Bats did ya see me asking if you wanna be a pc tournoment mod for this

No i didn't, completely missed that and I appreciate it but not sure how I'd run it to be honest.

Somehow I feel if a killer did this trick they would be called a cheater for it

Killers actually do it all the time, see a P3 in dark outfit Claudette, MEg etc turn u brightness level, if you get red Forest and no dark outfitted characters like that still turn up brightness level.

The only way to control it would be to have a min/max setting that the game can't go past even with a monitor but not sure if the game could detect monitor settings like that.

  • I always try and say gg but I never say ez unless it's in a response to one directed at me as an insult. I'll say gg whether i've escaped or not if it was indeed a gg and I'll banter on both sides as well.

I find I get less gg's from killers then I do when I'm a survivor or as a killer, and toxicity wise you'll likely get more as a killer since it's 4 v1 so that's chances instead of 1.

  • I gave you answers in the same format you gave me, you just didn't like my responses and it's become obvious you never had any intent of having an actual discussion. But were instead focused solely on attacking me.

@redsopine1 I thought the same same after i finally went to sleep at 6 am today and was going to ask this be closed but i'm just not going to respond to him anymore. I shouldn't have gotten sucked into what was a obvious troll flame bait post so apologies.

Lastly as someone else said streamers generally unless you watched the stream only show the best games, not ones they got toasted. Your idea for a tourney is much better.

  • @redsopine01 said:

Sounds interesting but a little restrictive for a tournoment on both sides

Well it was meant to be as balanced as possible for both sides and no Ds/AD/insta heals/maps/keys make it way more interesting.

  • @redsopine01 said:
Lol dude I posted a tournament myself was one of the rules no holding the game hostage just for the hatch if the gates are open and no one's slugged or hooked and if you don't leave within 30 seconds then your eliminated form the tournoment and if it's a team your whole team is eliminated as well

Thats hilarious and I've watched some streams lately where people have been doing KYF on the ptb to test things and people are standing in the gates not leaving or hiding someplace. The host just exits and fixes them and those people are kicked from the group lol.

Some of the ones i've seen rules for are none of the following are allowed at all.

    No:
    Nurse
    Mori's
    DS
    Adrenaline
    Insta heals
    Tombstone of any kind.
No purples of any kind for either side.
    No ultra rares
    No Keys or maps.
    No mist or map offerings.
No special items like Halloween items/firecrackers etc.

    Anything else is fair game

So since were on it with the whole off topic discussion lol who here vote for a new experiment with both new players and good enough but not pro level players or with all 3 rank 20-14 are the noobs to they have some skill 13-5 the players that are good enough to make it that far and pro being 4-1 with control's on both sides so only correct colour rank killers and survivor's count any boosted or mismatched swf teams results are excluded

There was someone posting for a PS4? tournament with some good rules for both sides, this seems good as well. I remember Tyde and Tru were both doing tournaments not sure how those turned out or what the rules were.

Iron Grasp adds 2 seconds of wiggle time. The devs tried your idea, but it apparently only made SWF even more powerful by giving them the chance to coordinate a flashlight rescue.

I'd actually accounted for that in a thread about the DS stun the killer should be immune to flashlight blinds due to them already being stunned. since if you're stunned you usually close your eyes when you grunt in pain, it's just a natural reflex.

You just got stabbed and stunned so naturally it'd be like getting an electric shock, your muscles tense up and you close your eyes in pain. Now since you're muscles have tense up anything you're holding will be help tight until in this case it can wiggle free.

I don't remember if I ever got a response from a mod or the devs on that part and if I remember right this was right around the time they were talking about doing the flashlight changes.

I'd have to go back and check a few months have gone by since it might've been around the time Clown came out. It might've been more recent than that as well, I'll go digging alter today.

@Orion ps check your profile comments it said nothing happening here lol.

I had a game last night.

4 man SWF with a Twitch streamer.

They ran a full bully comp, 3 out of 4 have DS, the second i stop getting looped and go to pick a survivor up they flashlight me or hook block T-bag spam you get the picture and they did this for 3 gens.

