No, matchmaking hasn't changed yet. Yes, it's extremely annoying. I got booted from rank 7 to rank 13 with the rank reset bug. Now I'm playing rank 4-8 survivors, which is who I SHOULD be playing. Having a lot more fun.

Dead By Buglight? Bug By Daylight? Bug Bug Bugbug? What should we call this hot mess these days?

Using dead hard and being exhausted but you’re smacked as you activate it.. I don’t mean the killer waited.. I mean you activated it but still get hit as you press it and dying state exhaustion pops up.

    Just server issues or what?

Yeah Dead Hard just doesn't work all the time. I don't think it ever was fixed, so it's not "again" that we're having issues. I don't think I've ever had a game where it works every time. I'm at the point where I'm like, it's okay, the killer will just be surprised next time assuming it actually works.

Yeah killers cry that nobody cares about their fun but when given the chance they slug after disconnects and they hard tunnel. They dont care about anyone else, why should anyone care about their fun?

There's nothing that survivor's can do that make the game unplayable for killers. After waiting at least five minutes for a game, killers can face camp, slug, and tunnel. Unless someone has BT or you're in a SWF, the game is over for that person.

  • @Carpemortum said:

"They play something else for a bit".

Good. We dont want DC-ers here.

Those than suicides on hook, would have DCd, so it didnt make anything worse.

If anything, these rants make people look like they're upset that they cant DC without consequences anymore.

    🤷‍♀️

I would rather have a faster game with someone who might DC than have less people playing or survivors who are just going to suicide on the first hook. I've lost tons of BP from killers DCing too, and I didn't care. It made me laugh. I can still have fun in a game even if I'm less likely to win when a teammate DCs. And I did DC on occasion. Like the last three games a teammate DC'ed right off the bat? One was pissed because they were downed, the other two just left the game without even starting to play. And you know what the killer did? They slugged at five gens when we were down a person. So yeah, I'd DC from that crap just so I could get into a game and actually play. Imagine playing a game and wanting to play.

I personally wouldn't even try to do this challenge cause it's simply not fun and by itself is very dumb. But since I have to complete this one in order to be able to do the 2 challenges for Jane...yeah...I have to complete this one.

I'm in the same boat - I wasn't even going to try but we need to to unlock other challenges. It's ruining the game, again, because everyone is playing differently just to get it done. Though maybe it's helping killers, so I guess I should go do those challenges.

  • @OtakuBurrito said:

All night I have been trying to do gens only to get barely enough done, 1 person dead, and 2 people escape through hatch while I'm mid chase with a killer.

It's stupid and toxic asf. I have seen games where people sit in a locker, form crows, and escape. Seriously whose bright idea was this?

But this think the best part is all the killers bringing Franklin's demise, knocking ######### out of our hands (go ahead idc about my ######### brown med kits I bring them for my team anyway) and then survivors just finding keys, refusing to do gens, and leaving.

And people have to do this twice. More killers are playing, oni, crack billy, and bubba than I've seen in my life. Plague is hot asf now because she can puke on you twice and make you broken.

I have had almost every killer tonight get pissed for me and yell at my so called teammates for just leaving after afking or not doing gens or not getting chased.

Please devs, I'm begging you, this hatch crap has to go. And while I understand you don't have to do it to complete a tome, you do have to if you'd like to know more about Jane's story or if you want to 100% everything.

It's a nightmare as a survivor who just wants to play the game. I had four games yesterday where people just hid in the locker the entire time. Today I haven't had anyone go to a locker straight away, but they just aren't playing. They aren't doing gens at all. It's miserable.

This has got to be the most petty complaint I have ever seen on this forum.

You are actually complaining a challenge encourages your teammates to gen rush?

You only do 1 gen a game? You must be getting massacred.

Yes, as an adult with a job and a life, I can see how it's petty to ask if other people are progressing as slowly as I am. I used to like this game a whole bunch. I have more than 1,000 hours in it. These challenges have made it so you can either spend 3 hours doing a single challenge if you play normally, or you can play like a moron for the sake of challenges and screw your team, which is what most people have been doing.

It seems like you only get credit for this challenge if you're there when the gen is completed, at least that's how it's been for me. I am good at the game, so I don't spend the entire time urban evading as a Blendette and hiding the second my Spine Chill goes off.

