Hey, everyone. Thanks for replying. I followed @Gay Myers (Luzi) advice, and unfortunately the worst happened and I tried to talk to her gently about it, and she just blew up at me and attacked me and told me to f off and I was a bad friend because she had problems too. I am really hurt right now tbh, there was so much deep seeded animosity. I can’t believe a friendship that’s been going on for 5 years is just...gone now. I feel devastated.

I will be disappointed if it’s the Spirit’s dad too because they would be too similar as killers, and I would have no desire to play a survivor who murdered his family - And I know we already have pedophile demons and ######### serial killer clowns but idk it would just feel kind of squicky to have her dad in the game...like it’s glorifying what happened.
-
Nope. Shards and cells are strictly on a per account basis.
Rule of thumb is that any microtransaction is designed to be on only one account.
-
Yes, but when it starts to feel too grindy or too buggy or too toxic, I take a break until I feel refreshed. I usually watch some Netflix or play other games like Red Dead Redemption 2 or Stardew Valley.
-
I like Ghostface but then again I LOVE playing against Myers, especially spooky ones, because they are quite startling. I actually played a game as Ash earlier this week and I turn my camera and there’s Mr. Ghostface just staring at me nonchalantly and I dropped my controller and got zoinked. Made a similar noise to Ash when he got downed.
But I do have to say, there have been many times I’m directly looking at Ghostface - and I still get exposed even if I reveal him too. And that is frustrating.
-
I use her blight outfit on her and I got it through trial and error - there will be a time when you will survive.
-
Oh get off your high horse. Self care is fine. Like every other perk, it depends on the player who uses it. Bond is great until someone uses it to out other survivors only to save their own skin. Aftercare is awesome until your good graces are used against you to save their hide or just because they’re a jerk. Same with self care - it’s a great perk, made not great when used at the wrong time or when a player outright refuses healing from others.
I think vilifying perks and the people who use them is a very bad and unhealthy habit you should break because all it will do is generate more toxicity. That was a major problem in Overwatch, and one of several reasons I uninstalled that trash heap - people were so into meta that their heads were up their own butts and anyone who deviated from the meta at all were treated very poorly and verbally abused as well as being the victims of false reports etc. that Blizzard wrongfully upheld because Blizzard is full of crap.
Anyways, self care is a good and reliable perk. You don’t get screwed over by Franklin’s, and while Sloppy hurts its potential, Sloppy also hurts medkits and their potential to hold more than 1 heal. Moreover, you can rely on yourself to heal when no one is around or unable to do so, and say what you will about being injured, if you’re one of the last survivors, you do not want the killer to hear you. I main Jane too so staying injured without a proper load out for it is pretty risky. Same with characters like Ash and David, who you can hear from a mile away. Inner Strength is no real replacement for self care since it has specific requirements like being able to only do one totem at a time, and you best hope nobody finds them first - which in itself can take some time now. If anything, I think Second Wind is a more valuable replacement since you have to help your team and then you can go about your business.
tldr: self care is a fine perk and trying to vilify people for using it is wrong. It could be said that people who use Adrenaline, Exhaustion, and DS are sweaty animals who don’t really care about everyone having a fun time and want to play gen rush simulator but that too would be wrong. It all depends on how people use their perks.

I sometimes flashlight click so that my teammate doesn’t get caught or if a gen is almost done and my teammate is near it. I wouldn’t exactly call that toxic since I’m doing it to save my team and possibly myself.
Well flashlight clicking honestly depends on the situation. In game it’s definitely annoying but I won’t be bothered by it - I usually get the feeling someone is trying to hide something from me so I won’t feed into it - but flashlight clicking/trying to blind in the exit gates is definitely toxic imo, same if it’s being paired with noise notifications.
-
I really dislike that when you go out of your way to play by survivor rules, those survivors treat you like garbage and mock you and do stuff like spam notifications and click flashlights and linger in the gate. Have some common decency!
Honestly, it’s starting to get to a point that if the survivors want to play dirty, I’ll play dirty back.
-
I think moris themselves are fair because we are playing a HORROR GAME but I must admit that killers who tunnel their moris are scummy. I think moris should be activated under one of two conditions: everyone must be hooked first or the survivor is on their death hook.