The second i got one i decided to camp, i normally hate this practice but i was pissed, the streamer then goes for the farm and i down him too.

They both die on hooks leaving 2, i managed to get 1 with NoED and the 4th gets out via the TD.

You should have seen the abuse i got for that in chat. "I report you" yea you cannot report for that. "Watch me"

So im a noob for camping but them hook blocking spamming flashlights with 2 people while 1 runs gens with 3 count em 3 DS users is fair?

Sorry but survivors seem to hold this notion that all they do is skill and all killers that counter their SWF crap did so in a "noob" way.

I had a similar game last night but it was a Claudette in bright clothes, jacket Claudette, Meg in bright clothes and all 3 had flashlights that turned out to be purples. ( I thought ppl were P3'd but just checked my screenie) There 4th was a David King.

Two of the 3 flashlight users had Ds and all had the green battery and purple lens addons, the 2 Ds users also had AD.

I had same issue with the 3 while David was off doing gens by himself, I'd get flashlight blinded, Ds'd, body blocked etc. I didn't camp and still 3 hooked all 3 of them with the 3rd and most teabagging of them all suicing on 2nd stage near end of struggle.

One of the 3 dc'd on 3rd hook but the sac animation had already started so she got nothing out of it other than a laugh from me. I felt bad for the David so I let him live and guided him to the hatch area then wandered off to break pallets.

I surprisingly didn't get any abuse but I've ahd games like that where it's been interesting and even as a survivor i'e gotten it from both sides. It just comes from being an online game some times and if it's bad i report them, if not i just ignore them.

  • @The_Crusader said:
There's plenty of random BS in the game. Instaheals, keys, moris...plenty to keep complaining about but keep interested.

If DS was a rare item rather than something guarenteed at least once almost every single game I think it wouldn't be as bad.

We know keys and moris are broken but yes they do allow that random "omg" moment to happen which we all love when it pays off for us.

I think DS could be one of these if it wasn't so damn common.

I'd prefer a flat out stun of say 6 seconds if you hit the 1st skillcheck which should be harder. But instead of you being dropped you can wiggle during that time frame. The killer can run Enduring which eats up the timer and reduces the stun time.

If the killer dribbles you it should increase your overall struggle progress since it's not going to be a instant escape anymore.

To make it fair to the killer it's once you've hit 35% on the struggle meter then the skillcheck comes up with say 15-20% chance at success. Again if you get dribbled that increases your progress so killers will want to dribble less.

For survivors saving it is a bad idea since if you wait until your closer to the hook to start struggling you're screwed. If it takes 20 seconds to wiggle out and you wait until the killer is 10 seconds from hooking you and you only get 6 seconds of free struggle you're toast.

In this case Iron Grasp would be deadly for the killer since they'll add several seconds to the struggle meter but even if the survivor manages to wiggle out the killers stun is going to be wearing off shortly after they wiggle out.

This would help killers by preventing someone from waiting until they're about to get hooked and running to the exit gate and out etc. DS would become a much more carefully used perk instead of a get out of jail free card to use the killer description of it.

  • I prefer to play stealthy all the time, i don't like to loop unless I have to, for me it's all about mind gaming the killer and trying to out think them. I always laugh when I make it out via the hatch at 3 or less gens left or get the gate and the killer never sees me. I've usually done 1 or more gens and cleansed 2-5 totems.

Most killers appreciate the stealthy playstyle while some hate the immersed aspect of it since they want the easy to see kill. For the survivors that die they get mad they died and I didn't and say i never did anything.

Hmmn the iridescent Benevolent and gold objective says otherwise especially when you get multiple safe unhooks and protect people running. I actually had someone brag they beat me by 5k points post game saying they did more.

They had 2+ stacks of WGLF from unhooking in front of or near the killer and still only beat me by 5k and I got out with 1 gen left to be done.

