Yeah, the devs have some weird complex or obligation that makes them punish bad behavior instead of rewarding good behavior. In general.

And instead of devoting ressources on game improvement they devote ressources for a sort of Game Gestapo that punishes people with EULA regulations invented AFTER the legitimate game purchase. Like you buy a sports car and after a year the dealer tells you you must not drive faster than 20 mph becuase otherwise they take away your car

It's not up to your opponent to make your game "fun".

Au contraire, mon ami. It absolutely is. Most people just play for fun and if the killer player denies the other side their part completey, what point is there in finishing a round ?

Try entering a bar and asking 4 strangers for a round of pool billard. Never hand them the queue or the white ball. If you are lucky, they will just walk away. If not you might need a good dentist.

  • In a game that relies on stealth and hiding for one side any perk whatsoever giving wallhack capabilities has no justification. My personal opinion.
    Get rid of or modify

    BBQ
    Nurses Calling
    Bitter murmur
    etc

Small game has been modified for survivors to give only an audio information about the direction of a trap, these perks should be modified accordingly.
Same goes for scratchmarks. With patch 1.4 and crystal clear 4k vision across almost the entire map these have completely lost their reason to be there in the game for me. Before 1.4 with the blurry old unreal engine they had a good cause and were justified. Either restore enough fopg or depth of vision to blur beyond a certain distance or remove this ultra crutch for killers completely.

  • If you have 27 minutes to spare doing an idiotic standoff like this then you should not come here complaining about it. You wanted it this way - you got it. You could easily have ended it by hitting once and letting her go but you decided to play along. No mercy whatsoever....

  • If bhvr would put all the ressources that now deal with bans and DC 'punishments' into game improvement making a DC unattractive gamewise this would be much less of a problem. Nothing good ever has come out of punishment systems but a lot more out of rewarding people.

At the moment with nerf after nerf for 80 % of the player base (remember, 4/5th of a game is made of survivors) I am wondering where this game is headed if 80 % of players lose more than 50 % of the games vs. killers. Playing solo a lot I have a really hard time getting an escape these days and it's just annoying to be hardcore camped and tunneled 80 % of the games.

What is the point of staying in a game if the killer never leaves further than a body length from the hook ?

Noed is balanced? it rewards the killer for playing bad

    So is DS

If the maps were actually redesigned so that you can properly hide yourself I'd agree, unfortunately a lot of times for example Shelter Woods for me gets generated with vast areas of small rocks and thin trees - effectively a see-you-everywhere area for killers. Same goes for McMillian and all other old maps with boxes and piles of rubble not hiding you from the killers view at all since they can just see you over it.

The way more and more new killers with more 'wallhack' like aura seeing perks were introduced DS is no longer a matter of playing bad, it's just one of the few counters survivors have with all the pallet removals and windows nailed shut.

The game fails miserably to deliver what it actually was designed to be in a lot of places.

  • Besides of your suggestions I would like to see a radical change - remove ALL aura seeing perks and add ons, modify them to what small game has become - an audio notification that may be modified in frequency or duration or so but give me a break about a stealth requiring game with all the wallhack perks and add ons....

In every game that ends like this you have a chance to make a decision to take a boring hatch standoff with a chance for a hatch grab or not or just get that last hit and move on. It's your choice about your usage of time.

but its such injustice that we have to let them escape in the first place and they know it i swear i can hear the smug look on their face when they saunter up to me and start teabagging waiting for me to dc or hit them.

If you truly think like this about a situation in a computer game you should seek psychological counselling....

  • What interest can survivors have to remain in a boring game of constant camping and not just DC to move on to more interesting trials ?

  • And burning offerings as a survivor is kinda useless right now. First I did it hoping other would do plants for, but after I ran into four games without a single plant beeing done, I stopped. There are no bloodpoint I'm missing out. I would rather throw in party streamers or other stuff right now, which is more usefull.

It's called social skills - to let killer players have their side of the event as well. Most survivors dont seem to have any.

I thought geting killer vials is so easy, wasnt that what all survivors complained about?