Let's just remove killers totally. Then we can have a generator repair simulation game and all will be happy
Oh please don’t be dramatic. Is this really the killer hill you want to die on? Defending Iri Infantry? There are so many other legitimate killer concerns but multiple Iri hatchets is NOT one of them. I’m not even advocating the removal of the iridescent hatchets - just limit it to one, which I think would be perfectly fair. Strong killer add ons are awesome (I love me some Spooky Myers and Seeing All Plague) but when it comes to add ons like omega blink, prayer beads, and iridescent heads - that just kills the fun for BOTH sides since survivors dc and other survivors give up, making it a really short lived and tiresome game for killers.
-
Claudette is fine. It’s kind of gross that you think that just because she isn’t a model like Kate or Jane that she needs to have cosmetic surgery. Women are not eye candy!

@Blueberry said:
Separate queues are the only solution imo
Separate queues with bp incentives for killers, as well as limiting the number of perks (especially duplicates) a swf can have.
-
Prestige is optional but I would only recommend prestiging if you are either a completionist or you play a lot.
I am slowly p3ing my killers because they benefit the most from having a complete set of perks and numerous add ons. I only prestiged Jane to p3 because she’s my main; Ash is at p1, might make him p2 ONLY because I think Bloody Ash is canon. And I might prestige Nancy and Laurie because I would like to have Nancy as a back up and Laurie because she has so few outfits.
I have Michael and Plague at tier 3, and I’ll be leveling Doctor up from 2 to 3 after the event so he isn’t saddled with useless offerings.
-
I really hope not, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Christmas presents were locked into the free track of the rift.
-
I only make it my mission to hunt a particular survivor down when they sandbag someone right in front of me. By all means, give away their location if they’re not actually playing the game - you’ll be rewarded and they will be punished because f those survivors who don’t play and think they deserve escape over the other survivors who actually participated - but if they ARE playing and you INTENTIONALLY try to get me to kill them to save your skin, I will go Liam Neeson on your booty.

Everyone was complaining that the rift is too much grind and 90% are casuals, but here we are, everyone's progres is above 17.5 witch is 1/4 of a tome. And every 2 weeks new set of challenges will be released, and (if you will concistently get 17,5 tiers completing these chalenges) everyone will complete the pass. So stop complaining about anything so early.
Um...I think it’s safe to say that most people who lurk on the forums are not casual. And yeah, it seems like a lot of people are over 17 levels, but you have got to keep in mind that it literally takes all day to grind up. You don’t have much room to play anything else if you want to get far. The fatigue is only going to increase as time goes on and people won’t even be motivated to do the later tomes because of how impossible and time restrained they are. Make no mistake, the battle pass needs major improvements if dbd devs want it to be a financial success.
Anyways I’m currently at 26.2, all challenges completed. I was not playing for a couple days because I was in the hospital. But that 26.2 is definitely because dbd is what I have been playing mostly and frequently, not just me cruising around going from game to game.

Thank you everybody! I am home now, still recovering.

Okay, I’m not 100% sure it is unpopular but there is a lot of talk about how people HATE farming. Which is wrong, of course, but like...please farm me instead of leaving me to rot.

It’s called engAAAgement.

Laugh at them for being so petty and pathetic for being a sore loser in a video game.

Or how about grow a pair and chase them out like 99% of killers do
Sounds like you’re one of those survivors who refuse to leave. Why condone behavior that’s clearly to antagonize or make the killer feel bad?

You're the pathetic one coming on here to vent about a 1 videogame round that didn't go perfectly. Grow up.
You need to relax, dude. Were you the Steve that dced? Is that why you’re so touchy and offended? Poor baby.

@grtf47 said:
You need to learn to deal with these things. I know it’s frustrating but these things happen and as a survivor, it’s a way of celebrating after all that time and effort to escape.
If your idea of celebrating is to not leave until the last second, flashlight click, teabag, etc. in order to annoy and/or shame the killer, that’s not being a good sport.
-
@Peanits said:
That would mean if I'm healthy and being chased out the gate, the second I enter the gate area, the killer double clicks on me and I'm dead. If I don't enter the gate area, I die to the collapse.
No, that would mean you have a speed boost that prevents the killer from double tapping. And as to the second part, there’s no reason why you should be in a situation where you die to the collapse since it’s so long and forgiving.
-
@Phox said:
Ideas like this that are completely unthought out and come from the frustration of a bad game need to stop. Vent if you need to but we can’t go changing the game every time something annoys someone.
Sounds like you excuse or condone bad behavior. Believe it or not, there are players who want themselves and others to have a fun, fair, and good natured experience! Shocking!

