  • I don't think I've ever read that in my life, lol. But yeah, that's my bad. I usually get the changes and stuff from here, and I don't buy skins,so I just didn't ever think to look at it. Still cool though.

Licensed dlc. Not everyone is willing to pay real money so that's cutting off a lot of new killers

There's that. I also see a lack of players in general early in the morning lol. I guess we'll see. I'm still seeing him pretty consistently on PS4. Just about every other match.

    Other Stats of Interest

Some other stats of interest for you:

    • NoED was used in 72 matches and resulted in 31 deaths. That's an average of just .43 extra kills per use
    • Of the 72 matches with NoED, all 5 generators only got done 49 times or 68% of the time
    • Killers with NoED got a 4K 15 times (20.8%)
    • Killers with NoED got a 3K 15 times (20.8%)
    • Killers with NoED got a 2K 14 times (19.44%)
    • Killers with NoED got a 1K 19 times (26.38%)
    • Killers with NoED got a 0K 9 times (12.5%)
    • Of the 19 Killers who got a 1K with NOED, only 9 of them (47.36%) got their only kill due to NoED
    • 26 People were killed by a Mori. That's just 3.25% of people killed by a Mori.
    • 21 survivors disconnected. That's just 2.65% disconnect rate
    • 839 generators were completed. That's an average of 4.195 gens per match
    • 90 people used Decisive Strike. Of those 90, 43 escaped. An escape rate of 47.77%
    • 510 people did NOT use Decisive Strike. Of those 510, 222 escaped. An escape rate of 43.52%
    • 21 people escaped through the hatch. Of those, only 3 were given the hatch by the killer. 2 of those by Ghostface, 1 by Spirit.
    • 8 people were given the exit gate by the killer.
    • 4 people used a key to escape. That's 19% of the people who escaped through the hatch.

Notes: I did not include my own DS in the DS totals. I rarely run the perk myself, but because I didn't include it in the perk usage data, I decided not to include it in the final data either.

Wanted to ask a question sorta unrelated and hope it doesn't sound mean. Do you use a Pro controller on Switch? Because I seriously can't imagine playing DBD with a Joycon. I don't know too many people that play on Switch and I was really curious what it was like.

  • @Maelstrom10 said:

i honestly got that archive on my first match (the initial one) by just running fixated and walking behind the killer constantly, following them during pickups. this one looks much easier at 30s.

Same thing I did. If you get lucky they might even camp the hook lol. I thought it was pretty easy compared to some of the other ones.

You remembered it right. You get login reward of 50k BP until June 23rd, refreshes at 11 AM EST.

That's what I was thinking but didn't hear anything about it. Definitely don't mind free BP lol.

I'd like to see the new map but the Entity doesn't want me too :(

No one has burned any map offerings, and I've been to it once in about 6 games. I've been to Swamp and the Asylum and I'm not happy :(

Edit: I was typing this as I was loading into a match. Match loads and guess where I am? Asylum. Again. ######### this game.

You'll definitely have that. I got it on my second match as survivor. I think the other Cheryl brought an offering. First match was Pyramid on Haddonfield. Was interesting. Yesterday I got Autohaven so many times you'd have swore it was the only map in the game. I think I saw two other maps in 6 hours. There's some I forgot even exist on occasion. Be nice if there was a better rotation.

  • @Buttercake said:

Congrats on bringing horror back to the game!

It was so maze like and at least one room seemed to only have one exit. Ugh, and pyramidhead was there. At one point I felt like I was going to throw up. It got too much for me. In the end I hid in the basement cause I couldn't take the tension anymore.

Hopefully I'll get better on this map.

I actually agree. I'm not the type to get scared really either. It was super tense. The amount of sounds going on also adds to it. The crying in the bathroom stall for example. You got bells, the sounds of chains. I was freaking out at one point. I just had no idea where the exit was. When the gen popped it looked like it was below me. Couldn't figure out how to get down at first lol. When I finally did,I still couldn't find it. I was actually panicking so hard I walked right over the hatch lmao. I was like "what's that sound...wait,where is it?!" I got a new 4K TV and the upscaling isn't great (still using a PS4 slim),but I feel like it makes it look actually dark like one would expect. They did a really good job on the map.

