You can attack to break the chain on your own, as others have stated. But right now the chain isn't even durable enough to pull people in without any obstacles from max range. It definitely could use a bit of a buff, and would also solve the issue of survivors being invincible/memeing on Deathslinger on otherwise unsafe loops (like pallet next to a car, or the vehicle tracks outside ironworks)
I think he should be 115% speed, and have a more durable chain at base or be able to break pallets even while reeling.
No way, this guy can be built into a stealth killer and having a ranged stealth killer at 115% would be pretty OP.
From what ive seen, if you walk backwards while reeling them in, you suck them in at like twice the rate; and the guy I was watching was getting reel hits from pretty far distances using that method. There's also the add-on to make it take longer to break.

what i meant by stealthy was him not alerting survivors if he is within 48 meters like huntress, huntress actually has a 20 meter TR while he has a 24 meter TR. This wont let neither of them get a free hit like you say unless the survivors are just being idiotic and not paying attention, not to mention that there will rarely be any chance for you to hit a survivor at a gen at 24 meters since a lot of walls and objects tend to spawn around gens.
He is the same as any of the 24m killers, you slap on monitor and abuse to drop it down to 16m and that's getting very close to free hits range if you are using LOS blockers to approach gens. That's pretty strong for a killer that can combo you if you gets a surprise attack off.
You will have save the best, which I assume will be an S tier perk on him. So you run up to a gen with monitor, smack them with save the best, fast wipe the gun, and then finish them off with a hook into a down before they make any real distance.
Huntress can drop her terror radius all the way down to 12m, but since she is still humming all the time it doesn't matter too too much.
It's similar to spirit getting stupid fast downs after nailing you with her 16m terror radius but he will be a character I could actually stomach playing.

The only killer I'd say deserves 110% speed is Spirit and maybe huntress.
I don't think hag's or deathslinger's powers are that strong to justify 110%. Hillbilly's power is stronger than deathslinger and he's 115%.
Hag is insanely strong if played well. Luckily, you don't see many good hags. 3 gen hag is one of the easiest ways you can win in DBD in my opinion.

the only things he has over huntress is the ability to be more stealthy with his low TR and his power is a lot faster then huntress hatchets in every way, from the projectile speed to aiming, firing, and reloading. The main issue is simply that it does not always injure/down a survivor if you land a hit and it takes extra time harpooning and hitting a survivor than just landing a hatchet.
Stealth as an "only thing" is one of the best abilities in the game. Look at ghostface. I get countless free M1 hits with monitor and abuse hag, but usually have to rely on a trap to actually secure the down.
This guy gets the free M1 hit, and then has a finisher as well? He will be very strong if played well.