At certain ranks you'll run into the worst killers which is 12 or so but usually 10 down to say 3 that camp, smack you on hook while camping etc.

    Ah, I just love this.

You tampered with data, you got called out for it, you changed your statement to something else and now when asked to provide proof of that, you completely ignore the request and instead try to shift goal post over to me instead of trying to defend your original arguments.

That is one thing: utterly pathetic.

You're nothing, but a lousy troll, but I'll humour you for this last time and provide you with some FACTS:

    1) A lot of hours doesn't mean that someone is skilled at a part of the game, that they played very little during that time.

    2) The Depip Squad had ONE objective: repair Gens, ignore literally everything else. And if one of them was engaged in a chase, he'd simply loop to stall the Killer. Don't you dare tell me that holding M1 for 80 seconds and running in circles around obstacles, requires any sort of skill that is above the level of a mediocre Survivor.

    3) Again, provide proof for your statement. You've got to provide me with the numbers for Killers who ran NOED, not me. And even if a handful of those 300 Killers were Killer Players who used a Killer for a daily, that they don't usually play, it doesn't invalidate the entire experiment and the dozens and dozens of games that adhered to the premise set by it.

    4) In terms of surviving, not much has changed so far. Surviving is still incredibly easy in general and literally NOTHING has changed about Generators in those 8 months and as we all know, looping is still just as viable a cheesy, practically cheating tactic as it was back then.

The Depip Squad showed that the very core mechanics of the game are fundamentally broken in favour of Survivors and nothing has changed about that as none of the Patches since 1.9.x have changed anything about that.

Yeah you keep making up stuff to suit your agenda, it'll get you really far.

I never tampered with data at all, that screenshot was taken over 4 months ago back when I was debating with Orin, Tsulan, SovereignKing, Lowbei, Vietfox, and about 7 or so others.

I never changed my statement at all, I simply clarified something that wasn't clear which was i wasn't aware of that lobby bug. I was only aware of the other post game lobby bug which was the depip bug, which by the way i've reported months ago.

But if you think I was aware of that rank bug by all means go look for me posting about it, i'm sure you realize after you've gone through all my comments i didn't. Oh sure you'll dig and dig but finding nothing come here and claim i did.

Then you'll claim I deleted it despite the fact it'd say edited in that thread which by the way you won't find any such evidence because there is none. But then you'll make up more stuff just like your post is filled with made up stuff to suit your narrative that's false.

The only thing lousy and trollish here is the one trying to start a flame war and making stuff up just so they can try and insult someone they don't like or disagree with.

1, Are you seriously going to say that none of them has a lot of hours playing survivor and doesn't know what they're doing? Because it's quite clear they have plenty of experience playing survivor, they know where totems are by heart. They have all the pallet locations memorized and where the best looping spots are from a survivors viewpoint.

They know the turning radius of their survivors by heart and where they can and can't lose the killer properly. They know what the terror radius is to defeat NC from a survivor's standpoint. They can hit great skill checks with regularity. They have no issue powering through Ruin if need be and they know how to handle their survivors exceptionally well.

That all says that not only are you mistaken but badly so when it comes to their playtime and knowledge of survivors. Just because they played very little during that time totally ignores all the time before that they played. I mean you conveniently ignored the countless several k hours of experience they played before that.

Oh and wasn't it you claiming wrongly about tampering with data and now you're being called out on deliberately leaving stuff out.

    1. So they had a biased test by your own words and ignored totems unlike most groups both solo and swf who don't go into a match like that. Well gee don't most groups whether solo or swf have 1 person looping to stall the killer? Because if we use your logic all the kill main complaints on here are a bunch of exaggerations about dealing with loopers.

Did you really did try that nonsense and expect it to fly, well let me hit you with both facts and logic here and common sense.

It takes skill to make sure you don't miss a skill check while holding M1 and watching for the killer, it also takes skill to hold M1 and not screw up that great skillcheck, especially when the killer has Ruin. It takes skill to actually turn at the right angles and not get caught after 1 or 2 loops.

