There is top killer like the nurse and top survirvor like claudette.. if you wanna be on top....you know.
Nurse is her own character with her own abilities, strengths, and weaknesses.
Claudette is literally just a survivor skin. Your perks and load outs do not change just because you’re playing Claudette. Claudette has an unfair advantage because she is the only survivor with absolutely no tells for an observant killer, which is probably design oversight and not intentional.
And as I said in a previous post, clearly Claudette was not meant for stealth - that would be Nea, even Jake - her perks clearly indicate a healer/support play style.

I have a feeling if we don’t get Sidney and instead get Gale she’s going to have her bright chartreuse suit.

@pemberley ok, so you want to be chased around by a cheap costume? Do you realize how boring this game is without horror? Doesn’t matter if they’re mutually exclusive or not.
This dude is supposed to peek around corners at you. He’s supposed to be scary.
I bet you’re fine with Legion’s hoodie and Michael’s stolen mechanic outfit (who btw is basically Ghostface’s inspiration look wise.)
And idk about you but the sole horror left in this game as a veteran player is seeing Michael seeing you. I personally can’t wait for Ghostface to be the second killer to watch out for like that.

Exactly! People are so blinded by nostalgia that they don’t realize how ridiculous the original design looked. Ghost face was never actually meant to be scary. Those movies had quite a bit of comedy in them and never took themselves seriously.
Just because there is comedy and self awareness does not mean Scream and Ghostface weren’t supposed to be scary and serious either.
- ghostface is literally supposed to look that way. He’s supposed to look like any cheap costume anyone can get. He also deliberately wants to be taken not seriously until it’s too late - just like what happened with Casey and Tatum, even Sidney at first.
- The movie has an opening that’s more scary AND tragic than Psycho’s shower scene.
- The lore of the movie literally opens with how the killer we know to be Ghostface raped and slaughtered Sidney’s mom.
Comedy and self awareness, seriousness and horror are not mutually exclusive.

It's not an issue with all the darker skinned characters, just Claudette. Tapp and Adam are both fine; they have enough contrast on their outfits that it's not an issue. P3 and brown clothes Claudette is nearly invisible on some maps, and it's a massive advantage that shouldn't be limited to a single survivor like that.
Any survivor tbh. Every survivor has something that shows an observant killer they’re there and that’s how it should be.
Yet Claudette is the only survivor that doesn’t have this, giving her not only an unfair advantage but unfortunately opening her up to racist insinuations.

no. use enduring or don't tunnel.
I believe you misread my post.
When a survivor hits ds, their footsteps would become hidden to the killer for 4 seconds. This would be a buff for survivors and hopefully it WOULD punish tunneling more. This has nothing to do with killers dealing with the stun, in fact it’s quite the opposite.
@Sheldor said:
Scratch marks should be removed from the game alltogether. They had some justification in pre 1.4 patch times with blurry vision but with the laser sharp 4k vision across almost the entire map they are the mother of all crutches just like Chili and Nurses Calling...
We can think about removing scratch marks when 80% of all los blockers, lockers, and tall structures are removed. The maps are too big and too cluttered for killers to go without tracking footprints.
-
@NurseMainBTW said:
Decisive strike has never been more balanced than this. A perk suited for a good purpose that is strong AND has counterplay and ways to play around it. No need for buffs or it would go back in the broken tier
I don’t think hiding scratch marks would make ds broken. It would help survivors who are genuinely being tunneled and it wouldn’t matter to Those swfs because they’ll either be long gone or protected anyway.
I see it more as a qol change tbh.

No. Just use your eyes and ears and watch for crows flying.
By this logic, lets also give michael at least a 12-16 meter terror radius with red stain in tier one.
And you cant claim that its a problem that "everybody" agrees on as you cant speak for everybody. I dont agree at all. I kill claudettes just like i kill any other survivor. Just practice more i guess.
Take off the training wheels.
Are you seriously comparing Claudette to Michael?
Michael is a killer who thrives on stealth. It’s totally okay for him. Claudette is the only survivor with no tells. And for the record NO Claudette is not made for stealth - that’s arguably Nea. Claudette’s class archetype is clearly supposed to be healer.

