It still doesn’t solve the problem of chat abuse.
‘Getting called racial slurs? Close chat. Getting told to go die or end your own life? Close chat. Getting told you’ll be reported and you’re genuinely concerned you are at risk of actually being banned even though you did nothing wrong? Close chat.’
Closing chat stops you from seeing a very prevalent problem - it does not solve the problem itself because they’re just going to go and do the same to someone else. At the same time they’ll also go after your steam account and everything just to treat you like crap because ‘how dare you be better than me’ so they further proves my point about close chat being ineffective.
We need a chat filter and auto-bans, or more serious chat moderation, to be put in place to stop this kind of thing, instead of telling everyone to tough it out.
I rather have people scream profinity into a metaphorical wall than having to endure their madness directly. I've not had my chat window open in many, many months and I don't regret it.

@se05239 Apparently only 1% of the DBD community does that.
More definitely should.
-
You could just.. close the chat window and leave it permanently closed.
Would save you the sanity.

We all agree there is one OP addon that needs neerfing - Tattoo's Middle Finger. So OP it's basicly a middle finger to everyone ;D
That one should be a common add-on. Its effect is so laughably useless..
-
The sad truth, nonetheless.

I second this. I still think it needs at least one downside though.
Prayer Beads is a perfect example on how a strong add-on should be. Slapping on negatives on it wouldn't solve anything in the long run, as she'd still be completely silent while phasing.

That’s what I literally said...
Precisely.

The best buff for WGLF would be that you can stack it easier, like.. getting a token for healing a health state on another survivor on top of protection hits and safe unhooks.
-
Clown, sadly. Both visually and practically. Sucks that he's one of the worst, if not the worst, killer in the game.
-
@GODQueenEvy said:
- This map is awful for killer
- Don’t pick clown and complain about “genrushing” when you are not able to put pressure on the map. And btw, survivors are just doing their objective. :)
- Posting clips of only 1 game is just useless.. Sometimes you have bad games/sometimes good games. You can’t win every single game..
Did Tru3 evn used pop once in that clip? Anyways, ggs only friends :) <3
How does one generate map pressure with one of the worst killers in the game, who's notorious for lacking that very thing?
-
Buff its rarity to Ultra Rare instead and move down Father's Glasses to Very Rare.
-
Just gonna throw in my favorite three Clown buff suggestions;
- Hitting a survivor directly douses them in the Afterpiece Tonic, making them leave a trail of gas two seconds after leaving the cloud itself.
- The longer a survivor remains in a cloud of gas, the longer the duration of the slow.
- Reloading your bottles release clouds of gas around you.
-
Just use an exhaustion perk if you wanna go faster.

I mean, they'll reduce the grind with the upcoming patch. Do you know that?
Sadly, the changes won't increase BP gain overall just let high level players more easily get the perks they want without leveling a character up 100+ times.

Benedict is supposedly the character from the Hallowed Blight event. Meaning the Entity grabbed him and he became thing. My guess is that he might be the Prisoner for the Archives
That doesn't matter much since time is so wonky in the Entity's Realm.
He could still have encountered all killers in the game, present and upcoming, before his disappearance. There's no reason to not have Benedict Baker quotes on every killer, nonetheless.
-
I love how people want to nerf a perk that promotes a survivor beneficial playstyle from killers.
The aura reading is there to make killers leave the hook unguarded, letting survivors get saved and have more fun games. Giving the killer a haste effect would mean that the killer would use it to be even more beneficial at camping. Easier to defend something if you move even faster.
-
@Peanits When you get back from your weekend, here's something you could forward to the design team.
There's a large consensus within the community, at least with the killers, that the chase music is waaay too loud. Sound is such an important tool for killers and getting deafened everytime you enter a chase contradicts this fact.
-
Huh. Just about two weeks after the PTB started.. just like all the other DLCs have.
Who'd have thunk?
-
It'd be nonsensical to have an internal cooldown to a pallet-breaking feature, especially when Hillbilly and Leatherface can just mow through that ######### without any problem at will.
If anything.. if Shred can shred pallets, add a unique double claw slam-attack animation that makes the Demogorgon look down into the ground for most of its duration (which is the same duration of a normal pallet break animation) to balance it out that he can instantly break pallets from a distance.
-
I listen to youtube, check memes on 9GAG and argue on forums.
-
In the current form of WGLF, I do not believe that it should reward a token for cleansing a totem.
However, I'd greatly appreciate if the developers did something to make the perk easier to stack overall.. by like letting you get a token for healing a state on another survivor, on top of everything else.
-
RNG is nice but the large landmark structures should be static.
Its not fun wondering if you're gonna lose a game because the Entity decided that the god window in the fallen Silo on Torment Creek's open or not.
-
Trying to punish it can lose you games, you're better of to try and ignore it if possible.
The only real toxicity I try to punish is sand-bagging survivors and those that save their fellow survivors right up in my face because both of those things are extremely frustrating to experience as a survivor..
-
Upper half of the tier list but definitely not in the top.
-
I pronounce it as "Demi-Gore-Gone".
-
The biggest buff that the Trapper could get is the ability to reset traps without having to pick them up first. Imagine how much time you'd save. How much less frustration you'd have to endure.