  • Same here. It does get significantly louder, but I made I'm almost Devotion 2 from just a few months of playing,so it definitely gets heavy rotation, lol. Never had an issue.

I'm just one guy who came up with a killer idea and thought it sounded good enough to share. Maybe there's just more people who are into the idea of FNAF being in the game than you expected?

Edit: We already have a giant elephant and a man dressed up as an elf.

I mean,I saw two posts in like 3 days. You don't see how that's different, lol? One is an outfit for a killer clown with a pocket knife. They'd almost have to pick one of the original characters. Not everyone has played the games. They might just recognize them from toys or something. Videos.

The most obvious choice is going to be Freddy or Golden Freddy. Now how do you make him attack? Give him a weapon when he's never used one? Make him bite (I doubt it when hits barely connect sometimes). I just don't see them picking one of the not as visible or recognized "mascot" characters. The only one I could see working is Foxy.

If they make it a full chapter, then you have the issue of a survivor. They aren't going to use a child. We've never seen anyone's face. They'd almost have to make something up off the top of their head, which which hasn't ever happened for a licensed chapter. Plus they have to think of a map. There's an obvious choice there as well.

Maybe silly wasn't the right word. Maybe you and many other people think the game is scary. I personally dont. It lacks the gritty horror element. Sure, maybe if you know the lore and read the books and all this. Someone that doesn't know any better is going to see one of those characters and just really be scratching their head. And like I said,I'm not knocking you,or the game. I'm a huge fan of Scott as a developer. He did something I wouldn't have thought was possible when I was a young programmer.

I've made suggestions as well. There's a list of killers the community has begged for. For years now. There's a guy that wants Frank from Dead Rising in the game. He goes hard, and doesn't seem to care what people think. I admire someone liking something, and wanting to see more of it,or see it in a different way. You never know, maybe someday. Just saying in my opinion,it just doesn't quite fit somehow. I'd also have never thought they'd be able to get Silent Hill as a license,soooo....

Welcoming all hot takes, unpopular opinions and tough questions. What chapter do you want to see most in dbd? I want to see the dark tower in the game with Roland as the survivor and the crimson king as the killer. Maybe since BHVR is unpredictable, we can get a book license.

Being fair, they do try to pick ones that are well known and/have widespread appeal. I'm not sure Dark Tower fits that bill. I mean Roland would pretty much just be Deathslinger without a harpoon. Unless you have some suggestions to make it cool. I'd like to see some kind of Vampire, personally. Don't really care. Kain,Lestat,Dracula, Nosferatu, whatever. Even Mobius or Blade or something lol. Just feel like they could make that interesting. The devs do a good job on the original ones even. The ones they come up with are better than anything I can do. I like how they make the powers and stuff really fighting sometimes. Like Freddy and Michael Myers. They make a lot of sense to me.

Let me know what you guys think - I'd really love for this to be included in the game, but I don't see the devs implementing fan concepts any time soon. Though if any of them see this, feel free to steal it. :P

Are you the same guy that keeps bringing this up,or is there multiple people? I noticed your account was pretty new. I personally just think the characters don't quite fit. A lot of them are sort of silly. I'm not knocking the game or anything, that's just my opinion. A big teddy bear,or fox,or a doll. I dunno.

  • @NickChinchill said:

I'm extremely new so it's probably obvious that the Silent Hill trailer convinced me to put down my money for it. I had heard whispers about Dead by Daylight here and there but didn't feel compelled to look into it until that was announced - Silent Hill had a major impact on me as a teen so yeah, count me as one of those poor souls who've been left hanging for a long time for more quality SH stuff.

As it turns out, DbD's packed full of other horror icons, is pretty straight forward to pick up and play, and rewards improvement and progression as you go! So I'm glad to have this new, spooky-themed hide and seek game to play, and will toss some coins in for the SH DLC once it's live. But what about you guys? Were there any chapters that drew you in or did friends recommend it to you?

I don't exactly remember. I got it on PC close to launch. I had a few friends playing, but not sure if that was it or not. I'm a big horror fan. I got it free on PS Plus as well, but forgot. My PC broke and I took a really long break. Like over a year. In the meantime I tried Friday the 13th and other similar games. Then stuff from the forums here kept coming up on my Google news feed. I think maybe it was because I've done a lot of horror movie character searches. Everything I kept seeing made me want to play more and more. Especially the new characters. Then I remembered I had it on PS4. That was a few months ago and I got completely hooked again. Told myself I was going to learn as much as possible and really try to get better. So a lot of the credit I give to people here on the forums.