Am I getting massacred? Apart from the killers who facecamp every single person they down, my random teammates and I have been doing pretty well. I make saves, heal teammates when they let me, do totems, search chests, and am pretty good at chase too, so my teammates are the ones doing gens while I keep the killer busy in most games. That's why this is taking me so long.

I didn't complain about or even mention my teammates, but feel free to call me petty some more when I was asking a genuinely question about the progress other people are making on this challenge.

  • @Fibijean said:

If I did well in a game, I was able to get 2 or even sometimes 3 per game for that challenge. Remember to do generators solo, if you can - I'm pretty sure that co-op generators will only count for half as far as that challenge is concerned.

I just got four done in one game where the killer facecamped the first person he downed, WHICH IS CRAZY BECAUSE NO ONE EVER DOES THAT IT'S SO SO SO SUPER RARE IN THIS GAME. And then I got facecamped and died on my first hook too. Something seems off about that but who knows.

  • @Skelemania said:

Just equip the quest & then play normally. Stop thinking about it so much. You don't have to do them as fast as possible, you do them naturally just from playing. Don't try to do three to four a game - just play like you normally do & you'll finish it just from playing normal games.

I have been playing normally, thats why I'm only getting one a game. This is the problem with the challenges - you play normally and it takes 3 hours to do a single challenge, or you play for the sole purpose of getting the challenges done and the entire team suffers for it, which is what most people are doing.

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

I've simply been using gen rush builds to get 2 or 3 a game

I just switched out a perk but holy crap, this is absurd. I hate that these challenges ruin the game.

    @bigbeefynacho said:

I can get 2 to 3 a game usually solo (depending on the skill level of the survivors I'm playing with). Run spine chill and kindred to give you intel on the killer's location. Essentially you will need to be the gen jockey and forgo saves unless they are absolutely necessary.

I play solo and yeah, three games straight, only one gen. Is it just being there when it's completed or total progress? I have a hard time believing I'm doing only one total. But I have been playing normally where I touch totems and make saves and I'm pretty decent at being chased.

  • @GamingHulk123 said:

This is starting to become more of a problem. I chased a survivor for 30 seconds and got 1 hit, but 3 gens get completed. Everyone keeps blaming the maps, but even if you did fix the maps, you will still have to chase 1 survivor at a time. By time you down that survivor, 3 gens can still be done. We need more time to build pressure, can you add a slow down mechanic, or new types of skill checks. Anything to slow down the gen speeds. I would get teased for "Not being a good killer" when I don't even get a hook before all the gens are complete. Could you please do something about this MAJOR problem.

Is it even possible for someone to do a solo gen in 30 seconds? Not being snarky, genuine question. Or I guess it's possible that they were working on gens while you were looking for a survivor, and then during your 30 second chase, they were able to finish their gens?

I had a game today on Springwood. Purely by bad luck, the killer came straight to me at the start of the game. I didn't run, I didn't disturb any crows, I had no time to even spot a gen in the distance before the killer was on me. I saved the game and watched it back. I ran the killer for 2 minutes and 45 seconds before he hooked me that first time. You know how many gens got done? One.

  • You're probably seeing a lot of keys because there's a challenge. And yeah, the key hasn't been changed but don't forget the insta heal was nerfed to the point of it no longer being used. Ebony moris are still going strong and are the farthest thing from "ultra rare." Why should insta heals and keys be nerfed but not ebony moris? Or would that be fair to you?

EGC was a huge change that favors the killer.

I rarely see anyone bring in a key at all, much less actually use it to escape. More than anything, I see survivors get lucky and find a key, stop playing, and let their teammates die on their first hook so they can get hatch. The other day I found a key and showed my teammate. He let me die on my first hook and then took the key.

I just prestige my Jane and got her back to level 50. Guess how many keys I have. One purple, one pink. I really don't think survivors care about keys nearly as much as you think we do. Why would you get so tilted by a 4 man SWF that brings a key? If it's so unfair, why let it bother you? Why not just play the game and have fun? No one can control how you feel but you.

  • @Gamingwalrus51 said:

The amount of people crying about penalties because they left a match 5 seconds after getting downed.

    Git Gud.

Yeah just seeing tons of people die on first hook now. I don't blame them - almost every killer is either face camping or tunneling with no shame.

