I don’t see anything?
-
Freddy needs significant buffs.
Legion is the killer that could use a significant rework. It’s odd how Legion feels weak to play outside of exploits but too strong and inescapable versed.
-
Has there been any news?
-
Yeah, it really sucks. That and the whole just ignoring Freddy after he’s slept you to rush an action (seriously you should only be able to run and vault in the transition) is absolutely egregious and needs to be fixed.
I will never forget this awful game I had against swf who 3 of whom would purposely run into my terror radius and wake each other up and body block the third so I would swipe a freshly awake survivor and it felt absolutely awful and helpless. Like #########, you would THINK falling asleep would cancel wake up but it just puts Freddy into an endless helpless loop without strong blocks (I wanted to try swing chains.) Once I realized they were purposely trying to keep me occupied while Feng did gens, I tried to ignore them but they kept swarming me or tapped and took over gens if I scared Feng off. I felt absolutely toothless and I hope I never have a game like that again.

You really don't like the hatch do you?
I actually don’t mind it.
However, what gets my goat, is the survivors power up gens and the gates are open and some jerk holds you as the killer hostage because they want the hatch and/or they’re purposely waiting for you to see them at the hatch before leaving. I have had too many games where the game went on 15+ minutes after the gates are up because of such behavior.

Why do you keep pumping out threads wouldn’t it be better to just keep it to one main thread and call it suggestions?
Other thread: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/50820/what-if-toolboxes-only-applied-to-sabo#latest
Because they’re two different topics?
sorry for trying to be involved?
-
@TheRealDweard said:
That would make the tool box useless because sabotaging hooks is rarely worth it anymore. What about us solo players?
What about killers who lose 2 gens before they can even check a gen halfway from their starting point?
With certain add ons, like say BNP, maybe hooks regen significantly slower or they ensure the hook breaks upon an unhooking - like built in breakdown. Maybe with this change, sabos are quicker.
I don’t use any items as a solo survivor and I get gens done fine.

No because as soon as she approached you in TR range she could then just walk away while you need to go cleanse.
This would only be balanced if the infection decreased outside of TR like the Doctor's madness.
No, not really. It would not be instant. But if you were in her range for 20 seconds, yeah you might be sick.
-
@NMCKE said:
I feel like it would be cheap to instantly infect a survivor who walks into your terror radius BUT I think it would be cool if you get infected faster while in it (when not in a chase).
I’m not saying survivors get instantly infected but if they’re in her terror radius they should get more sick, at first slowly, but the longer they’re ahem EXPOSED to her radius (especially to her), the sickness meter gets faster and faster until broken and fully infected.
-
@Okapi is right. Xenomorph is a must.
Also it would be cool if Bill is pc only, consoles could get Amanda Ripley exclusively.
-
Will you get both?
Decide which perks you value more, whosever you like more, get them.
-
I have a phobia of saliva. And I would be absolutely terrified in the worst way if a male killer’s mori involved either pressing or laying down on a survivor. If they added such a killer I would probably be in a similar position to yours.
You could try disassociating the vomit from what it actually is - you could pretend it’s slime, infected blood, poisoned water, etc. You could try repeating to yourself that she’s not real and none of this is real, or that she’s an actress who is using some strange combo of chocolate syrup and corn syrup. Or you can try your best to avoid her and if she finds you close your eyes and just move on to the next game ASAP.
I’m sorry you have to go through this.
-
God forbid a woman over 20 doesn’t have a perky butt.
Ace needs to wash his hair and get a style that doesn’t make him look like a car salesman who calls women he finds attractive “m’lady” but you don’t see me complaining.
-
I’m a little concerned because Freddy, the killer everyone says is weak and bad, has a distinct advantage no other killer has: pure invisibility in the waking world and practically unlimited aura reading in the dream world. This makes it so people who do pick him up can make him work.
What does this killer have? I play on console so I can only watch others on the ptb, but I am concerned that this killer will be better off just using her basic attack because anything else is a waste of time. It would be one thing if corrupted purge instantly downed people or being sick gave you a slower speed on actions, but it’s not.