Btw, the original plan was to have only 15 vials on each side, so consider your suggestion to be carried out already since you can gain 30 only on survivor now

Getting killer vials so easy ? Are you joking ? You get max 2 games per hour. Now most survivors don't even bother taking event offerings so you are stuck with the 3 hooks you get by default and your own offering which makes it 2 games per vial necessary....and then you even get tryhard teams who even try to bodyblock you out of your well deserved event hook....give me a break

  • 20 Minutes minimum per killer lobby and then enjoy a tryhard group of survivors looping and jumping the same places over and over again denying you any event hooks. Can't get more than 1 vial per hour waited in the lobby (and played 5-10 minutes per game)

  • Agree 100 %. As poorly thought out as map design, hitbox design and many other aspects regarding still occurring bugs and balance issues.

  • I really wanted to play this nicely as a killer, I even named my profile "EventFarming" but guess what happened.

Still tryhard looping window jumping pallet smashing flashlight blinding survivors.

Instant wiggling right away although it was clear my event hooks were on the other side of the map. Even following a survivor for half a minute NOT HITTING was no clue whatsoever that I wanted to farm the event vials as a killer.

I have gone back to tunneling and camping the guys now, this way I get at least a couple of hooks. Oh and don't forget, now it's rare to have more than my own offering in the game so its 30 mins wait to get maybe 3 event hooks, maybe not.

A job so excellently done, BHVR, I am lacking words for it.

The only thing we can aspire is to build a game that is as fair and fun as possible.

I wish all the resources now committed to keeping track of who DC's and all the denouncements and notifications and banning were actually committed to improving the game experience.

Nothing good has ever come from punishing people but a lot of good has come from rewarding.

Besides of that other than revoking licenses which I myself consider highly dubious in actually several jurisdictional points there were enough measures that could be taken to reduce the DC problematic like revoking perks or progress from offending players and granting full sacrifice and emblem points for a full sacrifice on a DC survivor.

Easy 10 min fix for every half decent programmer but BHVR fails or refuses to do so.

  • I do so too. Hard to believe that with 40+k people playing the game there could be an actual shortage of free survivor players

  • The post wasn't meant as an insult and did it ever occur to you that there actually ARE people on this planet to whom english is not their native language ? Genius yourself, focusing on spelling mistakes adding no valuable input to the actual problem.

  • Who in their right state of mind waits 10-30 minutes for a game to start ????????

For a game that then lasts 1/2 that time at best with a bunch of SWF toxic ultra looping players

  • Who with half a working brain actually waits 10-15 minutes for a computer game to start ???

I tried playing the event as killer the last two days but have to wait between 3-30 minutes for a lobby to fill.

Off to other games, my time is too valuable for that

    Here's what I learned:

    • Not everyone wants to farm. Some people want to play a normal game. React accordingly. I have literally run to and pointed at hooks for the killer to take me to for my first two hooks. And then they find me and down me for a third time and they kill me. Oh well. That's part of the game. If you are "nice" to someone there is absolutely nothing saying they have to be "nice" back. Everything is on a case by case basis. I've had rivalries with killers in the past and then we meet up during a match where everyone plays BPS and we agree to farm together.

Had a game like that yesterday. One guy being nice, not wiggling and letting me take him to his second hook across the map.

The other three toxic as they could be with looping across the entire amount of pallets and windows.

In the end I got them all. Guess who'm I carried to the hatch on my shoulder from the basement after they had farmed all the vial they needed.

Here's what I learned from this event: Survivors are OK with Killers helping them complete their side of the event, but they won't let Killers hook them in return.

That depends on who you talk to , I actually enjoy the event as a survivor

    That is exactly my experience.

I even named myself EventFarming for a couple of rounds and guess what I still got some tryhard players looping me forever and wasting my time, still wiggling like crazy when I finally got them and the event hooks were on the other side of the map.

  • More than 40k people playing the game and it takes ages to get a killer lobby filled. Survivors get instant lobbies. Either a majority is playing killers and competing over the same survivor player base all the time or the lobby system they implemented is as much a ridiculously bad joke as many other aspects of the game.
