  • Hey lets make a killer that can cross the entire map in 2 s and gets an autohit on anyone nearby if he just aims in the general direction of that survivor +- 90 degree.

  • You shouldn't mock a killer for ineficient gameplay. It is boring enough when unskilled killers walk up and down the first survivor with still all gens intact.

But what do you expect from a game company that invests a lot of energy in "punishments", has a game design that is so utterly bad that they even require to establish a possibility to hide profiles from other players etc and is unable to make small adjustments to fine tune the game but have to drop the atomic bomb on the game every 3-6 months ?

I experienced enough narcolepsy attack games where the killer just camps and tunnels that I rarely play the game anymore.

If you are not the first guy to get hooked you just hold M1 and hit space. Yawn.

  • BHVR from day 1 of this game was always unable to make slight, careful decent tuning changes to the game. It always had to be the atomic bomb on several aspects. So what did you expect ?

I don't get paid a yearly salary to figure it out. Pay me and I'll figure it out for you. But these things can be fixed.

Here is my first suggestion :

    1) Downed survivors should NOT be able to see aura of teammates. Crawl around to safe spot, wait for someone to come get you. But this aura reading is being abused by troll snitches and also Killers who want to slug and recruit survivor to help them. This helps stop the snitch problem that both Killers and Survivors are doing.

    2) Add option to disable spectating for my character. I've been victim of troll SWF's far too many times by one of them being dead, and telling the other one what to do. I have a recording of a small Twitch streamer who was in an SWF, and I was solo Q matched up with them, and I saw the vod. One of the dead survivors on our team was her friend in a Discord with her, and he was telling her where to run to sandbag me over and over. "He's behind that wall, no no, go that way" etc... and she would ask "Where is claudette!" whenever the Killer was on her.

    3) We need to remove the incentive for survivors to try and work with killers... so.... start punishing Killers who are breaking rules by playing Dungeon Master and trolling certain players, or favoring certain players over others. Killers job is to kill everyone. The end.

I mean, I'm not being paid a salary to figure this out, but it CAN be figured out. Many other games have fixed their issues.

Sending in a video proof like that should result in a 3-6 month ban for all players involved

  • No point staying in a boring game where the majority of killer players has no other playstyle but camp and tunnel. I played this game many hours per week when it was still fun. I barely play it every other month just to get confirmed that it still sucks like crazy.

Maps get modified more killer friendly with every patch, pallets removed, windows closed, perks nerfed to oblivion.

And killers just stroll tight circles around the first survivor hooked even if there are still 5 gens to go.

When I play the eventual killer game I do not even need to make much of an effort to get 3-4 kills.

    YAWN

  • YES ! Gens should take 180 minutes to finish and should be blocked for 3 hours. Survivors should be locked in place with crows over their heads and constant notifications for 60 minutes ! really !

  • Double healing, free of any skill whatsoever survivor detection across almost the entire map. Yawn. Another boredom guaranteed round

fun fact, deciding to ragequit by DC/suiciding on hook and ruining the game for the other 4 players in the lobby because you don’t feel like facing something that’s a part of the game that is available to be used is on you, not them

something being potentially unbalanced doesn’t excuse ragequitting

Fun fact: sometimes there is no rage involved but boredom and annoyance watching 3 teammates make no attempt whatsoever to get you off a hook and let you struggle through almost all of phase 1 on the hook. You make one last attempt to free yourself - and then ? struggle on the hook or just let go to move on to a more interesting game ?

Ever considered that or is anyone who does not play along a stupid and boring round automatically "raging" ?

  • And why is that good ?

Why bother playing a game at all where as a solo queue player your chances of winning a game (getting out alive) is barely 10-20 % ? Getting defeated by crybaby killers who cried for years to make the game harder and harder for survivors with every patch in 8-9 out of 10 games ?

Best decision is to move on to other games.