Now onto your mediocre player nonsense that's got no bearing in factual reality as an argument standpoint.

If someone is mediocre then obviously they'd blow up the gen 1 or more times during that 80 seconds and quite likely draw the killers attention. That's without even taking Ruin into consideration which a lot of killer run which means that mediocre player is going to take longer than 80 seconds and that' before the killer comes to investigate.

Onto the looping part, if the player is mediocre then the killer will catch them after 1 or 2 loops because the person is obviously not that good. Now if the player is mediocre then obviously they'll never get past rank 15 let alone get out of the 20 which is where most casuals are.

If you want to say it takes no skill, it takes no skill to hit M1 for killer, it takes no skill to hook someone, it takes no skill to hit spacebar and damage a gen.

    1. No I don't actually I called you on it to provide it and as typical you say you don't have to provide what you were asked for.

You're joking right, a biased experiment from the start isn't compromised because it was biased from the start and had no controls. If a baby killer was playing a killer they're not familiar with against a pack of pro tier players you can't make a statement like that you know to be utterly false and be taken seriously.

    1. Now I know you're just flat out trolling here since you claim not much has changed so I guess all those killer buffs, reworks, pallet changes, healing changes were imaginary.

Well gee, gens haven't changed oh wait they did test a new objective based mechanic to help with gens but that obviously didn't happen in your alternate facts reality. Ah yes here we get to more nonsense and the truth starts to come out.

Lets see, reduced pallets and window locations thus reducing looping possibilities, then we have the changes to the sac tree making it easier for killers. There were also the changes to jungle gyms and removal of certain obstacles. But in your alternate facts reality those didn't happen.

Yeha the devs have done absolutely nothing balance wise since that experiment, not a single killer was buffed, Wraith didn't get a really good rework. The Hag didn't get a really good rework, the trapper didn't get some help,

They definitely didn't remove Moonlight Offerings to help killers, Backwater Swamp tile didn't get changed at all by being made smaller. The Shrimp boat on that map didn't get changed to a different location to help killers. Thompson House didn't get a hook added to the upper floor to help killers at all.

Oh and lets not forget the pickup animation for killers that made it quicker to pick up and harder to be flashlight blinded. Now speaking of flashlight blinding they changed it from a white screen to the new effect to help killers.

You narrow the Depip squad's experiment just to fit your argument and when in reality they were talking about more than just gens. They were also talking about how easy it was to loop, the pallets and window locations. They also dealt with jungle gyms and how some map locations were completely survivor safe unless the killer was a nurse.

Which as I pointed out above all the changes that were made in response to the issues raised yet you conveniently ignored and left all that out. It's almost as if the last 8 months you completely left all that out because it would've contradicted you.

Those are all things that the devs have done to improve the game, just because you call looping cheating doesn't make it so. If looping is cheating then using your logic so is dribbling, tunneling, camping etc since they're all cheezy tactics.

Perhaps looping isn't the problem but the person being looped either not chasing someone easier or not cutting the person away from the loop. If someone's looping you for 2-5 gens then you're the problem not the looper.

  • Also it could be worse if you think about it, if everything was easy you'd have nothing to complain about and you'd not be interested in the game anymore.

So the devs have secretly kept everyone motivated by giving them things to complain about which the devs can keep working on.

Thus they keep your interest in the game and of course any dlc they bring out all without ever having to really do anything to keep you interested.

    😜

But thats entitely the issue isn't it? People say bring enduring as if it was that simple. Clearly it isn't because it takes hours upon hours upon hours to get that perk at level 3 on each killer. If I could bring it I would but I don't have that option yet unless I only stick to about 3 killers.

The same could be said for Self Care unlocking as once it's teachable which is way more important than Enduring to a killer generally other than BBQ. The best perks do take some time to get and it's not just the teachables either.

It took me well over 73 rollovers of my lvl 50 blood web on Adam to get his Deliverance tier III unlocked and on Spirit Rancor tier III was around the same.

