Do y’all not see my exposed status twice in this video? Undying protects the lit totem so as if u take it out undying is taken out instead of the hex, I was exposed at the beginning when a totem across the map was taken out, then exposed again when I took out another lit totem , I looked at their perks at the end also, haunted grounds was their only exposed perk
Have you not read undying? If another hex is cleansed undying becomes that hex. Not gets destroyed instead. So haunted *gets cleansed exposing the survivors* undying:then becomes haunted grounds.

I dont mind giving it a shot. I have some fun builds i wanna run anyway. And with the mmr what i got to lose anyway. Movements like this never work though tbh.

Lol no thanks, i don't want full immersive m1 builds with prove and a bunch of sneaking perks to be viable to farm bloodpoints, that's the last thing this game needs.
Removing the bp category cap would change virtually nothing. Prove thyself is still very run to do gens quicker. This just makes it easier on wraith and pig and hag who can't generate like say chases or pig with deviousness. And helps in the case where a killer chases one survivor the whole game all 4 survivors don't suffer by maxing out only 1 category. The killer by chasing 1 survivor can literally max out Deviousness and chaser easily. Survivors don't get such a luxury and get hurt when a killer tunnel visions. Or another case is afk wraith. Once your gen points are maxed out after the 2nd gen then what? You still get nothing in the other categories but alittle in survival. This is for the better in a lot of ways. Also go ahead run prove thyself and quad team a gen to get 32k objective makes my disrupting as killer easier.

What kind of team plays like that?
What do I do if I'm the "Gen-dedicated team member" and I get chased? Throw Stake Out at the killer?
Survivors need a rounded build as well to survive, being in a swf with friends helps with coordination, sure, but you can't the decide who gets chased and who doesn't, removing the cap would help only against afk killers and hard tunnelers, which are one of the most frustrating things you can find
Don't act like killers don't get enough bloodpoints from matches please, someone else already pointed out to you that chasing and downing survivors is usually enough to fill 3 of the 4 categories
Well said while the killer is pretty much doing fine since their somewhat filling their categories while their chasing the one person all 4 survivors pretty much suffer because they only get their one category maxed and thats it. The killer literally decides if the survivors get anything in some ways.

Killers dont need that for the most part. Every Killer BP-Category fills up at the same time. Survivors can only do one thing at a time to gain BPs AND have to share their BP-sources with others - if you dont get an Unhook, you get only a few Altruism-BPs. If you get chased all game, you will max out in Boldness but miss anything else. And so on.
It helps Killers a bit, mainly those who have bad Deviousness-gains (like Pig) or bad Chase gains (like Twins). But USUALLY, Killers dont need this in the first place, still they would profit from it.
I really dont know how you can turn this into an us vs them-Argument, where you bring up that Killers have to play with specific Builds while Survivors get BP-Farming Builds. (Let alone that the best BP-Farming Tool is STILL on the Killers side...)
I thought personally their thinking like a doctor/legion with like distressing will get like a easy 32k each match. But thinking on it those two already most likely do that so does bleed even change that much? If i don't get near max bp with those two thats on me lol.

"You are under the assumption that people create their build to maximize the bloodpoint gains, instead of basing them on the killer capabilities"
If you were in a swf you could have each player make a build around one of the bp catagories simply to just get bp bleed over.
"I'm not going to change my build because of that, because I still need some gen regression, some chase perk and some tracking to win the match"
Exactly, Killers don't have that option they need a rounded build. Were as a team of survs could just have 1 player run 4 perks for gens, one for heals one for loops etc, and the bleed over points would get them more bp.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2486516#Comment_2486516
Then the killer would get the same limited points.
Yes and the killer goes in not caring about getting that little bp because their ego gets alittle bigger at the thought of finally catching me. Despite that being how this game works you can't run forever. Bloodlust and use of resources make that impossible. Survivors shouldn't be punished and dragged down with the killer by all 4 of the survivors getting minimal points because the other 3 had to stay on gens the whole game and the one in chase was just that. Thats the killer deciding whether the survivors get anything or not. Which should not be the case.

I get the feeling then it would just make people have snowball builds, full chase perks or gens etc. Rather than a balance like Killers are forced to have.
Oh so i deserve to get 13k points because a killer chased me all game? And then camped me to death so all i got maxed was chaser. Didnt do a gen becauae killer wouldnt stop chasing. I was the only one hooked so no altruism. And i died because of a facecamp so no survival. A lot of that seems like punishing me for the killers actions.

Pinhead makes it good at least it alerts you when a survivor picks up the box.

