The killers only strength on rank 1 is to protect their hooks.
Due to the last update, that is not possible anymore as you cannot tunnel the unhooked if a rescuer immediatly pulls them off the hook.
Also after the next patch is released, you get punished for guarding yours. So camping really isn't a good strategy anymore.
You just have to watch yourself loosing and can't do anything against it.Everything a killer can do is nerfed to the ground because of whiny survivors.
So now killers have to chase survivors down, getting pallet looped and bullied all the game and they don't get a different taste of gameplay. They can't search chests, do gens or anything else, they have to constantly get ######### in the ass. Thats how the devs want it to be.
Killers then manage to get 2 kills with extreme tunneling or due to the survivors being incompetent, but it's not feeling like victory. It never will.
Because KILLERS are not able to win playing nice and sportsmanlike on the red ranks against viable survivors. All a killer can do is to select nurse or hillbilly and even then get owned by even better survivors, if you don't sweat all over the game.
I just wish the game would change some day, like the devs promised like 100 times.
-
This game is so broken for killers.
Who enjoys loosing just because picking the wrong killer in the main menu, lol? -
If survivors want camping to be prevented, they shouldnt be able to loop killers lol.
-
The state is, killers don't have a chance and are forced to run Ruin and play Billy or Nurse in order to even stand a chance.
-
You are right.
Killers are broken.EXTREMELY HARDCORE underpowered and not even capable of doing their job against intelligent survivors.

You are killing someone down there in the basement. It's like extended camping thus not bannable. Except that facecamping was bannable and they changed the game to allow survivors to unhook from all sides. And that isnt camping, its holding the game hostage to me
Facecamping was never bannable, stop lying. as I said "Im pretty sure ive seen a stream where a dev said a killer who repeatedly facecamps (pre unhook change) could be banned." I could be wrong, but i believe this to be true. you are wrong, facecamping was never bannable, nor was it holding the game hostage, or else we'd have to define looping as holding the game hostage too.
You are not entitled to an unhook just for existing.
You are entitled to the ability to unhook. That is my stance on the argument. The killer can do what they will to prevent you if they wish, but i believe there should at least be a chance as i stated a basement camping leatherface is okay with me, i have a chance to make him run into something/miss/etc and get the save.
No you aren't, stop being an entitled baby.
Lemme play an uno reverse
Just because you hook someone in the basement doesnt mean you are entitled to killing them.If you waste 120 seconds standing at the stairs, you are.
You just wasted the time of potential 4 gens being done by this time.Lol don't whine about it.
It's a bad strategy.i feel like a scenario where even 3 gens get done in that situation is unlikely
Again, you don't seem to have any knowledge about this game.
On rank 1 against viable survivors, exactly this happens.Survivors not being morons can easily just do gens and win with 3 people.

"its strategy" wow how much iq did you need to come up with that "strategy" lmao
How much IQ do you need to pallet loop, to use decisive strike or adrenaline?
That's not a argument, you are just entitled to winning.
I am a killer main bud, when i play survivor i dont use decisive, i dont find it useful, but i do like adrenaline. A win to me as killer is a 4k, but im not going to block survivors at the stairs to get it

You clearly are not the smartest person.
Decisive strike is the most overpowered and useful perk of the entire game.
Your survival chances are raised by ~33% just running this perk lol.But this isn't the topic.
If the killer managed to hook someone in the basement, which is a very difficult task, because on red ranks, people don't die near the basement or just block the entrance with a bunch of survivors when trying to hook survivors there, THEN the killer should be able to defend their ######### earned kill.
That's not holding the game hostage, it's just securing a kill.(I don't enjoy this behaviour and would like to see it getting patched, but HOWVER and thats my point, it is not bannable)

