There should be something like, "For every half of a health state you heal, receive a token." Because you can heal someone without encountering any skill checks. At least your guaranteed 2 tokens per every heal, and no, the bonus progression doesn't count towards the token requirements — only the part you healed normally will be counted. :)
Or maybe just increase the chance for skill-checks? Seems easier and less mechanically complex.
Imagine if you try healing someone and at 45% of a heal done, they decide to randomly press shift and cancel the heal. Now they've denied you a token.

Just changing values is a pretty boring way to buff the Clown, I think. I rather see some new and inventive stuff to add to his arsenal.
Here's some suggestions from an old Clown thread I made;
- Staying in the gas increases the slow duration for survivors. Basically forces them to make a move or suffer the consequences.
- Directly hitting a survivor with a bottle douses them in the Afterpiece Tonic, making them leave a trail of gas for 2 seconds after leaving the cloud. Rewards the Clown for hitting throws with a guaranteed 2 seconds of extra slow.
- Reloading release clouds of gas around the Clown. Tapping reload could intoxicate nearby survivors without wasting a bottle. Moving around while reloading leaves a trail of gas which makes loops even more dangerous for survivors, should they stick around.
And here is a link to that old thread itself → https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/61217/so-clowns-the-least-lethal-killer-on-pc/p1

An "Us" themed killer would probably be pretty simplistic in terms of visual design. Basically each survivor's model in a red jumpsuit, a glove and a scissor as a weapon.
As for the actual power? That's up for speculation.

I am mostly worried that all the new players they're gonna be bringing in with Stranger Things will be thrown into a soup of toxicity. That'll be a lot of unneeded negativity that Behavior will suffer through. Not to mention, what if the Demogorgon ends up being weak-as-######### and non-meta? The disappointment is gonna be malleable and a wave of negativity will wash over the game.
There's a huge risk in doing a collaboration this big and since the developers only seem to focus on making more cosmetics and Battle Passes.. there's some serious dark clouds on the horizon for Behavior.

They stated in the past that they wanted to avoid specific cliche monsters like Werewolves, Vampires, literal white-sheet ghosts, clowns, etc.
The point they were intending was to avoid anything too cheesy/cliche, and focus on more original concepts. They never said they don't want monster-killers. The main issue was the rendering of different skeletons and being able to produce something functional every several months.
The times they have broken down and done something they claimed they wouldn't was when they felt they came up with a concept that was creepy enough to pull off without losing the creep/spook-factor.
People took it too literal, instead of recognizing they probably are down to do literally ANY killer if they feel they can pull it off, and don't want the pressure to produce any specific kind of killer if it can be pulled off in the manner they envision.
They've shown that they're willing to spin a concept into their own original work, like seen with Clown. So yeah, I'll have my hopes up that we'll get a Werewolf at some point.
-
Its the Us Vs Them mentality at work. The killer's alone, so its easier to throw your own fault on them.
-
Non-Humanoid killer, they said. Not non-human. There's a difference.
Demogorgon is clearly not human but its definitely a humanoid.
-
From the sounds of it, she'll be obsessed with a single generator and if she repairs the generator, she'll get a buff of some sort. I doubt it'd be more generator repair speed.
That'd just be insane if it was the case.
-
They hope that people with no self-control will open up their wallets and buy.
-
Killers camp because it works. Survivors have a really hard time letting their fellow survivors go AND the survivors getting camped tend to just give up and thus, further rewarding the camping killer.
-
Killers are there to entertain survivors. Their fun is more important than ours.
-
Are you sure about that? Last time the developers shared data on killer lethality. The Clown and Legion (before his rework) was the least lethal killers.
-
@Ihatelife said:
It is confirmed? Or it is another fake?
Its from a german blog or something. Seen it before.
-
Sooo.. like Freddy 2.0 + Pig crouch?
-
The problem is that survivor passives would turn an already stale meta even staler.

