Then they spam your profile page
You have to set your profile to private, otherwise they will spam it or your friends comment sections if you set your comments to private
I got my profile as "only friends can comment" and I automatically ignore any and all friend requests that come my way following games of Dead by Daylight.

Having the game go automatically to a shorter Egc, would give more chances to pip and be more fun tbh. it also wouldn't be as jarring tbh
Survivors lose nothing from a disconnect unless the Killer DCs on purpose after using Franklins to remove an item from a survivor. Sure, there's no progress made but nothing's lost either.
-
You should totally @ anyone you add to your post, @Yamaoka.
-
Disable the post-game chat window and never open it again.
Then you can play however you want without any salt coming your way.
-
It used to be like that before and it was exploited to no end by survivors.
-
A pair of sharped scissors.
-
There should NEVER be a punishment for people who want to play together with their friends. As much as I dislike facing SWFs, this is not the right way.
Rather. Show who's in a SWF group and with who, and add bonus BP for both Killer and solo survivors who want to play with/against them. The stick is not the right tool in this case, the carrot is. Associate something bad with something good.
-
They'll nerf our wallets by increasing microtransaction prices further.

Oh im not saying they should be rewarded, just that they should have some kind of incentive to escape, and some risk whilst still in the game. the perfect situation would be an ai killer running after survivors, but as that isin't really viable, something to interact with to give them a risk. something like 1000 boldness bp, nothing more then a totem, might keep them in the game long enough for the entity to come snatch them up.
Considering all the spaghetti code that makes up for Dead by Daylight's foundation, I rather just keep the "game instantly ends" functionality of a killer disconnecting.
-
The huge problem I have with disconnecting in general is that IF survivors were to get rewards for a killer disconnecting (rather than just keep what they have and not derank which it is currently), then the amount of survivors who seek to make killers rage-quit would grow tremendously.
-
You make it sound like reworks are all negative.
-
Its hard to just let go sometimes, you know? When chasing a survivor, I occasionally chase them just a bit too long.
-
Google translate tier quality, right here.

I learned you can promote your own concepts here so if you want to see one of mine go to r/DBD ideas for the speed
I'd prefer if you didn't though. I mean, there's some clear bias going on if you think your own fan killer is the best out there.

Clown, sadly. Followed by Trapper and Doctor.

Taking a game hostage means he/she can't "move forward" in the game. When the matches lasted 30+ mins that was taking killer as a hostage.
Is not about how many time last, it's about being forced to stay, meaning for not being punished. The same if the killer hold me in a place where I can't move, yes you can say "The game will last 10 mins as much" but is not about the time itself.
Being kept hostage means, in terms of Dead by Daylight, that your (as a hostage) only way out is to DC.
When you're being blocked in a corner and the EGC timer is ticking down, then you're not being held hostage. If you're blocked at the start of a game and the killer throws his entire game to keep you blocked, while your fellow survivors do the generators and escape (which trigger EGC) then that's not being held hostage either.

Press these two arrows. It'll close the chat window. Never open it again.
It'll save you a SHITLOAD of sanity.

Well, is a hard problem to fix because is not a "problem itself" but a bad behaviour problem. This is taking the player as a hostage in my opinion and should be punished.
Its not taking anyone hostage. Just tab out and watch some memes on 9GAG, go to the toilet and take a piss, maybe call your parents and chitchat for a minute or two.
The game will be over in 2-4 minutes, at absolute worst. Its not like the "good old times" where killers were held hostage by survivors for 30+ minutes for "shits and giggles".
-
Dwight Fairfield, in his default outfit. He's my only P3 all perks (all perks I have, at least) survivor too. The rest are just.. there, I guess.

Well..that seems..kind of rediculous
Yeah, well. That's just the truth of the situation, sadly.
-
Because you bought the killer for ACs, basically. If you bought the DLC with the killer, you'd not be finding their splinters anymore.
-
You can learn a lot of tricks playing lesser killers that'll greatly help you when you play better killers. Optimal pathing, mind-games, red stain manipulation..
But playing a Killer like Hillbilly and not using a chainsaw basically makes you a bad killer but with massive map pressure.. so there's no point in playing lesser killers.

