Just don't DC. Bad games happen to all of us but the penalty has its purpose.
-
Aw man I just wanted my pot of gold that's all.
-
I would of just kept going then down him since killer is faster but I understand your frustration.

It's probably because their powers take time to reach that level. Hillbilly has tank controls while using his chainsaw, Myers and Ghostface need to stalk Survivors to a certain degree to get the Exposed status, etc. NOED just makes it so they don't need to bother with their power and just hit the attack button.
Although Thompson Jr still has the curve so if you time your chainsaw right and learn the timing on tiles he can still be very lethal.

What a bait...

If the devs can get there heads out there behinds and stop trying to play it safe, avoiding almost every issue, making excuses, having a poor vision of balance, catering towards either side causing a tribalistic mentality on the community which is splitting it apart, taking too long to fix certain issues/bugs, poor objective design, making broken perks/items, unnecessary nerfs, having a "casual" mindset of the game etc etc. The devs almost every time make things harder for them selves to attempt get the game in shape. The community wasn't like this close to launch until the broken aspects of the game were discovered and that the devs take so dang long to fix. They created an addictive mess of a game and now they're too scared to make any huge steps to put Dead by Daylight into shape and make it a satisfying game to play. Now I can't imagine how much stress they go through trying to fix what they can or attempt to fix. However they're the ones to put them selves in the positions of pressure, they have have the final say of what going in their game and its 100% their responsibility that this game is still a mess.

I mostly bait/cancel the stred attack to zone survivors from loops, depends on positioning though.

But old ruin used to justify it?
Pressuring gens is how killers complete their objective cause you know that is where you usually will find survivors to kill.
To be honest I must be lucky cause I haven't encountered 'gen rushing' before, most of my games end with more than 3 gens remaining.
What rank are you?

But you do realize getting those early hooks is how you win so you downing 2-3 people in the first 2 minutes is a win? And everyone used to complain that old ruin only lasted less than a minute but now 2 minutes isn't enough time for you? Alrighty then.
Yeah but Pop is powerful for mid to late game so yes you lose gens but those last couple will be slowed down alot.
Tremors is the worse of the bunch it needs a shorter cool down/no cool down.
Certain killers force survivors off gens naturally so it actually does work well, and it also forces some survivors to not save someone on hook because there gen will go down so I'd say it still does a good job if you utilize it correctly.
But then again I'm only one man I don't speak for the majority I'll keep understanding that the ruin change isn't a big deal and everyone else can do what they like.
Early game is important yes. But a perk or even a group of perks won't completely justify it considering the versatility of survivors and bad map design.
Killers cant pressure gens and do their own objectives at the same time. As a killer you can't really multitask that way. Its either delay the inevitable or try to get kills. Some killers can have that slight pressure but most dont. With the ruin change there needs to be something to make the game fun for both sides without people optimizing the fun out of dbd. As far as it is with gen rushing and kill rushing (tunneling ) the games less fun overall.

You have to admit it's kinda BS when you only have time to do four totems and die on your first hook because you were touched one time the entire game. It's a perk that rewards killers for being bad.
I can see why it feels like bs but noed is still counterable. Even if there're bs like moments its still the survivors responsibility to cleanse the totems.

So does Corrupt Intervention, Pop Goes The Weasel, Thrilling Tremors and even New Ruin.
Corrupt is only for 2 minutes, sure you can get a few downs there an there but for how versatile survivors can be, the gen times and bad map design it's only gonna do so much. While pop regresses one gen its not enough for a wide spread gen rush. Thrilling Tremors is 16 seconds for a longer cooldown not really that much. Lastly if new ruin is slowing you down then your doing something wrong because it only regresses the gens faster if your not on it plus its a hex so idk what to tell you on that one.

A good killer shouldn't depend on ruin just saying
Even a good killer is at the mercy of survivors doing gens. Ruin atleast made the games last longer.

Noed, maby blood warden, alittle bit of rancor. Though the "second chance" perks killers have are completely counterble. Unlike certain survivor perks such as adrenaline with the gen speeds, dead hard if used optimally, DS at certain occasions especially during endgame and many other subjective subjects.
-
Noed is completely counterble but no matter what someone will still complain cause of the privliged mindset that some of the community has...
-
You even camped and still got a 2 pip? Well... unfun tactics have thier uses after all. I dont blame you for this one
-
Welp welcome to dbd it doesn't get as privliged as this.
-
Dead hard(no chance to bait if used right) & Noed
-
Dont worry the devs will nerf those too. Its no big deal... it's a pretty god job... sooo far...
-
Useless

95%...? Maby for you

But Dead Hard isn't even that good. Once the survivor uses it, the killer just has to wait for them to use it. Easy counterplay. Something like Sprint Burst is better in most cases.
No... theres no room to bait it out if they use it on a pallet or window therefore no counterplay. If you use DH to dodge then your using it wrong. Its literally instant distance with a press of a button, no skill needed