It's a scummy thing to do yes, it was born out of a problem killers actually created though, you never used to see this before they started dodging lobbies when certain items or clothing were used.

The solution could be to time out either side for leaving a lobby which increases the more you do it, you can then make survivors have to lock in early so killers can setup before the match starts.

They should also have a rule that if the ping was over a set amount you don't get timed out as imo that is the legit reason someone should leave, real life doesn't matter as the timeout should be over with by the time you get back.

And Killers started dodging lobbies because Survivors wearing those clothes were abusing everything under the sun. Remember the insta-blind bug? Flashlight usage spiked during that time, for whatever strange reason.

I don't know if i was here fr that or not but I never abuse any mechanic like that and I was here for the Tinkerer II exploit and didn't use it either. But good grief the amount of Billy's, Bubba's etc abusing it skyrocketed through the roof.

  • Profiles should be hidden in the lobby for both sides, once game starts you can check with the in game overlay. Yes it sucks to get camped by the same killer several games in a row or sandbagged by the same team mate same way.

Are you talking about the timer picks up in speed when you don't mend?

Yes, if you're not in a chase then say after 5 seconds the timer starts counting down and goes faster the longer you don't fully mend. So if you start running around the progress you made will also start to decay back to zero and the timer then starts ticking quicker.

If you add in the effect they can't work on gens until fully mended then to fully heal is x seconds, 15 for the mend and the SC time.

  • @The_Crusader said:
    Ok new example just now.

Using Myers in tier 3. Down the obsession meg (decisive), their SWF mate nea sits on the last gen pops it, both get their adrenaline crutch as expected, chase nea, down her, hook her and shes dead, hear the door beeping behind me, turn around and down meg just before tier 3 ends. No hooks nearby so I have to take the decisive, during the stun she taps the door it opens and escapes.

Then cries at me about "gen camping" whatever that is.

Like is there even a point in playing when survivors have so much BS?

The DS is unfair on the rest of the survivors. Because DS always gets left alone until the end and DS obsession always makes it out.

At least make Enduring an early unlockable ffs. You need like 2000 hours to get all perks on all killers its ridiculous.

And I dont get how some people try to pretend nobody takes it anymore. Its in almost every single game I get. Often 2 of them. Sometimes 3, rare cases 4.

Its not the fact they escape. If a survivor escapes good for them. Its the fact that as killer you feel you can't do anything to stop it. A player should never play a game and feel like they can't do anything about a situation.

1 Could you've slugged there assuming that perhaps 1 might be close or was there not enough time?

2, No nearby hooks is that because you just used Nea on the one closest to gate or where there any close enough to begin with ?

3.Gen camping I get as Myers and Spirit for some reason, especially when it's 3 gens left and they're all basically right next to each other. I just point out the logic behind guarding them since they're all so close together I can patroil back and forth.

    1. You as a killer need to plan better and assume they're always running the most powerful perks even when they're not. I do the same as survivor and always assume they've got BBQ/NOED and then depending on killer other 2 perks. I adjust my chases and angles always during the game and especially when it's down to 1 gen.

So that even if they get AD and DS me i've got a more than equal chance of still downing them because i've maneuvered them to where i want them to be.

    1. Are you referring to the unique killer for the perk or overall as an unlockable since that's just cherry picking your favorite perks then. It's also not supposed to be easy to get every single perk on every single killer with ease.

    2. I see it occasionally but not as often and usually when it's there it's 1 person and rarely more if they do unless it's someone doing adept.

    3. I faced a 4 man swf that brought into the lobby 3 flashlights and a TB, the 3 flashlight users all ended up having purples. They also all 3 had DS which given their loadouts and characters I expected and so I took Enduring.

I ate all 3 of their DS and multiple flashlight blinds I still sacrificed all 3 of them on 3 hooks each and I could've killed the David but chose to let him go. I knew they'd use Ds so I always chased them into a spot that favored me when they'd use it. They were all downed again within 10 seconds at most and I never felt like I couldn't do anything about it, I could and did.