Right now, the thumbs up are not used for anything. They are tracked and we can see who's getting the most. We'd like to use them a little more in the future, so if you've got suggestions, we'd love to hear them.
Give someone another 10% bonus BP plus a few shards on top of everything else if they receive a props. Plus a notification that you got a thumbs up by someone. Very minor thing that promotes positivity which is something this game desperately needs.
Doesn't work between SWFs players to avoid abuse.
-
Eh, good riddance.
-
Decisive Strike - To punish tunneling, mostly.
Borrowed Time - To punish tunneling as well.
Bond - Gives me an early warning by watching other survivors' action. Let's me dump the killer off on someone else if I need a breather.
Iron Will - Let's me lose the killer, even when injured.
-
Nah. Don't rely on stealth and play more aggressively than normal and you'll escape most games against the Doctor.
-
How dare you suggest something that'd indirectly lower the grind by letting players more easily buy things from the shrine of secrets, buy killers for shards from the store AND improve player QoL by letting them more easily buy cosmetics without wasting hundreds of hours to grind enough shards to buy a single set!
-
The most hilarious part of it was that the audio worked perfect for a single update. When the first hotfix came, the audio went back to being garbage. Definitely an intentional change.
-
In Sweden, its forbidden by law to be a criminal.
Its that sort of post.
-
Increasing the generator repair time is the most boring way to "fix" things. I mean, holding m1 for 80 seconds is boring as ######### and having to hold it for 100 to 120 seconds is even more boring.
-
The only sort of randomization I'd love to see go away is how maps are generated. Like, will I have a god window on this map or not.. shouldn't have to be a 50/50 chance to automatically lose in a trial.
-
Yes, and add bonus for killers/solos for playing against SWFs.
-
I think its very unsportsmanlike to ######### on a hook because something wasn't up to liking. Its basically disconnecting with extra steps.
-
Since both killers can be bought for Iridescent Shards.. it's definitely not pay-to-win.
Not to mention that their perks can end up in the Shrine of Secrets.. sooo.. yeah.
-
Monster Hunter Word, mostly.
-
Closed the chat, made commenting on my Steam profile friends-only and never accept friend/group invites following DbD games.. made my DbD experience so much better.

Again these stats have to be taken with a grain of salt since they count DC's as kills in their stats.
↑This.
And with the current DC epidemic plaguing the game.. I'd downright say that they're false.
-
No clue.
-
So his power is basically a Steroid buff that gives him only benefits and wallhacks, with no actual downside when its on cooldown?
That's pretty.. uncreative? There's a reason the old Legion was hated and your killer suffer from the same issue. Once you use your power, survivors cannot do anything.
-
Slap on a totem counter on a perk like Small Game and you'd be set. Behavior love their band-aids and this is a perfect opportunity for one.
-
Why though?
-
Overall, I'd say "Yes" to survivor being more toxic. Their sheer majority in the playerbase alone makes it a statistical truth. Of course, neither side is perfect.

I think Unrelenting dont need to be similar to STBFL. It also doesn`t need to be top tier.
My suggestion is:
- Unrelenting: The cool-down of missed attacks is reduced by 16/22/30%. Additionally, Lunge attacks are sigthly longer.
I approve of this. We don't have a lunge-attack increasing perk yet and Unrelenting is a perfect fit. Additionally, its values could be switched up where the cooldown of missed attacks are fixed but the lunge-attack's duration is increased a bit for each level.
-
Matchmaking should definitely focus on the highest ranking member of a SWF, if you ask me.

Why doesn't the killer deserve to end a boring game quickly after Survivors ######### out?
This. I hate farming and I don't wanna fool around for 10+ minutes because someone DC'd. I rather just kill everyone and move on.
-
The best buff that Trapper could get in the current state of the game, is the ability to reset his traps without having to pick them up first. This one single change would greatly improve him, as he'd be saving so much time (and reduce frustration).
-
There's only one survivor for me and that's Dwight Fairfield. In his default outfit.
As for killers, I switch between Clown, Trapper and Doctor.
-
Yellow and Green. The sheer amount of unreliable fellow survivors makes it a drag to get back down into the purple/red ranks.
-
I got 20 euro as a present from a friend who wanted me to spend them on DbD, since I played it a lot back then. So I did. Also got like.. 10 euro, to repay a dept, to spend on DbD. So 30€ in total.
The DbD store doesn't let people gift AC, which sucks, so we had to fiddle with paypal and bank to get it all to happen.. But eh.
