probably.
i really wish we would get the bakers house or even the guest house from re7
-
kindred as a basekit but make it so you cant see the killers aura but instead you can see the other survivors. this change wouldnt benefit swf so i dont see why it cant be a basekit. also kindred is a general perk which means removing it and turning it into a basekit wouldnt cause too much harm.
barbecue and chilli as a basekit. this one has way more problems. i feel like it would be too generous to killers like billy or nurse. bbq is also a teachable perk so the devs would probably have to replace one of bubbas teachables. bbq also has 2x bloodpoints so that would cause even more issues. overall, bbq basekit would be way jankier than a kindred basekit
-
trapper is really boring to go against. whenever you step into a trap youre like "come on how the hell was i supposed to see this #########?". his power is nothing exciting and every time you go to a loop you need to pray that it isnt trapped.
-
i would make an addon that gives her 10 explosive traps that she can put on generators instead of reverse bear traps that kill the survivor (kind of like freddys dream pallet addon). each time a survivor starts repairing the generator, they have to hit 5 ds skill checks in a row. succeeding all skill checks will get rid of the trap and the survivor can start repairing the gen again. failing a skillcheck however will take away a health state. lets say youre healthy, a skill check will put you into the injured state. youre injured, you go into the dying state. i dont know what this would look like but it seems pretty fair to me

I would reduce the time it takes for her to enter crouch mode.
that would encourage teabagging. ghostface already has that problem
-
oh my god this buff is so good. a perk that actually punishes tunneling but isnt abusable at the same time.
-
hes better than killers like wraith but hes still d tier. C tier if i feel extra generous. but hes definitely not better than pig, let me explain why:
pigs reverse bear traps can be used to stall and make survivors lose a ton of gen pressure, even better with addons. her dash attack makes a good combo with perks like stbfl which you can also use to mindgame a lot of loops. 0 terror radius in crouch mode lets you surprise survivors that are working on gens where they cant really see you coming.
i havent played against the buffed trickster which means he could be a meta killer for all i know but hes definitely not gonna be better than pig
-
Doctor. for some reason every doc curbstomps my solo queue team. he also gives me severe headaches and gets me to the brink of dcing. its just not fun having him know your location 24/7.
i know you only wanted one but ill give you more
Hag. her traps have no counterplay besides crouching. her addons are even nastier. you step on a trap and suddenly she pops up behind you with no audio queue. got hooked in the basement? expect 10 million traps around it. make your choice is her favorite perk btw.
Bubba. one of my favorite killers to verse if he doesnt play like a scumbag. but lets be honest, most bubbas just play him to facecamp. like dude, why the hell are you dedicating an entire game to ruin it for other players?