  • @Dolls said:

It just goes to show you some people just don't have the ability to really improve. I find it pathetic it took me so long to get to 7...

    Im always doing things..totems..generators

I don't like being chased and don't unhook often (cause everyone seems to svramble for it seems a waste of time to stop doing gens)

Anybody else strugglrle in ranks..like me?

I probably don't even have 100 hours on and just hit rank 6 yesterday. That doesn't prove anything though. Killer I can't get past green for the life of me. I stopped caring. The matchmaking doesn't care about rank,so why should I lol.

You shouldn't let it diminish your accomplishment though. I made a post the first time I hit purple for both. I quit for like a year and seeing the forums got me wanting to play again. I definitely improved. I'm not good at chases either. I sacrifice myself a lot of times if I think it helps the team.

I'm not sure if you are implying something...but I'll just say...yes "git gud" isn't always the best advice, lol. Eventually you are going to reach your peak, and there will still be people better than you. We wouldn't have pro players in anything if that wasn't true. But good job. Keep enjoying the game. I just try to learn something if I can. Watch videos or read stuff. It helps.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

I dont know if it helps - you dont have to survive. You just have to be alive when someone else is leaving, if you die afterwards, this does not matter.

So if someone else makes it out while you sacrifice yourself will give you the Rewards.

    That actually helps a lot,lol.

  • @Rivyn said:

You can't. SWF is a cash cow, and they may leave. Instead, just increase rewards for facing SWF.

I think that would be fair, and is a decent solution. Even just increase the BP a bit, which would even out what you would lose if it's a really good team with comms. I think that's more reasonable than a punishment and making people quit. I would say just at least let people know they are facing a SWF squad, but then people will just dodge the lobby.

  • @thrawn3054 said:

Was that the one where you need one person to leave before you while using Bond? If so, that one was a nightmare for me as well. In my case because my team just couldn't stay alive.

Yeah that's the one. Unfortunately I ran out of challenges I think that I can do. Only made it to Tier 40 on the Rift. Only have about 6 challenges left on all 3 levels, but some of them are just beyond my skill. I thought this one didn't sound too bad,but it's definitely not working out well. My Dwight sucks too. Don't have him levelled. Basically running him adept with self care lol.

Well I did say don't quote me on the 25 years :) I played SH2 on the PS2 and I remembering have to go to the library to print out some of those answers to puzzles lol

I didn't have internet until the Dreamcast came out,and had been out for awhile. My buddy was out shopping and found a strategy guide for the first one. We thought the puzzle had to do with the Zodiac. It did and didn't at the same time lol. It was a way easier solution than we ever dreamed of. Was like so simple it didn't even cross our minds. It's still a cool memory for me. Hopefully we'll see a new game soon. I'm happy we are getting this chapter.

3 gens still popped and he was applying pressure to 2 survivors and had corrupt intervention up. He didnt tunnel and still got ds'd and majorly outplayed the survivors multiple times but he loses because of gentime. He was even using enduring spirit fury. Some could argue ds was the reason for this because it slowed his momentum to a crawl when he got hit by it which mikey doesn't really have a lot of momentum compared to some killers anyway.

It's always sorta hard to gauge for me. As survivor it sure doesn't seem fast,as killer it feels like they go flying. I've also got many 4k's with only one gen left standing, and yesterday I got a 3k with the doors about to be open. There's too many factors. Quality of survivors being the main one. Then you have items and add ons. Map,perks, that particular killer. Some killers are way better at applying pressure, imo. Some can cover a lot of ground way quicker, like Freddy,Spirit,Oni,etc. I feel like maybe they could be just a few seconds slower, but that makes it worse for survivors, and I'm not a developer, lol. I just had a match where I sacrificed myself because my team couldn't get the last gen on with Oni.

  • I'm not even that good and escape more often than not. Killer I can do okay,or get absolutely destroyed. I have some of the same issues and frustrations, but I just try to push through. I was getting angry playing killer,so I switched to survivor for awhile. Then I tried a new killer. I just bought literally every chapter the past two months. I didn't have any of them. I try to do the challenges,or play in a way I normally wouldn't play. Or try to learn something. Just know that people hear you. Even the devs have to know by now. There's a post about matchmaking almost every single day. I hope it does improve, and I hope to see you back.