Survivor is fun with friends but alone it's not fun unless killer is bad and you can loop him to oblivion so I play soloQ mostly for challenges. Killer is much more fun and I like to destroy my opponents. But not every match is fun as sometimes you lose.

Killer has been made easier with almost every patch. It is ridiculously easy to 4k each and every game if you just don't give survivors a chance to unhook and press on a final 3 gen configuration. Bingo. All dead. I have a hard time NOT to 4k as killer, even if I don't really put a lot of energy into the game.

  • Had this too today

  • The neccessity of perks likle DS or BT comes purely because the developers choose bandaid solutions for their bad design decisions all over the place. If a camping or tunneling kill would yield the amount of BP they are worth in terms of skill or entertainment value such a kill would give the killer 1-5 BP, making it nearly impossible to advance and all those perks pointless.

Instead they put energy in things like ban police or timeouts for disconnects (no matter if due to THEIR programming errors or other reasons) and killers that can shoot through any obstacle and wallhack perks and addons all over the place.

  • User interface is generally not their strong side.

    Not even remotely.

After all those years you still have to completely pointlessly klick the mouse when a level in the bloodweb has finished.

You still have to completely void of any common sense buy the first 10 bloodwebs by klicking every bloody item with the mouse.

You still have to acknowledge pointless help informations that you have been presented 20000000 times.

How often did you end up jumping into a closet close to a window in a chase instead of vaulting the window ?

and the perks the double the regression speed; that blow a gen from a distance - oh, and they nerfed the repair speed some time back, but yea

And the multitude of perks and addons that allow the killer to see the exact position and direction they are heading to basically across the entire map

  • LOL. Play survivor as a solo player just ONCE.

Killers got so pampered that you simply wont make it out 9 out of 10 games.

The game has become ultra boring for non SWF players.

It’s a problem because 1 DC ruins the match for everyone else. If there’s a DC every other match, well you do the math.

It ruins the game for everyone just as well if the killer does nothing but camp from the very first survivor on. Either you degrade the game to a M1 holding/Space punching boredom or people try to save just to get denied to play their side of the game as well by some uninspired, unskilled killer player.

    What's better ?

  • I experience round after round of killers camping and tunneling even if still 4-5 gens need to be finished.

The utter manifestation of pure boredom, watching a patch of wet paint dry is more entertaining than that crap.

No idea what all this killer whining about how hard they have it in the game is really about.

  • @El_Gingero said:

As harsh as it sounds, DC penalties bring disabled is a bigger issue. No penalty = at least 1 DC almost every match.

And why is that even a problem ? If the company would just grant killers full points as if the DC had been hooked twice and died on the hook it would void the idiocy of "penalties" by a game company against their customers who don't like to finish a round for whatever reason.

  • @El_Gingero said:

As harsh as it sounds, DC penalties bring disabled is a bigger issue. No penalty = at least 1 DC almost every match.

And why is that actually a problem ? If the developers finally would just grant the killer full points for every DC as if they had hooked that person twice and it had died on the hook the whole idiocy of DC "penalties" - issued by a game company feeling compelled to "punish" their customers - would be absolutely irrelevant.

  • Imagine having an event where you need tokens to create more tangled gens or hooks.

Imagine the 'devs' manage to generate 10 bloodwebs in a row not containing ONE single one of these tokens.

    Welcome to DBD reality.

  • Already over the edge for a long time. Everybody is claiming the game is so survivor sided yet its being made easier and easier all the time for killers.

Windows that get closed, complete areas in maps where there is NOTHING to hide.

Wallhack perks and add ons and now since 2 killers even mechanics that make the game take over the killers job automatically.

  • Nothing but a boring shitshow of one tunneling and camping killer after the other. The game has become a ridiculous joke.

  • And plenty of "I can see your Aura clearly through walls all of the time" add-ons

  • The whole idea of having a chat filter in a game rated 18+ is absolutely ridiculous.