  • @Slamadam said:

Who on earth thought this was a good idea? holy christ the game is gonna be so freaking unplayable when everyone is on that challenge

The only perk that counters it is a 1 time use.

Also interesting how killers always say "just genrush" and "bring unbreakable" yet they spend their entire time on this forum asking for genrush to be addressed and for unbreakable to be nerfed.

You can't have it both ways.

I love when killers complain about the "gen rush." It's how we win the game - doing gens. If you want cooperative gameplay, play survivor.

  • @beardedninja said:

I'm 100 percent tired of people complaining about slugging. There are perks that allow you to counter and on top of that if your non stop being downed every single game you need to learn how to loop better. I play both sides equally. I promise you survivors play more toxic then killers. Yes you will have some games where a killer camps. It's part of life. If survivors would gen rush while someone is being camped instead of crouching behind a box waiting for a miracle to happen then the killers would stop camping. They won't pip. They won't get bps

There's nothing survivors can do to take away a killer's chance to play. Slugging, camping, and tunneling all do that to survivors who are already in longer queues, and with the DC penalty, will probably be even longer.

  • @EverflowingRiver said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1089405#Comment_1089405

How about the fact if a survivor DC I can't get hooks for emblems and I don't pip or depip. It also makes the remaining survivors play stupid.

UWU what about all the BP I've lost from killers DCing when we power the gates? People are still going to DC. If they don't want the timeout, they'll die on the first hook. I can't imagine that's great for your pipping. And if they DC and get the timeout, some will go play other games. I know my survivor queue is long enough without people quitting the game

  • @Talmeer said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/129440/sarcastic-thanks-for-the-dc-penalty

Well... You can always play killer if you think that the gras is greener on our side.

After my experience it is not.

I have play today my first game after a long while and I had direct a team infront of me that pressed hard on gens with 1 toolbox and 2 flashlights (1 has go in with flashlight, 1x found it in a box inclusive the famous instant flashlight bug - yaaay :|).

Did you think that game was fun for me?

I could nearly do 1 chase, because I needed always to damage the gens first by the speed they were repairing with.

I can understand killers who just slug to take a bit the speed out of the game.

Currently can the game for both sides terrible. Say thanks to all the nerf crying kids for that, that couldn't stop to complain about killer strength's and killer/survivors perks.

I do play some killer, though I'm a survivor main. There's nothing survivors can do that take away your ability to play the game, even if they are "gen rushing" or even just plain better than you. However, when killers facecamp and slug and tunnel, that survivor's game is over. Plain and simple. The fact that that crappy play is happening even more now that the ban is in place really says something.

  • @FogLurker said:

Sounds like all these survivors just need to switch to instant queue killer side and follow every rule in the survivor rulebook.

I knew there would be some BS comment like this. Hey, guess what! People play games to play games. When a killer slugs, and tunnels, and facecamps, that person isn't playing the game. Pressing x or spacebar while you're facecamped is not playing the game. Bleeding out for four minutes with five gens to go isn't playing the game. There's literally nothing survivors can do that take away the ability for killers to actually play the game, so quit it with that survivor rulebook bs. And when I do play killer? I don't play like a scumbag because I know how ######### it is.

  • @Pulsar said:

People who are upset about this change are usually the people who abused the old system.

They need to fix the crashes, but other than that I am enjoying the system.

I didn't care when my teammates DC'ed. It's possible for me to have fun playing a game even if I don't get a win. What's not fun? Slugging, facecamping, and tunneling, which is happening even more now with this system. Yes, I have DC'ed before. I have more than 1000 hours in this game. I bet a whole lot of people who have played this game have DCed on occasion. "Abused the system"? No. It takes long enough to get survivor games, I don't care if my teammate has DC'ed before. And I didn't really care when killers DC'ed even though I lost BP.

  • Fourth game: facecamping Myers. It's been slugging, tunneling, and face camping in every single game with this penalty now. I guess all I can do now is run every gen rush perk available with toolboxes because the first hook is game over for whoever that unlucky person is. Congrats, Behaviour. 1000+ hours in this game and I'm done when the tome is complete, but dogshit killers are thriving.