Well once more it takes more than a few matches for the system to get into full motion. I feel like people really are not even giving it a chance. (Not necessarily you just people in general).
But I get that's frustrating for sure, I've yet to play either side. I wanna hop on but might just wait til the rank reset so I get all my bps I want for both sides.
7th game wasnt to bad. 2 escapes 2 deaths and i actually double pipped. Good trickster to. Hopefully its up from here.

It takes a bunch of games to hone in. Patience is a virtue.

He's certainly challenging, and arguably has a higher skill cap than most killers, but I really don't think he is harder than Nurse, not by a long shot.
Maybe this is just coming from someone whos played nurse a lot on ps5 now. But whenever i form a portal beside a survivor i think "hey if i was nurse i would actually be there and not hitting them with chain to slow them". Sure nurse is slower then pinhead but i personally feel when their both say at a loop as nurse i could just tp ontop of the survivor and down them vs what i have to do as pinhead for the down. Maybe its just my muscle memory from nurse and the power from playing her and getting those downs makes pinhead seem harder?

Let me guess you listened to Scott Jund again he’s like the magic conch shell of dbd whatever he says, we have to take his opinion as fact. No offense to him but I’m not a fan of this it gets annoying
Nah im just speaking from a person who played on the ptb with my ps5 controller to get some practice in for the console release. Then when he came out on console thats just how it feels as a console player. Im playing a character who uses nurse tp to form a portal. Then needs to hit a skillshot that hopefully doesn't screw me over. Then need to catch up and hopefully catch them at a loop where his power is actually rewarding. Coming from a person who actually can play huntress and nurse well by themselves idk whyd id play this hybrid imo. Besides his fun factor obviously.
-
@Trickstaaaaa said:
Not at all. I think people are overestimating how difficult he is. He is nowhere near as hard as nurse. He is kind of hard to use at the beginning but once you get the handle of his hook it becomes pretty easy to use. He might be hard on controller however.
Yeah your basically playing a killer which has the aspects of huntress, nurse, and clown all together. Which sounds and feels like a nightmare. Imo obviously.

Same i had that problem especially against a pinhead with longer box solving addon it was close to impossible.

Triangle isn't the default escape button though, nor is it the recovery button. It seems like you've changed your controller configuration and you've introduced a conflict by using triangle for multiple options.
EDIT: Nevermind, seems it happens with default R1 as well. Still it appears to be a rare bug.
Was gonna say it doesnt matter the keybind its recovery prioritizing over hatch escape (which shouldn't happen)

Killers perks imo should never be "earned" survivors should be punished for not doing totems.
Devour, make your choice, no way out, numerous other killer perks that require earning but have amazing effects despite the fact. Noed is mostly comparable to devour. Devour can be cleansed 30 seconds into the match. Devour requires 3 non camping unhooks from 24 or more meters away to get the instadown. Noed can't be cleansed immedately. Immedately has a instadown. And has a haste effect over devour. And i can stand in a corner and wait for 5 gens to pop and reap the benefit.
-
Myers problem is in tier lists ive at least seen hes near the bottom and personally playing him hes pretty lackluster and powercrept. The only saving grace is how insane some of his addons are (the green ribbon for instance) but others are straight up trash (more stalk walking movement speed) id be fine with a GOOD addon pass and some basekit buffs to make his addons consistently useful and some not straight up busted

BHVR did not say that. The term "most balanced Killer" was made up by the Community. And it was made up in 2018 already.
The game got way easier for Killers over the years, logical that the "most balanced Killer" is not the most balanced Killer anymore, when the game got easier.
They did say though "hes in mostly a spot they are comfortable with" and the better player normally comes out on top "and they are pretty happy with how he performs so the changes are slight" the overheat and addon murders isnt slight at all.

A very large part of DbD's gameplay is centered around the asymmetry in the cameras. It would be a different game if Killers had 3rd person camera.
I do think a option to go first person survivor would add some interesting flare and its not like survivors have to enable it. Also makes the game kinda feel scary again imo.
-
You know what undetectable means right? Its debatable premonition and spinechill should still do it. Object still does because the icon lights up and is not linked to the aura reading. So for instance if theres a wraith with the aura reading addon OoO will light up you just won't see his aura. So NO.

What?! NWO activates upon closing of hatch?! Surely that is unintended?!
The entire reason RM was nerfed was because of how brokenly unfair it would be to last survivor upon hatch closing. Heck, even in RM current state at 4 tokens it 100% guarantees the last survivor cannot escape in time if they aren’t the Obsession.
Nah its gotten the new clause the same as noed where it activates apon the gates being powered instead of 5 gens being completed like it used to be. Which closing the hatch powers the gates.
-
Tf...is that.