Alright then here it is, get ready for one hell of a mouthful. Also @Dabihwow, I updated it a little since you last saw it.
Base Movement Speed: 115%
Terror Radius: 32 Meters
Height: Tall
The Patriarch’s power is called Family of a Thousand sins.
Passives: The Patriarch will always break pallets, walls, and generators 15% faster.
Special Attack: Welcome To The Family
The Patriarch will lunge forward at high speeds. Successfully hitting a survivor will cause The Patriarch to impale and and lift them high into the air. The survivor will be faced with three difficult skill checks.
- Failing no skill checks will apply the Hunted status effect.
- Failing one skill check will apply the Hunted status effect and the Hindered status affect for 30 seconds.
- Failing two skill checks will apply the Hunted status effect and injure the survivor.
- Failing three skill checks will apply the Hunted status effect and put the survivor into the dying state.
The Hunted status effect will reveal the survivor with Killer Instinct for 10 seconds and cause the Oblivious and Exposed status effects for 45 seconds. The Hunted effect is triggered when a survivor repairs a generator, heals another survivor, sabotages a hook, cleanses a totem, or unlocks a chest and it cannot be removed until one of those actions is performed. Only one survivor can be Hunted at a time.
Special ability: Diabolical Device
After three generators become powered or you close the hatch, the Doomsaw will spawn close nearby and it’s aura will be revealed in white. Once activated The Patriarch will lose Welcome To The Family and will gain access to Frenzied Sprint and Frenzied Rage.
Frenzied Sprint: The Patriarch will revv the Doomsaw for 2 seconds, before rushing forward at extremely high speeds. Once a revv is started, it cannot be cancelled. Any survivor that is hit while sprinting will be put into the dying state. Colliding with any objects or failing to hit any survivors will stun the Patriarch for 3 seconds.
Frenzied Rage: Pressing the Attack Button while revving The Doomsaw will activate Frenzied Rage. During Frenzied Rage The Patriarch will swing The Doomsaw widely back and forth downing any survivor in its path. Colliding with any obstacles or failing to hit any survivors will stun The Patriarch for 4 seconds.
While Holding The Doomsaw:
- The Patriarch’s base movement speed will be decreased to 110%.
- All basic attacks will instantly put the survivors into the dying state, but have a longer wind up.
At any time, The Patriarch may call on The Entity to reset the Doomsaw back to its original position. The Patriarch will regain access to Welcome To The Family. The Patriarch will have to reactivate the Doomsaw if he wishes to use it again.
“My little girl has given us a gift, and this gift is with me always. As you can see, the family is only a part of her gift. Which-in a word means, you’re #########!” - Jack Baker
The Patriarch comes with three teachable perks:
Hex: Tamperer: You enjoy toying with your victims, and forcing them to play your games. So long as this hex remains uncleansed, whenever a generator is repaired, all other generators become blocked for 30/45/60 seconds. Any survivor currently repairing a generator will be forced off of it.
“Hahaha-oo-ee! Hell of a game, right? - Lucas Baker
Corpse House: You’ve seen things, you know their weakness. When a survivor unhooks another survivor, they suffer from the Exhausted status effect for 80 seconds. If the survivor doesn’t have an Exhaustion perk, they instead suffer from the Hindered status effect for 80 seconds. Corpse House has a cooldown 120/10/100 seconds.
“Let’s see you scamper your way out of this!”- Marguerite Baker
Mortal Morality: You know your prey can’t keep playing the hero game forever. When a survivor unhooks or takes a protection hit, their repair speed is decreased by 10/15/20% for 45 seconds. Mortal Morality has a cooldown of 80/70/60 seconds.
“You can’t keep doin’ this forever.” - Jack Baker
Add-on’s:
Brown:
- Cooked Crow: A cooked crow found in the microwave inside the Bakers guest house. Slightly Increase The Patriarch’s passive breaking speed.
- Rusty Saw Blades: Rusty saw blades the infected Jack hung around his property. Slightly increase movement speed during Frenzied Rage.
- Receipt List: A receipt list of things the newly infected Jack purchased. It contains nothing but dog collars and wooden planks. Slightly increase the duration of Killer Instinct revealed by Hunted.
- WHERE'S MY MOWER!?: An angry note scrawled out by the infected Jack to his family demanding to know where his lawnmower is. Tremendously decrease movement speed while in Frenzied Sprint and Frenzied Rage. Increase Doomsaw bloodpoint score events by 100%.
Yellow:
- Sturdy Rope: The rope Jack sent Zoe to retrieve on the night of the storm. She later used it to barricade a door from him. Slightly increase how close the Doomsaw spawns to The Patriarch.