  • @IcallBS said:

I totally agree! Night before last i was playing in a full party with friends. 1st game, I get hooked by a hiding bubba with insidious. He facecamps and shakes his head no to any survivor who sees he is camping. Game ends of course with a 4k for bubba...2nd game ghostface stalk camping the hook...lol 3rd wraith invisible FC. 4th perimeter camping doctor. Walked enough away but only far enough shock can still reach to hook. Tunnels....good times. Slugs even better! After 4 trash games...my friends say they hate this game thats the same crap all the time. Annnnd they all go play another game. Long lobbies, toxic killers, hitboxes sooo bad and pallet and unhook lag. = not worth it to anyone who enjoys a good game. I and at least half of my dbd friends have been playing other multiplayer games. Kinda nice to get away from the bullshiz. So anyways good job ensuring toxic killers get those oh so deserved points and ruining the game. Now the camping is worse. Like literally every game cause they know we cant dc without penalties. Smh. First end game for killers now this. Also exit gates sooo close...its endless the dumb crap that is wrong with this game. Have fun dbd and those who will eventually do as so many are now. Leaving behind a toxic game because nothing is being done about a complaint thats been complained about for yeeeeeaaars! After tome is over, so is my desire to play this game.

Yeah I'm going to try to struggle through this tome but I don't know if I'll make it. All my friends have quit playing long ago and I'm not far behind. I agree with all that you said - same stuff, nothing changes. Survivors already had a penalty for playing survivor at all with the queue times, this is just absurd. All it's going to do is promote even more toxic play and drive away people.

  • @EverflowingRiver said:

This is what happens when survivors DCed at everything they didn't like. It sucks but decisions have consequences.

Oh please. Like killers didn't dc too. And I didn't even care when other teammates dc'ed as a survivor. It happens in every game and always will. What do you care as a killer if a survivor dcs? You lose one of your BBQ stacks? Must be tough to only get a 75% bonus every single game.

  • @Divinitye9 said:

I don’t see it as totally catastrophic. Yes, some can be annoying, but some play in my favor as a killer. Sometimes gens don’t get done as quickly due to challenges, which just helps me.

On the flip side, though... that damn hook breaking challenge.

Yeah it seems to me like some of the challenges help the killers a lot, to be honest. I didn't even realize there was a hook breaking challenge but that explains a lot of my teammates tonight and why so much time was going by with no gens getting done. I should have known.

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1073011#Comment_1073011

That's not holding the game hostage. You are going to die on hook. Holding the game hostage would be preventing the game from progressing. Camping and tunneling don't do that.

Imagine being a survivor main who has to wait 10 minutes for a game only to get face camped by a Bubba or Billy over and over again. Don't act like being face camped on your first hook with five gens to go is fun gameplay. You know it's not. There's literally nothing survivors can do that end the game for killers like that, and it happens all the time.

As far as Franklins goes...I already explained earlier in this post why they're ineffective for countering toolboxes. I'll just copy and paste that real quick...

The problem with Franklins is the only toolbox its countering is the one not being used. The other toolboxes are still gonna pump out gens faster until its their turn to be chased, and things like BNPs are going to get their values worth before you ever start a chase with the person holding it.

Franklins is decent at countering medkits, since often times you can chip enough charges off it of to deny a full heal or cause the person to be unable to use the instaheal it has for the 2nd half of the chase. Its also decent at countering flashlights since those are something that is going to be used midchase, meaning no blinding at pallets after you smack it out of their hand. Against toolboxes and keys though...Franklins doesnt do much.

As far as rarity of toolboxes goes, its pretty hard to gauge that since they can be used for multiple trials and even found in chests IN the trial. If you can use the same toolbox for 5 trials, can you really compare that rarity against killer addons that are for 1 time uses? As far as slowdown perks go...generally a killer has to work toward building those up throughout the trial, as opposed to the instant boost gained from a toolbox. If you wanted to have a similar comparison to most killer slowdown perks, you could look towards the perk autodidact in that you have to work towards a powerful affect that you dont just get access to. The speed boost from autodidact can then be very similar in nature to the slowdown of something like dying light.

Just used Autodidact, as a matter of fact. What a coincidence. Imagine being able to do almost a whole ass gen with one skill check, oh man.