Yes, as an adult with a job and a life, I can see how it's petty to ask if other people are progressing as slowly as I am. I used to like this game a whole bunch. I have more than 1,000 hours in it. These challenges have made it so you can either spend 3 hours doing a single challenge if you play normally, or you can play like a moron for the sake of challenges and screw your team, which is what most people have been doing.
It seems like you only get credit for this challenge if you're there when the gen is completed, at least that's how it's been for me. I am good at the game, so I don't spend the entire time urban evading as a Blendette and hiding the second my Spine Chill goes off.
Am I getting massacred? Apart from the killers who facecamp every single person they down, my random teammates and I have been doing pretty well. I make saves, heal teammates when they let me, do totems, search chests, and am pretty good at chase too, so my teammates are the ones doing gens while I keep the killer busy in most games. That's why this is taking me so long.
I didn't complain about or even mention my teammates, but feel free to call me petty some more when I was asking a genuinely question about the progress other people are making on this challenge.
"Repair 12 gens" is literally "play the game for a bit".
The tomes are a side project, and you can complete a tome in 5 challenges total if you just rush for the end of it. Nothing says you need to do every single challenge.
If you are that desperate for some reskinned hag cosmetics, you could outright pay for it.
-
@Skelemania said:
Honestly, if they just change his walking speed, that alone would make him pretty good. Right now, he's so slow, he's pretty easy to loop. Like, he can't hookshot you through a rock. So you just run around a safe pallet all day & if he misses once, he then has to reload & it's a disaster.
I think it's going to be best to use the hook for a finisher instead of for regular hits. Doing it twice seems like it will take too long.
I'd play him as M1 with monitor and abuse, maybe with something like sloppy to encourage people to stay injured, and use the hook to finish off injured people trying to run for loops.
In my head it seems like he will be very strong with a hit and run generator pressure playstyle, especially because once you carve out some deadzones people will get murdered way harder than huntress because huntress is always humming so they will be on alert.
-
@Coder said:
You're talking about too specific situations. In general gameplay, he has 1 "hatchet", you must hit or else you'll have a reload cooldown giving the survivor a chance to make distance, you must have no obstacles between them to make it count as a hit (except for windows) where with huntress it counts as a hit immediately.
Huntress has 5 hatchets, almost no cooldown if you miss, almost no cooldown if you hit... she's got a little more map pressure sniping people across the map... You might be better off playing huntress, I think she's better than him in 98% of the situations.
How is putting on monitor and abuse a specific situation? A 16m terror radius alone will get you tons of free hits just because you can walk up to a gen and by the time they hear it you are right on top of them.
I am assuming he will have a pretty nasty of combo of getting the free-ish stealth hit, into a hook and down; especially if save the best for last is involved.
-
He also gets a legit 16m terror radius with monitor, unlike huntress who still has the humming.
He also has unlimited reloads and doesn't have to constantly be going to lockers.
I think he will end up being pretty strong, especially since we have not seen any of his add-ons yet. I am sure there will be ones to speed up the reload or maybe even get a 2nd shot or something.

I have been playing normally, thats why I'm only getting one a game. This is the problem with the challenges - you play normally and it takes 3 hours to do a single challenge, or you play for the sole purpose of getting the challenges done and the entire team suffers for it, which is what most people are doing.
This has got to be the most petty complaint I have ever seen on this forum.
You are actually complaining a challenge encourages your teammates to gen rush?
You only do 1 gen a game? You must be getting massacred.
-
Huntress can't pull someone off a haddonfield balcony ledge
-
I will play him with devour just for that mori. Love how he kicks them away like trash.
And he is constantly laughing while doing attacks? That's the reason clown is OP.
My only beef with him is the gun clips through the walls far too often for my tastes, the power looks pretty good and fun to use. I've seen videos of him pulling people off 2nd story ledges and it's hilarious.
-
I saw one in the last 3~ months of playing, and they got pretty much stomped because I was ghostface and they were all no mither.
They got a few sabbo saves off but everyone being a 1 shot to a stealth killer made for a very, very easy game.

So she can put on ruin and get the game reset while you are hiding from the red puke? Seems meta.

Is this sarcastic or are you really calling The Plague strong.
Yeah, downing people in a single M1 is pretty strong. It is unfortunate most of the killers on these forums can't land a single M1 hit and cry for buffs instead of getting better at the game.
-
Plague is already one of the strongest killers. You get almost perma tier 3 myers for just touching the survivors with the tiniest amount of puke, and can slap on thanta for an easy 16% slowdown on top of it. Or you just puke on generators and don't even have to see the survivors to get your perma tier 3.
Her red puke is ludicrously overpowered in the hands of a skilled player, and that's why nobody ever cleanses at the high ranks.
If you wanted to use her power, you could bring an apple, and those are readily available since they are both common and uncommon add-ons.
The fact they are going to be indirectly buffing wallhacks plague is hilarious, and shows they don't know how to balance a competitive game in the slightest.

If you camp people, you are getting significantly less hooks, and even less sacrifices if your team isn't a pepega sandwich and does gens then books it out the door instead of trying to be heroes. Camping only works because survivors are always trying to be heroes.
Yeah, cause in solo Q, when someone gets hooked across the map, you know to sit there and do gens while it's a camping ghostface / wraith / myers / etc.
By the time you even get over there, they are almost stage 2, and it's too late to go and do gens because the killer already won the game off it now being an effective 3v1.
Bad strategy though, clearly. People only complain about it nonstop because it doesn't work.