    Cheshire [BLEEPING] Cat.

Like... Idk what it is about this cat but he scares the living life out of me. If he came to DBD (which is highly unlikely) for an Alice and Wonderland chapter, I'd probably quit playing this game.

I sat here for over an hour and got nothing lol. I don't scare easily, and most of my life pretty much revolves around the horror genre. I've been watching the film's since I was like 5. The Preacher guy from Poltergeist 2 always scared me for some reason. But that's a horror film,so,yeah. I've actually got more scared playing certain games than I ever have with films, cartoons,or shows. Would be kinda cool if they did something from a comic. The Joker or something. Would love to see Evil Ernie, but he's way more obscure than even some of the far fetched suggestions I see, haha.

For both roles people seem to really dislike The Game and Lery's Memorial Institute, I have to say I really enjoy playing in both maps.

Yamaoka Estate probably my favorite for both. Least favorite for both is Hawkins by a mile. Haddonfield is probably my least favorite for killer, but thats common.

Welcoming all hot takes, unpopular opinions and tough questions. What streamers/youtubers do you find to be the most entertaining/skilled? My 2 favourites are Yerv and Otzdarva. Yerv is a great guy, he is funny and has a great community to talk with, along with entertaining gameplay. Otzdarva is amazing for guides and gameplay knowledge.

I'm not the biggest fan of any particular one..but I'd have to say Monto as far as entertainment value. Tru3 would be my next pick, but that's more from a learning perspective. To be honest, there's quite a few that have an abrasive personality,or use language I don't really find funny. There's one guy that does like breakdowns of matches and explains different mindgaming and missed opportunities, but I can't recall his name for some reason.

Exactly, thank you, I totally agree. These kids today don't understand that Pyramid Head is Iconic in the world of Horror. I believe Silent Hill 2 is 25 years this year? Don't quote on that but I played it on the PS2 WAYYYY BACK in the day. lol I liked the Silent Hill film I thought the guy who played Pyramid Head did a great job.

Hey,the original isn't even 25 years old, lol. It came out in like 98 or 99. I actually got it on launch day and got stuck on a puzzle at the very end for like a month. Same with my buddy. We were definitely over thinking it. Silent Hill 2 came out in 2001. So it'll be almost 20 years. Geez, you trying to say I'm old or something?! Haha.

But yes, Pyramid Head is easily the most iconic creature in all of horror gaming history. I can't even think of many that can compare. I guess maybe Nemesis would be the next closest thing, but he really didn't transend and resonate as much as Pyramid Head. I'd argue that Silent Hill is more iconic to the horror genre than some of the other suggestions, but that's just my opinion.

I've been a horror fan my entire life. They've included pretty much every slasher and killer from movies that have stood the test of time. It's really cool to see one from a horror game. Was beyond my expectations,so no complaints here at all. It probably wasn't easy for the devs, and I'm happy for them. There's always next time for the people who aren't excited.

So I know a lot of people love to play as a certain survivor or killer but some also like to mix it up.

For killer, I’d say I play as Michael the most. As I just find his ability and play style really fun. But I also play a lot of Legion, Pig, Clown, Huntress and Trapper. I’m trying to learn other killers because I don’t want to get used to playing a certain way and I feel like you should try every killer out at least once. I would love to master Nurse but I know it’s not going to be the easiest as I play on console. But I had a match the other day to test her abilities and I was surprised at how many blink hits I got, I just need to stick at it.

With survivors my most used female is Meg and my most used male is David. But I do tend to switch it up a lot as there’s so many I like. Once the new DLC drops I’ll be playing as Toblerone Head and Cheryl a lot.

I used to be strictly Claudette and Huntress. Then Feng and Doctor. But I didn't have any of the chapters purchased until like the past two months. Now I just kinda jump around

  • I'm not that good at either role being honest with myself. But I can make it to purple with survivor every time. I never make it past rank 6 though. Can't loop for anything, especially if the killer is half decent. Getting better depending on the map. Ive lost many times and have still been able to pip. Killer I can't get past the top green into the purple. I can completely destroy at times, and feel like I'm way better than myself,or other people, anticipate. Then sometimes I feel like I can't do anything.