I'd argue that Franklin's can actually be pretty useful against toolboxes, but it requires effort and maybe even skill, unlike old Ruin. Survivors waste a lot of time looking for those toolboxes after they drop them. I sometimes bring in a brown toolbox just to try to bait out the Franklin's. There are also hook sabotaging challenges, don't forget. How dare survivors try to get bloodpoints! That's only for killers who have the chance to get double bp every game with BBQ.

What's your excuse for all the other perks that slow down gens since you think Franklin's doesn't work?

  • @hex_genrush said:

My point is that killer mistakes have immense repercussions compared to survivor mistakes that are minuscule compared to killer as you have 3 other teammates to rely on and having a easier objective, killer have plenty of 2nd chances but it depends on survivor mistakes and as I just mentioned survivor mistakes are nothing compared to killer mistakes...

Disagree that survivor mistakes are miniscule. There are games where one mistake single handedly gives killers a 4k, the killer just doesn't realize it. It's a big assumption that you can rely on even one of your teammates in most games.

Just because something exists, doesnt mean it should be used often.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/822/TERNKCSXSAMN.jpg

I personally try not to waste my BPs on moris, but still end up building up quite the collection of ones I'm forced to buy because the entity wont eat them. The amount of moris that go unused in general is actually pretty staggering, because they generally are just an unfair boost with no real downside. A stacked up toolbox pumping your repair speed up an additional 40%, plus a BNP with it is similarly...an unfair boost with no real downside. I place things like this in the same lot as things that are used by people who are after an unfair advantage rather than a fun game.

I cannot tell you the last time I saw someone use a BNP. And so many moris go unused because they're so god damn common. I get more ebony moris than I get certain green and purple add ons and items combined on the survivor side of things. And I just had a game where a killer tunneled and mori'd someone out of the game in about 60 seconds. No one brought a toolbox.

And there's always Franklin's, or any of the other dozen or so perks that slow down gens.

  • @johnmwarner said:

So tonight I managed to get all perks at rank 3 on all my killers and cap at 1 millions BPs. I have all perks on Meg and Steve so I don’t “need,” blood points anymore.

Yes I still want them, stockpile addons for killers and survivors of course, but I don’t NEED double blood points. This is the first time in a long time I feel able to actually run without BBQ and I’m looking forward to it.

I never ran Tremors because it almost duplicates BBQ but without bonus BP for example.

Anyone else feel like they only have 3 perk slots on killer because of BBQ?

As a survivor main I can tell you that 99.9% of the killers I go against use it. I think it's the best perk in the game on either side - why wouldn't killers run it all the time?

  • @OrangeJack said:

I think it hard counters a lot of the already weaker killers and is SWF exploitable but I've never used it myself so I can't really say too much about it. Thoughts?

I can't even tell you the last time I saw anyone use that perk but no, I don't think it should be removed. With the way killers like to tunnel in this game, it's a risky perk if you don't know how to use it and aren't good at being chased. And considering how often I see freaking Ghostface, the most boring and predictable killer in the game, it's nice to have a counter to that hot pile of garbage.

  • I personally think Ruin was way too strong for newer survivors and pretty useless against good ones, and it was probably very different on console vs pc. I can count on one had the amount of games where Ruin was active the entire game and everyone made it out, and I have more than 1,000 hours in this game on console. As a survivor main who always runs Small Game, Ruin was useless against me. So was NOED. It actually might make NOED stronger now since people are even less likely to cleanse all the totems.

  • @ProfessorDunwich said:

It is ridiculous people still bring toolboxes with the absurd speed of gens. Guess you want to be dodged.

Please, killers dodge if they don't like certain cosmetics. I personally don't bring toolboxes but I don't blame people who do, considering the point of the game is to complete gens and escape, and you know, they exist in the game.

  • Who cares? Genuinely, who freaking care what strangers are saying in post-game chat? Only you can decide if you want to read it and be effected by it.

  • How are you getting this match making in SWF? My friends are 15-17 and I'm a red/purple and we always only ever get a red/purple killer, to the point that none of my friends play anymore.

  • @Laakeri said:

Your team mates or some killers playstyle?

For me its my fellow team mates and it has gotten much worse after Ruin nerf. Before you maybe had few survivors per day that didnt know how to lead killer in chase for more than 5 seconds, but now its in majority of rounds.

