Businessess will milk the crowd until sales drop then prices drop, this is how all business is done.
@DrDeepwound Since when do companies lower microtransaction prices after a while? I've only seen the opposite happen.

A thread for me! I am gonna post the long list of suggestions I accumulated, with the help of other users, in my own Clown buff thread a long time ago.
- Minor exhaustion debuff part of base gas. Would require survivors to "take a breather", aka stop running away (thus letting the Clown close in faster) if they want exhaustion gone.
- Intoxication duration increases based upon time spent in the gas.
- Remove the grunting he makes when he vaults a window. It'd allow him so more freedom when it comes to playing mind-games.
- Reduced reload duration.
- Release clouds of gas while reloading.
- No slowdown while throwing.
- Increased intoxication duration (Eether 10 or 15 by default).
- Increased slow effect (Flask of Bleach by default).
- Generators inside gas automatically start regressing if there's no survivor working on them.
- More bottles, more fun.
- Exposure effect on survivors hit by a bottle (Redhead's Pinky Finger add-on by default)
- Extra potent effect for hitting a survivor directly, like stronger slow than normal or bigger gas area of effect.
- Survivors hit directly with a bottle get doused in the Tonic, making them leave a trail of gas for a few seconds.
- Survivors who're intoxicated cannot see the Red Stain.
Here's a link to that thread, in case anyone's curious. → https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/61217/so-clowns-the-least-lethal-killer-on-pc/p1

Please no. I'd disable the ######### out of a VOIP system of any kind because I sure as hell don't wanna have to listen to kids screaming at me, at themselves or at others.

@se05239 Imagine a world where bhvr is a rich major publisher/dev. Where we get DbD showcases and spinoffs at E3 that look super high budget. Netflix movies/shows DbD everywhere.
If they continue to get lots of money it could happen.
@Bbbrian2013 In a more realistic scenario, they'd become more like EA or Activision and start devouring other game studios in order to produce microtransaction-ridden garbage for easy money.

@BBQnDemogorgon said:
@se05239 Sounds good to me i hope they get as much money as possible.
More money for bhvr better quality updates in the future
@Bbbrian2013 Aren't you an optimist?

This is just the start.
@MojoTheFabulous Now they got a taste for what they can get away with, so skins are gonna end up being 15 euro per default very soon. That's usually how it goes. The frog doesn't know its getting boiled if you slowly keep raising the temperature.

Honestly fair play on the excellent cosmetics. Both pig cosmetics are simply amazing. The animation and sounds for the weapon are just perfect.
Thanks for putting so much love into these cosmetics and I am really enjoying playing as her. I'm personally using the test subject head with the leather jacket and drill.
@CashelP14 They also learnt that they could get away with inflating prices enough to force people to spend a minimum of 15 euro for a skin, since people are mindlessly buying it. Now they know that the next time they release skins, that they can increase the prices all over and watch the money roll in.
-
If there's other survivors around, I ain't gonna hunt the one with a trap.
-
You kinda got it flipped. Killers used to be weak as ######### and unable to actually win games because how bad map design was and survivor perk values.
-
Add-ons that inflict a status effect that isn't exhaustion, hindered or exposed are useless. Why would you wanna inflict a short duration blindness debuff mid-chase to a survivor who you're going to down and hang on a hook? Its utterly pointless.
-
There's a reason why exhaustion debuff was made to not reduce when survivors were running. Exhaustion perks are insanely strong. If you want Exhaustion to come off faster, then use Vigil or something.

Not necessarily. We're more looking for the best ideas, not so much for art. The artists would have to plan it all out and make some tweaks anyway, so we're not looking for a genuine Bob Ross. That would only be the case for the artwork contest.
@Peanits Eh, I have seen it happen many times before in other game contests.. like in Warframe where I used to be hellova active. When someone experienced drop something good looking in a contest, there's generally no point in participating anymore.
Call me cynical, its just what life has shown me things proceed.
-
I just assume they'll pick entries with the best art.
-
Take it as a sign, I guess.
-
I doodle a bunch.
-
Use the RBTs when you can.
Using crouch can hurt you more than you think, since you're so slow. Its useful for dash-attacking at unsafe pallets but that tactic relies on survivors who cannot see through what you're doing.
-
A M1 killer (for me) is a killer that cannot down a survivor with their power, essentially. A killer that need to chase a survivor down.
Examples would be Trapper, Freddy and Clown.
-
No. The game's coming to an end.
-
Its easily one of the worst maps in the game due the sheer size of the map alone, something it shares with all Red Forest maps, but it also shares the worst from the swamp maps..
Yeah, its one of the worst (if not the worst) for sure.
-
Avoid him. After his.. rework.. he lost too much of his power.
-
I miss the downvote button.

Yes, he was misunderstood by some killer players too
@RoKrueger To be fair, most players saw a killer that couldn't do anything for 7 seconds after finding a survivor, couldn't interrupt survivors from doing things, utterly helpless in certain situations against certain perks..
He did have a lot of issues.
-
While it puts a spin on it, its still just holding more M1.