I just want Fixated. Literally all I want from this chapter. So I guess I get to play "how long til it's in the shrine".
Fixated and Surge, here for me. The wait will begin. Still waiting for Pharmacy too.
-
I'd just be happy with a Werewolf.
Yes, it'd be generic but its such an iconic creature in the horror genre that it'd be a missed opportunity not going for it.
-
Haddonfield. Its one of the worst offenders.
Making changes to make sure that RNG can never leave certain windows open (like that corner window in the Torment Creek silo, the window along the long wall in the Abattoir building etc) would make the game a lot more enjoyable.

Plot twist: He gets buffed to becoming the best killer in the game
Yeah, that's never going to happen. They don't want to create another Nurse, Spirit or Hillbilly.
-
Time's kinda weird in the Entity's realm, isn't it?
No matter if he's dead "now", he could still have retroactively faced each current and upcoming killer in a trial and made an opinion.
-
The PTB is a seperate experience from the Live game.
Ergo, you don't keep anything from the PTB. That includes the killers and survivors you play in the PTB that you didn't already own in the Live game.
-
With the game's current matchmaking system, absolutely.

Knowing BHVR, they might still find a way to nerf him. I pray that survivors start dodging his lunge ASAP.
Behavior always finds a way.

So there is NOT one scheduled from the 5th-9th?
Great, someone told me that days ago and I was expecting it. Nice to know they pulled that date out of absolutely ######### nowhere.
Why'd it be one during a PTB?
-
Its just good customer practice in general to not buy games, or in this case DLCs, on release.
I just hope that people who do buy it right away don't get furious when Behavior does what Behavior do and nerf perks post-release.

I can already see the complaints of people dodging them in lobbies because they aren't using meta perks or are low rank.
This is going to be meta, yeah, if we could see each-other's perks.

You don't have to save everyone. Sometimes, letting them go is the winning move.

Pharmacy outshines Self Care in every single conceivable way.
Even better when doubled with Ace in the Hole! Amazing medkit with an insta-heal add-on? Sign me up!

The few times we've seen the QA team play during the old livestreams.. they've been boosted to infinity and it felt like they've never played a proper game of DbD in their life.
I guess they just like Yes-men. An inexperienced player ain't gonna see if something's bad or not.
-
Lets you find the Killer's obsession and use them as a meatshield against the Killer?
Niiiiice.
-
I am at a respectible 0 RBT kills.
But then again, I barely play Pig to begin with.

@Knayter said:
why not go for something more simple? Red and green mori will now require the survivor to get hooked into struggle phase aka 2 hooks, it's more simple, it's just replace the sacrifice process and save the hook and some time for killer
Except it'd remove the purpose on why you bring a Mori, to not have to hook a survivor all three times.
-
Tossing your bottles nilly and willy does nothing. You do need to play strategic, knowing when and where to use your gas.

I mean maybe you are right. It would be extreme though. I'd just hope it would cause less killer players to camp and more to try and get better at the game, when camping is doing very little for them. So survivors would have to deal with camping less often. It would be the best the devs could do for the game's health.
New killers are gonna camp because they'd be too unsure with themselves if they can allow such a thing to happen. Newbies having a hard game and finally catching a survivor would most certainly camp to make sure that survivor died.
Leaving the hook requires confidence and experience, both something new players lack.
-
Never going to happen. Never ever, ever.
-
Adding another hooking requirement to Ebony Mori would only make it borderline useless. Moris add a seasoning of power to a killer, letting them kill a survivor after just one hook. If it took two hookings to activate a mori, you'd save more time just hooking them and moving on.

1. The title made me lol
2. These "small" changes have bigger implications and the spaghetti code of this game might not make such a change as easy as I should be
That and that they might not have as many developers as you might think. At this point, I suspect their cosmetics and DLC teams severely outnumber the actual developers.
-
Even if the devs made it so that hooked survivors literally couldn't die if the killer was camping, some would still camp. Its a mentality.
