  • Currently amount of content you have to unlock and slowness of progressing it can easily scare away a lot of new unprepared players.

A lot of veteran players was started this game years ago, when there was half less of what we have now. We got to grind it as new content arrived. So for veteran players grind may seem acceptable.

Devs are also veterans, so they don't see much of a problem. But new players have a years to grind.

Reducing grind would be nothing but win.

  • As killer I never tunnel because of trying hard or ruining survivor expirience.

I can tunnel if I don't see any other option. For expample, if I get back to hook and only survivor I see is one that was recetnly have been hooked.

I always go for closer target or target that have gone to dead zone. Sometimes it's a recently unhooked person.

I don't ignore unhooked survivor just to make myself look good in survivor's eyes. I can chase recently unhooked survivor if I need to. But it's never my primary goal to tunnel someone out of the game as soon as possible. I will chase whoever I find and I don't care about who was hooked last.

If I tunnel you... well, unlucky. But it's not because I don't respect you. You may leave a -rep in my steam profile if it make you feel better.

  • I enjoy playing killer. Even if I lose I know it's my fault and I deserve it.

When I lose as survivor it's most of the time because of teammates. I'm not a good looper, so I often end up on hook. Random teammates are rarely decent. Most of the time they are so braindead, I can't enjoy it a bit. I understand if they don't know how to loop or wasting pallets because they freaked out. But I hate when they can't find a ######### gen, or they just waste their hook stage because game going too hard for them. Playing solo survivor is nearly impossible to enjoy. I never mad at killers that camp or tunnel. They just insecure of they can win a fair game. But fellow survivors make me hate them way too much.

  • You probably ignore them when they trying to bodyblock. This is very wrong way to deal with it. You should take every free hit they give you and you'll be fine.

When survivor bodiblocking the hook, you just need to hit him once and he will lose his hitbox allowing you to hook. If injured survivor trying to bodiblock, then wait it out a little, because he probably have dead hard.

If it's multiple survivors blocking you, then just give them free hits. Even if you lose your grab, you still give them 2-3 free hits which is good. If you catch someone before they manage to heal up, they won't block you again.

And if it is a frequent problem for you, you probably need to unlock starstruck.

  • What is the difference if you trigger trap under hook or somewhere near hook? That change would make you couch earlier if you don't want to trigger a trap. But if you rush to unhook, that change make no difference because hag will just teleport and interrupt you as before.

  • I've seen @C3Tooth doing nice dbd themed arts around here.

  • Most killers can't slug 4 survivors right off the bat. You need hit 4 people 2 times. Killer needs to have someone around when he down survivor to quickly switch target. Otherwise killer would just waste time searching for survivors while downed one get picked up.

But if survivors decided to stay injured and group in one place, any killer can slug them there. Maybe my opinion will be unpopular, but it's survivors' fault they let it happen. So most of the time there is no toxicity from killer, he just use the opportunity that survivors give him.

OK, you have a good point, BUT there is also an easy fix, just make the health drop extremely slow.

Actually NO, if they are just camping and the health isn't drooping, what ya gonna do, it doesn't hurt the survivor, and they can just be on the hook, the killer can stand there it doesn't do anything, when he leaves, the survivor has a chance to be unhooked, if the killer camps and by your words hold hostage, then 3 survivors are just doing gens and then 3 of them leave and the killer gets only 1 kill and less points, the killer starts running around he gets more hooks can get more kills and in the end more points, so your comment is dumb.

Yes, ideally it can be countered by doing gens. But what if survivors not doing gens and hiding around hook waiting killer go away. They know they have all the time in the world because killer camping and there is no urgency to save you, so they doing totems, searching chests and pointing at killer. Game is literally paused here. Your only options are wait someone act or just suicide the ######### out.

Hook timer going down for a reason to make pressure on survivors. You have to make a choise between finishing gens or save a teammate in exchange for your hook stage. If timer was paused, you could just give 0 ######### about gens and teabag that camping ######### from safe distance.

  • My Doc have a meme build that makes healing take forever.

But my favorite way to meme was spamming roar in ambush mode as Pig. Not anymore because devs implemented stupid delay between roars.

  • @shalo said:

If you teabag me I stop, I'll check instagram or watch youtube and you will get no chases, no unhooks, and no heals.

That is legendary level of giving up. Do you ever play to the end?

  • Anyway devs won't make health on hook stop, because it can cause holding a hostage.

  • Would you accept that if killer won't camp, your health go down 2 times faster for exchange?

