I don't normally pay attention to it as I'm usually chasing someone else or just do quick glances around the hook to see if someone it coming or not.

If i have enough try for a kobe attempt while someone is coming for me why wouldnt i. kobing in there face is funny
Depends on who you ask. Some people don't care while others will leave you to die on the hook out of spite. I've seen quite a few forum posts debating about it before as well.
-
It depends really. If I enjoy going for them then I do even if they're hard. If it starts to be more of a bother then I stop. I never feel obligated to finish them but I like to do them as an extra challenge and a sort of, "Hey, I did it. Good job me." feeling when I look at it.

Boon: Skill Check
While in the range of the totem all good skills checks become great. %/%/% increased chance of skill checks.
Not that it'd be good but I'm honestly expecting this one to be a thing eventually. They already have perks that do it, so why not have a boon for it as well.
-
I think it should be tested at the very least to give it a chance. The perk feels almost useless in an actual match unless paired and even then it doesn't seem great, at least in my own experience.
I think it should work just as you pointed out. It'd be a very decent counter to boons and because there are 5 totems, chances are in a normal match survivors wouldn't even run out of totem spots before the match is over and the killer would still get some value.
I think it'd be a fantastic change.
-
1: It's a thank you, they're giving up their item to show gratitude. Some survivors will also do this as a mercy offering if the match has gone to hell.
2: Bad judgement call or nothing else to go to. No one is perfect when looping.
3: Yup. Survivors enjoy teabagging each other at the start of a match as a hello/hey there/how are ya. Some will also do it if someone blows up a generator or as a thank you for healing them or after a spicy play.
4: Some people just want to do gens a leave. Other times the killer isn't putting on pressure and there isn't much else to do. Not everyone cares about BP as well.

That sucks because there should be a bots mode that allows you to practice. As it is you have to get a kyf going, otherwise you'll be getting stomped repeatedly while you practice, which is fun for no one.
Very much agree. Maybe one day we'll get bots in KYF since they do have them as part of the tutorial. One can only hope.
-
Downloaded it since it was free
Decided to play a single killer match for fun
Waited over 10 minutes with crossplay on, likely due to new person MMR
Got bored so I went and played Immortals
I'm actually pretty happy about it though since now I can do a KYF with myself to test random stuff and I don't need to bug anyone to help. I can also try some killers like Nurse and Huntress and feel the differences out.

PS4
She plays fine for me and I quite like her so far.
-
Fix the unknown error that is unknown. I wouldn't actually waste a wish on this but god damn do I get that error more then I'd like.
Actual Wishes
-No more Perk Tiers
-All survivors have a shared inventory since they're basically just skins anyway
-Prestige doesn't get rid of add-ons/items, only Perks
I think there were other things I wanted more then those but they're ones that came to mind first.
Edit: Loadout slots would also be a big one. Don't know if I'd trade it for one of the other three though.
-
I haven't played her much yet but the free zoning she gets seems to be insane. Most loops you just put down a crow maybe two and then loop. If they leave you get a hit, if they stay you get a hit.
She also has some map knowledge being able to send crows at gens or just randomly around if they're hiding.
She feels like if Pyramid Head and Hag had a baby IMO. I don't think she's Nurse/Spirit/Blight level but I'd put her around Pyramid Head with first impressions.

Devotion 7 Level 97 and my buddy I normally play with is Devotion 8 Level 60 something

For those who haven't seen the other thread yet @luvcraft posted a video showing how to get up there a different way as killer. Seems a bit easier then the lunge method.

This. Where did mods say that? Because this looks like an exploit to me. That'd be like saying the glitched rock formations on Ormond or Yamaoka were legal because the killer could also get up there, and those got patched out soon after.
@VikingDragonXii said:
That's not true that IS a bannable offense because it's not easy to get up there and it is abusing a glitch to gain a advantage.
Here is the thread link.

Some people really want the 4k. All there is to it.

I'm all for the competition but it feels like people are overhyping VHS. I watched some gameplay and I don't really see the appeal outside of it being free to play but I hope that changes after giving it go. I never thought I'd enjoy DBD as much as I do so who knows.
Honestly though, I'm more excited for the DBZ game and Propnight.