A Xenomorph is actually a humanoid (at least for the purposes of animations). They've got big ol' heads, but they walk upright on two legs and have two arms sticking out to the side. They might be a bit slouched, but so is the hag. Animations wouldn't really be a limiting factor for a Xenomorph.
The bigger issue would be how they fit thematically. So far all of the killers have been human. Regular people that were taken by the Entity. It's not too terribly out of place to see any of the current killers running around in the existing maps. Having an actual alien running around a hospital, a preschool, or the streets of Haddonfield is a different story. They might not look out of place on a spaceship, but it would be a little weird seeing them down here.
On the flip side, it would also look pretty weird to have the Trapper or the Nurse running around the USCSS Nostromo.
Basically it's possible to make it work, it's more a matter of fitting with the theme of the game.
To be fair, Xenomorph could think the Entity is a Queen. Xeno could also use survivors as egg hosts, like it can do in the movies.
I don’t think map setting matters. We’ve seen Xenomorphs attack settlements and we play a game where Michael Myers can walk around the Saw plant. Also getting the Nostromo map expecting Alien and running into Michael or Ghostface would be terrifying.

Because first Claudette, then you'll have a P3 Tap being the problem, then a P3 Meg and then more killers will have more issues.
You remove one and then you'll start removing more.
That’s literally not true and a bit like declaring the sky will fall.
P3 Tapp still has bright blue in his outfit.
P3 Meg - red hair, purple pants
etc.
Literally the only one people take issue with is Claudette.
You could say Quentin would be next but people have to buy him and he’s still pasty white with a light grey cap and REALLY loud groans.
-
@CallMeSpidey said:
Yet no one complains about a P3 Adam, it's always Claudette.
Just adjust man, all killers go through this. She's not invisible, difficult to see, but not invisible.
No one complains about Adam because Adam has a big model with tall hair and a flowing white coat, even if it is bloody.
Claudette is small and her clothes are dark and washed out that blend into the map. Every survivor has something in their basic gear that makes them stick out, except Claudette.

At 30 seconds, a 4.6m/s killer would be able to move 138 meters. A 4.4m/s killer would be able to 132 meters. Even on the lower end, as long as the generator you want to kick is within 8 tiles (little under for a 4.4m/s, due to the kick animation), you should be able to kick it. In addition to that, you can also strategically hook the survivor closer to the generator you want to kick to give yourself a little more wiggle room.
That's not to say that a QOL change would be a bad thing by any means, but you should have plenty of time to kick the generator that you want to as is.
Does this take into account obstacles that can further slow down killers?
-
I never tunnel because as someone who’s been on the receiving end of being hooked unhooked rehooked IT’S NOT FUN (it’s only saving grace being I get to move on faster.) Plus I know even if they deserve tunneling, they want me to chase them and I don’t want to give them that satisfaction. And there’s nothing worse feeling than tunneling only for them to get away because it feels like you debased yourself for nothing.
I don’t camp either because for some reason when I play killer suddenly the survivors not only know what to do with gens but they all have borrowed time too (unlike my survivor games.) So again I would have debased myself for nothing and the survivor gets the satisfaction they got to me. The only time I “camp” is when I am doing a challenge like throw clown bottles and I need more survivors and I haven’t seen them all match to whittle the challenge down. But I don’t have any intention to camp them to death since I just want my challenge done faster.
-
I’m not scared of Claudette. However, her rather unique invisibility (and no it has nothing to do with her skin and everything to do with the fact her CLOTHES are very earthy in tone and blend into the maps, especially Coldwind) is incredibly exhausting and tiresome.
Killers are already on a massive time crunch, we don’t need our time wasted by playing Where’s Waldo if Waldo was actually a master of camouflage.

The one that gives you a corrupted fountain at the start of the game.

Surprise bitches!
The not cleansing thing is a really dumb way of playing against her, she's not Legion.
edit: That being said, she is add-on dependent. if they made it so that a fountain auto-corrupts if all survivors are sick, it would be great.
Since they added that thing that removes all her corrupted pools if they corrupt them all. (cause choosing not to corrupt your power to keep them all broken shouldn't be a viable strat? even though it's the default strat for survivors? This nerf shows that the devs feel that Survivors should be allowed to remove options for the kille,r but the killer isn't allowed to remove options for the survivors. Just look at how mch they argued about the Pigs traps in the new EGC)
4000 blood points add up though, and unlike brown add ons, yellows are a lot rarer in comparison - and you’re not guaranteed to get apples either.
Every killer, even Freddy, can function without investing in add ons. Add ons for them usually enhances gameplay to their advantage. Plague is the only one that genuinely struggles and her add ons are band aids for an undercooked kit.