First of all DS It's really not OP
I'm playing on PS4 both killer and survivorAs a killer (usually pig)
most times get 4k (rank 3) and even if they all have DS it's fairly easy to get em' because it literally works only once, you're complaining about one stun per game if they hit it and up to 4 if you are really slow going to hook and they all have it, which is pretty rare.As a survivor
It's really not that great of a perk. you get small asf skill checks which (at least on ps4) 65% of the time warps over the whole skill check otherwise it's nice if you hit it... until you realise he's right back on you.please stop complaining and learn to play the game.
applies to other perks aswell, don't know any op perk because there isn't any
NOED - find the totem or open doors before killer gets to you
SC - It's pretty slow and really not that op it's just good if the killer isn't on you, which he usually is if you're injured or you get saved from a hook and there is a guy already healing you
Pallet Looping - don't whine, just break the pallet or outsmart him
All you entitled people thinking you know the best.
You don't know ######### about DbD it seems.Otherwise you wouldnt play pig.
(If you break pallets for 5 minutes, what if the game is over then?) -

Talking about objective unbalance.
4 survivors need 110 seconds at gens to complete their gen objective.A single survivor stays 2 minutes on hook until he dies
A single person on a gen without any aid takes only 80 seconds smart guy lol
yes and 4 survivors working optimally on gens take 110 sec, to be precise it actually only takes 80+28.57=108.57 seconds
Wait can you explain where you got the 28.57? I'm missing something. And did you mean that 4 survivors working on a gen each?
yes first each survivor works solo on a gen(80), then all 4 on one (28.57)
Thats the optimal way to do it
Yeah because the Killer never chases anyone in this game....
Killer can only chase 1 person down.
So how are 4 Survivors doing generators?
The minimum time to complete is around 160 seconds, less with whatever time two Survivors doing a gen takes.
The time a gen needs is 80 seconds to be accurate.
With multiple survivors on it even less. How is a killer supposed to hook survivors 12 times in the time of 80 x 5 (most optimal way) seconds?
The devs need to finally adress this issue and entitled survivors mains should stop playing church and prevent the evolution of this game.
Having a challenge in the game and a more fun and thrilling game is in the will of nearly every player of the game.
It was supposed to be a horror game actually.
Now it's just a killer getting bullied by survivors.
It's not about nerfing survivors entirely, the game just needs balance.
The killer shouldn't be able to immediatly end the game, but the survivors shouldn't have this chance either. -
The fact you can run around a normal killer for minutes is the most ######### gameplay decision the dbd team ever made and after 2 years, they didnt let go of it.

Na I kinda disagree. The reason why you do well as a mediocore Nurse player is mostly because there are many survivors out there, that can't handle her well or just aren't so good in general. I mean I do many mistake against a nurse by myself. But still i can avoid her hits or trick some Nurse players into a pallet stun, while others on red Rank fall like flies. And I would say I'm not super good survivor in general.
The only questionable thing might be Nurse with certain AddOn-Combos. I've barely tried to play with them. Prefer other killers like LF or Wraith tbh. So I can't say how it is to play her on a regular Basis. I can only tell it's a lot about thinking where a Survivor will be etc. And that requires experience.
On the other hand. There is a good skill or game understanding which all the other killers require in comparison to the Nurse. Mostly because she ignores Elements like vaults and palletes.
While with other killers you kinda have to learn how to handle with them, when survivors use them. What's mindgamable. What's safe. When can I throw as huntress, chainsaw as Billy etc.
Stuff that a Nurse only player never learns. Because they don't need to learn them. Still she is a killer you need to get into. And even after you learned how to blink, then there is much more to learn in sense of game knowledge and usability, while other killers might rely more on survivor mistakes than her.
So I would say that she requires skill. There is more besides learning to master her ability. Maybe people overestimate the gap a little bit. But it requires skill for a Nurse to stand a chance against good survivors.Im a good survivor, and a very good killer. Nurse is probably my 4th favorite killer to play and my main is huntress. I disagree with you. A half decent nurse can absolutely tear apart a group of good survivors. Especially when you throw on an extra blink or two.
I play all killers + survivor equally.
Nurse is extremely hard to play on rank 1 for me.
You constantly get outplayed and you basically need a lot of training before being viable with her.
But when you invested a good amount of hours in her, she can be devastating. You have to really concentrate to play her good though.
-
My rules are pretty simple.
If someone has decisive strike I play unfair and how I want to, including camping, tunneling etc.
If no one has decisive strike and the gens are not rushed I play for fun and let the last one escape if I even kill all 3 survivors. -

What’s the difference? You’re already in tears on the forum half the time wanting killer buffs and being unable to make it past the yellow ranks as a survivor
So you are implying survivor needs skill?
I hit the red ranks without even being good a million times.
Just go and get yourself a few gen rushers and you are rank 1 within hours. -
It's not that hard to hack in dbd, so it could be real.