If you dont like to read the trash people babble in after game chat close the chat.

Everything else is just american baby mentality PC bullshit

  • @Gaffy said:

Did the killer catch you in the open by their own game knowledge and you would be dead otherwise? Just press E and have an i-frame to make it to the next loop.

Did the killer red light mind game you at a pallet and there's no way to recover from the distance the killer has gained towards you? Just press E to instantly dodge their swing and be safe at the pallet.

This perk is the literal definition of a crutch, a way to fix a mistake you made on your own accord and completely negate all mind game from the killers side.

And the excuse of "wait it out" is complete and utter BS when this perk is used for the distance instead of the damage 80% of the time by better players. Can't wait until BHVR puts this perk in the trash where it belongs, zero mind game or counters for free invincibility and distance because you played badly and got injured.

Did the killer catch you in the open by his own game knowledge ? Or maybe by several of the killer wallhack perks or add ons that were introduced into the game ?

Chili, Nurses calling, Mirror Myers naming just a few.....

  • @Marcavecunc said:

I agree there should be a checkbox "Don't show this message again" when seeing a tooltip in the bloodweb.

As for the intro video and title screen.. every game has those, sorry but it's like the intro song to tv shows, if you binge watch something, you'll get it stuck in your head for weeks.

You can skip intros on Amazon Prime and Netflix. Many games used to have a command line option to skip it. And then why ANOTHER mouse click to actually make the game start connecting to the game server....

  • No. They are perfectly fine. Whenever a killer lounge hits his weapon anywhere in the map you should receive a hit.

Like in all those maps where you can jump out of the first floor and your hitbox extends 100 km into space and you still receive a hit even when you are already one full floor below.

  • Yes. The developers code bullshit and of course it is YOUR fault so YOU have to face the consequences !

  • Can we have a "buy random" button for the whole bloodweb and an option to turn off the "Oh by the way did you know the bloodweb will regenerate every time blablabla" notification that we have to read EVERY time even if we already read and understood it the 120902949872312312423565659872435978 times before ?

  • You are playing an 18+ game. You are by no means whatsoever considered able to make your own decisions about language and what to accept. You need a perverted political correctness bot software to make those decisions for you and protect your eggshell of an ego.

  • Sell it to a professional publisher with professional programmers and QA testers and have them recode and redesign the spaghetti mess that BHVR has trapped themselve into....

How often do you DC that you're up to a 5 minute penalty?

Once was enough obviously. I didn't dc before

  • Played a game today and got disconnected from the round by STEAM MAINTENANCE.

Guess what, got a 5 minute "penalty" for it.

    This is plain idiotic.

Will I spend a single cent on another game that I find associated with this studio or any of its developers ? Hell, NO.

I hope all their projects end like death garden did.

  • It is more than 2 years overdue that the designers of this game do something against lame killer players outcamping each and every single game. Tonight I have played 6 rounds so far and every single one of them was a silent killer just standing cloaked close to the hook waiting for people to unhook so he can tunnel or doctor players who spam the area and never leave more than a lounge distance.

A kill like that should yield what it's worth in skill and entertainment value - 25 points. Not more. Taking away most of the game activity from one side of the game and even calling this legitimate tactics is just another example at the level of lameness this dev team has demonstrated over the years.

  • Best event I ever had was cleansing a dull totem while the last gen was done and the thing activated into NOED on the last 2 s I needed to finish it. Meeeep KABOOM gone

  • There is no such thing as infinite loops in ANY map. Infinity for some people who skipped all math classes seems to begin at "2" these days.

Literally any place that had looping potential gets opened for killers by breakable doors, gaps or pallets removed.

  • @gendoss said:

The point of the PTB isn't always to change things that people don't like. It's also for catching bugs and other miscellaneous things.

Aaaaahahahaha this really made my day. To catch bugs. Ahahahahahahaha

  • Holy ######### you even have to MOVE as a killer to get some kills. God forbid that puhleeeaaaase. Lets restrict all levels to ONE single Pallet and ONE single window jumpable at diagnonally spaced locations set across the map.