Reaching a new level of devotion should grant you 5000 shards. Any future new devotion past level 5 should grant 1 x the devotion level. If you are level 7 you get 7000 etc.
I also think the shards should be multiplied by 10 once you’re devoted. 50 turns to 500, 300 turns to 3000. I bet more people would get cosmetics that way too.

If they ever really wanted to buff it block all totems and generators. The killer could gain a little momentum and prolong the game without adding a second generator or make generators last longer.
The complaint with ruin is players either work through it or find it quickly. Since ruin is used so much this would be a better alternative.
Blocking totems would create a nice synergy, especially if they needed to work on a gen if they want the timer to start. Good idea.

Just a quick note on the first one, increasing actions speeds means they'd be doing them faster. Increasing action times is what makes it slower.
For the last one, while it could be interesting, I feel like that would be a little too close to the doctor (you have a status effect that gradually increases and gives you various debuffs/penalties).
In either case, it’s quite clear by the context of the post I meant it as a debuff and not give survivors free speed boosts on top of the free instant heals they do get with her.
To be fair, right now as it currently stands, Plague vomit hardly constitutes as having any debuffs or penalties for survivors (that actually encourages them to seek a well asap and not when it’s convenient for them.)
On a second note, it seems perfectly reasonable to treat Plague similarly to the Doc while keeping them different. Not only are they thematically similar, but tbh they both deal in making survivors sick so it would make sense they would both have nasty effects on survivors. In fact in Plague’s case, it would make even more sense that she should have varying effects on sick survivors ESPECIALLY because unlike Doc, survivors get free heals from her (which is a bit ironic when you think about it.) Billy and Leatherface are similar and yet they are different too.
-
I agree. With more characters added, and items and perks costing the same (and perks ultimately being the worst at being affected by rng) blood points should increase, streamers should be more common in rarity, and I even think it could be a good idea to give all characters tier 1 of a learned perk free of charge. You learn or buy Ruin, Ruin 1 shoes up in every killer inventory.
-
- All action speeds and exhaustion cool downs are increased by 50% while infected or broken
- Make iridescent seal permanently infect objects. The more Plague infects them, the faster survivors are infected by them.
- I like your idea of vomit being a built in bloodhound!
- Plague should have fun and devious add ons that enhance her gameplay. Like delayed skill checks while infected. Infection causing exhaustion. Being infected causing deaf and blind effects. Etc.
-
@Scal3r said:
I agree being sick really is not a huge threat, all it does is basically give you no mither. I have been in plague games where nobody cleanses because we are confident enough looping and that really takes away from her power. She has a super cool concept but being sick really does not have any consequences and it ruins how she plays.
I love her design and I love her concept (which is why I am so adamant for positive Plague changes,) but she’s not there yet. But she COULD be, given the right changes - and making her vomit a more pressing threat while also giving Plague fun, devious, and interactive add ons that don’t feel like gameplay bandaids would be an excellent place to start.
-
I’m glad I got all my adept trophies before the change because holy heck if I hadn’t I would completely give up on getting that platinum. I’m a little sad Myers and Plague will be forever out of reach.
The only trophy I need now is the 4 man hatch escape and I’m hoping the new changes will make it a little easier since I’m under the impression the hatch opens when gens are powered now too.

Body blocking a hook is an exploit now???? lolololol
Let me introduce to you, the m1 key. It's used to hit survivors.
I had a killer block the basement for an entire 30 seconds just to make sure there was no borrowed time which I'm sure you would say is fair game (and I agree even if it is a dick move). But you have an issue with a survivor taking a hit and sacrificing for each other to save their teammates..... right...
Basic reading comprehension would show that I said that body blocking via standing and blocking the killer’s path is perfectly acceptable - crouch blocking is what’s borderline exploitive.