It's 45 seconds now. And again, if you're getting hit with a DS at all, let alone multiple DS in a single trial, your are picking up a survivor within 45 seconds of them being unhooked before they've touched a gen, performed a healing action, or touched a totem. I guess if you really want to go for tunnels, slug one survivor instead of hooking, force a 1 for 1 at the hook if you can when you go back to it, and then you'll lose nothing when you eat the inevitable DS because you have two slugs. That's about as theoretical of a scenario as somehow eating lots of decisive strikes with any consistency.
Maybe I missed something but when did it become 45 seconds? In game the perk says 60 seconds or is that an upcoming change from the PTB?
-
Even if it was entirely because of VHS, wouldn't you as a company want to take as many people away from your competition? Try and kill any potential competitors while small so you can stay on top. Seems standard, like something any company would do. Hell, I'd probably run a bloodhunt on the actual release day as well.

You didn't mention that EW tier III gives you a largest lunge compared to EW I and II.
I forgot about that actually, thanks. I have updated my post.
-
-No longer have to stalk or worry about 99'ing.
-Instadowns for the rest of the match. This tends to get people to throw pallets quicker as well.
-Faster vaulting for the rest of the match
-Easier to patrol or camp hooks.
-Not many other choices for good add-ons. Stalking, duration, mirrors, and tombstone. Mirrors are for memes while tombstone is hit or miss. Faster stalking is the best, while stalking effects like aura or speed are almost worthless. Tuft of hair is the most potent of the duration add-ons. I'd argue hair bow would be more useful against good teams though.
-Matches well with certain perks like infectious/distressing.
-You also get a longer lunge for the rest of the match compared to t1 and t2. This lunge is also longer than than the standard killer lunge.

The virtue signalling part is when people claim to dislike NFTs for environmental reasons (for example) and claim to quit the game. Only to carry on playing.
Out of curiosity are you saying everyone who claimed to quit the game because NFT's is full of it or are you saying no one at all has a problem with NFT's because they're still playing the game?
The first one I at least understand because people do do that, the 2nd one though makes a lot less sense since people can still support or even ignore something they have issues with. In fact I'd argue that's pretty common.
-
From the ones I can remember I'd say Oni's Iridescent Family Crest
It's one of the most useless Iri's in the game for anyone that's played Oni more then once.
-
1600 all on PS4
I've probably got close to 60-40 split of survivor to killer if I had to guess.
-
I haven't seen it in a real long time but I enjoyed when the trees and I think rocks could spawn outside the exit gates. It was pretty funny.
First time I've seen it in a house like this, quite amusing.
-
I thought you could only heal teammates with a medkit. Had a lot of people follow me around t-bagging/emoting and never understood why.
-
As long as you have a token, any failed skill check on the map turns into a good skill check. Doesn't work with DS and such. You get a token every 2 maybe 3 greats instead of 1.
Still wouldn't be great but it could be used as a team-wide correction.
-
I'm also led to believe her first name in Min due not only to the Adept Min thing but according to this thread talking about the same thing, a person brought up this picture.
Seems like they were trying to go for the last name-first name for her but switched later on. It can be assumed they did the same for Feng. I did some minor looking on the forum but couldn't find any devs/mods confirming or denying how her name went.

PS4
Can confirm the bug is still present. I downed a guy with the chainsaw and he dc'd right after and from that point it would longer charge. I was stunned right before the dc down but I was still able to do a single chainsaw to down him.
-
For sure. There is a pretty big difference in games when they turn off the penalties, you have people dc'ing just because they don't like the killer or they were found first. When it's off you get a dc almost every game for reasons like that.
-
I don't mind when someone plays normally after a early DC, but I don't understand the people that go the extra mile with slugging, camping, and tunneling as if they're facing some swat squad or they only have one hook with 1 gen left.
They're more then welcome to play how they want of course, I just don't understand going that hard against randoms when you've already won. Just seems like overkill to me but to each their own.
-
- No idea.
- Server Desync most likely. I have it happen to me every now and then. Down a survivor, it doesn't show them moving and then all of a sudden they teleport a bit since they were crawling the entire time.
- Validated Hits.
-
I got 600k. That was nice little treat. :)

Shards are based on player level. Here's a link showing the table of shards you get depending on level.
-
Probably Oni. If memory serves the only issue he had was the locker destroying your power which was fixed pretty quick. He was fairly well loved back then and to this day.
Blight's concept was also loved a lot but I remember a lot of people complaining about hitbox issues with him. People still do but he certainly is loved and a big success no doubt.
I think Demo was fairly liked as well if I recall. A lot of people hate(d) the map though.

No problem. I wish you the best of luck!