  • Last anniversary was a great bloodpoint boost. So much people bringing bloodpoint offerings. It sometimes make you earn more than 150k in one trial. Last year I maxed out Deathslinger p3-50 with all perks.

  • @cherryblossom said:

I'm really excited too, cause I couldn't get the crown last year. Do you know if there will be more than one crown in a match? Like if someone already took it will a new one spawn?

I believe it's one crown at once, but several in one trial. I don't really remember how it was last year. But I remember it was spawn randomly for a while and then respawn somwhere else on the map, if no one grab it.

  • Oh, right, it's 1-15 July. I thought it's June as well.

  • Or keep it forever but replace grunts of pain with breathing slightly louder than healthy breathing.

Currently Iron Will make injured survivors absolutely silent. This is completely unfair.

  • Nurse. Her fatigues are so annoying make me stay away from learning her. So I get easily outplayed when I try.

Executioner. I often get carried away with his ranged attacks. Just spamming and missing over and over.

Blight. Don't really like his power. And I get lost or unintentionally bump into ######### very easily.

Deathslinger. Missing shots too much, but I don't mind to learn him.

Plague. I don't really know what I'm doing wrong, but I heard she is strong killer.

  • I not main Hag but I found effective way to play her. When match start you just set a trap. Then you go looking for survivors and every ~15 meters you place a random trap. So when you find your first victim you will already have some set up.

I think early game on Hag not as important as for Trapper. Hag's traps always available in stock and you place it relatively fast while walking around, so you don't really need corrupt on Hag.

When can we expect nerfs for Deathslinger or Spirit so I can stop killing my self on the hook and actually play both without feeling like I 4ked without having to try? Not bait cause I actually enjoy versing Nurse cause she actually has counterplay.

So you constantly 4k as Deathslinger without having a try? How you manage to do it in time? Are you using 4 slowdown perks?

  • I like to get nice messages.

Most of the time I go with gg, and wp if it was a nice match. But if survivors really impress me somehow (which is rare unfortunately) I can leave some nice words in post game chat and their steam profile.

  • @4eyed said:

You can store main event for a minute or two

Kicking pallets doors and windows pauses the frenzy meter maybe even increasing it with add ons and makes you move faster

You can't break pallet while in frenzy. You just vault it.

  • I use mori after nerf just to waste it from inventory. Old mori felt like cheap win so I didn't used it back then.

Current mori are completely fine to me and I'm really curious what devs planning to it.

  • It's funny how he carrying survivor. And his punches feels so much fun when you down survivor.

  • If you want to do that, listen to Otz or someone of knowledge and playtime. And play your own killers before you even think of PTBing them, actually play them.

Otz doesn't have an issue with toxicity. He being wholesome in post game chat even if he slugged whole team to win. And survivors really rarely being upset in his post game chat.

  • When I read comments below pride charm code yesterday, I've only seen enthusiasm, supportive commentary and irony about getting tunneled. Probably hate speech getting moderated quickly, or we were reading different twitters.

  • This thread helped me get my opinion about this situation.

I don't want sound like homophobic but I don't like any idea of pride of being someone.

Personally I don't judge people for who they are. I judge people for what they do.

I don't respect gay people just for them being gay. For me it's just an another person. I respect gay if he talented artist or smart engineer. I would respect gay just for being nice person.

But I don't understand being proud of sexuality. It's not something you achieved. It's just your personality, there is nothing to be proud of.

I don't like an idea of being proud of something you born with. Like your race, your sexuality, your gender.

I understand why there is minorities doing their movements. They just want their voices heard. They being oppressed and they struggle for their rights. But this pride thing make negative impression on me.

I treat all people as equal. Minorities or majorities. But it's only their actions would make me hate or respect them.

  • If it's true about Japaneese players never give up then I respect it a lot. I'm not a good player myself, but I always playing to the end even if game going by worst scenario. Probably if I played in Japan I would never get to red ranks, but I absolutely respect such devotion.

  • They probably choose bold font to make it more recognisable on thumbnails.

I think it's fine and we just need to get used to it. I doubt you all would be upset if this font was there from 2016.

Pandora's box has been opened: when that happen then i want a germany flag and a kurdish flag i mean what is the problem ? xD do all flags in the world

Problem is it's over 200 flags. So devs should find a way to ergonomically store them in inventory.

  • First thought it was a rocket league font.

    puF76QS[1].png

  • I used her to get rank 1 killer achievement. Since then I play her just for dailies.

I rarely play survivor and I don't mind playing against her.

  • Remember Stranger Things release? It caused a stereotype about all Nancy players are completely stupid. I expect comething similar happen with Resident Evil chapter.

    Which one?

