No.. not really. It feels super slow and awkward.
-
Fixing bugs and glitches ain't worth putting too much time on as it doesn't generate revenue. That's why you see their content team pumping out cosmetics and them releasing a new killer occasionally instead.
That's just how it is, sadly. Doesn't help that their code seems to be made with spaghetti.
-
There's only one Survivor worth playing.
Dwight Fairfield, in his default outfit.
-
You take on it is a variant of a mechanic that was introduced to DbD back in the day, which slowed down the rate a survivor is sacrificed if the killer was too close. It was removed, thanks to survivors exploiting it.
-
Increased chance for addition skill-checks on autodidact? Yes, please!
-
To be honest, if you're fighting a Trapper for the gates then you've already failed escaping twice in the trial. It shouldn't be easy to win at this point.
-
Making it so that you need to press m1 for longer isn't the way to do it, you know. Makes a boring thing even more boring. Adding a secondary objective is the way to do it.
-
I really like him for his aesthetics, both visually and sound (except for that damn vaulting grunt..). His power is thematically nice and looks fine on paper but is really underwhelming in practice thanks to it being.. under-tuned? Feels weak.
I'd love to see Clown getting buffs and QoL fixes (like removing that damnable vaulting grunt) to help him more.
Gonna shamelessly advertise an old "buff Clown" thread I made a while back. Got a long list of buffs in the OP. → https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/61217/so-clowns-the-least-lethal-killer-on-pc/p1

It's happening Soon™ alright. The next chapter, according to the roadmap. So.. September?
-
Oh look, this suggestion again. Good thing it has already been tried out in a PTB and scrapped, thanks to survivors exploiting the mechanic.

Very true, it’s about half of that now if you don’t use the “least expensive” path method and actually want good items at lv 50. Hopefully they’ll reduce the grind even further soon. I’d love to be able to sell useless addons etc honestly, I could deal with the grind, if I was only spending bp on things I actually wanted, also be nice to get 3 perks per web, it was painful getting useless perk after useless perk...
One way to reduce the grind is to increase the BP gain.. like reworking the BP offerings to be actually useful.
Gonna shamelessly advertise an old thread I made about just that → https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/46827/a-rework-of-bloodpoint-offerings/p1
-
When they reworked the bloodweb to not require 120k BP to level up once. Good times, good times.
-
I'd also advocate to rename "Exposed" to "Vulnerable" or something because being "Exposed" indicate that you're visible.
-
Currently;
- Clown
- Trapper
- Doctor

Oh I’m aware as to why the current game did this to me but like I just don’t understand why BHVR has this in the game... like how is that fair lol
The answer to "Why" is actually pretty simple. They're looking to make the most fun experience for survivors as they possibly can, because they're the majority. That's why you need to follow the Rules™ (which coincidentally makes games more fun for the survivors) in order to get pips.
Thankfully.. if you're just playing for BP, you can just play however you want.
-
Enduring was recently nerfed already.
-
You did too good and were punished for it. In order to rank up in the red/purple ranks, you need to play inefficiently and play around with them more. You more or less need to follow the survivors' Rulebook for Killers™ to an extent.
As for the disconnects.. it's just an example of how badly tuned the Emblem System is.
-
Pharmacy, basically. Have no intention of buying the Freddy DLC.
-
Because otherwise he'd be too strong, obviously, and killers that are too strong aren't fun for survivors to play against.
-
The shard gain is intentionally low to push you into opening your wallet and buy Auric Cells like a good little consumer.
-
To be honest, this would only promote more basement camping. If killer needed more point, it should be via a bonus for hunting survivors who've not been on the hook recently.
-
I rather just have a mechanic that makes Hex Totems light up when someone triggers them. Like, when the first survivor triggers the Good Skillcheck debuff from Ruin, its totem lit up. Lullaby lit up when a survivor fail the first skill-check etc.
-
It used to be a thing and people used it to dodge games they thought were going to be too hard (Killer) or if they believed they'd instantly lose (Survivors).
So it was removed to improve the gaming experience.
-
I used to believe that Self-Care was one of the most broken perks in the game, resulting in me loathing everyone who used it. I ended up never using it due to that.
-
I'd say no to free-2-play Dead by Daylight. Why? Because its a small safe-guard against hackers and cheaters in general. Its like how every Free Weekend, there's a massive increase in people who use cheats to make the game miserable for everyone.
-
Silence is compliance.
-
Because people wanted it, sadly. Done nothing but harm.
Btw, if you want to close the box if it reopens, just join a random survivor lobby and close it there, then return back to main menu.
-
I consider myself a Killer main but I play more Survivor.
-
Press the >> arrows. The chatbox will close and you'll never have to endure other people again. Remember to set your Steam Profile so that no one except friends can leave comments and NEVER accept friend requests following games in DbD.
Since VOIP is coming.. toxicity is going to get even worse. I hope we can permanently shut that ######### off.
-
@Peanits Random question. Since we know there's new gestures coming and we know survivors will most likely use them to BM the killer, like they have with the current ones.. are there any plans to make it so that the entire emote animation needs to play out before survivors can move again?
-
"Shoo / go away" and "Thumbs up".