100% my teammates. I love when I get chased long enough for three gens to get done and only one gets done because the other two were injured so they stand behind a tree and hope everyone else wins the game for them. Or the last time I played, I died on my first hook in 10 out of 14 games because no one would get me. Sometimes there were people in those games who hadn't even been touched once the entire game, much less hooked.

  • I would remove Claudette cosmetics. Really. As a survivor, I'm so tired of being tunneled because I don't hide the entire game. And trying to learn killer? Jesus Christ, all anyone does is hide and urban evade with premonition or spine chill. It bores me to death and I play the game less because of it. Survivor queues take forever and then killer games are incredibly boring. She should literally always be in neon cosmetics, but I guess crappy survivors would have to actually learn how to play.

I've had multiple claiming it works properly on PC but it does not for me. I have seen others make the same statement regarding it not working on pc but I have also been told it works perfectly fine for others on pc.

If it works for PH's as well as SU's then it's not too much of an influence on the game play style since they cap at 100% (4 stacks). If PH's don't work then you will see multiple survivors swarming to a hook for the uinhook which I have seen over and over again. I know there are challenges for unhooks as well through Rift and I think maybe through daily's which absolutely changes the way the game gets played.

Even if it works properly on PC, it doesn't on PS4. I can't speak for Xbox. Call me old fashioned, but I feel like perks should work for everyone, regardless of platform.

Any tips for getting over the jitters of playing killer? I'm rank 10 at the moment (I know ranks dont really matter, but it's for the sake of info) and I feel like I have the hang of it, but I always get so nervous to play killer because I feel like I have the quality of the match in my hands.

If I do well, most people won't say or do anything rude, but I am sure most killer mains know what happens when you do poorly. Not saying that I expect people on the internet to be good sportsman or polite half the time. Just wondering how you killers seem to stay so calm and collected when dealing with a troublesome match or wily survivors? From my perspective as a survivor, most killers appear so confident. I may be one of the few survivors left that actually fears killers.

P.S. I have been a survivor main for about 800 hours of my playtime and really wanted to try killer finally. And, oh boy, do I respect you killer mains even more now. I have always been frightened to play killer.

Spirit/ Hag main if that makes a difference.

You do know a game is supposed to be fun, right? I'm a survivor main but I play some killer and I know I'm not good at it, and it's unlikely I'll get a 4k. That's never my goal. I'm playing to have fun, make smart plays, get better, and hopefully get some good BP. I am always amazed by killers on the forums who talk about how stressful the game is for them. Don't play if you're not having fun.

You have to admit it's kinda BS when you only have time to do four totems and die on your first hook because you were touched one time the entire game. It's a perk that rewards killers for being bad.

Red rank potatoes: There are tons of players in red ranks while they shouldnt becuz of SWF they dont learn the ropes just get carried so hard.Emblem system fault too..

Matchmaking:If there is a rank 2 and 3 lvl 20 you get a red rank so basically killer fun get ruined. I suppose those rank 2 doesnt get fun by being easy prey.

Gen rush and comms: No need to say that 2-3 gens done in 2 mins is not funny.

Tryharding/toxic play/camping/tunneling: All becuz of the gen rush it make killers play sweaty and dirty also as survivors doesnt have fun BHVR proceed with nerfs till one day game die cuz no one wanna be bullied.

Make casual and ranked play and you will see health of the game increased.

Yeah play with friends is fun but you killing the game. Where will be the fun when game is gone?

All my friends (seven people off the top of my head) quit playing because match making made it impossible for us to have any success in a SWF. I still play but not even close to the amount of time I used to. So if you want a lot less people playing this game, sure, remove SWF.

yes because we should make the most used survivor perk across the board....better

Can't tell you how many games I've lost as a survivor because my teammates won't stop healing. It is a garbage perk that helps the killer immensely.

I've given up on any hope that Matchmaking will be fixed.

It fixes for a short time and brakes again over and over and over. I guess the Devs don't want long ques but my god the games can be miserable when you put people with vastly different skill levels against eachother.

Just had a game with two level 9s and two level 20s with no perks against a level 16 Hag. Imagine how well that went. One person was farmed and tunneled out of the game in about 90 seconds.

While totem spawns are a problem, fixing it won't solve the overall problems with Hexes and Totems.