Charlotte apparently. He saying she made him ragequit.

  • I get it as Doctor when survivors did me a favor waiting me at the gates with their teabags.

Wasn't this in a tome a long time back though? I know average wait is 6 months but I'm pretty sure it's been longer than that and ive been playing since August last year

Devs said that it at least 6 months before it get to the store. But it also means it can take more time.

  • It will appear in the store eventually.

  • But I looking for new weapons. I like to have smaller models of weapon that not cover 1/3 of the screen.

  • Don't really care about skins. I can't appreciate it during gameplay.

I play killer because I don't like playing as survivor.

  • All I want for her ambush attack is faster roar spam. I quit playing pig because of this stupid delay. It's so unfun.

  • Adrenaline is survivor's version of NOED. Both perks are fine and you have a right to use it. But if you despise noed, running adrenaline is kinda hypocrite in that case.

  • You can hear loud footsteps when he approaching. I remember I bodyblocked Laurie with old OoO. She was looking in my direction and get blocked anyway. You just need to pay more attention and you will be fine.

  • @Mister_xD said:

clearly they have no idea what they are talking about.

    that Perk build is worthless!

and all because of ONE Perk...

honestly, just replace Babysitter with Solidarity and you got a great build smh my head

I disagree. Babysitter is great with this build, because it shows the killer where you are. It helps your team buy the time because you get killer's attention and loop him around with this great build.

Best part of this build, it counters noed, devour hope and other instadown abilities. Imagine how mad killers will be when they figure that their perks and power are useless.

  • I prefer Sprint Burst because it is the best antitunneling perk. It also helps to get more progress on gen when killer approaching and get away with it.

I rarely played with Dead Hard so I didn't get used to it. But as killer I find this perk useless on my opponents in 80% of cases. It only works when they need to get extra distance to vault or pallet. But all the rest of cases I wait it out, or they dead hard into a wall, or they get exhaustion on the ground. And I never fall to their trick when they turn around and dead hard trough me.

  • I see a lot of nice people in game, but when I play against them again in couple of days I never remember their names. But they recognise me in post game chat. They going like Hey! It's you! We played yesterday! And I often have hard time to remember them.

It's probably because I have a memorable nickname.

  • All this challenges is better complete while everyone doing it on release. There is a bigger chance to get a sympathetic opponent that can help with challenge. For example as Killer I helped a lot of Dwights that wanted to hide in my terror radius. And then I found a killer that help me with this challenge.

Finishing 4 gens in one trial I completed because I got lucky matched with teammates doing same challenge. So we helped each other without any communication.

When rift is closed, it's harder to find such help.

  • If it's problem you can adjust your build around exhaustion. Run Blood Echo if you often keep survivors injured. Or run Mindbreaker to pause their exhaustion timers while they repairing a gen.

This perks not considered as op because it's situational and killers don't have much problems with exhaustion perks to waste a perk slot on it, but it can probably help you. If you have problem with Dead Hards so often, it probably worth a try.

  • Sometimes you can encounter a low skill bully squads on low ranks. It feels so good to destroy them. They smurfing back expecting an easy games but get a hardcore rank 1 killer that so ready to all their stupid #########.

  • You can use perk Built to Last. It's Felix Richter's teachable. With this perk you can deplete one toolbox twice.

  • Well, you should try to play doctor yourself to figure his weaknesses.

You really think he is an SS tier killer that never lose?

Yea, you didn’t read the OP properly at all. I gave an example. How can I ruin a game for others when I was the only one working towards an objective, got farmed, then killed out the game?? What’s the point of staying in a game to get farmed by players who aren’t doing anything?? I am truly baffled by your thought process. Is this what you do? Farm people and expect them to just accept it so you can have points?? Thats selfish and you’re ruining the game for those getting hooked.

My post was a reply to your later responds saying that you want to suicide wathcing teammates crouching and skipping two skillchecks isn't fast enough to end it.

And reworking struggle has 2 good points. 1 - you don't have to mash space. It actually could hurt your palm. 2 - you don't leave your teammates because you salty.

So much selfish bastards ruined my game while I was doing gens and waiting for better chance to save. Countless amount of my survivor games was ruined by people like you. You're no different from survivors that don't want to play against 23 certain killers because it's too hard. I am the teammate who actually try, and you would easily leave me behind with your mentality. And I'm sure you did leave a lot of teammates who wanted to play a normal game, but hey didn't perform good enough for you.

I understand your point perfectly. You don't want old struggle mechanic back. You just want better teammates for easier games. But you always feeling free to become the worst teammate yourself by leaving your team.