It's all about mindset in the end, if you go into a match expecting to lose and have a bad game you're going to lose and have a bad game.

@powerbats Will the depip squad experiment is flawed this isn't really the point but yes, the depip squad experiment is a very flawed one and could have use a control group or two.

Without taking in account that the experiment show notably a sampling bias since the menber of the depip squad are not any average player and could be considered as some of the top 5% of player

You could also argue that Hawthorne effect affected the outcome of the experiment since the killer they where facing might know who marth is and that he was running his test and might have want the test to show a particuliar result.

But it isn't the point, in this case we mention the depip squad not for the validity of the experience but because OP wanted to know about big survival strike to try to stive to do better and improve himself.

The Depip Squad consists of Killer mains, they weren't exceptionally skilled Survivors. The entire purpose of the experiment was to show that any mediocre SWF group can abuse the system to vastly increase their win rate if all they do is focus on Generator repairs and ignore everything else.

So 4k plus hour players all killer mains regardless and they most definitely knew how to play survivor quite well. You calling them a mediocre group is laughable and just proves you know you can't defend your argument.

How many of those killers ran NOED, how many were baby killers doing dailies as Marth even admitted, you ignore all that.

The videos are also done well over 8 months ago before the massive changes you can't say killers are in the same state and be taken seriously.

Ok that makes perfect sense then but with Streamers if someones watching them and gets into a match with them it can skew it. I know some streamers record matches but don't actually stream them and use a different name to give better results.

  • I like the suggestions and @Peanits reasoning is rally good as well. i discussed this with @DarkWo1f997 in another thread to address similar concerns.

I would think that once out of the chase his timer could tick down the further away he is from the victim, so if for instance he loses them. At the start of an internal 5 sec timer he doesn't re-aquire them then the timer ticks down at an ever increasing rate.

So .5 ticks per second then increasing steadily like BT timer to being depleted at 15 seconds and the only cure is Mending. To keep people from just losing him and Mending for 1 second the pause on the timer will have a decay effect that stacks.

The more you pause the mend similar to the old SC at a pallet pause routine the faster the progress you made will decay back to zero. This would put pressure on people to stop and mend completely.

One thing you could also add to it's effect is to make it so you can't repair gens similar to how you can't do so in Madness Tier III.

I'm not sure how or where this could be tied into your suggestions though or whether it'd work well with your stuff.

That’s a really interesting way to counter players that might tunnel regardless, rewarding those that break away from a chase after a successful strike. This is a really good suggestion, bats.

Thanks I think it works well for both sides without breaking anything one way or the other and doesn't require massive reworking him. Then running into the exact same problems of underwhelming or op again and going through same issues again.

  • Always tunnel the obsession lol.

@powerbats I hope you aren't the one that took the screen shot because it either show that you purposely cropped out an important part or that you are extremely inattentive.

Here's where the screen shot as been taken without the HUGE crop out

If you still fail to see it, here is a version with a conveniant red arrow

And please man, I have you in high esteem, don't spread doctored screen shot to try to prove a point even if you aren't the one who doctored them or where unaware that they where doctored.
Why didn't you ask your self "uhmmm... that weird why was more than 50% of the tally screen missing"

I wasn't intentionally trying to doctor anything and there were several videos where both ranks showed 20 and i wasn't aware of a lobby bug like that. In fact the only one I'm aware of is the rank depipping bug when teh killer dc's. Which does still actually depip you and of which the devs are aware.

4 players all pro level all with more than 4k hours each are going to destroy random players in ranked games. I don't think you can use their experiment as a valid one due to the very nature of the test being so biased from the beginning.

As I discussed with @Orion there weren't really any anti bias measures put into place, no real controls to ensure that valid test results would be there. If you took 4 random players and grouped them together over voice then you'd have a controlled test.

Now granted they'd get better over the course of their games but using the top 0.1% of the player base who're bascially Nurse tier players together isn't valid. Throw in killers doing dailies like several of the videos where you hear Depip even acknowledge baby killers.