I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but #4 almost certainly will not happen. Bloodpoint gains are disabled in KYF for a very good reason, and enabling them isn't very likely. It would likely just result in a bunch of people farming for bloodpoints for hours on end, which isn't fun for anyone and is just going to cause people to burn themselves out more than anything.
We are taking a look into the grind and seeing how we can lessen it, though.
@Peanits I made a thread with suggestions on how to improve the BP offerings to make them have more value for money, so to say. I can link you it, if you want.
On topic!
- No. But at least double the cap or something.
- Devotion AND rank rewards are needed dearly in DbD.
- Improving BP gain from offerings and other factors would improve a lot without having to fiddle with that.
- Never gonna happen, dude.
- Would be nice but its never gonna happen either.
-
Killers with those limits are designed to be Fun™ for survivors. The last thing that Behavior would like to do is to create another Nurse, Spirit or Hillbilly. They're too.. oppressive to play again.
-
@slipttees said:
two more survivor gestures would be welcome.
@slipttees If they add more gestures, then they should also change that the entire emote animation needs to play before they regain control of their survivor.
Why? Emote spamming BM'ing gonna end up being even more common, the more emotes we have.
-
It vanished when people realized they could be harder to catch if they ran around objects.

@se05239 Flashlights were fixed in a way that killers couldn't avoid being blinded. It made it a nightmare to for killers.
Back then we even had the bright white screen.
@Tsulan Oh. Back when you could flash a killer mid-animation and when the animation ended, they just dropped the survivor? Thankfully I was on a long break at that point, never got the.. pleasure of playing then.
-
The reason is easy, actually. Because if survivors could get a large dose of BP and keep the BP they've already amassed during the trial from a killer disconnecting, THEY'D TRY THEIR DAMNEDEST TO MAKE THE KILLER DISCONNECT EVERY SINGLE GAME.

@se05239 i AM optimistic here!
They could also break the game like they did with the flashlight "fix" right before howling grounds.
@Tsulan Let's see.. that'd be the lightsaber bug? Where shining a flashlight literally created collision, making you immune to certain attacks as long as you're shining your flashlight?

Trapper's base setup time is abysmal. He needs a minor buff to his trap setting speed at the very least
I can agree with Leatherface needing only minor QoL changes though.
@FluorescentLemon What big guy Mr T needs, is to be able to reset traps without having to pick them up first.

@George_Soros said:
Devs have been gradually closing the difficulty balance between for some time. While survivor is still the more relaxing role, now it can be tough sometimes. Unfortunately, for a good ratio of survivors/killers they can't go perfectly balanced. People like easy games. If the remaining balance issues were to be fixed, there would be a lot less survivors and long ass waiting times for killers.
The other reason is BP, but survivor BP gain will soon be increased, so maybe at least this is gonna get fixed, giving some more incentive to play survivor.
@George_Soros I'd also like to add that the developers should make WGLF easier to stack (like getting a token for healing another survivor, on top of safe unhooks and protection hits) so that farming BP on a survivor becomes a bit easier.
There's literally nothing to lose there.
-
Add it to the perk Small Game? Would be a suitable buff for that perk.
-

thats the usual time to add some bugs.
@Tsulan Aren't you the optimist?

If it comforts you, that killer will probably never get to the purple ranks.

@CoffengMin said:
spoiler its probably a feng cosmetic and a spirit cosmetic the ones who win
@CoffengMin More money in unique cosmetics for DLC characters, as people need to buy the DLC for the character on top of the cosmetics themselves. I hope the developers won't be baised to the art quality itself, as not everyone are godlike artists.
-
Heck no.
-
Borrowed Time doesn't need more buffs. Thanks to Legion, it went from "eh" to "meta" really fast. Its already one of the top perks due to how much time it can potentially waste of a killer's time.

Also good option.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/579584#Comment_579584
At least it can be changed to get stackable bonus up to 100% blood points but only in "Sacrifice" category, similar to other perks like "Prove Thyself", "Beast of Prey", "Distressing", "Thrill of the Hunt" and etc.
I miss the downvote button so much.
-
I'd love it for Trapper if he could reset traps without having to pick them up first. That alone would save him so much time!
-
Waving hands = Killer's close / Camping
That's what I've learnt it meant since I started playing this game and that's what I'll assume it means.
-
So you wanna take away the reason for many killers to not camp?
-
@Crazewtboy said:
The exposed at base for hitting a survivor directly should definitely be part of his base kit. It would help him more in chases and reward killers who have better accuracy.
@Crazewtboy I am personally against that idea as it'd just make the Clown play like the Plague or a Hillbilly, where you just run up into the back of a survivor and use your power to instantly down them.
-
Perfect offering for deranking as you'll not pip if you use one.
But, I rather not use a mori outside dailys. More fun hooking.
-
The map reworks are a indirect buff to most weaker killers, thankfully. There's no real way to just "fix" all killers but reworking the maps is a massive good first step.
-
I play for a while a week or two after every rank reset and then I go on a haitus for a few weeks.
-
Anything is better than mashing buttons to stay alive.
I'd probably say that missing skill-checks wouldn't instantly sacrifice you but rather progressively eat a bigger percentage of your remaining health so that missing skill-checks are definitely to be avoided.