One could also argue that a killer not hooking anyone isn't doing much of anything. Doesn't take a full squad much time to clear out an area
And in the time they took to clear out an area, they probably could have done 2-3+ gens with those toolboxes and the game was halfway over.
Sabbo is a meme for trolling as a SWF, and it is almost utterly useless for solo Q. A flashlight save will get you just as much value, not waste any time other than you waiting around for someone to go down, and also helps you personally in a chase to boot.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
It's a SWF sabo nerf and a solo survivor sabo buff. Few things are more frustrating as a killer than a SWF clearing out hooks and running to the hook dead zone in every chase. There's little reasonable counterplay for a killer there aside from slugging until they use Unbreakable or get Adrenaline.
If they are sabboing, they are not doing gens. It really as simple as that.
If the dev's are nerfing sabbo that is laughable. The SWF could be bullying the killer a million other ways than wasting their time sabboing.

I know they weren’t solo queue because two of them were green ranks and and two were red ranks and they all kept swapping between survivors in the lobby. They were obviously an SWF group.
Most players in general aren’t that good. Only a few are really skilled at the game.
So what if Ghostface is an M1 killer? He’s stealthy and gives no warning he is coming. I hate instadown killers and stealth killers. I’m still not asking for a nerf and for him to be put in Clown tier like you want Spirit (and for some reason Freddy) to be gutted and nerfed.
Can Spirit use more counterplay? Of course. I’m still not going to diss and call out people who play a killer I dislike though.
You think there is a reason Freddy was the highest kill rate killer in the game before his slight nerf? And by that nerf I mean he can't just put on 2 add-ons and get huge generator pressure for free? Now it's only moderate generator pressure for free? It did nothing to stop him snare-lusting you at almost every tile in the game.
And if a SWF is bringing in 4 keys, they are a bad SWF, there's not much else to say about that. An optimal SWF build is 3 toolboxes and 1 key. Maybe a flashlight or two with object to distract/bully the killer.
The best SWFs I see don't even use items, because they don't need them.

Yeah because four keys are less powerful than a Spirit with green/yellow add-ons?
I rarely get DC’s when playing Spirit. In my own experience. People actually play the game and don’t whine and complain. In all my time playing Spirit I think I’ve had maybe ONE person mad that I played Spirit.
I understand that you dislike going going against Spirit, I really do. She’s unfun to face which is why I’ve stopped playing her as frequently (and because sounds are screwed up) but not all Spirit’s are good ya know. I escape a majority of the time when I face Spirit.
I can main AND play whoever I want because I bought the killer. So if I want to main Spirit then that’s my choice and you’re gonna have to deal with it. I hate Ghostface but I’m not gonna diss every Ghostface main because I dislike him.
Four keys is redundant. The survivors only need 1 to get the full effect. Four keys screams solo Q, in which case I really don't care what they bring in, because solo Q's can get beaten by literally any killer build in the game.
Ghostface is just an M1 killer at the end of the day. There is nothing else that compares to what spirit can do, except nurse, and most nurses are garbage. Most spirits are garbage as well. Most survivors are garbage. Does that mean spirit is balanced in the hands of a very skilled player, because most people can't play her to her full potential?
-

