession. For every other instance of DS increase the skill check size by 10% or something.
    2) Increase generator regression rate to something like 1:3 where currently it's 1:4.
    3) Make exit gate progress regress to the most recent checkpoint if stopped (25%, 50%, 75%).
    4) Do something about hatch standoff. I've given ideas on this before but it doesn't matter just make it not a thing anymore.
    5) Make Doc's shock not stop you from vaulting but instead force a slow vault. Increase the range a tad and maybe make it a bit faster to compensate.

  • Because developers think console players are neanderthals that can't handle fast aim speeds.

I play high sensitivity on almost all shooters. I turn off aim assist too when it's an option. If you play console a lot you can aim just fine.

Because of the faster vault speed, being Myers one of the few Killers who can speed it up without using Bamboozle (which is the other perk that usually comes with vault speed builds). Still not worth a slot, but whatever.

I'm aware of that but the faster vault speed is so little, Bambo is way better for that because it's a flat rate all the time and blocks the window. It's just WHY???

  • Killer sees 4 survivors in a lobby

  • There is probably at least 3 spots per tile, with a few exceptions like the hill tile. Shack has 2, one inside one outside. Most structures have 1 or 2, or none at all.

  • Every survivor runs it because healing is pointless with anti-heal meta. You are better off using Iron Will/Adren and just being injured most of the game.

Also run NOED it counters Adren pretty well.

Not really. If every time you have a one shot available you use it on someone that's injured it's a waste. If I jump out and sponge your EW tier 3 when you were about to down another survivor, particularly the obsession, trust you will be singing a different tune.

personally I wouldn't because it's a down regardless. I'd love if the injured guy kept throwing themself at me to "waste" my one shot. better that than him sitting on a gen instead

You activated my trap card! No really a lot of killers think this way. It's not until the gates are powered and you have 0 hooks on everyone else, DS is still in play, and 90% of pallets are still up that you realize your mistake.