what makes her less controversial?
Because Claudette is unfortunately seen as toxic.
-
@xmenfanatic said:
Survivors aren’t supposed to know where the killer is. You’re supposed to not have the upper hand as a survivor. It’s a horror survival game, and survival is supposed to be challenging
I agree, and that’s partly what I’m saying. Auras >>>>>> locations, therefore killers should be getting more auras instead of locations, and survivors should only get killer info through location instead of having a feast of killer aura perks.
-
Because she’s an original, she’s a girl (girls are always more fun to dress up,) she’s traditionally more marketable, and she’s less controversial.
-
I personally like it. That chant though is really nice and my mori loving booty will just be like “yes, ma’am.”
I do agree with @ABannedCat in that the thing that I think doesn’t sell the mori to most people is the passivity of the survivor. They at least need to shriek in horror if they’re supposed to be paralyzed with fear from the Plague goddess, and I think it would sell the mori more if their body twitches after being thrown up on, to give the impression it wasn’t just your standard throw up.
-
Nea + Claudette: I like to be stealthy and I suck at chases
David + Dwight: Come on team! We got this! No we don’t? Well I will feast on your remains with my blood points.
Soon to be Jane: Because I’m not a feller and I ain’t no high schooler. Also my psn is a Jane Austen tribute.
Doctor + Freddy: Give me bp or give me (your) death. Also call me Magenta from Rocky Horror because I like to see all.
Michael: Feed me, Seymour. Feed me all night long. And now you’re dead.
Hag: I love strategy.
-
@Master said:
I like it, I dont wanna rank up anyway.
Give me the bloodpoints, but take away as much emblem points as you want =)
Deranking should not ever be encouraged. A healthy competitive environment is when everyone strives to play their best and are matched with other players of similar ability. Slaughtering survivors or killers at lower ranks than you is weak and cowardly.

Instead of reducing the amount of Chests that spawn with those 2 Coin Offerings, change them so 1/2 Chests are now corrupted Chests.

Fair enough. I was just spitballing numbers. You and Blue_Diamond make good points.

My spidey sense goes off when I see bald Dwight. He is literally the devil. Megs that are bright and stylish will bodyblock me and run me for a loop. Bloody Lauries know what they’re doing. Claudettes with p3 or camo with the short or dreadlocks hair will give me a headache and/or screw fellow survivors over by waiting for the hatch.
That being said, I am average at best, and I style my survivors to look good. I love 90s Meg and I know I look brighter than a Christmas tree but she looks so cute. Same with shirtless David. I am also terrible at chases so I do try to wear clothes that keep me relatively hidden, but I never try to be toxic.
-
I can’t stand it when a sweat with friends group takes their sweet time leaving and there’s nothing I can do about it besides gain a paltry sum of bp. You won! Just go! Leave me in peace!
If the gates are up, the hatch should be removed. Imo, the hatch should also ONLY come into play when you are literally the sole survivor - no more working until 3, ooh there’s the hatch screw you everyone.
The Entity should also punish lingering survivors. After the exit gates are powered, when you’re in range you have exactly 10 seconds to leave before the Entity gives you your own personal blood warden. After the exit gates are powered, if you’re not hooked or effected by blood warden, there is a countdown of 30 seconds before the Entity reveals your aura to the killer and exposes you. Be grateful for your life you little snots.
-
You could pretend the vomit is slime. Or oddly colored blood. Like the plague infected the blood.

At least Freddy doesn’t look like he would send Matilda Wormwood to Trunchbull’s school.
Freddy is so underrated once you get to know him. So full of possibilities. Ace looks like a drunk gambler cars salesman.

Ace looks like a GA used car salesman. I like being cute like Claudette and in David’s case, eye candy.