Point being,I personally feel like it's harder to rank up with killer. You aren't getting that pip without some work. Sometimes you'll get an SWF,sometimes you'll get people that are better than you. The match can't go too fast,or too slow. Survivor you can just do a couple of gens, some bones,a save or two,and the outcome really doesn't matter. I stopped caring about rank awhile ago. If the matchmaking doesn't care, why should I,lol? I just kinda use it as a gauge after the match to see what I was up against.

  • I'm not sure anyone else did either, haha. I usually just assume people are being serious unless it's obvious.

I'm a red rank survivor, who plays this game a bit too much. I play on console, so I'm not the best, but I make do with what I have. After playing this game for a year and a half, for the longest time ruin was the biggest problem in the game. But even now, that perk is gone to an extent. Now, I face a new problem. No one escapes death is a ridiculous perk and at the very least should be a killer teachable. I cannot tell you how many times I have been sacrificed late game after doing everything in my power to save my teammates and do generators because no ed was on a rank 13 killers loadout. So not only does broken matchmaking stand out here, but no Ed is unlocked so quickly, that it just gets old at this point. I honestly go into every match expecting no ed now. It should be removed from the game, or it should be reworked so that it can be avoided (easier without having to bring a map and cleanse all the totems). D-pipping because I save my teammates and do generators but I didn't get out is ridiculous. Matchmaking is an entirely different discussion.

Always assume they have it. And if you didn't see the totem pop or pop it yourself, try to play a bit safer at the end. You don't have to save everyone. Sometimes you just can't. If the gens are done and he didn't come to the door, and he's camping the hook...you should probably either try to find the totem or just go.

Myself and plenty of other killers don't use it,for many reasons. I'd rather use the slot for something better. If you got the gens done,I've pretty much failed anyway. There's other perks that do the same sorta thing. Plus other killers that can down you in one hit,or outright kill you with the right situation. The only difference is that you had the illusion that you won when it happened.

When you depip, the match either went too quick or you didn't do enough. I'm not good by any means, and I usually safety, even if I think I'm not going to. Plenty of people have lost matches even, and pip'd up. I personally think it would be more fair if it only worked on one person, but then it wouldn't be much different from Rancor, making it pointless.

Yea, I saw that too. Maybe the other guy saw my thread and decided to created his. I created this one, because some guy uploaded a L4D fan made chase music for Witch today or yesterday and I thought it would be cool to have a killer from this game in Dbd.

    https://youtu.be/kWZCCzXCQG0

Oh I see. I dunno. I know what those creatures are and that's about it. I honestly didn't even know that's what Bill was from until a little bit ago. To me the creatures were more memorable than the characters. I was just wondering what the sudden interest was about lol. Thought maybe it was like the guy that keeps trying to get Frank from Dead Rising in. I like that guy, lol. You never know. I would've never guessed Pyramid Head was possible, with how things have been with Konami.

Actually, I was a rank 10 killer (and still am skill level wise) and it was tough getting just ONE rank 1 in my lobby due to matchmaking. It's simply unfair that killers are punished for a survivor's decision. If they decide to play with their friend, it is their decision that will cost their friend a possibly bad experience. It shouldn't be the other way around, seen as killers don't know if you're a swf or not and don't decide who is in their lobby.

    Make sense?

I think maybe one of those comments were meant to be directed at me,but I'm not sure, lol. I agree with you though.

So I played a game as Wraith and was doing quite well against my group of survivors when I went for a gen grab and was stuck in the animation for 2 minutes.

Sadly it was impossible to bounce back from that so I had to do my best to at least safety pip and decided to tunnel. I don't advocate that normally but they had a 2 minute free for all. I still managed a 2k and kept my Rank 1 so Im proud of that.

This survivor died at the end of the match and watched from the hook as his friends jumped into the hatch. Saltiness continued into post-game chat. Here's a snippet:

I like to stir the pot and didn't mind engaging in this conversation, but it's kind of amazing to see how tilted people can get playing DbD...even when thrown an unexpected and huge advantage.

Hm...if you were an actual God at the game, wouldn't you try to make a channel or something to make a few bucks? I sure would, lol. I really just try not to engage with people. I don't want things to escalate on either end. Better to just let it be. I don't like being accused of things I didn't do though. That does get to me sometimes. I got a message one time saying if I didn't camp this person I could've got a 4k. But I had no idea what they were talking about because I didn't and everyone escaped. Maybe got confused with another match,I dunno.