@TragicSolitude said:
I was squirming all over the hatch and I couldn't get anything but the "recover" prompt to appear. Then the killer closed it.
We definitely need more key binding options. I have it so that the button to heal isn't the same as the button to throw down a pallet. It can mess me up sometimes, though, because having the button to throw down a pallet be "square" means that the button to vault a window is "square." But vaulting is only "square" when I play survivor; it's still R1 when I play killer, because that's the better button to use for vaulting. Ugh, I hate that. We should be able to be a lot more specific about our key bindings.
Same thing happened to me the upset levels are real. Also don't have selfcare and try to unhook you might selfcare 3 times in a row.

Loading into this map, lerys, haddonfield, hawkins, and midwich is hell for me as billy. Its more then just 1 map.
-
I feel like this would be necroing but the title is true so still applicable lol.
-
Its more so a question of if its worth a perk slot though and does it help survivors? You get greats so often because thats half the skillcheck since unnerving presence lowers the good but not great so you could end up making the survivors do the gen faster with great progression bonus. Then the increased skillcheck chance on top of that and obviously its tr based which is one of its own disadvantages. Its literally a killer perk that mostly helps survivors.
-
@danielmaster87 said:
The skill checks become too hard for console players but still too easy for PC players.

I don’t think that is fair that the killer is able to see the survivor items…

Killers have perks like lightborne which why would you run if theres no flashlight?

Kinda sucks to have the most probably important event when consoles are like the most unplayable theyve ever been. But don't worry theres a bugfix after the event is over! So after all console players have missed out on the entire event. How fun.

That's still much MUCH faster than grinding it out.
And who would p3 when i just see them use hacked legacy (for the originals obviously)

Just report for holding the game hostage. If survivors don't actually attempt to advance the gamestate (do gens) for a prolonged period of time it becomes bannable.

Wait out Dead Hard.
Not when they use it for distance to make it to a pallet. Its a literal uncounterable play. Say your both running to a pallet and the survivor misjudged how far the pallet was so you hit them here right? Nope E to the pallet they are invincible so theres nothing you could do and they just instadrop. Now thats at minimum 20 seconds added to chase because of pressing E.

yes, which is actually incredibly expensive (shocker, i know) and royalties need to be paid annually to continue using the IP.
Kinda wonder how fortnite has so many licenses if you have to pay annually to have the character. Once they have to renew all those licenses thats gonna suck lol.

Myers doesn't look so bad.

OK I do have an answer...it should work as stated "when the exit gates are powered" - so like NOED, it does not need the generators to have been completed.
Thank you!

@Mandy said:
Can you explain more about what you mean please?
Okay so compare it to noeds text when the exit gates are powered you get a speed boost. NOED still applies on hatch closure because the hatch closing powers the exit gates. No way out has that same condition but doesnt block the exit gates.

I think for 10 seconds after the stun yeah no scratch blood trail or grunts of pain. Its dumb a nurse/spirit/wraith or really any killer can redown you quickly renduring the stun kinda useless and nothing against certain killers.

I agree with nurse being broken, but not SWF
Ever hear of oracle? Agony?
https://youtu.be/0OUo6CKy-qothis is a nurse with a over 100 4k streak and they lost their second match against them. And even the first game isnt much of a win when the best strat is to 3 gen camp with ruin undying. This team will only really lose against a good nurse they have beaten amazing spirits before multiple times. Nerf nurse and you remove the killers only option for god teams.

David would be nice, I think. Protective, strong, but also strikes me as the person to enjoy the occasional cuddle. Jake I wouldn't mind, either, he's pretty cute, and you can all fight me on this but so is Dwight (also the fact that Jake seems like he wouldn't try to have a conversation with you which I am 100% here for, and Dwight's magical talent of serious manipulation would be helpful too).
In terms of killers, Wraith springs to mind instantly. I wanna cuddle the poor man, he didn't deserve anything he went through. Trapper would be a nice pillow for obvious reasons, and also didn't deserve what he went through. Maybe Joey because he's kinda fit. Pyramid Head for both the cake and the death- I am more than happy with both.
Honestly wraith trapper and billy just went through hell when they were young. Billy was outcasted called a freak disowned and put in a wooden shed for his parents to hide their failure of a son. So i sympathize with billy. I do like wraith more though.
To op:Probably Kate.

Don't whine about nurse she used to have omega blink where she could blink halfway cross map for the same charge time as a normal blink.