Surviving is toxic to most of these killer mains on here, FFS there's even a thread calling for a perk to break unused pallets AND block windows off permanently in one freaking perk!! The bias is unreal on these forums and it seems all the killers who dodge their way to a rank they dont belong want to cry when everygame they feel outmatched by better players , then want to derank to noob ranks and come back here to ######### about DC survivors. It's absolutely ridiculous and as someone who plays both sides to rank 1 I can tell you it's not far from balanced it's literally a few minor tweaks and QOL changes for both sides that could even it out , if it were as unfair as some claim then why the hell are they still here ? And why have they continued to play a game that they apparently hate? People just get salty over having a rough match and come here to vent unrealistic expectations to make the game easier for them instead of adapting
A) Literally no decent killer thinks surviving is toxic. How survivors behave or go about reaching the endgame through exploitive means could be toxic and that’s what killers take issue with.
B) Pretty sure permanently blocking windows comes from the fact that there’s a bug that allows survivors to vault even with bamboozle up. Breaking pallets before they fall is overkill though.
C) You literally cannot dodge your way into a higher rank.
D) You can like and enjoy a game while recognizing flaws and hoping it does better. It’s part of being an intelligent and knowledgeable consumer.
-
@RakimSockem said:
And until you're ready to address the fact that a killer can stand in the middle of a staicase and somehow block the entire thing, you complaining about crouch blocking a hook is 100% laughable.
Oh are you talking about the basement staircase? The very basement that’s supposed to be the killer’s lair and the one place survivors do not want to be in? Yeah, no.
One is borderline exploitive, where you could still block standing and blocking the killer’s path like somebody with a spine, the other is you asking for survivors to have yet another free handout even when the basement is the one place killer has the advantage.

Dude I can already 3-4k every match I play at red ranks, am I the best? Hell no definitely not but when you take killers who already don't have trouble getting the job done and throw them in with a full group only having 1 perk each it absolutely becomes a braindead 4k, the game is for the most part balanced there are only minor tweaks needed to make it even and what you're suggesting is way too drastic and has a killer bias like everything else you post on here
Rebalancing Nurse and Billy after the other killers get buffs is another story for another thread. Although now that you mention it, these changes would help other killers be more frequently played.
I do not have a killer bias. I play both sides equally. And BECAUSE I play both sides equally I know just how powerful swf are vs solos and killers. If the game was as decidedly in killers’ favor as it is now with swfs, I would advocate as such.
I want this game to be fun and fair for everyone who plays fun and fair (and not be toxic bullies.)
-
Do you play solo? Do you know how absolutely unreliable your fellow survivors are at healing? Sure, some good eggs will heal you up (like me, I am a very nice teammate who will heal you and even trade places so you can live,) but dear lord either it’s swf who will use you as a sacrificial lamb, sand baggers, or they could miss a skill check especially with HL.
I personally never felt comfortable relying only on medkits because some games chests spawn only flashlights and boxes, leaving you exposed or at others’ mercy. Self care is insurance. Self care comes in mighty handy when paired with botany and I become a super healer.
-
@OrionsFury4789 said:
So basically you want a braindead 4k against a perkless group
Did you even read the entire post? I’m suggesting that groups stay as groups, solos essentially get buffs and benefits that make them on equal footing as current swf, current popular swf trends be a little less exploitive (Bloody Claudette with a key crouch blocking a hook,) and that killers get incentives to actually WANT to play swf AND lower the rates of lobby dodges.
And swf wouldn’t be perkless. Duos essentially play like adepts and Quads have 1 each, totaling 4 unique perks and items, making for creative and challenging builds.
How is any of this bad? Unless you want a brain dead 4 man escape and are afraid of an actual challenge.
It makes sense to make quad swf hard mode given all the benefits they have and the perks they naturally have at their disposal.

Dcs in general ruin the experience.
That being said, while yes dcs are bad and cowardly from everyone, survivor dcs are worse because it hurts solos and killers most.

I have played since August and it’s kind of easy to tell and guess what some might have. Especially Iron Grasp. And people with TotH tend to run noed. Etc.

Get the Hag. Hag is far stronger than Plague, has a wider range of add on and perk combos than Plague, has universally useful perks vs Plague’s highly situational ones, and is generally more bang for your buck tbh.
Plague WOULD be worth it if she was actually decent but she’s not. You need to invest in many and expensive add ons just for her to function. Hag you can play vanilla OR create fun play styles.
Hag. For sure.

@pemberley How is it any less spineless to dodge because you think, key word think they are swf or are bringing OP items? Both are cowardly moves in my opinion.
Because literally no one is obligated to stay in a lobby, a glorified waiting room, for whatever reason. The game hasn’t started yet so it’s completely fair. Killers, keep in mind, also dodge based on past experiences and intuition and if it feels fishy, looks fishy, and smells fishy - your intuition is probably right. Killers are totally within their rights to dodge a dodgy lobby before the game starts.
Dcers on the other hand are purposely leaving a game because 9.9/10 times they’re toxic little hobgoblins. They’re screwing everyone over in the game for their own ego trip, especially solos and killers.