I would love to see a L4D chapter in the game. I am a huge L4D fan, so are the devs (every original survivor has L4D survivors clothes in their inventory). Bill is already in Dbd, but they can also add a killer. I think, that Tank, Witch or Hunter would be a great pick. Chapter could also include a map, like from "The Sacrifice" campaign. What do you think guys?

Someone else made almost the exact same thread today. They were talking about a killer from Left 4 Dead as well. Is this a new campaign or something? I can't really remember much from the two games to add any input on that front. Just found it curious there was two similar posts in one day. Are the games still pretty popular? I know mods for it were getting a lot of play at some point.

Survive with friends currently matches rank 1 players against rank 20 killers and it doesn't make any sense. These matches push new players out of both the killer role and the game as a whole. It would make far more sense for the survive with friends to match based on their highest ranked player. The killer doesn't choose to play in a survive with friends game, and yet they pay the price by playing against survivors far out of their league. Furthermore, the survive with friends team already has an advantage because they are likely talking through a voice chat.

Well,I'm not going to disagree. It does the exact same thing regardless of SWF. At first I heard it was supposed to be within 6 ranks. So if I'm a 10 I could get matched with a 4 or a 16. Now I'm hearing it was supposed to be within 8 ranks. So at 10 that's anywhere from a 2 to an 18. I haven't seen anything personally from the devs,so don't quote me on anything. That's just how I heard it was supposed to work. I just came back to the game in January or February and I was seeing red ranks as a rank 16 killer. I kind of just tried to push through. The only time I saw people all the same rank was when I played low rank survivor. Then all the survivors and killer were really close. They are going to do a new system, but I'm not sure how that'll look period, let alone for SWF.

When are you guys going to fix this? Its so bad the game is almost unplayable. You either get potatoes for team mates vs a good killer or you get a bad killer and good team mates. Ive been playing DBD for about 8 months now and its never been this bad. Its to the point where im forced to team up with a squad to fix my potatoe teammates problem and then just pray we get a decent killer.

As new killers find it frustrating to go against red rank survivors, its a 2 way street. Im tired of playing new killers game after game after game. Out of 10 games ill get maybe 2 red rank killers and the rest are almost always rank 20s. You cant tell me that there isnt any other killers searching between ranks 5-16? I mean the game is fun and you guys are always updating with new killers/survivors/maps ect... But can we get the basics down first? The game will be alot more enjoyable if i could play with people close to my skill level or at least know how to hit a skill check or loop the killer. It doesnt need to be perfect but it sure as hell could be alot better than it is right now. First 2 games of the day.

End of my rant and for the record im playing on xbox one.

Rank 10 and it just gave me a match against four rank 1s with two flashlights, all with Sprint Burst,BT,Dead Hard. I usually don't get mad,or care. I usually don't feel completely out matched or overwhelmed. I really did there. Scored maybe two hits the whole time, and couldn't keep any pressure on the gens. Saw afterwards they had insta heals. So I'm not sure what I could've done. I really tried. It's even worse when you get a team like that and they get to pick the map on top. If they weren't SWF they were easily the most coordinated team I've ever seen on this game without commms. I don't like the feeling that I'm being laughed it. Like yeah,I get that you are clicking your flashlight so I'll chase you,so your friend can finish the gen behind me. I'm not that stupid. I definitely got better than I was. Because the only advice I seemed to be getting was "git gud". At least more people are saying it's an issue now.

There is no lack of Killers. The Queue Times for Survivors went up immediatly after they changed how SWF-Matchmaking worked.

Also, at least in my Region, it really depends on what time of the day I am playing. Morning till Afternoon-->I have to wait 5+ minutes for Killer Lobbies (gets better over the day) and have instant Survivor Queues. Only in the evening I have to wait 2-4 minutes for Survivor and have instant Killer queues.

Depends on region and platform. And we actually have no way of knowing anyway. Just saying I don't think that's true, not that I know for sure. A lot of people sure don't seem to like playing killer much,so I just assumed. Queue's were pretty even when I was on PC. On PS4 killer is near instant no matter the time of day or rank, and survivor takes forever no matter the time of day or rank, with low rank being slightly faster. Regardless I don't think that's the reason. That they don't want people to play killer because there's less survivors. I probably shouldn't have stated it as a fact. Was more a hypothesis from things I've seen around the forums and such.