@Malestrom1313 He's played a couple of private killer games and he didn't do bad (as Hillbilly) and didn't have any complaints about any QTEs that he was unable to complete. I don't play Killer so I was unable to advise him if any of the other killers have QTEs or not. Do you know? I think we're going to try a public game today and see how he does.
I like the token idea @pemberley but am curious, would the player in those cases have tokens applicable to all skill checks (healing, sabotaging, gens, etc.) or just gens? Also, would staying out of the killers terror radius allow you to earn used tokens back?
Thanks for the input, these are great ideas. Do you have any more thoughts before I send the thread to the devs?
My idea would be that it would work for anything that requires a skill check (minus ds maybe. Maybe ds could work if it took 2 tokens just because it’s so powerful.) And that it would essentially be the counterpart to stake out - perhaps 20 seconds instead of 15 to be more fair. Every 20 seconds you’re not in a terror radius, you gain a token.
Some other ideas could be:
1. Hold x for struggle. It would be good for everyone AND for the longevity of the x button on controllers.
- press and hold L3 or R3 to wiggle. It’s also something I struggle with, and would probably help controllers too.
- Magnify, increase opacity, bolden, and/or change colors of regular and ruined skill checks. Because I know if you’re near auras or a garbage can or corn, it can be very hard to see.
- Another perk idea: Slow and steady wins the race. Your explosions/screams are 30/40/50 percent quieter, and your chance of requiring a skill check are 25/50/75 percent lower. Probably not what you want against Freddy, but Adrenaline helps there.
- Another perk idea: Silence is Golden: On a cooldown of 60/45/30 seconds, any missed skill checks by you or someone within 4 m of you will not alert the killer.
-
Survivors are more than fine with 4. Killers though I think could stand to gain a few more slots, particularly especially against swf.
-
I don’t know if there’s much anyone can do outside of gen tapping or powering through with technician because the skill checks are always varied.
We could petition the devs to include more accessibility stuff (I’m disabled too - cp, largely affects my right side) like having a controller vibrate before a skill check appears. Or more perks like Technician and Stake out, like maybe the longer you’re NOT in a terror radius you gain 2/3/4 tokens that allow you to autocomplete skill checks.
-
Simple.
If Freddy sleeps you, you can only run (or vault at 50% speed.) No more doing gens and healing etc. when falling asleep. Respect Freddy.

Yeah, the things that make him fun to use are what makes him so unfun to play against.
The total invisibility and permanent aura reading need to go.
No they don’t. They really don’t. God forbid survivors have to adapt to different play styles from different killers. If you don’t want Freddy to see you, wake up and hope he doesn’t have Nurse’s.
Imo, Freddy, Michael, and maybe Doc are the only killers that are actually formidable to play against and force survivors to be on their toes; to me, they are both the funnest to play as and against.
I also hope the rework isn’t a redesign. I used to play Overwatch and Symmetra was my favorite hero...and they gave her a “dramatic” rework that basically coddled the Genjis she regularly fried and said f you to actual Symmetra players (and particularly her disabled player base who liked her accessibility.) I really hope that isn’t Freddy because I genuinely like playing as Freddy and Freddy is very accessible for me.
-
Me, working on a gen. Then I see Pig or Michael. They’re the only thing that genuinely freaks me out.
Also as a killer when survivors jump out of lockers, why, why must you scare me I scare YOU. I also get nervous when I down a survivor near a pallet and worry someone is going to drop a pallet on my head. -
A good console exclusive could be Tess from The Last of Us. Also how cool would a clicker be for a killer.A_Crow said:I wanted to make a discussion about console exclusive characters but all I could think of was Marcus Fenix for Xbox and I still had no ideas for perks for him. -
I tried saving for the last chapter, albeit it was like halfway into the ptb and I managed to get wglf 2 (I had no bbq above 1 until I leveled Freddy last month,) and I only got like 350k saved before Legion hit. Maybe it will be faster with bbq 3 at my disposal now.Master said:You can earn the BP so fast, theres no need to already save up at this point.
I will take a look at the PTB and then decide if I want the killer at all, then I might save up 1kk
I like having all the perks at my disposal. -
Feng has both an unrealistic and kind of annoying injured cry and she sings on the hook. It sounds like what an anime survivor would scream and cry like. Nea’s hook scream sounds like a rooster but she’s fine otherwise.
The best I think would probably be Jake and Laurie. They sound like they’re in actual pain being hit with a killer weapon. I also like Meg, Claudette, and David. -
On the contrary, I believe Christianity and horror go hand in hand. Not only because of the historical horrors inflicted by it, but if you look at horror you can identify Christian morals (ie. Don’t have sex, do drugs, or have no regard for your fellow man; the people who drink, screw, get high, and are jerks tend to die.)Dwight_Confusion said:If it has a religious vibe, that is interesting. I doubt it. I think BHVR are smart enough to not go that route.
Who knows. Looks interesting.