Ok how did asking a question for most solo escapes in a row turn into a debate on a bunch of people that pointed out even a no skilled noob could easily beat a killer with no perks

Wait how is having 4 pro players each with 4k hours played + per no skilled noobs again?

    @MandyTalk @Peanits Thoughts on this?

  • I loved using her ambush and then tossing a devious offering in. Using it properly requires practice and if they have Spine Chill it means not looking right at your target area on approach. You need to be able to use it to mind game at pallets/loops.

Also, to all these "this games trash not gonna spend money until they change" sounds pretty entitled to me. It's a game ffs not Congress. Theyve put out great content, and on one little TEST the community acts like they're completely incompetent #########.

Like, it's a ptb, and the feedback has already been terrible. So why assume they're not gonna make changes? And if they dont, how about just idk, skip this killer everyone thinks is trash, and continue to play the game without berating the developers?

This was the exact same stuff that was said about the spirit and before that the Clown and before that etc etc etc.

Unless you know the games shown on the videos are consecutive (like with the de-pip squad), I would disregard all numbers provided by anyone as YouTubers usually cherry-pick their good trials only for a video.

Well the depip run was also against at times baby killers and this was also rank 20 to 1 since Marth was a rank 20 wasn't he? Also a 4 man Delta Force team isn't what i'd call a valid experiment.

The Depip Squad were a total of 300 games (3 experiments with 100 consecutive games each) with all four Survivors in red ranks and Killers in purple/red ranks depending on the matchmaking.

Just because Marth is a Killer main, doesn't mean that he's only a rank 20 Survivor. Could you please be less biased and ignorant?

Edited due to being made aware of the lobby bug.

  • Ok but why not give counter perks for every perk on both sides then? You also get killers complaining why should they have to give up a perk slot and vice versa. If no one uses DS the killer just wasted their perk slot.

If only 1 person brings it but either doesn't use it or the killer fails it's wasted.

You admitted it shouldn't be in the game in its current form. That's the whole point of this thread - Decisive strike in its current form.

Now you're changing your tune 1st you said I admitted it shouldn't even be in the game. Now you're saying I admitted it shouldn't be in the game in it's current form. I've said for quite some time it should be changed but not removed.

Now you're trying to twist the thread to fit your argument, yes the thread is about it's current form and how to change it. I'ts not that it should be removed and not be in the game. It's not twist anything and everything to fit your narrative and then change your narrative when you get called on it.

But if you're saying its lore then I'm assuming you're taking the stance that it still involves the survivor stabbing the killer and getting a free escape so.....yeah, it shouldn't be in the game.

Why, just because you don't like something because you can't handle it doesn't mean it shouldn't be in the game. DS is still going to give a free escape, just how free of an escape and with what conditions are what's still to be determined.

Sure there are coding limitations now but are you saying that if there wasn't then such abilities should be in the game for Lore reasons?

Oh just stop good grief, now it's beyond obvious you're just trolling. Before it was well if Freddy could turn into a worm nonsense. Now it's well if coding limitations weren't there we could make hi turn into a worm nonsense. You keep twisting yourself into a ever deeper knot of convoluted logic just to try and back up your argument.

The lore reasons argument makes no damn sense. Especially not with a killer like Freddy in the game. Pretty sure lore wise he could pull off the Bloodwarden exit gate block at any time if the survivors were asleep since he can manipulate the enviroments in movies. I guess they should make it so that survivors need to be awake to escape Freddy.

Ok now I know you're just flat out trolling, you're literally throwing stuff out there trying to make your arguments look better and it's not working. I could use your same convoluted failed arguments and I'd get laughed out of the forums.