- Travis’s Letter: A letter written by a man named Travis to his girlfriend. It reads of a plan he came up with to escape the Bakers. It’s a shame he would end up another one of their victims. Moderately increase movement speed during Frenzied Rage.
- Eveline’s Leather Boot: A leather boot belonging to Eveline. Moderately increase the duration of Killer Instinct revealed by Hunted.
- Hatch Key: A key to a barbed hatch that Ethan used to escape from Jack. While trying to escape through it, the infected Jack severed Ethan’s leg. Slightly increase the duration of Frenzied Rage.
- “Derelict House Footage” - Tape: A video tape depicting the arrival of the Sewer Gators team to the Bakers Guest house. The cameraman Clancy Javis would be taken prisoner by the Bakers. Slightly increase the duration of the Exposed status effect triggered by Hunted.
*Note: The rest of the add-on's are currently work in progress.
Mori: The Patriarch firmly plants his weapon in the ground beside him and taunts the survivor to get up. After some time, the survivor struggles to their feet and turns around to stare at The Patriarch. Taking advantage of this, The Patriarch steps forward and grabs the survivor with his left hand, adjusts his glasses, welcomes the survivor to the family, and then unleashes a brutal punch. As the survivor gets knocked back down to the ground, The Patriarch walks over and crushes their head like a melon. Both the survivor and The Patriarch see the mori in first person.
Dialogue: During the trial, The Patriarch may speak. Different voice lines can be triggered when completing certain actions. The voice lines have a 25% to activate. While wandering, every thirty seconds not spent in a chase will have a 10% chance to trigger a voice line.
Wandering:
- “You know imma find you right? And when I do…”
- *Mumbling “Where’d that little ######### get to…?”
- “No-no. Shut up! You ain’t real!”
- *Mumbling “I was gonna be her father…”
- “This is all too fun.”
- “Here piggy piggy piggy!”
- *Whimpering “Marguerite…”
- “You can’t hide from me!”
- *Mumbling “Shut up, just shut up…”
- “What? You playin’ hide and seek?”
- “What are you afraid of?”
- “You ain’t smart enough to hide from me.”
- “I know where you are. Come out now. I won’t be angry.”
- “I’m on to you!”
- *Whimpering “No one loves me…”
Finding a survivor:
- “Don’t move now!”
- “You thought you’d just slip out before dinner was done!?”
- “Here’s daddy!”
- “You ain’t gettin’ away!”
- “Miss me?”
- “Hello there! How’ve ya been?”
- “Here I come!”
- “No way out, ya know!”
- “I see you!”
- “You think you got what it takes to join the family? Prove it.”
- “It’s just you and me now.”
- “It’ll feel good, I promise!”
- “You’re wasting your time!”
- “Where in the hell do you think you’re going to?”
- “I’m an old man, you can’t take on an old man?”
- “I got the gift runnin’ all through me! All through me!”
- “Stay right there!”
- “Get ready for it!”
- “Stay still!”
- “It’s only gonna sting a little bit!”
- “Here it comes!”
- “Well now, there you are.”
- “I found you. No more runnin’ around.”
- “Found ya!”
- “Hold still!”
Hitting a survivor:
- “Imma gon’ squash you like a bug! Hope Marguerite didn’t hear that…”
- “Poor thing.” *Snickers
- “Let’s finish this - you and I.”
- “This is the end, you know?”
- “Welcome to paradise.”
- “Don’t be scared.”
- “Sorry bout’ that. You alright?”
- “You’re part of the family now.”
- “I told you… don’t you ######### with me!”
- “This’ll hurt me more than it hurts you.”
- “I about dozed off there for a minute.”
- “Are you havin’ fun yet!?”
- “This only ends one way.”
- “Every day it’s the same thing…”
- “Don’t lose your head!”
- “Guess what? You’re gonna die!”
- “You can’t keep doin’ this forever.”
- “I can’t die. But you can.”
- “You’re not getting out of here.”
- “You’ll choke on your blood before I’m done with you!”
Getting stunned:
- “Oh, no, no, no, no…! Now you gonna get it!”
- “Oh boy! Now look what you’ve done, #########!”
- “######### you and the horse you road in on!”
- “######### you!”
- “Hah, you think that’s gonna do you any good? Really?”
- “Shitcock!”
- “Cut it out!”
- *Grunts “Lucky break.”
- “OK, have it your way.”
- “That’s not very nice.”
- “Feisty, ain’t ya?”
- “Oh yeah, that’s real nice!”
- “Well now, ain’t you somethin’?”
- “Your life ain’t worth a bucket of piss!”
- “I ain't got time for this!”
- *Grunts “I’ll show you how to really hurt somebody!”
- “Now you’re just being rude!”
- “You think imma just let that stand?”
- “You’re gonna wish you had the good sense to lay down and die!”
- “I’ll make you wish you’d never been born!"
Activating the Doomsaw:
- *Wicked laughter
- “Grooooovey!”
Mori:
- “Come on, come on!”
- “Welcome to the family.”
wow, this is the best killer concept ive ever seen. his perks are reasonable, his powers seem a bit busted but theyre fair enough. i love how his power progressively changes. i really like the quotes, they gave me huge nostalgia. i thought jack as a killer was going to be lame but this has changed my mind