Damn, congratulations! I'm working my way up the chain, but I still have Evil Incarnate and Left For Dead in the way, and those two are pretty daunting. I almost got Left For Dead a few times, but always died before the gate got opened.
I'm also absolutely horrible with Huntress, and I can barely hit a survivor right in front of me, much less with a trick shot from afar. Luckily I managed to farm the bulk of that achievement during the anniversary event, when every other game was a cake-fuelled bloodpoint party. The hardest part was getting survivors to stop following me - most didn't seem to get the hint that I wanted to nail them from far away, but a select few did and I'd be able to get 3 or 4 of the counter out of the way. (I wasn't that great at guesstimating 24 meters.) I also got a few on survivors that were waiting for me to hit them out of the gate.
But I only had to do 20 of those - I can scarcely imagine the sheer tedium of landing 100. Oof.
I actually never had much problem with Evil Incarnate myself and I've managed to do it 4-5 times with a few games where I let the last survivor(s) get the gate. It's almost certainly just me getting lucky and having friendly survivors but a lot of the time when I'd get a good run of 3 dead, the last survivor would just run up to me instead of hopping in a locker. I even had some games where the last 2 ran up to me nodding. I wish you luck on that one as well as Left For Dead. That's a doozy for sure.
Yeah, 100 downs was just overkill. If I had to guess, I'd say around 30 of them came from gates, 40 or so from farming groups and another 25 from AFK people. I probably only got like 5 legit downs from 24 meters. I got a few groups that would just sit in the gates, letting me down them over and over as they healed which was pretty nice. I also had two games where a person was AFK all game and I just kept downing them and walking away which let me get quite a few downs. So happy it's done.

How did you get the one that you have to finish the last gen as the last survivor and escape through the gate? It's one of the few I'm missing, and the hardest.
I got very lucky and had a Billy let me live after killing the other three. Instead of taking the hatch, I ran to the last gen and started working on it. He let me finish it and walk through that gate, praise be to that Billy.
If that hadn't happened I was planning on saving it for last and I was going to do it with a friend of mine, maybe see about getting a full group to help. We were going to play normally until we got some instance of us being the last two, and then he'd purposely die after we 99'd a gen. Then it'd just be hoping to get lucky on a door.
If you can get a full squad you can do the same, have the three of them die when one gen is left and 99'd. It's basically luck though with the door play even if you get the gen done.
As a solo player it's probably one of the hardest trophies to get along with the 4 man hatch escape. If you can get a full 4-man group helping you though it's really only about getting lucky with the door.
I wish I had better advice but outside of a group helping it's all luck and hoping the stars align.

Otz: I like his personality and videos.
Scott: I basically use him as a news source. He usually talks about what's going on atm or what has people jimmies rustled so it lets me keep up to date if I happen to miss something. I also like his gamer videos now and then.
Zubat: I enjoy his stoic personality and dry humor.
I used to watch other people as well but just kind of fell out of love, Umbra and Monto being two of the most recent. Nothing wrong with either of them, just kind of lost interest.

The heads that move on Sanctum of Wrath. I always thought they were pretty cool.
I've heard people mention the Devs saying there was another hidden Easter Egg on that map that no one has found but I don't know how true that is.
-
They used to be a bit more open about what they planned do and people still complained, like with the Early Game Warmup for example.
It's very much a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario for them and they chose don't, that way people don't get their hopes up for something that might never come or get upset that they had planned a certain bugfix by this patch but a problem came up and now it got postponed till next.
I also wish they we're a little more transparent in their doings but I understand where they're coming from to a degree.

I said that I hope whoever is reading it has a good day. I'd like to hope I made someone smile.

I don't take the game all that serious and normally do my best to have fun so when I get destroyed by a better player(s) it doesn't bother me most of the time. I'd get annoyed more when I make overly dumb mistakes or my teammates do overly dumb plays and even then I've gotten a lot better then when I first started playing. I tend to just laugh at all the dumb things I do or see other people do nowadays.
When I play my goal isn't to get better at a role, be the best, or even be average, I just play how I feel like playing in the moment. Sometimes, that's meme-y sometimes serious and no matter the outcome I'm normally fine with it.
Even in the moments where I get annoyed for one reason or another it's not something I try to focus on. It'll annoy me for a few minutes or so and then after that I let it go and move on. For me it's about as bad as stubbing your toe, kind of pissed and then couldn't care less after.
-
Pleasantly surprised. I've been subscribed to him a while and I never thought DBD would be a game they'd cover. I'd love to see a part 2.
-
"You people" I get though it depends on context, "this one" being less bad but maybe needing context.
In what world though is "McDonald Wifi" a racial thing? I've only ever heard that used as a way to describe someone with really awful internet. Even googling it I only get a few articles about some dude who worked there who said a bad word.
I'd really like a deeper explanation on that one.

You may already know but DS counts towards it making it fairly easy to do if you can get the killer to eat it.