@Peanits said:
It was actually mentioned in the stream, it'll be primarily add-ons. We're not looking to significantly change her base kit. There might be some slight changes, but we're mostly targeting the add-ons. It's just more efficient to do any minor tweaks we need to make to her power while we're already working on her add-ons.
@Peanits "Mainly her add-ons" is exactly what got people worried. If they said "only her add-ons", no one would have cared. Behavior doesn't have a good track record when it comes to small changes..
Nurse 2.0 might be like the new Legion. A laughing stock with a power so handicapping that it's not worth using.
-
About everytime I play Scratched Mirror Myers.

We all know they’d never butcher nurse. They can slightly nerf her but a butchering would cause too much backlash.
Careful, they might see that as a challenge.
-
I am not sure what they'd possibly change about Doctor's ad-dons but Nurse definitely needs her add-ons remade. I am just worried that they'll fiddle with her power to compensate for "upgraded" add-ons.

@JAWS_BDSM said:
Agreed. At least this sound should play when he finishes vaulting/breaking pallet.
So you still can surprise someone.
The removal of the sound altogether is the way to go.

Let's think about this rationally:
BBQ maximum proc = 12 times, easily countered numerous ways.
Alert procs average of over 20 times per match with no maximum telling you where killer is all match. Can't be countered by killer.
therefore, BBQ is not as OP as Alert thread is void.
Don't be silly. Survivor perks couldn't possibly be OP.
-
Considering they'll read your chat logs if you get enough reports, I am sure you're a charming fellow.
-
@Fab said:
This is evidence why we want/need the downvote option back.
Same.
-
Considering how many ways there are for survivors to deny the aura reading by BBQ, its hardly "OP". Hillbilly, the one you prefer, and other mobile killers like Nurse and Spirit (and sometimes Huntress) can make use of the aura reading but the rest?

i’m saying that shouldn’t have to be offered to help both sides of gameplay, it should be part of the game by itself
Wiggling as a mechanic is there to not let killers take you to the best hook, just a hook. You're not supposed to be able to get off the killer's shoulders all the time.

i misworded my post, not less hooks, but more spaced out. it would get rid of your problem of carrying someone half a map for a hook, but would also make killers think more about where they’re doing their hooking. i’m speaking more about how all four survives can all be hooked within 20 feet of each other, and not be in the basement.
Burn the offering that does exactly that.

Well, yes, that would be the obvious and simple fix. I was just thinking about potential mindgames with such a "press x to groan" option.
I dunno what I feel about getting chased by a Clown hammerin' the groan button.
-
I see why not?
-
- Good suggestion. Suggested many times before. 1 free DC per day because sometimes life happens.
- I'd not mind the removal of the end-game chat. I have it disabled anyway.
- It'd not solve anything.
- Even if the survivor would last indefinitely if the killer was camping, there would still be killers camping. Its 85% of the time a mentality. What you could do, instead of adding punishment that'd not solve anything, is to PROMOTE AND REWARD the killer for LEAVING the hook and go hunting. Carrots and sticks.
-
@George_Soros said:
So many times I gave up even trying to make them double vaults, exactly because of that :( The sound makes sense realism wise, him being the amorphous blob that he is, but it still hinders him.
I propose a different fix: add a hotkey to make a groaning sound at will, the same that he makes when vaulting! It would fit his overall character anyway (yes I mean the pervert murderer aspect), and it could fool survivors. Not to mention the meme potential.
Wouldn't just removing the sound altogether mix all the issues to begin with?
-
Dead by Daylight USED to have hooks remain broken indefinitely if sabotaged. It was removed, thankfully, and I'd NEVER want to see it return.
-
I've closed the chat box, made it impossible for random players to leave comments on my Steam profile and I never accept friend/group requests that follow DbD games.
I ain't gonna be talking ######### to anyone and they cannot say anything to me.
-
They're making sure that most killers are fun to play against. That's their goal. And that's why we're seeing nonsensical nerfs.
-

Clown makes loud and distinct noises constantly. He sounds like he's perpetually on the verge of dying from all forms of respiratory diseases simultaneously.
Hahah, that's true. Doesn't change the fact that the distinct breaking/vault noise is something that only the Clown has and that its something that hurt him.