I like her cosmetics but her base one is really ugly imo and also exposed so prestiging her is out of the question...also my one friend plays Feng and my other friend plays Meg. I love Laurie but bright exposed outfits + her reputation for being toxic + killers going after you because of Laurie’s rep = not my cup of tea. Although I might play Laurie more if she got her 2018 aesthetic.Saint_Ukraine said:@pemberley said:

Yeah I know, I use her Starlet jeans and Christmas sweater and brown hair but even with the p3 she’s still exposed. And I don’t mind her but I just don’t feel like a Kate, you know?
What about Feng? She's pretty cute, and she's got good amounts of modest attire. And hey, there's always Laurie.
Butch Nea and Claudette are more my style but unfortunately there’s not a whole lot of cosmetics Nea has that take on her flannel style and Claudette has really cute and “there’s a killer about let’s not expose ourselves with a neon sign saying come hither” femme clothes but Claudette has an even bigger rep for toxicity than Laurie. -

Because they will only get a few thousand blood points and they could have actually played the game? 4ks are not satisfying when it’s just one and done, it’s not victorious it’s just going through the motions to get to the next game.powerbats said:@pemberley said:
Why would a killer do nothing until endgame? That sounds like such a waste of time AND they get a pittance of blood points. Lose lose.
And noed can always be adjusted so that scenario does not happen. Like the Entity punishes you the killer for going afk and not even chasing survivors so no noed. Or keep it a hex that spawns when the endgame hits.
Why wouldn't the killer do nothing until endgame if they get free downs and possibly a 4k all for doing absolutely nothing?
The killer can just game it, chase and stop chasing rinse and repeat and simply afk run around the map ala Billy.
Like I said, the game can remove noed from play if such behavior happens but my vision of this being in the base game is from killers who actually hunt and hook survivors and remind survivors they’re literally and figuratively not out of the woods yet. -

That's a no and this from a Killer main and Spirit main that'll occasionally run NOED if I'm having bad games or screwing around for the scares.
To me that's no different than rewarding the person that goes and hides all game waiting for either the hatch or the gates to be powered.

It giving survivors a free home run is a little ridiculous, not useful. If they get downed near the exit, a killer should be able to pick them up with no penalty AT LEAST. I would go as far to say ds should not activate when the gens are done and/or an exit has been started or completed. It unfairly punishes the killer for what would a) be a fair down and b) doesn’t punish the unhooker for unhooking in front of the killer.TrAiNwReCk said:@Milkymalk said:
@TrAiNwReCk said:
I'm not sure on this, but I would assume if there were to be a timer of any sort it would only clue the killer to the fact that survivor actually has DS and then will be able to purposely wait until their timer runs out = an unusable perk.Killer waiting for 1 minute = free win for survivors. Time is the one ressource the killer has to spend to do everything in the game.
The Killer won't need to wait (as if unable to do anything else) 60 seconds for anything. Just chase the one who unhooked the hooked survivor. It's not a perfect fix, but the only scenario I can think of is if 2 survivors are left, 1 unhooks the other and they are right next to an open exit. That is the only time I can think of that DS would actually be useful.
Even if there is only 1 survivor left and you chase them down meters away from hatch that have DS. They won't be able to use DS because it requires them to be unhooked for it to start the 60 second timer in order to use DS.
This is all subject to change, but as it is DS is unusable as long as the killer goes after the one unhooking and the timer will surely be at minimum half that if you manage to put the unhooking survivor into the dying state then find the unhooked survivor.
It's a win win in the sense Killers shouldn't (shouldn't) tunnel Survivors as much and Killers won't eat DS near as often since DS can't be used whenever a Survivor chooses.
I could be wrong, but it is my understanding of how the perk will work. If I am incorrect let me know.

Really? Huntress is the most likely to be nice in my experience. I recall several times we just followed her around like baby ducklings.
Pigs, Legions, and Spirits tend to be the toxic ones in my experience. -
If you play nothing but nurse for the next 2 weeks you’ll manage to hurt everyone and get a hook or two, maybe a couple sacrifices. And then just keep on practicing. You’re in for a trek.
Be prepared to lose hard and bad though especially in the first 2 weeks. Just think they might teabag but if you stick with Nurse they won’t anymore because they will be dead. -
Nurse is really hard on ps4. I have only ever come across 2 good nurses.
I was terrible with her and I only got less terrible with her after weeks of playing nothing but nurse. If I picked her up again I would be back to being downright terrible. On ps4, nurse is hard and it’s even harder when you take into how long you must put time into her and to KEEP playing her because you can’t get rusty. -
Why couldn’t you though? It would bring more perk diversity combos for killers.powerbats said:You made an attack thus consuming a token, that's how it's supposed to work otherwise you could run it with Unrelenting and swing non stop.

Cool idea but my only concern is that wouldn’t the disguise be moot because killers are already bigger than survivors? I doubt you’d fool anyone over rank 20 - “oh who’s that large girl with the cotton pink hair? Must be Nea.” Or “Huh, Jeff’s new skin looks cool.”