Still there would be killer players howling how unfair that is....

  • 'Punishing' the players in case of a software crash of this fine never quality tested game is ridiculous. Other games like Hunt:Showdown have a procedure to detect a disconnect by a software crash and not "punish" their paying customer.

Anyone who thinks that punishing should take place in an online game for whatever reason should go and visit a psychiatrist.

getting hit from 5-10 meters away is fine. ok 😂

Same goes true for getting hit after a vault through the window of a house in the first floor and you are already on the ground. At ping sub 50 that is.

  • Playing killer has become dead brain easy with the last couple of patches. Vastly empty map sections and you can even see from almost across the entire map if a gen is sparking and thus being done.

Added come the insertion of doors and entries to almost all walls and blocking off entire buildings except one exit by the window blocking RNG decisions and add in exit placement on adjacend walls with the hatch in between.

    Pure boredom.

  • All you do with mirror myers is to document how unskilled you are, needing an almost full map wallhack build to win.

I find it super boring to go against a killer who can see me all of the time through all of the walls.

    Yawn.

  • Absolutely. At least 2/3 of my games are killer "players" who have nothing better to offer in terms of strategy but camping and tunneling the first survivor they can catch and hook. You wait 5-10 minutes for a game and get 1-3 minutes of gameplay of which most is tapping space in order to fight through the second struggle phase on your first hook.

Killers camping hooked survivors do not exactly follow the story behind "feeding the entity with the fear of the survivors" if they never pull the thumb out of the hooked survivors rectum. They should gain no more than 50 points out of such a kill.

  • Absolutely. In the years I have been playing this it became clear that there is no such thing as an internal quality control. Some bugs popping up in the first minute of the game after a new patch impressively documented that the developers can not have played even just ONE round of their own game prior to releasing it.

  • With the number of documented bugs they can not have played even ONE single test round themselves. Pretty good job. If I worked this way I'd long be fired.

  • @Dennis_van_eijk said:

Oh no what am I going to do now?

I don't have a ######### load of pallets anymore and can't mindlessly throw pallets down everytime.

This is so terrible that they made the map more balanced now, cause we don't want that.

We want to be in control and bully the killer all game and letting know how trash they are while we are gods, even though the map was so broken.

But we're not saying that 😂😂😂

You consider map generations like this one "balanced" ?

Not a single obstacle to hide from the killer, not a single pallet, wall or anything. This is about 20 % of the map, to the back it looks identical.

    20201203132726_1.jpg

  • Nothing beats a NOED that does not get active because all dull totems were cleared before. It also shifts the game towards a secondary goal so I think the game is fine just like that. What I don't think is actually balanced is the fact that it activates fully already on tier 1. That used to be different

  • The way they have acted in the past Bloodlust will probably become a hex perk that will show the auras of all survivors for 10 s wherever they are on the map whenever a pallet is dropped or destroyed....

  • Remove all windows, remove all pallets, open up even the last single loopable jungle gym. This will be so much fun and finally the game that killer players will complain about only 98 % of the time.

Since it came out it has been patched to ridiculously easy mode for killers with every patch a bit more.

Pallets/Walls/Windows for survivors to have a means to get a killer off their back ? Lets bring out the nurse to who all this has no deeper meaning. This is how it started.

Today we have a game where not a single wall does NOT have a passable section for the killer, plenty of wallhack perks and add-ons so killers can see survivors even behind cover etc. etc. etc.

When I play killer it takes a very well coordinated SWF group to beat me. Everything else is 3-4 k without even anything that resembles some effort.

  • When in the several years of history has this company ever been known for their fine-tuning of the game ? It has with every single patch always been a matter of hitting the whole concept with a sledge hammer until it is no longer recognizable at all.

    It will continue likle this.