@dwightdotexe said:
I think a 1% stackable Haste boost per token would be a not too overpowering buff that would make this perk usable.
You've no clue how strong extra speed is for a survivor. Making WGLF easier to stack is a more sensible buff.
-
You know which community you're asking, right? Its like asking fish to stop swimming in the ocean, ain't gonna happen.
All the newbies gonna get obliterated by Ochido wannabes, smurfs and other toxic filth, then quickly leave and give DbD an even worse reputation than they already got.
Maybe it'll FINALLY get the developers off their arse and start fighting the toxicity.

Okay didnt know that, thanks!
Here. From this thread → https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/640476 on page 2.

As mentioned by @Masantonio, you need to play with the killer's three unique perks and successfully double-pip (merciless victory). You're free to bring any add-ons you want and burn whatever offerings you like but using moris will most definitely result in a failed adept attempt.
-
@Milo said:
Maybe they do that in Upside Down... if there's really another world like old freddy.
A dev confirmed in another thread that the Demogorgon's power WON'T be anything close to old Freddy's power.. thankfully.
-
Hell, no. They're gonna design their perks to be really strong and then nerf or change them into oblivion. Afterall, there's gonna be less sales if the characters have weak perks.
-
Monsters can be killers too. Natural born killers, even.
What demogorgon means is that the Werewolf killer is coming more of a reality.
-
When it comes to Behavior, I always expect the worst and sometimes I am still disappointed.
Demogorgon will probably be something how the old Legion was, designed for Fun™.
-
Buying ANYTHING on release without waiting a week or so is a bad practice overall when it comes to video games and video games related stuff. At least in the current era of gaming industry.
-
Doubling the amount of time it takes to repair a generator IS NOT THE WAY TO SOLVE ANYTHING! Its boring as sin to hold M1 for 80 seconds already.
Introduce something new! A secondary objective. Something else than just increasing numbers.
-
Well, my hope for a Werewolf became more real with the Stranger Things reveal.
-
I used to have an anal fistula that made me unable to sit properly or sleep on my back for over 7 years of my life. It was followed with like 8 consecutive surgeries to dig it out.
Myyyyeaaaaah. There's not much that feels painful anymore after that.

I mean killers get points when surviors dc
Yeah, 700 points in a category that's really easy to fill. It might as well not be any points for a survivor DC'ing to begin with. You miss out on so much points if a survivor DCs, its a punishment.. not to mention that you might not even rank up if a single survivor DCs.
-
With an actual monster coming up Soon™ as a Killer choice, I'd love to see that darn werewolf Killer.
-
No. And this comes from a guy with Legacy stuff.

@Janick said:
I can confirm and appease your fear by saying that the Demogorgon power is very far away from Freddy 1.0.
Maybe more like old Legion, eh?
-
I guess that's a possibility. I am prepared for disappointment whatever happens.
-
No Mither is the perk for you, my lad.
-
I like it.
-
What if one of the shrine perks was replaced to always be something you don't have? 3 rng, one rng but based on what you don't have.
Then its not equal to everyone and that's kinda.. eh. Why not just have some rudimentary coding make sure that no perks can end up on the shrine twice without each other perk having been available once first?
-
- I agree with your opinion on channeling.
- I'd prefer it if you got three dailys with one free "retry" per day, replacing those that you didn't complete. You know, like real dailys. Buff BP for each daily and add a small amount of shards too. Perhaps add a big Weekly challenge?
- Four perks in the shrine is good enough but the randomness factor makes it way too common for several weeks in a row with perks coming back.
- Gain add-ons through playing in a trial, that's added to your inventory? I'd have to disagree. Breaking chests would be cool, though. It'd require more chests to be added to each trial to compensate.
- I disagree with this. It should be a commitment.