I would like to know your location.
Seriously though, Jack is ######### epic. Like the dude forced you to shoot him in the head for shits and giggles, he wields a dual-bladed chainsaw, and he mutates into one of the coolest looking bosses in the series. He has so much charisma to him. You see him start out as a loving father, only to descend into a horrific monster who cuts his own son's arm off to teach him a lesson. You genuinely feel for the guy as you watch him breakdown and beg Ethan to end his family's misery.

I don't know whether you're referring to Mr. X or Jack in your final sentence, but both of them look nothing like Deathslinger. Mr. X for obvious reasons, and Jack wheres a bright yellow and green shirt with tan trousers, while Deathslinger wheres a dark brown leather overcoat and wields a harpoon gun. I don't see the resemblance.
As @Dabihwow mentioned, I made a fan made chapter for Jack if you'd like to see how I think his power could work.
in my last sentence i was referring to mr x. i dont know why but mr x really reminds me of the deathslinger for some reason.
also im really interested in your concept for jack as i cant imagine what how his power would work
-
i want ethan or chris redfield. preferably ethan but he cant really have any cosmetics.
-
call me unoriginal, call me crazy. F13 would make a great chapter. camp crystal lake would be a great map along with tommy and jason as characters. i highly doubt we'll get it due to legal issues and because we already have trapper who is basically wannabe jason.

Jack is the most human yet one of the scariest villians to have ever graced RE, and his boss fights are ######### phenomenal you fight him in a car, which he uses to harm himself, puts a bullet in his head willingly, and then you fight him in a ######### chainsaw duel how is that not COOL!?
re7 is my favorite. jack was really scary in the game but i just cant imagine him and his power in dbd. same goes for mr. x. he just looks like deathslinger 2.0
-
i really dont want it to be mr x. he looks like deathslinger 2.0
-
why jack baker? he doesnt look as cool as other bosses
-
make it so the perk doesnt hide blood.

Actually, I think deliverance is sometimes detrimental to use in solo queue. Yeah sure, it can help you when your teammates leave you on hook, but what happens when they don't? Most of the time a teammate will rescue you, but if you have deliverance and use it there is a good chance that your teammate will have already wasted their time to come get you and it would have been better to let them rescue you.
Kindred tells you a lot more than just where the killer is, it lets everyone know what everyone is up to which is valuable information.
In end game, you should probably be on second stage or death hook if you have been taking hooks for your teammates.
you are overestimating my solo queue teammates. i got hooked and all of them waited at the exit gate teabagging. the killer wasnt even hardcore camping so they easily couldve gotten it. i feel like deliverance completely removes a lot of solo queue issues while kindred still has you relying on teammates to some extent.
-
survivor: quentin- in the movie he seems like a really good friend. his goblin face is also adorable
killer: wraith- ive read his backstory and he doesnt even seem evil. id invite him to play some dbd
-
meanwhile i get bm'd and facecamped for no reason.
-
decisive strike needs a buff. i doubt theyll do it but it would make the perk actually help prevent tunneling:
right now the killer just eats the stun and forces you out of the game anyway. a great buff would be to make it so your scratch marks and pools of blood were gone for the duration of the stun. also increase the stun duration to 7 seconds, it may sound like a lot but those 5 seconds feel like 3 seconds. not to mention the fact that the stun animation already eats up a solid second or two.
-
saying wait out dead hard is the same as saying "do bones"
-
try bringing undying with it.
-
wdym, the killer finds me in the first 10 seconds.
-
deliverance is way better. sure kindred can have its plays but with deliverance you dont waste your teammates time (which they probably wouldve spent self caring in a corner anyway). also kindred doesnt help camping, all it does is tell the other survivors that going for the unhook is a death wish. deliverance can also come in clutch in the end game when the killer hooks you next to an open exit gate. there were so many times where i wished i had the perk

90% of the killers i get are red rank
-
spirit still gets consistent 4ks. shes so frustrating to go against when i dont have iron will, like THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WHEN IM INJURED AND SHE PHASES? oh and not to mention she kills the perk iron will with stridor
-
i love the new struggle. i dont have to get a finger cramp every time i go into struggle. but i have a feeling that solo queue teammates will SOMEHOW miss those huge skill checks

Left behind is an insurance perk. If you survive to the end, it increases your chance of escape. However, Sole Survivor rewards you each time a teammate dies. Thus, I was trying to shift it from that towards something more productive and trying still maintain a solo/alone play style.
the thing with your rework is that you have to rely on your teammates not being morons. solo q survivors would probably kill this perk just like we'll make it cuz most of them run to the corner of the map to self care for 5 minutes. but it synergizes well with ds, ill give it that
-
@Shymare_11 said:

It still promotes the death of your teammates and for what it give probably doesn’t have much value unless you’re planning to gen rush you way to freedom, which is a strategy I guess. Also the ability to complete 25% progression is only worthwhile for generators since they are really the only thing that matter. I dislike the way this perk is but it is a valid way to change Sole Survivor which resembles the original reiteration more.
the tokens can be used as like a better left behind. the killer closes hatch, and then if you have a token or two you actually stand a chance of getting out (by opening the exit gate with the tokens). the perk should live up to its name or they should just scrap it and give laurie a new teachable
-
ash, something about him just makes me way more excited to play the game
-
i would say sole survivor needs a complete rework but not the one you just mentioned:
each time a survivor gets sacrificed or killed, gain a token
tokens are used to instantly complete 25% of any action
you need to press the active ability button to use a token.
if you are the last survivor alive, vaulting speed is increased by 15%
if this is too op, you can make it so it doesnt work on generators.
-
it can be the best perk in the game, but it can also be worse than head on. it just depends on the map.
i usually dont push my luck so i only run it when i bring a specific map offering
-

To me this update seems more neutral than anything. For example
For example many hate BTs buff against stealth killers. I think it now is just better at the thing it is supposed to be doing. And these undetactable shenanigans really shouldn't have existed in the first place
OoO is also more fair to killer than the old one. Honestly we need to see how it works in matches, theorising with this rather complex perk is nonsense. And the gen speed only increases with your little build if the killer is looking at you while the aura is seen, not as bad as you make it seem.
Zanshin tactics is a nice buff. Not groundbreaking but I know people who use it successfully and will be happy
Twins and Demo, while nerfed, also got a buff to compensate. Not saying these changes are good, but aaying they got nerfed is wrong. No one took portal add ons anyway, now having one for free might be more useful than people think. Let's just see how it feels first.
Freddy got nerfed tho, but that's a good thing
The devs like to monitor killer behaviour after a change, I'm pretty sure they are still open to changes and they obviously didn't want to potentially overbuff them. Trickster is the best example of this.
ive seen the new ooo in game, it is a nice and convenient perk to have in solo q but it doesnt make the killer bust a nut over it anymore.
also i am probably the only survivor main that thinks freddy was fine. i mean cmon, they ruined the only thing that actually helped him in chases
-
i mean they did nerf ds and about half of the players got upset by it. not to mention the broken pallet stuns. they gotta make it up to survivors somehow. also there were also some killer buffs, some direct some indirect:
ooo change- swf wont be able to have the location of the killer 24/7. a buff to solo survivors but lets be honest, who gets crushed by solo q these days?
zanshin tactics buff- might help some mindgames, a weak perk but it might help you predict a survivors next move
trickster buff- playing him doesnt make you want to rip your scalp off anymore.
-
calm spirit should be replaced with self care. not that its better or anything, its just for the memes.
-
hes not a meta killer, but now he stands a chance to get a 4k. id say hes D or C tier.
-
im at rank 4 and i just got matched with:
a rank 13
a rank 9
a rank 8
and a rank 14
seriously, i have to dodge lobbies with default skins cuz im worried about them being morons.
(i know skins dont necessarily mean skill but most of the time theyre new players who just got the game)
-
they were a bit too harsh on him. they killed the only thing that would actually help him in chases. i agree with the alarm clock and addon nerf (to some extent even the snare limit)
-
i can see why you want it but if the killer really wanted to force you out of the game they would just eat the ds and continue tunneling you. ds counters tunneling but it still doesnt feel good enough to stop it
-
its legit one of the worst perks in the game without the buff. its also a good counter to spirit so you dont have to 50/50 every single mindgame

I can't bring a rainbow map every game. Do you think I'm a BP billionaire?
you dont need a rainbow map. after a generator gets done you can check out the highlighted totem spots to see if theyre the hex
-
freddy is good if you play to win. i know hes gonna get nerfs but they might revert them.
pyramid head is fun and a strong killer
-
50% of throwing teammates and me being the only one the killer wants, 50% of my teammates not being morons and the killer not being a total scumbag
-

They explained why he was nerfed.
Freddy was annoying and was overperforming by a huge margin. He deserved a nerf.
This might be a little too hard of a nerf but we'll see.
ive seen way more posts complaining about spirit and nurse but ok. the thing that annoys me about this nerf is that freddys only ability that actually helps him during chases is now not even as useful