Quoting this points:
- Vile Purge permanently infects objects (like literally every other Seal in her arsenal, except better because pink.)
- Corrupt Purge inflicts dying on the victim
Do you have any remote idea of how broken this would be? With this change The Plague would end up being a tier 3 Myers with an Irihead incorporated in the first minute of the game with having little to no counterplay. I want IriSeal to be good but not to the point of being a fun-killing machine of doom.
But there’s also 3 drawbacks:
- Slow speed
- Tremendously short duration (so like she would only have Corrupt for between 40-20 seconds at a time (whichever tremendously means.))
- Survivors have moderately fast healing speed on wells that already have fast heals.

To play Devil's Advocate, it wouldn't really change much. Say the Survivor brings a yellow medkit. It has 16 charges. If you hit that Survivor, the 10% of the charges it loses drops it down to 14.4 charges, which is not enough for a heal. You basically rendered the item pretty much pointless with that one attack, they'll need to find someone else to finish the heal anyway.
Buffing the durability loss would also seem great on paper, but there's a very simple counter to it: Just drop your item. Once you know the Killer is using it, all you have to do to completely avoid the durability loss is drop it before you get chased. You're not going to use a map, key, or toolbox in a chase anyway, even flashlights would only provide a tiny benefit against a decent killer. This way not only will your item not lose durability, but you'll also know exactly where it is when you go get it later.
Assuming that survivor doesn’t have self care, botany, or charge/efficiency add ons - but that’s usually not the case.
Also yes, yellow kits might be more common but let’s be honest - people who bring medkits (especially in a multi item lobby or swf) tend to bring yellow or better (on top of add ons.) Franklin’s isn’t as damaging as it could be to be effective though.
This change would also directly affect maps, boxes, lights, and possibly keys although tbh I don’t know how they work in regards to charges. And in my opinion, I think those items - especially multiples - is what gives killers headaches more than medkits.

No need to be rude.
You’re not in a game when you’re in a lobby. Everyone can leave if they choose to. However, when you go into a match after committing to it and you dc like a salty coward, you’re ruining the game for everyone and you look like a little weasel.
Therefore dodging and dcing are not comparable because dcing is far worse.
-
@brokedownpalace said:
It's already a good perk, it doesn't need a buff. 33% is absurd.
No it’s really not. 33% means the killer needs to hit you 3 times for your item to be worthless for the match.
Franklin’s is a bit of an inconvenience swf don’t really respect. Upping it’s damage would be a buff that will truly help negate items, and it might even encourage killers to face off swfs with 4 boxes.
Not to mention this would be an indirect nerf to MoM builds without even touching that monstrosity.
-
Oh yes because preemptively saving yourself the waste of time that is facing a swf with full load outs and op add ons who will hold the game hostage is JUST LIKE being a little salt mine rage goblin dcing because they can’t stand getting hooked or facing killer add ons.
If you dc you’re a little spineless nanny goat.
Lobby dodging is what you get for knowingly bringing items killers dislike.

I agree to a point. Iirc Plague was classified as a “fun” killer by the devs and sure, she COULD be fun she’s ALMOST there but she’s not because she is not viable and her power is held back for SURVIVORS fun. Plague could be so much more than just giving survivors an icky green coating.

You don't think you guys are getting a little carried away with this? The item is already dropped and cannot be instantly re-acquired (assuming the killer is still standing there trying to chase you). You might never have a chance to search or even find it again. Plus, another hit will cause the same problem and reduce it's charge.
If you want to make it stronger, you already have a perk that consumes them super-fast. Watch how fast it works in a video sometime, it makes a big difference. This is not the kind of perk that needs a buff.
Nope. It’s not THAT hard to remember where you dropped your item and really careful survivors can preemptively drop an item to deny Franklin’s before a chase. If survivors want to play dirty, killers should at least be able to give them a hard time if they have Franklin’s instead of mildly inconveniencing them. As it stands right now, swf even bait Franklin’s with full load outs because they don’t see it as a threat.
Killers have only 4 perks to cover a myriad of gameplay hurdles, and in its current state, Overwhelming Presence is not worth the second slot.
@PolarBear I agree it should not break after 1%, hence the max 33% equaling to a total of 99% damage. That would be absolutely fair in my opinion.