It was a QoL change so that people like you are whining and complaining anymore.
Spirit has little counterplay, yes. You really have to know how to go against her. If you pallet camp like a dummy then you’re going to eat her katana. If you run around like an idiot and give too many clues as to where you are then you’re eating a katana for dinner.
Spirit is strong and can end chases quickly but she simply doesn’t have enough map pressure AND chases ability to pressure gens and get downs quickly. She has to pick one or the other. Which is why you can still escape her. Gens will fly by if the team is coordinated.
I dunno what kind beef you have with me because I played Spirit but it’s a one-sided beef. I’m still gonna play whoever I want and I don’t need you telling me why I should and shouldn’t play a specific killer.
I don't care that you play spirit. I'm just saying you are a nub if you main her, and have absolutely no reason to be complaining about keys.
You can't run from her, or you put out scratch marks and get outplayed by her following them. Or you walk, and get outplayed by her hearing exactly where you are.
"You really have to know how to put on iron will / quick and quiet and vault a pallet" Ok. There's a reason rank 1 SWFs literally DC half the time when I play spirit. Because there is nothing they can do.
She doesn't need mobility for map pressure for the same reason old nurse doesn't need map pressure, your map pressure is murdering everyone in under 30 seconds.

People say she’s easy to play but I see so many low ranks struggle to pick up her up and play. You don’t see them struggle so hard with 115% killers.
Spirit isn’t just sound a lot of it is prediction. That’s why experienced survivors can juke a spirit quite a lot and if she misses her phase then she’s 110% until her power recharges.
She’s doesn’t require as much effort as Nurse or Huntress but I think a lot of the beef with Spirit is people just following what they read online.
If I play Spirit I see so many survivors that just crouch in front of the pallet. Like no ######### she’s going to get easy hits when you do that.
I see low rank killers struggling to pick up trapper and wraith. I see low rank survivors who camp the shack pallet. They should not even be mentioned for actual balance discussions.

Spirit was literally just nerfed so that her OP add-ons are balanced. She has a vaulting animation AND has no collision.
And sounds are broken so half the time I don’t even HEAR survivors even though I have on Stridor. But Spirit is still “easy” right.
Spirit is nowhere near as overpowered as she was. Is she strong? Yes. Overpowered? No. No killer is overpowered.
I see more Ghostface and Billy in red ranks that I do Spirit.
You’re just making yourself out to be a ass by assuming that every Spirit player plays her because she’s “easy” to you.
And they weren’t solo queue by the way. They were all in a group together.
And I never brought up Freddy. So again...stop assuming.
Oh my god. Spirit has a vaulting animation now? What a nerf!
She can't get even more free downs by just walking into you anymore? What a nerf!
Does it stop her from teleporting straight onto your head with 0 counterplay because you can just hear exactly where they are with stridor? Uhh no, not really.
Everyone plays spirit because she is easy. It's the same with Freddy, I put them into the same categories. I used to put nurse there but she is so nerfed that only the pro's can use her extremely well anymore. That's where I hope spirit ends up eventually.

How do you know you depipped the entire lobby? If you're doing that at red ranks, those survivors are boosted to all hell and shouldn't have been in red ranks to begin with; and yes, you can pip with an ivory mori at red ranks, if you 3 hook everyone else after, and keep your gatekeeper and chaser emblems high, which is a lot easier to do without using the mori. As for mori-ing 3 people - I'd like to see you record a game for me of you black pipping with 3 mori's in a game at rank 1. I'm genuinely curious how you managed to do what so many other established killers have such a hard time doing.
Since you do it all the time, it should be easy for you.
I know I depipped the lobby because that is what tombstone myers does, that's what he has done for years now. When you murder 2+ people and they have less than 5,000 points? I think they depipped. And the rest of the survivors? They get 0 altruism, and with nemesis + PWYF you can nail someone with the tombstone before 2 gens are even done, so the game is ending with 2-3 gens left, so I know they didn't get any lightbringer either. Then they are dead, so they didn't get unbroken or whatever the last one is.
You can do literally nothing against a 130% movespeed tombstone myers. That's how it has always been, and that's how it will be until the devs nerf it (if they ever do).
It's the same as how I know I depipped someone because I tunnel mori'd them off hook or 1 hooked them in the basement or whatever other cheesy builds you can do with killer that end with them getting like sub 2000 points if you execute it correctly.

