Camping/Tunneling = GenRush/Looping. They all feed off each other and cause constant salt.

"Survivors are BROKEN, Gen rush is real. DEVS FIX IT."
"Well we Gen rushed cause you camped Dwight. There was nothing stopping us."
"Well he looped me. Am I supposed to want to chase him around again?"
"Maybe he played against you before and knew you'd camp him no matter what? Campers suck."
"I only Camp cause bad Survivors always gen rush."
"But we Gen Rushed cause you camped."

It's a lovely cycle. That being said, only bad Survivors loop and only bad Killers camp/tunnel unless it's needed in the situation... like if they are being tunneled/camped or gen rushed/looped. None can be fixed without the others being fixed to... so it probably will never happen.

Then rank 1-5 is full of bad players.

If the game wouldnt benefit the killer for killing one entirely off the game, this wouldn't be a problem.

Gen rushing wouldn't be a problem if the game wouldn't benefit the Survivors for completing generators.

That's how dumb your statement sounds.

Lol I am talking about hurting the team with a death that hard, if the survivor is supposed to have 3 lifes by the game.

Just decrease the gen times for each death would fix the issue regarding this.
Increase it for higher player counts etc.

  • I want the game to be balanced for both sides.
Not a fifth perk slot. (Still a waste)

  • You are kidding right?

Killers are not overpowered, truly not.
Playing survivor just has a extremely high skill cap, but if you manage to actually "git gud" in the game, you will destroy every killer with a team of experienced survivors. No doubts.

Playing killer however is very simple and basic and you cannot really do anything about good loopers, so you are basically screwed.
You can do fine against sole survivors not knowing how to loop and exploit the map properly, but the first time a survivor exploits a jungle jim on you, you ######### get how unbalanced this game for killers really is.
If you get flashlighted at every palllet and then decisive striked after a 4 gen chase, you finally get it.
So stop playing survivors and whine about dying, because you are not good at the game, begin playing killer and then come back and redesign your post here.

Both sides are completely messed up regarding balancing.
But a normal not teleporting killer has no chance to win against survivors knowing what they are doing, (if rng map is good to survivors, which is a big factor either)
You just have to know the timings, the map, the exploits of the map, the killers abilities, you cannot JUST PLAY survivor only and get how killers function, you need to play killer in order to know what kilers can do and can't do.

I just hope both sides are getting a little tweaked, so there aren't anymore overpowered mechanisms like the 3 gen strat, camping / tunneling, excessive window/pallet looping, overpowered survivor perks and the crutch hatch escape / with or without key.

  • The problem with the trapper is, there are maps, where you cant hide your traps and experienced survivors will never fall for your traps, he is only viable on high ranks unfortunately as it's a big mind game.

Ah the old machine gun build. I remember grabbing Myers, reaching tier III evil within, and landing 2-3, sometimes 4 downs back to back. Good times, good times. Probably won't be implemented since it if they revert a change to a perk, people will clamour at them to change other things too.

They can even buff Sprint Burst after they would have implemented the machine gun build again. That's how much fun it was. They should change a lot of stuff back to how it used to be. The faster pallet break with Brutal Strength was also a lot higher! 40% or 30%

The nerf to brutal strength was totally unnecessary, I agree with you on that point, but the machine gun build is bullshit.

It's like asking for Decisive Strike to not change.

As survivor playing on rank 20-10 it's barely fun.
Fun begins at rank 10 or lower.

You spawn in the round with the most stupid team in the world.
A doctor with the most powerful addons and moris and you don't stand a single chance.
It's not even fun to depip constantly, hoping for the next killer to not equip the most powerful stuff, but it still happens, no matter how your equipment look like.
I began to question myself, why these people are wasting their stuff so reckless to play against low rank survivors.
In nearly every case, their profile is private and the player owns 1 game. I really think these type of players are hackers, but I encounter one nearly every second round and the game really is no fun then.
I have to do all the work and in the end, it's for nothing, not even a pip or something.

Why are these people even on these ranks?
How broken is the ranking system for real?

The only reason I always lose when versing a doc is that all my mates DC, I have no idea what their problem is.....
Yes playing survivor at low rank can be quite frustrating because they dont know how much power they have, they dont know how to loop properly and they are still actually scared from the killer and dont just rush gens.