  • @NinjaDette1 said:

During a match I was thinking about something that came to me while I was downed and crawling.Should survivors have a pull down pallet option?.I mean the killer would still be able to take advantage of you when downed crawling. But should we be able to slow them down temporarily?.I know when injured we can’t crawl away faster but I also thought when we are hit by a killer to down a survivor should it take more then one hit to make a survivor go down especially when trying to go over a pallet?.

I mean that's a pallet someone could've used to save you. Or a pallet that could save someone else in a chase. I just think there's not enough payoff to make it worth it.

None. At all. I have two to P2 and that's it. My circumstances are a bit different though.

  • @Actionjacksn said:

They want us to play survivor because the lack of survivor players in the game.

I don't think that's true. Just look at queue times. The whole matchmaking thing was to make times quicker because of a lack of killers. It pretty much ignores rank in favor of speed. If anything I'd say there are more survivors, therefore more reason to focus on them.

  • @MrCookie said:

The difference in difficulty on the challenges within one level doesn't make any sense.

"Seizing discord" is just ridiculous. Grabs are butchered and fail most of the time (and haven't been fixed for months!). Not to mention you can really do this only with Ghostface or Myers. If it was just 1 grab or 2 grabs not within one game it would be fine. So it feels impossible unless you farm with survivors. At the same time we have "Rust & Blood" which is extremely easy to finish

Sing another day - why is this kate's special? And why the struggle face requirement? And then we have "Engineer's Elegy" Where you can just touch every gen for 1 sec and die.

Tome 1 and Tome 2 lvl 3 master challenges were all on the same level of difficulty (except "No one Escapes the Endgame").

I think Tome 1 just had the hardest challenges period, imo. I kinda feel like a lot of the regular ones even vary like that. You have "disturb 20 crows" all the way up to hooking multiple people in the basement in the same match. So I don't really disagree, but I'd say all the challenges vary wildly in difficulty, not just the master ones on this level. Some I look at and just know I'm not going to be able to do. I don't have every perk on every character either. I just bought like more than half this month. I got stuck on a challenge and decided Kate's would be easier so I bought her. Seizing Discord is pretty ridiculous. I never get a gen grab even when I'm sure I'm supposed to. It like starts the animation, and they either pop up like nothing happened,or they get injured out of nowhere. Usually the first one. I'd say all of them are pretty crazy and you just happen to have 1 or 2 that are easy. Or you have to get lucky. Feral Carnage for example. Or Thorough Cleansing.

I don't know about how they classify a game but we'll, at least in my country this game is 18+, but all other games that is 18+ have explicit content, DBD is a way far from this so why it is not classified as a 14+ or 16+ game. Also I want to apologise for my bad English, that's because I am pretty tired right now so I can't think properly

That has to do with the ratings board, which also has to do with the morals and standards of that particular country. In North America M for Mature is 17+ The only category above that is AO, for Adults Only, which is extremely rare, and almost guarantees your game won't be able to be sold in physically in stores,or on any of the major consoles digital stores. Most companies would rather make cuts the the game or just not release it in that region. I can only think of one AO game in the past like two decades that was released on any major platform. The others were all for old CD based consoles back in the day,and were basically pornography. I would assume in this case it's for violence,or maybe even just the overall theme. The US seems quite a bit more lenient towards violence in games when it comes to ratings. Especially compared to somewhere like Japan. They are almost like the opposite.

The entire purpose of moris was to implement a cool killing animation for each killer into the game. The purpose of moris was not to give you an advantage. Now that we have perks like Rancor and Devour Hope, I don't see a purpose for moris in the game. And if we delete moris, then killer rank will be more accurate since some killers won't be boosted by overpowered offerings. Moris are annoying, because they unfairly rob you of your chances to escape. There are lots of times I would've escaped a trial if not for a killer's Ebony Mori. If Mori offerings were to stay in the game, then they should only let you kill people on death hook to keep the imbalance to a minimum.