New player says DS is fine lol! Getting "owned" by Decisive is nothing the killer can help you know.. maybe try playing killer at high rank before making silly assumptions? Maybe as you said.. Learn to play? Nah DS is fine. It can be countered. People need to gitgud
You just said NOED is for trash killers in another thread.. your survivor bias is showing kid.. NOED can be countered.. Decisive can't be. Especially at the highest level of play. Which you've clearly never got to.
Yea i have. its still fine
You haven't unless you've been against full SWF groups at rank 1 using the best items they can.. those matches are why Decisive is not ok.. if only 1 person could run it then it's fine but a whole team with it is not.
It would still suck, because as killer you aere robbed a hook you earned.
But I agree it would be better.I would just change Decisive to 45% wiggle bar (obsession) and to 65% (non obsession) and reduce the stun time significantly.

I see DS as the same as dead hard, it just can potentially avoid an attack but you will go down again straight after.
And this goes for the same as perks that survivors complain about, ruin is not hard to deal with, just find the hex or power through the gen, hitting great skill checks becomes easy after a while
Play lower ranks.
DS is a huge problem.
If you downed a player successfully, they shouldn't be able to loop you again after stunning you.
It's important in the early game for the killer to hook survivors in order to win, this is completely taken away by DS.
Well, I did play in low ranks, and guess what, it wasnt a problem, so I got out of low ranks, baby killers always got something to complain about
Least killers don't spam threads about nerfing camping, tunnelling, BBQ, Hillbilly, Nurse, NOED, Doctor, etc.. Yeah your point is very poor here.. the most I see killers complain about is DS. Not much else.

Also, maybe I'm Billy main, but I also enjoy playing Piggy a lot (she's my bae), Hag, Doc & Freddy. And yes, sometimes I have bad games where survivors gen rush me, but it's not for that reason that I'm going to run NOED. I used to use it, and I realized that I gave all I had when I wasn't using it.

I like tru3, but that's stupid. You can rely on NOED on rank 10+ but not below.
You have to play strategically. -
It should be nerfed to that date then.

I never thought they would make it that far.
They aren't listening to the players, they don't have a proper lobby system (queues take up to 10 min still) and in all the game is completely inbalanced.

@PhantomMask20763 I think they should remove the aura-reading.
I think rancor is the equivalent of NOED, that's a perk which rewards a poor gameplay.
I play on both sides, and I never use NOED. But it happened to me once to be able to get one kill (after having hooked them all), and unfortunately, I got the obsession who saved his DS until the end, so I ended up having no kills. In this case, I understand why a perk like Rancor was made.
But as a survivor. I never use DS. And when nobody in my team does, I am ALWAYS the obsession. Unlucky, you're going to say...
But it really pisses me off that a perk which has been created to counter DS is used on me. It ruins my game, because as OP said, all they do is wait for the gens to be completed, so I don't get any rescue or bold points and I finish the game having 6k.If you get genrushed => bad player?
Your logic is flawed, billy main. -
People like me not maining a specific killer or specific survivor have it hard.

If they would continue to provide us with a quality game, they would have actually fixed well common bugs and game breaking bugs over releasing new dlcs.
We certainly know people can't implement all of ours ideas, but the game is full of spaghetti code, full of presets (like physics, shadows, shaders), full of bugs and totally inbalanced.
They have enough developers to rework some code, fix nearly all the bugs in ~3-4 months when focussing on the game and on top of that fix the balance. It's not that hard, balancing some broken perks and fix looping for the game again to be scary. But they just refuse to do it. I guess because someone says to them "You should'nt, we focus on making money!".
Or they are just lazy.
But there are only these 2 reasons.I mean they don't even read through the threads in the forums, nor answer bug reports.
The forum is like the steam forums a community for the community not a tool to connect with the game.
They don't even answer properly on discord, just ignoring people with good suggestions. -