For the same reason I stay in the low ranks with my killer now.

oh, and if you have done all the work you will get a pip for sure, especially since survivor piping has become so easy

There is not much work to do.
They all die within 2 minutes, you can barely do 2 gens in this time.
You just don't pip, they all sacrifice themselves and the killer is the biggest tryhard in the world.

  • @Someissues said:
Even if the Killer is using a Mori you should still get a Black-pip at best, unless you constantly end up being the first person on the hook, getting black pip nowadays really isn't that hard if you try to bring a toolbox and learn a few juke spots

Ranking on survivor is all about playtime, the more you play the faster you will get to Rank 1 in no time, you will get some unlucky matches where you are guaranteed to die, either camp the hatch or try to get as much points for a black pip before you die

    That's on your end

Yeah, I get black pips or depips all the time, but I actually wanna pip.
But I can't with this killer community staying at high ranks to purposely rekt noob survivors.

The whole team dies to a camper or a hardcore tryhard mori killer in like 2 minutes, and I don't lie about that.
That's just how it is for me, playing with friends, not being loop gods or in general solo!

  • The killer should always have the opportunity to prepare for the survivors he is facing.
It would be unfair, if he couldn't.

  • I used to play killer on rank 1 before rank reset.
I am a killer main, and I still am one.
But I sometimes play survivor too.

So yeah, I know what it is like.
But I have always the chance to pip, if I really try.
As survivor I mostly don't have that opportunity, when not playing with godlike looper survivors.

  • The nerf of sb is desperately needed.
It's a good thing, but it's not enough for sb.

  • You can catch survivors, depending on the map, the perks and items of an player.
It could take 4 gens tho, doesnt even account your skill, as there is a skill cap for every killer not being nurse and hillbilly.

Just facecamp everyone, till the devs fix the game to actually being fun for everyone.

  • I actually talk via the postgame chat

  • @Damaho said:
I really hate tunneling! You should be banned for it, it is toxic and requires no skill! Have you ever thought about the poor individual that suffers because of your tunneling? It is just not fun!

Every game there is that stupid tunneler. Only sits on this one gen and tunnels it until it is done. There are more than one gen you know! How about you get up after 50% of the gen done instead of tunneling this poor gen to death completion.

    ...

Oh, wait. You are talking about this ridiculous "You should hunt the guy with full health instead of the injured one just because full health guy is teabagging in front of you"-Tunneling. Not toxic, just the smart thing to do.

If you want it to stop DONT GIVE KILLERS ADVANTAGES when killing a survivor off.
Adjust gen times to player count. I already suggested it a million times, devs just ignored my request and said then I should switch to a different game, if the game is for killers unplayable lol.
This would fix gen rushing, camping, tunneling, just ######### everything the game is broken for so long.

Survivors can be stronger than killers, true, but killers can be stronger than half strong survivors, they just have to adapt the game, so the goal of an survivor is not anymore to waste time of a killer, instead GET AWAY FROM THE KILLER EFFICIENTLY.

It´s just to waste his time.

    Please revert this change.
It's pointless with perks like self care.

Just remove SC or nerf it into oblivion, its about time anyway

Also I never had that quest, did they introduce new ones?

Spread the word and let's celebrate independence the killer way!

    I already do that.

Fix; Bloodlust doesn't disappear, and not only that. Each stage of bloodlust gives you a small bonus to Vaulting, kicking, breaking.

Bloodlust disappear can cause some great issues in some areas, especially the stone circle. A good survivor can loop you there for 3 rounds or more if you respect pellets, then after you break the pellet he can loop you for other 2-3 rounds, close to 1.30/2 minutes can be wasted on here alone

with Bloodlust gone on hitting survivors, pellets wouldn't be much of an issue

    [Survivor logic of yours]
"Don't respect the pallet, just destroy it!"

Of course it doesnt work, if so, people would play like that, destroying a pallet means, the survivor gets away and you have to track them again (giving them based on the chase length all the points they need + 250 "ez" escape points)

Sometimes a proxy camp to make them think, there is hope this hooked person can be saved, but there pretty much isn't any however. (to get them away from gens)
But most of the times I just facecamp with my good old friend leatherface. (to trigger salty swfs with bt)

I am now rank 2 and I get 40k every round with my bbq. I dont even use addons, just crutch perks.
I am literally forced to play this style and I get confused if survivors make mistakes, because in the most cases, they don't.