@Hoodied said:
No, cause NOeD with bloodwarden will be a slaughter
If you suspect the noed/blood warden combo, you’re both toxic and dumb if you insist on staying until the killer is right there.
-
You’re asking me to dodge if I see your ps4 username has “toxic” in it or is otherwise smurf related, as well as names that have knowingly bad words in it. You get reported too.
This morning, I entered a lobby with a Quentin that had the Tw slur spelled out, and who was obviously a dbd smurf. Dodged, blocked, reported.
-
Wglf should proc when you heal someone or get the distraction bonus (assuming this triggers when a killer is involved with another survivor), this way there’s no rushing to the hook.
When you DO unhook someone the “bbq” bonus should be granting who you’re saving 4 second immunity to all detection ability and traps by the killer.
-
I would love to see an event but honestly I’m not expecting much. I would be sorely disappointed if there are no Christmas presents and double bloodpoints.

I hope Jane gets one too. I've been maining her recently. Wonder what it would be? Obviously relate to her television show or to her being a host. I hope it's cute.
I think it would be cute too since pretty much all of her clothes are really cute.
I think J.R will be on the design since her lore says that’s her brand.

Myers best build is probably ruin, pop, distressing, and infectious fright while running infinite tier 3 and dead rabbit. Then you put on the game offering and you get nearly map-wide IF coverage while running around 1 shotting everyone and nobody has any idea where you are because the terror radius is so huge.
Ooh, interesting. I knew about monitor and dead rabbit for sneaky Myers but this is new.
-
I’m on ps4 too and tbh I don’t use aftercare BECAUSE it seemed like I got more bad apples than teammates.
Tbh I really wish a new survivor’s perks would involve addressing bad and unfriendly teammates.

@kcwolf1975 said:
He was saying thank you and trying to give you a few more points. How else is he supposed to say thanks?
He may have been, but I usually stand near the edge - still in the game, but close enough that no funny business can happen - and WAVE the killer to come to me. That seems a lot friendlier than teabagging.

If you are very seasoned, you can tell that the killer is moving faster, that is about it. Other than that, let one of your teammates take a hit and check for it!
Also, generally speaking, a Thrill with no Ruin and especially no Devour means noed is on the table.
-
Noed is absolutely fine. I blame myself and my teammates for choosing not to do bones more than the killer. Like if you don’t want to deal with noed, clean the bones! Easy peasy!
It still sucks to get hit with it but it’s survivors’ fault for not getting all the bones.

@HP150 said:
What if instead of causing toxicity for killers, it countered the bad behavior of killers? Maybe if everyone is either hooked or incapacitated, Adrenaline kicks in.
I'm sorry, since when is hooking everyone as killer "bad behavior"???
Are killers not allowed to snowball anymore? Should I not be going for domino plays with T3 Myers? Is Infectious Fright not allowed?
I’m referring to slugging mostly. Instead of Adrenaline being a perk that essentially trolls the other side (like noed would be if you know, bones weren’t a thing you can eliminate from the getgo) it now gives an answer to slugging and those games where it’s suddenly all on you.
-
I will never really understand why people advocate for the removal of kill animations in HORROR GAME. Please give me a mori over having to watch the Entity poke me to death!
That said, I fully advocate for making moris built in but ONLY on a death hook.
-
Okay, you know what REALLY gets my goat?
Losing a hook state because nobody even bothers to come. AT LEAST TRY.

I saw a survivor with the vial on friday. Couldn't believe that they'd spend so much money this early. I know its their decision but spending so much money early on in order to get a tiny charm is ludicrous to me.
When I see someone has grinded to their level I just think "fair play". Although I laugh when I see these people spend money this early on.
Exactly! I mean it’s their choice, but it’s just so laughable someone would spend so much money already.