Instead, I'd like to know if the devs are or have considered placing more risk onto Survivors when cleansing a totem instead of placing all of the risk on the Killer when taking the perk.

Survivors take 0 risk when cleansing a totem and get 100% benefit by eliminating a killer perk.

Shouldn't survivors shoulder at least some of the risk of cleansing a totem further adding to the decision when finding a totem whether or not to cleanse it for fear of the consequences?

    Thoughts?

I wish there was a stat for how many times I've had some dogshit Ghostface creep up on me when I'm cleansing a dull totem. Or I've been cleansing a dull totem right at the start and decide to stick it, despite hearing the heartbeat, and gone down to a Bubba or Billy who body blocks me. There is risk, trust me.

And do you know how many times I've died on my first hook to NOED because I only had time to cleanse four dull totems and my teammates couldn't do even one? Or maps like the Game and Lerys where even with Small Game, perks are difficult to find?

Does anybody else think that balanced landing needs a buff? Let me explain, I was in a match with legion (red forest) and I jumped off the second story expecting to make some distance between us but no, Legion caught up to me too fast with his ability, and so okay I get this, he needs to be fast. A couple matches later i did balanced landing against a Michael and once again it didn't even help, probably only like 1 second worth of more time. Some of the killers are either too fast or balanced landing is too slow.

It's not going to work in every situation. I've used it at times just a little too late and they were able to get me as we both dropped out the window. Just try using it a little bit earlier than you'd like and you should be able to get the most out of it. At least for me, it's worked every time, unlike Dead Hard.

Idk. Doesn't sound too bad to me. Got to rank 13 and I'm going against 5-7's. Gen rushed all the time. Even when I was rank 17 I was going against 7-9's.

What this makes me think of is the Rogues from WoW. They complained so much that Blz ended up doing things for them. That seems to be what Survivors are in this game; they're the Rogues from WoW. So if the killers start complaining more, and maybe even protest, their voice will be heard.

Should survivors just not do the objective? I love the term "gen rush." It's literally how we win the game. I guess we really should take the killer's feelings into consideration.

  • Ghostface in DBD ruined Scream for me, not gonna lie.

I’m rank 1 and these red rank survivors still urban evading around with self care 😭😂😭

Never made it to one, but I've been as high as rank 3 and yeah I'm always shocked by how many people run self-care. But I don't die on my first hook without anyone trying to save me nearly as much as in green ranks. Holy crap, people are bad.

  • Here's a story of a Feng I just had. Rank 10, mind you.

I get downed because Bill blocked me at the pallet. Fine. Feng comes and saves me, and while I'm trying to remove my Pig trap, she decides to sabotage a hook. She fails the skill check, brings the Pig right back, and doesn't take a hit for me. I'm down again within 20 seconds of getting off the hook. Then she farms me a second time and I just die. She gets hatch. What a god.

Oh, Corrupt Intervention is being used in 70% of games now? Nerf it. Pop goes the weasel hinders survivors just a little bit? Destroy it. Noed is the new hex perk of choice because literally every other hex perk has a lot of risk and barely gets any traction after 30 seconds? Gut it.

Seriously, why play killer when survivors are much more relaxing and fun to play (AND you get to see your full outfit?) Why play killer when the very legitimate concerns are rather callously brushed off while it’s totally groovy that 4 people can bring multiple second chance perks, not to prevent tunneling, but to make the killer’s experience as miserable as they can?

    I just don’t get it.

If you think playing killer is stressful, like I've seen a few people say, stop playing the game. Games should be fun. The fact that you're worried about perks possibly being nerfed in the future is insane. If it's not fun, stop playing, and stop making drama where there is none.

Literally here sitting in lobby simulator for about average 20-30 min for a red rank survivor game and when I do get one after the long wait I get matched with rank 12s ######### is going on here BHVR? I can't even do any of the survivor challenges from the tome because of ridiculous queue times.

    Man y'all really ######### up.

Solo survivor is a nightmare with the tomes. It was last time and it is this time. I'm having way more fun doing the killer challenges. I went more than two hours without getting a save because I just set the challenge and played normally. All anyone did was saves. Now that it's done, I'm dying on first hook almost every single game. People who haven't even been hit the entire game won't make a save. It's baffling and ruining the game. Not sure if I'll get the next rift/tome/battlepass thingee.