Awww baby...did you get your ass handed to you by too many Spirit’s? It must suck to be bad.
I play on console. Spirit is literally the only killer who can compete with 4 keys/4 toolboxes. I didn’t even notice the keys until the saw the score board. They kept swapping between survivors in the lobby so I had no idea.
I played normally and without any powerful add-ons. If I DID know they had four keys then I would’ve put on spicier add-ons and a mori. Keys are completely broken.
If you can defend 4 keys and say that because I playing Spirit I don’t have a right to complain then you are delusional. Wake up. Keys are completely stupid. Only way to kinda counter them is by putting the BS on the killer side. Which is a mori.
By the way....four (good) toolboxes are more powerful than keys if they split up gens.
Yeah, she's the most played killer at red ranks because she is bad. You just put on stridor and collect your free downs because she is a bad killer.
I hardly play spirit because I like there being some challenge in my killer games. I'm sorry you need to crutch on overpowered killers, then have to complain about powerful survivor items. I bet you think Freddy is balanced too?
And keys are fine for solo Q survivors. Killers have soooo many crutches (like spirit) to call upon that I can hardly get mad when some people sneak keys in and hatch out.

They are powerful, and not good at the same time, yes. They have huge downsides.
If you run a key, you're likely to get tunneled and not even get to use it.
If you run a mori, you're severely penalized for using it in terms of emblem/objective.
Honestly, bud, just stop. Your obsession is starting to freak me out.
You can tunnel mori people with the Ivory at red ranks and still pip just fine, assuming the rest of the people don't suicide because of it. There is literally no downside.
You can tunnel mori 3 people and still black pip fine, easy 4k even at red ranks. Just use whispers so you always 4k.
I tombstone 2 people and black pip 4k all the time.
But it's a "severe" penalty to black pip while you depip the entire lobby and they get like 3-5k points each right?

There's no skill in using the majority of the perks in this game. What's your point?

I mean look at someone like myers.
He gets mori's literally every bloodweb for me.
Mori's are mori's, tombstone piece is a mori, judiths tombstone is a mori (albiet harder to use), and every black ward is a mori.
You can pretty much run them nonstop on him if you want and don't care about your rank.
But clearly, all the 3-4k's I get with him are just the survivors getting outplayed.

You could have done that anyway, after being mori'd. So...I repeat...by directly causing you to have to wait longer, how are you not wasting your own time?
Isn't the entire point of survivor to waste the killers time in a chase? Why is it okay to do that but not okay for the killer to respond in kind? One-sided much? lol
Because the game was lost before I even loaded into it, just because the killer decided to put on some overpowered items?
It's fine though, they are "ultra-rare" and only appear in every single bloodweb.
-

I mean, if you DC against someone using a mori because it's a "waste of your time"...isn't that kind of counter productive given that you're now wasting more of your time waiting for the penalty to end?
No, because I can go watch youtube or something while I wait for the DC penalty to be out. I don't usually DC to mori's, but honestly when you hit an iri head huntress with a mori, do you ever expect anything except a hatch game? If the huntress has the slightest amount of brain cells?
Tunnel mori is a massive waste of time for all the survivors, and I say that as a killer main who does it. You can't win if the killer is anywhere decent. Even an Ivory tunnel mori is a game-ender, cause you can off someone at 4-5 gens left and it's GGs. Ebony is just for BM.
Then you could even toss on the very balanced NOED and there's literally nothing the survivors could do even if they somehow, someway, managed to get the best map RNG of all time and run you for 4-5 gens (which doesn't happen to good killers btw) cause you just 1 shot whoever made it to the exit gate.
Balanced game BTW.
-
@xGodSendDeath said:
Then people shouldn't cry about the one second chance perk that killers have when survivors have a million
Killers have way more crutches than survivors. Entire killers are crutches (spirit, freddy, oni to an extent, nurse if you are good), tons of crutch add-ons like almost every ultra rare / tombstone / rusty shackles / etc etc, mori's are a crutch, crutch map offerings like hawkins and lerys. Then you got NOED and spirit fury + enduring for crutch perks.
Survivors have 2nd chance perks, all with a fair amount of counterplay, and....keys? And keys need people to be dead and many gens to be done to actually get the most out of them? As opposed to just tunnel mori'ing someone at 5 gens and instantly winning the game?
-
I don't blame people who DC to tunnel mori's, endless slugging, iri head huntress, etc etc.