I am informed about League of Legends since I have been playing it for more than 7 years. Riot Games is trying all its champions that are more than 140 champions that are "competitive" through Reworks and buffs. Each patch is a world, the champions can change a lot and now with the 2019 pre-season some champions go up as they were hardly played, and that should be done by the developers of Dead byh Daylight, rework all the killers that are below the stronger: Nurse, billy, huntress etc ... Because I would like to play the trapper, pig, freddy but it is impossible because they are below the best. In the LOL it happens the same, the best champions are played, the others are not played .. why? Because it is not in the same measure as the strongest. But Riot, he worries and tries to balance them. Sry for my bad english.

on the other hand the DBD developers tell us to play with the best, that is a lack of respect ... I want to play with others, I do not want to desrank to face bad players and destroy them because that is not fun.

So how many of those 140 champions are actually viable at high rank competitive play? There's a hard pool of may'be 40-60 max champions give or take for all roles. So for someone that knows League you obviously missed that part.

OW the same thing, there's a reason why certain champs are always picked.

Any pvp game it's the same rule of thumb there's a certain group that gets picked everything else gets left in the dust.

While Riot tries to balance the game and every champion the simple truth is certain champs are just plain better.

You can't take everything from movies and translate them directly to videogames. Literally anyone with expsrience with videogames knows this. Thats why games have always taken liberties with movie franchises for decades now.

**Yes they have taken liberties but they've also tried to be as true to the lore as possible which everyone with any experience knows.
    **

Besides you admit it shouldn't be in the game so...

Oh where did I say that again?

What I said was that "** it should be in the game but not in it's current format**."

Now notice how I never once said it shouldn't be in the game.

Now one could say there was a simple misunderstanding but you obviously knew exactly what you were typing and either didn't care you'd get caught or didn't think I'd' respond.

I mean Freddy transforms and does many crazy things in the nightmare on elm street series. Should we include them in the game since they're part of the lore? Have him be able to transform into a giant worm? Have him disguise himself as survivors? Have him teleport?

Oh good grief, now you're just plain trolling here with that argument, the characters can't transform due to game coding limitations. Which of course you knew already but decided to throw out that totally ludicrous argument.

  • So every killer should have a super hard learning curve like the nurse is what you're all asking for then? Look at most of the games out there with lots of different characters.

Take Battlefront different difficulties of characters and weapons and loadouts with the easier ones being easier to play of course but less damage etc.

    Warframe same thing.

    Overwatch

    Battelborn

    League Of Legends

I could keep going on but you get the point, there's different skill level characters with the easier ones not being great at high rank competitive play.

  • @The_Crusader said:
You get rid of it because it shouldn't exist in the first place. That's how you balance it.

Literally everyone who has any experience with videogames and balance knows this.

It's based upon character lore and it should be in the game but not in it's current format. Literally everyone who has any experience with videogames and balance knows this.

Now see I can use your argument and have it prove my point even better since every game that has a lore based character they use stuff from that lore.

You cant expect people to act civilized on some game, it is ridiculous

Games have rules, you break you them you suffer the penalty simple as that. In fact most games require you to act civilized as best you can and if you cross certain lines you get punished.

In real life you break rules you get punished, in this case in game you're playing using someone else's intellectual property and servers. You agreed to follow their codes of conduct and if you don't you agree to get punished however they see fit.

It really doesn't matter if you think the behavior is ok or not, if it's against the rules that means it's not ok and will get you punished..

I have to admit that made me laugh but i won't camp you if you tea bag me, I just ensure you get on the hook and if I see you and no one else is around you ge ym attn lol.

  • That's actually a pretty cool idea and killer either has to go fr all or tunnel one by one or see who gets protected the most. Although survivors could also bait protect the non VIP as well lol.

I think the only nerf she needs in body blocking detection in phase walk it really stunts the juking potential of survivors.

Actually if you bump into an invisible object while trying to juke there's a really high probability you went the wrong way and need to move asap.

  • Ok I have to say calling people child and such and threatening to report them doesn't help any on here. The persons age while relevant in an external sense doesn't negate any points they may be trying to make.

Also threatening to report is reportable in and of itself since that's considered a form of bully/harassment according to the rules of the forum.

If you feel a report is warranted then hit the flag button and submit a report and leave it there, no point in promoting it.That usually just earns you a report back starts the usual flame wars.