All they need to do is to get rid of the infinites, window loops and ultra safe pallet loops.
    Additional the gen times should be adjusted by the current player count. 4p = 120sec, 3p = 80sec, 2 = 60sec, 1 = 45sec.
Maybe a bp bonus for playing against swfs like 25%.

However the current state is nearly unplayable against good survivors.

So you do the easy thing instead of learning and getting better with a more advanced killer than PleasureFace, then want the game to be made easier for you, then make camping even more viable when those changes are made?

Nice. Great idea. Well done. Applause.

If survivors can loop then sexy old leatherface can camp. Whatever works. I've been feeling the urge to camp a lot more recently too. I've been turning off my end-game chat and have been getting 2-3 sacrifices per game, sometimes everyone. Tunneling is required though if they sneak through.

Okay, great. Camping is viable but for you to suggest ideas to make it even more so is stupid. Not everyone likes to play like a boosted cretin and ruin everyone else's fun.

We're not playing to ruin fun, we are playing to win which brings us fun.
I am a camper, I admit, I a tunnel, I admit, I [BAD WORD] use every strategy in order to win, I ADMIT.
Sorry, but we're taking the easy way as the hard way is loosing even if you are a godlike killer.
Maybe this way, sometimes something changes.

AND no, I don't want to play nurse.

Sooo many killers win without camping and tunneling at all ranks. Get better and stop making excuses.

You may not be consciously trying to ruin people's fun, but you are if you play a certain way. If that's how you play, it's not a problem, as you can do as you wish within the rules of the game and without exploiting..but don't then say, "but this is all I can do" because it's not true.

You do seem like you never played killer on rank 1 against good survivors.

A chase against a good survivor takes 1 minute MINIMUM to end potentially with downing the survivor. Without any infinites or decisive strike.
In this time nearly 3 gens can be popped. With ruin like 2.

So in the most optimal way, I can down a survivor in a minute.
A hook stage takes 1 minute.

Camping the player would hinder 2 players from doing gens and GRANTS me a kill, which is the main objective of a killer. (1 player NEARLY ALWAYS waits for the unhook on rank 1)

This strategy would guarantee me atleast 2 kills against survivors without BNP or insta find ruin.

Sorry, that I don't enjoy loosing over and over again for doing absolutely perfect.

Oh great, another one who brings up Rank like it means something. Look, I've played against many good survivors and at rank 1.

As for the rest of your reply....

    What?

And I played against really good people who know what they were doing, and without nurse or billy, there is no counter play.

    For the "What?"
I guess logic does confuse you.

It's just frustrating to loose even tho you did your best, just because your team is best.
Lower gen time according to the alive count would fix this. (Obv. gen times would in general be higher in a 4 ply game)

    For example:
    4p = 120sec
    3p = 80sec
    2p = 60sec
    1p = 45sec

This would help with genrushing, remove a lot of pressure from the killer and doesn't make survivor feel ######### when only 2 of them are left. (They actually have a chance then)

People still can't accept that camping is still a thing and literally intended by the Devs? It's really not a big deal in the slightest.

    Its not intended.
They talk it good, because they cant balance the game properly, because of the survivor tears.

    Camping is intended.
You have to give the killer a reason to leave the hook, not expect him to go on a fool's errand and hope he doesn't come back in time. Someone getting caught is now a bait for other players, and a bait, in several scenarios, do have pretty low survival chances.

If you have a problem with that, you have 2 solutions :
    Do not save against campers.
    Do not get caught.

And yes, at times, you'll get caught and camped. ######### happens.

    It's not intended.
They never intended a killer watching a player 120 seconds die.
If so, they wouldn't do so much about it. (+40 hook time, 3 perks against it, test builds to fix camping etc.)

It is used because killers are weaker as survivors, forcing them to watch a player die, slowly...

It's totally boring for a killer to watch a player die 120 seconds.
But the majority of killers does it. Including me. BECAUSE YOU CAN'T WIN OTHERWISE, when not playing one of the 2 clearly overpowered killers.

They have to fix it and not call it "strategy".
It is not, strategy needs to be thought of.
This is over and over the same standing in front of a dying player or a few feet away. No real strategy involved.