Purchasable content does.
As in a purchasable base game.
As in 10-12 purchasable DLCs.
As in an existing cosmetic store.
DBD has such a huge cost investment just to unlock the game and characters, and (almost) everything on top of that costs more again. A battle pass is then adding another free-to-play moneymaking method to an already paid game. It's getting excessive.
The only thing we're (technically) missing is lootboxes, and we have a true and honest EA title on our hands. If Behavior's seeing the green, then that's always an upcoming option.
-
Got it shortly after release, after watching gameplay of it. Thought it looked fun.
-
That werewolf isn't too far behind now.
-
I suspect something akin to Spirit but tracking via blood instead of scratchmarks and no invisibility.
-
It always have been.
The very definition of an exploit is to use something to gain an unfair advantage and in this case, survivors are using their smaller collision boxes to GAIN DISTANCE on killers by pressing themselves closer to objects than a killer can.
-
@Peanits said:
If a killer were to leave the match, it would immediately end. Since there's only one killer, the game would basically just be a free farming session until you leave, and that's not ideal.
You will, however, receive emblem score as if you had finished powering the remaining generators, opened the gates, healed up and saved anyone that was on the hook, and escaped. (Or alternatively, to prevent this from being abused, the match is cancelled and your offerings are refunded if it happens early on.)
Thank you for understanding.
-
While I approve greatly of the Archives / Lore part of the upcoming features, I am severely against the idea of a Battle Pass. The game already feature overpriced-as-######### cosmetics with a option to buy cosmetics for shards, which by themselves are extremely tedious to get because of intentional grind walls.
Slap on a monthly subscription fee on top of that, keep the store prices as is, and Behavior will be rolling in money.
I honestly cannot believe how people can be so accepting to this. They're being screwed from their behinds while chanting the mantra "its just cosmetics" like the corporations have taught them.

I play both sides red ranks (and if anything would call myself more a killer main tbh) and haven't insulted se05239.
I simply want something I feel as equal. If we get husks for survivors, and the killer gets to effectively play around that. Then survivors should have an equal set up.
Anybody going in with the intent of bullying the other side into dcing, is the kind of toxicity I'd never ever want to see. I just want equality and I believe the devs can bring that to the game. They certainly did with the end game collapse seeing as the end game / hatch situation was pretty messed up and not at all viably playable as killer. They fixed up Freddy too, made him incredibly fun. I believe they can do that with dc's too, to try and make them less of a burden on both sides. Thing is, a killer dcing effectively ends the game, that's why I believe it should go straight to end game collapse (with dedicated servers mind you) rather then just straight to the menu as that's no fun.
You're not the one who were insulting me, so you don't have to apologize for anything.

It just means you're flat out biased and will do anything to make the game miserable for one side while ignoring the needs for the other, it's just nice to know your position is all :)
I don't see any attempts at winning me over to the 'correct' side of a solution here, only insults. Feel free to like, try and persuade me or something.

lmao, ok buddy.
But you're giving your opinion and ignoring the fact that killers could do the exact same thing and using that as the reason it shouldn't happen.
Meaning?

@Seanzu said:

lmao, of course, there's not going to be any killers that bring ebonies and tunnel off the hook to make survivors DC.
Nothing a survivor can do really prevents a killer from playing the game, it might make it annoying but there is definitely more a killer can do to upset a player than a survivor can.
Another confirmation of your bias "Only survivors try and make players DC".
Killers can be toxic too, that's a fact I am well aware of. What I am doing is stating my opinion in the matter in regards to how a killer disconnection should be handled.

Had a wraith yesterday DC at exit gates preventing people getting their 5K escape points, there is definitely a reason to continue the match, I'm sure you'd agree, maybe if all gens are completed/doors open DCing will either give the survivor the extra 5K or let survivors leave.
Once again. If you let survivors get points following a Killer disconnecting, you're gonna get a lot more survivors who're hellbent on trying to make the Killer DC.
That's the problem of it all.
-
Why not. As long as they're not.. like.. Monstrous Shrine / Deja Vu tier.