there is plenty of time , trust me. do totems on your way to gens and after you finish one. and going off your point about not knowing how many are left, RUN A MAP OR DETECTIVES if NOED is that big of an issue for you then maybe you should.
It's not an issue at all at high ranks, because the good killers hardly use it. But the fact you would condemn your team to death because you are doing dull totems instead of gens when the killer has pop goes instead of NOED is the problem with it.

No perk at all is mandatory as survivor.
They are for solo Q. You can get away with perkless if your team is really good. But more often than not? They are going to make mistakes, and a really good killer will punish them with death unless you have the 2nd chance perks to make up for it. And their death is also your death unless you have a key.
-
@underlord99 said:

Also you're forgetting that you as a survivor has control over whether or not noed works. stop pumping out gens and take a minute to do bones. you even get points for it.
There is no time to go find and do bones on many of the maps. Especially preschool, lery's, and Hawkins etc where they are extremely well hidden and you would need dedicated totem finding perks or a map.
There is no way to ensure, as a solo Q, all 5 totems have been done. You would waste probably 2-3 gens worth of time finding them all, for ONE perk that may or may not exist.
Then you hit a red rank billy / spirit / nurse etc who are probably downing people in 30-40 seconds tops unless your team is filled with gods. The good thing in that situation, is that those players are good enough it is extremely unlikely they will be crutching on NOED.
How can you think that is fine for a stock perk to be that powerful?

you could also learn how and where totems spawn. they usually dont spawn on the same tiles
Also going back to your point about it being a crutch perk, couldnt the same be said about DS, unbreakable, and maybe even DH?
You literally have to be running BT and DS in solo Q if you want a good chance to win at the high ranks. All the sweaty killers are going to tunnel and camp when the games go south, and those are literally the only answer to it.
Otherwise, you can just watch your team die off after they get camped from 2nd hook to dead and there will be nothing you can do about it.
DS is the only thing that might save you from the basement, or getting farmed by your team, or just getting tunneled straight off the hook.
I feel compelled to run iron will as well, otherwise you are literally a free down to any competent spirit; and there's a ton of those at red ranks.
So that's 3 perks gone already. I like having an exhaustion perk so there's no room for crap like detectives hunch.
Maybe you can do left behind key and not care if everyone dies, but I don't like doing that often.
Chests I find worthless, if I want an item in a match I will bring it. Traps? I don't see trapper at high ranks ever.

Yes run a ton of garbage perks and items every game to counter ONE perk that might not even be in play? Makes a ton of sense.
NOED has got to be the biggest crutch that still exists in this game; outside of some of the downright broken add-ons, mori's, and spirit fury.
Keys? People have to be dead before you can even start using them. It's realistically only going to be a SWF that gets 3 men out at 1 gen left, and they still had to 4 gens and someone had to die.
Adrenaline only rewards you if you win, and even then it's only really going to be useful if you are actively being chased. So the overwhelming majority of the time, it's only going to be useful on a single player. Everyone else gets...a speed boost to the exit gate.
Meanwhile, you can get NOED every single game you lose. And it practically guarantees you can facecamp out a kill or two.
OP killers like Freddy / Spirit don't need 4 perks to 3-4k every game. But you can slap NOED on them and just collect your free kills on the offchance you fall asleep at the keyboard and the survivors actually make it to the endgame.

What you said doesn't justify it. Just because it happens elsewhere doesn't mean it is justified
There's plenty of times where teabagging is justified. I had a streamer with like 2000+ viewers smacking me on hook in the basement at the endgame because I ran him for too long and humiliated him in front of his viewers.
But some very brave soul saved me with BT, I got the BT bodyblock off and hell yes I teabagged the crap out of him at the exit gate.