With camping I mean not patrouling the hook to catch other survivors.

    It's intended.
The only reason they added 30s (it's not 40), is because they also added 10s to the gen, and 5s to the gates, so to balance it out so killers do not win exclusively by camping, they did increase the hook time.
If there's 3 perks against it, it's EXACTLY to be able to deal with this kind of scenarios. It's more of a proof it's intended than the opposite.

Standing in front of a player and waiting for him to die is exactly like repairing gen while someone is camping, it's a strategy. A basic one, but still one.
Not to mention it's necessary for it to stay to be able to use a 3 gens strategy efficiently, allowing you to camp your target while close patrolling your gen, which is a very common STRATEGY used by several killers.

It's cheap and not fun for anyone.
It was never intended from the devs, that a killer MAINLY camps. It was intended the killer is around making it dangerous, but not impossible to hook save.
They never intended a survivor dying on the first hook. They wouldnt have added 3 hook stages if it wasn't intended for the survivor to get in the game again.

The impossible hook save is totally intended. Devs stated several times in the stream that you shouldn't save when the killer is around, and even nerfed BT so you couldn't easily counter a camper.
Dying on the first hook can happen to anyone depending on the situations. Saying it's not intended is just pushing the excuses.

They nerfed BT because they INSTANT SAVED each other, not because they want to encourage camping, holy moly, where do you get all the wrong informations from?

That's just not true. It was simply too advantageous for the rescuer that could just tank hits too easily, and allowing both players to get away and leave unchecked.
Not sure where YOU got your infos.

What I know is : I'm talking to devs on discord on a regular basis, you might as well ask them if you want to make sure. The discord is opened to everyone.

I was assuming they nerfed it, because it was a safe unhook for both players, but if they removed it to allow killers to even camp harder, they clearly don't know how to design a game, I am sorry.

I am a killer main and I am camping, because I am forced to nearly every round.
I want to play different, but the game doesn't allow me to. If I do, I loose.

That's not the intention of the game and if the intention really was camping down everyone you get, then I rather play civilization 5 or survivor.

I have thousands of ideas to balance the game properly and they all would work, if the devs would listen 1 time to their customers, but they are not.

The game is flawed by thousands of bugs and design issues promoting slugging, camping, window abuse and pallet looping, while this game claims to be an horror game which it truly isn't.
I really hoped the new 2.0 update would change things, I really hoped for that. But it didn't.

Like I said, I already agree about the first part : camping or not camping should be a mindgame. At the moment, if you step away more than 15 meters from the hook, the survivor gets rescued instantly, and the recovery for that is way too quick if you let it unchecked, which leaves camping to be one of the only viable option.

They nerfed BT to prevent bumrushing hooks and sandbagging, because the main issue with BT was : it would still make the killer go for the rescued, since both survivors were protected. So it was an "anti tunnel" feature, along with a camping favored feature, to make the killer able to punish bold rescues, which, in the end, favors camping, and force the rescuer to AT LEAST not take a hit before unhooking if he doesn't want to get downed and hooked for free.

Not sure what you hoped tho, 2.0 is just a very few changes, as these devs do very few updates and changes per patches because they do not want to scare their community.

Their job is to scare people with a horror game, they just aren't able to perform so.

LIke I kept saying on other thread : they transformed that horror game into a team game. The original spirit of the game was to make everyone to survivor for his own and leave others to die. They forgot that concept and made it a scoobydoo fest, trying to allow survivors to rescue while the killer is around and such.

It slowly killed the intidimating factor of the killer, and pushed it to the point where mocking wasn't even enough anymore, but it transformed into discrimination and blame for using X or X strategy aka Camping (even when it's deserved)

    I agree with you.
My whole point was, they never really intended facecamping or in general "camping" survivors off whenever one is hooked (Patrolling isn't camping).
They may say, it's intended, but it's not, we all know that. They do things against it quite often. (3 very very strong perks are there to prevent camping, even if they can get destroyed or annulated pretty quickly.

Without changing the game meta they won't ever make this game as scary as it is on rank 20 for new players.
Same goes for the balance of the game. So many flaws which needs to be taken care off.

Just fixing the camping issue isn't gonna balance the game out. (It would make things worse actually)

  • Like 90% of the list is absolute bullshit.