Rancor let's you kill one person at the very end of the match. And Devour Hope is pretty difficult to pull off without it being cancelled. So it's not really a substitute for a Mori that can completely change the flow of the game. If you are coming from a perspective of it's a just a way to see the killing animation, you have to remember not every person is going to have every perk on every killer. I really don't see them that often to make a difference. The Ebony is the only one I'd argue gives you a real advantage. And you don't exactly have the ability to use them every single match.

  • What? I thought it wasn't? I thought it was part of the UK,but apparently from a search that's just Northern Ireland.

It definitely was! I remember the first time the school changed after walking through the clock tower. Knowing nothing about the game, I thought I was going to come up during World War 2. When the new decor was on display at the other end, I genuinely got the feeling that there was something "wrong" with the game. Like a creepypasta tale made real! I'll never forget that moment, and how it helped my love for this series.

I went straight from the NES to the PlayStation with nothing in between. I've been a massive horror fan since I was literally 5 years old. So you can imagine what seeing a game like Resident Evil, and then Silent Hill, was like for me. Final Fantasy VII was the game that like solidified my gamer status. Resident Evil and Silent Hill sealed the deal. I've played so many horror games it's crazy, but I always go back to those. I really liked the bathroom scene from Silent Hill 3. I remember that scaring me for some reason lol.

Best to run past them, if possible? If there is just one, get yer pipe out and measure a heavy hit each time until it falls.

If there's two or more, and there is no way round, choose the one most alone, blast it down, stomp and run. It's not that there's a low supply of ammo, but when one grabs you, the others are unrelenting!

Yes,run past. I don't think I've ever attempted to fight one in all the times I've played the game. Bought the original on launch day and then me and my buddy got stuck on a puzzle at the very very end because we were over thinking it. For at least a month. Plus no internet. Or maybe didn't think to even look on the internet because it wasn't as widely used. Sorry I got a bit off topic. Was a good memory for me. Don't think I'll ever forget it. Game was pretty incredible at the time. Still holds up pretty well now compared to others.

The problem im running into that as a rank 12 killer or rank 15 survivor im getting way to high ranked killers/survivors. In 1 game I had 2 rank 1 survivors as killer. Im not one to walk away from a challange because thats the main way I learn to get better. But when playing vs very high skilled players I dont feel motivated to become better or learn from the experience I just get very very frustrated and dont wanna play anymore.

Bit of a ramble but this is my feedback though, get a better and more welcomming experience for new players. Yes you learn from better players, but with a huge skill gap you just get frustrated.

Also are you on console or PC?

Aw feelsbad. I hope to switch to Pc eventually. I know gameplay is alot more fluid on there.

The game was completely different when I played. I took like a year long break, was dying to play, then realized I had got it for free on PS4. Started again like January. I bought all the DLC chapters which I had none of on either. So now I'm pretty much stuck on PS4 unless they come up with some cross progression/transfer system. I put too much into it. Also I forgot I turned messaging off because people are mean. They would even send friend requests with mean messages attached to get around it. It's a nice sentiment though. Not everyone is out to be a jerk.

S: Doc is my main, and I think he's strong and he can use a lot of different perks and has add-ons that aren't just cooldown and recovery. Freddy's freddy. Spirit is strong, but I've only seen a few great spirits on Xbox.

A: Honestly A and B can be swapped depending on perks and add-on chooses as well as skill ceiling. I definitely think hag and Oni are 4 and 5.

B: Pyramid Head would be at the top of B imo. Nurse is low B because most nurses on stick are easy to dodge/juke. Yes there may be nurse mains on console but very few. Huntress is in the same boat.

C: killers that are left that weren't clown and legion. They are also very add-on dependant.

D: clown and legion of course.

I have 1k hours on console mostly as killer. I've played every killer a decent amount and I think this list is pretty accurate power level. Of course you have "mains" and builds that move power levels. As I said A and B are flexible. I'd like to hear any differences you guys may have, remember this is a console their list.

I'd swap Demo for Wraith. Other than that I'd agree about 98%. I'd probably move Legion up one and Myers down one,but that's just depending on map. Deathslinger I feel is completely worthless. Same with Nurse. But that's more a learning curve thing than a power thing. They can be deadly in the right hands.

  • I don't have any :'( I only got one GG one time. Kinda disappointed. I appreciate the sentiment though. Kinda funny I play on both but it's my PC that's broken, lol.