It’s that DBD brings it to a worse level
I don't think so. I just think it feels worse because the games have a small amount of players and thus are much more personal so you really notice it.

In my opinion you shouldn't teabag in a shooting games especially during a midst of a shootout.
There's usually plenty of time to teabag in a game like halo. And if you die because of it the consequences are usually nothing anyways. But taking the time to teabag in a permadeath game is the ultimate insult.

This is probably the most toxic game I have ever played in my life, people on the forums, the douchebag survivors and the ######### killers, all of these three things make this the most toxic game in the world. I want this to end but clicky clicky survivors and killers with noed all make this game horrible, also t bagging, tbh survivors do 75% of the toxic ######### whilst killers do 25% but still this is horrible and can we have a good game where people say gg and where killers don’t camp and tunnel and where survivors don’t t-bag and bully killers?
Realistically, if they are clicking at you with a flashlight, they don't have a toolbox or a key. You can slap on lightborn if being flashlight blinded bothers you that much.
T-bagging is justified. It happens in every FPS game I have ever played; except maybe Apex, because in Apex there is usually no time to teabag or you might get shot.

Are we really continuing into 2020 with “fair”? It’s a competitive game of die or survive, kill or they escape. Do you want a participation badge as well?
DBD, competitive, lmao. That's a joke right?
-
I mean I get salt almost every game I win, even when I play fair. Here's one I just played against a streamer....
"Sorry we got a sweaty guy" - Dude who got 1.4k points cause I tunnel mori'd him.

Franklins is a really good perk against flashlight brigades. They will go for flashlight saves, they will go back to pick up flashlights. You can exploit this. Pretend to rotate to another area, but soon go back to where they dropped that flashlight and 8/10 times they will be going back for it, caught off guard.
Fake the pickup of an injured survivor if you suspect someone is going to flashlight save. Listen for an injured survivor if they're injured, or circle the blocked structures where they are probably hiding, look for scratch marks that didn't come from the downed survivor. Don't pick up unless you are facing a direction they don't have a flashlight angle like a wall. If you are not confident you'll get the pickup, just leave them slugged and look for survivors. A slugged survivor is just as good pressure, sometimes better because it takes time to heal them up while an unhook is instant.
If someone is blocking hook, that's a free hit. More than one are blocking? Great, more survivors injured. They use flashlight on you? Great, let them waste battery as you evade by looking up. They teabagging, taunting, fast vaulting? Great, wasting time not doing gens. Just don't get sucked in and distracted if you need to be keeping other survivors off of gens. Everyone bringing a flashlight? Great, they don't have toolboxes and you get to make Franklin's plays.
These are just the plays that come to mind because I've played 1500 hours. If you're new, you shouldn't be expected to know these yet. For some reason rank reset brings SWFs with my level of experience and well beyond to play against people that just installed the game.
It's honestly better to just use lightborn if you strictly want to deal with flashlights. It will stop any and all flashlight saves, stops all blinds at pallets / vaults, and usually gets you some free hits at pallets before they realize you are running it.
Really good players will not get M1'd easy, so you will probably take many blinds before you can hit them with franklins anyways.

Camping, tunneling, mori's, map offerings, object of obsession, DS/BT/DH, gen speeds. That's probably 90% of what I hear people complain about in post chat.
Sometimes tombstone if I am on a tombstone spree.

I honestly don't think haddo is THAT bad since the BL nerf. Most people are not running BL anymore, making the houses relatively unsafe.
It is still bad, but there's far worse maps out there now.
Badham, most coldwind maps, and ormond come to mind.
When someone offers a strode key I usually think "at least it wasn't the pied piper".

Does it matter? The killer will come out, and survivors will complain that he's OP, and he'll get Oni'd.
Oni is ridiculous right now, I would say one of the strongest killers in the game now that his flick is back. I think it's only a matter of time before people catch on.
All it takes is securing two M1 hits earlygame and he can 4k no problem with infectious fright. You can literally run around the entire shack and nail someone with a 90 degree flick, especially if you are running scalped topknot.