You complain about gameplay tactics that discourage you as survivor or as killer.
Just accept, you lost a game.

For the camping part, camping is there because survivors are stronger than killers.
Balance the game, behaviour. Nobody needs to camp then. No more complains in your forums. Easy as that.
Don't bring out more DLCs with killers getting pallet and window looped. Make them scary, it's a horror game.

  • If a killer camps, the game did something wrong.

  • I am already playing killer more less.
    If that counts as strike.

  • The only reason I use Unnerving on my doctor is because of DStrike.
Don't go on and speak for killers, if you ain't a killer.

I use Enduring on my huntress just for DStrike.
It wastes 1 slot for 1 perk, which still isn't countered by those perks.

DStrike needs to be nerfed drastically and I hope they do it right and don't listen to survivors, thinking, they have the right to survive in 4 swf teams without loosing anyone.

4 private profiles => Guaranted dodge

that's why time penalties are good, just for stupid killers. good killers won't be harmed, they play the game or would dodge 1 or 2 games (maybe 30s on first dodge and 1min on second and so on...)

And also, the balance is terrible.
You can do all gens, even without any swf communication in below 4 minutes.

and again balancing.... that's not the point of this discussion. please troll other threads about balancing gens. time penalties have nothing to do with balancing. just pointless...

    No that would be terrible.
Low ranks would be nurse & billy only (or no killers at all).

They have to balance the game, before even going and fix dodging.

  • The game is all about survivors.
I don't want to sound like a bad killer main tho.

    Both roles are inbalanced sadly.

Thats one step in the right direction.

You can set your profile to "private" with enough skills!

it seems you only get swf groups as killer. i am sorry for that but there are enough randoms out there and from their point of view it is hard enough to survive. just try some rounds without your friend group and you will see.so balancing is not about mimimi, because you are unlucky, have wrong perks with you or just no skills. your argument, time penalty should not be set because of balancing is just stupid. with a progressive time penalty you are also able to play your bad games.

Because killers are Bots and are too stupid to understand what a private profile means for them?

dodging has nothing to do with balancing. as killer you just want the perfect victims. there are enough dodgers when you carry an item. you don't know the perks of the swf so you can't argue with balancing like that. profiles disabling is also complete nonsense (you can set your profile on private btw). instead you are saying you would dodge swf with over 1000+ hours? poor killer...if you are ready to play, make a lobby and PLAY...if you dodge as swf because of ping it is understandable as long as the devs don't set up own servers. no one in europe wants to play with an asian killer and his ping. for tjose who wanna play normally a time penalty won't hurt. as swf you have to wait nearly half an hour on bad days to get a game, because several killers dodge....EVERY online competetive game has time penalties.

    What the hell?
I never spoke for every dodger.
I don't even dodge games regularly. (The most time in the player search procedre I am afk)

"EVERY online competetive game has time penalties."
Nearly every other online competitive game is balanced. (Atleast they are not SO GREATLY INBALANCED as dbd)
The current game state is so much in favor of the survivor, it's nearly incredible.
Still there are people asking for BALANCE for survivors.
You guys got everything you need. More than that. You can win below 4 minutes of legit gameplay, even when facing a tryhard killer.
I played survivor on rank 1 with my p3 laurie and ######### hell, it was so easy, I quit and began playing killer.
I would never have played killer if the game wasn't so easy as hell for survivors. and it still is...
The only danger outgoing from a killer is, when the killer is a nurse, hillbily OR CAMPS.
Even then you could just gen rush them. Depipping the killer.
Window loops are too ######### overpowered, same as the no delay pallet stuns, when a player throws down a pallet you can't even react to (when your ping is okay).

If you disable looking at profiles, you atleast can't know how good a player is, you just see his items.
Thats one step in the right direction.

But disabling dodging TOTALLY would mean every killer main will quit time to time and then, nobody is left to host your "game" (basically a round of bullying one player, not even a fun game for them).

Who the ######### wants to run in circles, getting infinite looped, stunned every 2 seconds, blinded and humiliated at the end of the game by survivors running back in the map just because they know, you can't harm them after the gates are powered (no noed). Did the devs ever talk about this in their game?

  • Dodging should never be punished, instead survivors and killers should get balanced, so nobody needs to dodge.
    (Or disable looking at profiles)