@YaiPa said:
We could say the same thing about prestiging...
Not really since prestiging is free and it doesn’t take that long to acquire 1 million blood points, especially during blood hunts.
@Hoodied said:
Okay, and what is wrong with this?
Nothing, it’s their decision. I’m just saying the psychological high of getting exclusive items to show off LONG before the rift even ends comes with people KNOWING you spent a lot of extra money.
-
No and definitely no. This pass is already too expensive due to the impossible challenges that all but force you to give up or pay up, and exclusive skins would only make toxicity and negativity towards the battle pass worse. It’s anti consumer to lock desirable skins behind a limited time pay wall, especially one where it’s not guaranteed (and not likely, without spending additional money) to get it in the first place.
Exclusivity is not worth the anxiety trying to get it, and all it does is encourage nasty people to lord it over others.

He literally only complains about cosmetics in his post...….
Balance is better now than it ever has been in the game. The dedicated servers are crap but hey im on xbox so who cares.
"I paid 1000 auric cells to get this battle pass and now the 25 auric cells it was going to give me will be delayed a little bit!" Do you see anything funny about that or is it just me?
There is no way this community is more toxic than any old FPS. Even the worst survivor salt is usually nothing compared to like a dota lobby or a CS:GO lobby or any other competitive game.
And a cash-grab battle pass is just standard for a video game these days? At least there is no-nonsense character progression instead of progression-by-lootboxes.
Nobody is forcing you to buy it.
I feel sorry for you that you cannot see why dbd’s battle pass is unfair, and that you think it’s okay for multi million dollar companies to take advantage of you and your wallet.
“Nobody’s forcing you” is a lie and it’s what they WANT you to think as they create impossible circumstances that strongly encourage you to buy into their system that uses real money to bypass such roadblocks.
Loot boxes and battle passes are cut from the same gambling cloth - you are not getting what you pay for, but a CHANCE to get what you want.
-
I love it! Her hair doesn’t look like uncooked noodles and there’s finally a canon outfit! So long banana pants!
I’m going to pick that up when Nancy’s comes out.
-
Crouch, syringe, video tape, tampered timer, rule set 2, the other pink add on (especially with Lery’s Or Hawkins offerings), Crate of gears, +1 add ons, and maybe a few face masks if your piggy sense is telling you those survivors are running exhaust perks.
Pig’s add ons need some love though - they’re very unfortunate.
I’m trying to p3/max all killers too! I have Plague and Michael on p3, and I’m going to get the Doctor to p250 before the end of the bloodhunt so I feel inspired to get him to p3 (since he’s one of my favorites but I already have a special outfit for him - Victorian with the metal baseball bat.) I think next bloodhunt I’ll try working on a killer I would rather not bother with, like Clown or Leatherface.

@NuclearBurrito said:
Maybe. But only for the item dropped from the perk. Not items dropped manually or items sitting in chests.
I agree about items in chests opened or unopened, but I do think manually dropped items should still be included since the item is dropped and Franklin’s revolves around dropped items. Not to mention, dropping items is a way to circumvent Franklin’s currently - there should be some risk for doing so since your items won’t be damaged that way.
@[Deleted User] said:
An aura, and a possible notification if they're picked up?
If it’s the item or stacks noise, yes. If it’s the same crashing boom noise like most everything else, I say no - there’s too much of that and it would be abused.

@TheShape78 said:
Not at all. I actually consider her to be one of the creepiest killers in the game. Something about her stance, the way she walks, the way she looks and sounds, and most importantly, her mori. She literally rips the survivor's insides out and eats them. No offense, but anyone who finds that "adorable" has a screw loose.
She has the best mori, and I do think Hag can have a creepy factor. I get jump scared with her traps more times than I would expect. But I just think her walk and demeanor is just kind of adorable. Like she’s just having a good time.
To me, Ghostface is the creepiest but he too can be funny, especially nice ones - but Clowns for sure give me the willies. Nothing appealing about Clown.
-
Tbh I was expecting 2/2, with David and Julie being for shards and Frank and Jane being paid. I’m glad Jane was shards! I had 23, 540 and I have all of Jane’s unique skins for the most part (minus full yellow outfits and the hair to her daytime show look.)

Insidious, Furtive Chase, Mindbreaker, Surge, Bamboozle, Beast of Prey, Territorial Imperative, and Tinkerer.
Oddly, Monstrous Shrine doesn’t usually show up until later.
