That way killers can decide if they want to torture themselves against a group with a massive unfair advantage they can't counter.
Of course I know what SWF mains will say: "If you did that, no Killer would every play against a SWF!". Gee, it's almost like SWFS AREN'T FUN TO PLAY AGAINST'.
From a different perspective I actually wish it told killer which survivors are SWF solely cause killers treat me and the randoms I get matched with as a SWF when in reality it’s just 4 good survivors. Getting blead out just cause the killer thinks I’m in a SWF is annoying and happens far too often
-
It’s only bad for killer if you go downstairs into the dungeon. If you remain up top you have a 4 gen and most times the RNG is horrible for survivor cause there’s barely any loops most of the time. Map already needs a rework

Because they whined about me not playing along in post game chat.
So go complain to your therapist not us 🤣
-
No one reading all that if it pertains to Skull Merchant 🤣
-
The Unknown while not OP (Nurse) is definitely still broken and too oppressive and I’d say his range attack should be nerfed and his teleport should be buffed
-
I don’t see why this would hinder you in anyway….walk away from the hook? Bruh
-
I love Artist’ TR cause it for some reason reminds me of Jaws like she’s lurking
-
For anyone wondering, there’s no progress bars for anything in this mode so it tricks you into thinking the map doesn’t work since it doesn’t start showing the auras until the bar hits 100%
-
Otz made a suggestion years ago but he’s seem to have forgotten that suggestion. I remember it to make her like Oni somewhat. Starts out normal movement speed like 115 killers but can’t blink and has to acquire something like blood to charge up her blinks. Then once she enters normal Nurse mode she can blink like normal but is back to default Nurse speed. And then eventually she runs out. Therefor basekit Nurse is still there but dialed back so she’s not able to literally 4k slug at 5 gens every match.
-
Idk I started playing this game thinking it would be like actual slasher movies where the killers/murderers always lose. It’s now 2023 and for some reason we want killers to win most of the time. I don’t think that’s what made slasher movies great. Kinda boring if the killer always wins.
-
Nah the less Pyramid Head players the better

Was wondering when this started. Haven’t seen anyone mention anything on it.
Played a handfull of matches since early August and was anticipating hopping back on for some wintery Bone Chilling DBD.
Can’t be toooo bad tho, right?
Everyone is sweating extra hard for some reason and I have no idea why. It’s like what’s the point? And I say this as someone who has waaaay too many hours and plays both sides
-
When you remove the ability to loop killers who’s powers negate looping you end up with holding W and pre drops and since killer is more fun since every survivor match my teammates suck, killer players have now successfully ruined me playing killer like they ruined me playing survivor. Killers ruined both roles and now I play other games as well and DBD a little less. Congrats killer mains

Try Now, it seems to have been fixed in the Xeno update.
Note you don't have to reunite with 2 survivors at the same time, you need to reunite with 2 injured survivors throughout the match, and you need to heal 1 complete health state.
A save off off hook and a full heal, them meeting an injured survivor later is sufficient for it to pop
Can confirm it still doesn’t work even with trying your suggestion. No matter how many times I meet with injured survivors (even 2 at the same time with me) and healing more than a single health state and still no progress. Yes I’m playing Haddie with Inner Focus on. Does using a medkit negate it?

DBD is moving away from horror and more into something action-based with horror elements.
I personally feel the last four chapters didn't really have a horror feel to them at all, sure there are some grotesque elements and gore as usual, but nothing really scary or unsettling. I'm not saying the art of these chapters was poor, far from it, their aesthetics and sound design are excellent.
But the game now feels like four heroes working together to take down a bully and escape rather than four victims attempting to survive being hunted by a force of evil.
Wesker was the start of this shift and I believe that voicelines are where the death of immersion starts and that once you open that door you can't close it. And now with Nicholas taunting killers mid-chase, I feel like any horror immersion is now officially gone.
Combine this with gameplay elements favoring interaction over evasion and new content being designed with competitive gameplay in mind and it makes me think the shift is intentional as it broadens the amount of content that can be brought to the game.
Example being something like Terminator would fit right in with the current roster while being a choice that wouldn't have made a lot of sense in the early years of the game.
Do I think its a bad thing? Not at all, but it is different and I definitely think going forward the devs should be careful of the "coolness" factor. Too much becomes tacky and cheesy really fast.
Closing note is that I believe the Dredge is the perfect killer, every aspect of their design is beautifully horrific. I still get chills hearing the screaming and crying during Nightfall and the amount of chaos their power causes is how I feel like DBD should be if it wanted to be true to its horror roots.
What's the consensus on this? How do you guys feel about DBD's current thematic direction?
Idk if you’ve ever seen a horror movie or played another horror game but spoiler alert, there’s voice lines in those too
-
Well considering you said “don’t go well on this killer it’s different than on this other killer” I don’t think anyone wants to have this conversation with you since you don’t seem to get that makes a difference on the question you asked 🙃
-
Ive said it countless times and I’ll say it again. Give. Me. Your. Matches. All I ever get is Nurse, Blight, Skull Merchant, Blight, Legion, Clown. I maybe get one Wesker a day and sometimes not at all. It’s really unfair that y’all get him this much

I had one adam free himself and it seemed like a ds. But he didnt had the perk. Now im curious if it was a cheater (seemed legit otherwise) or if the endscreen loadout was wrong? Maybe something with the random perk challenge?
And just to be clear: no it wasnt something else like power struggle. He had We'll make it, Up the Ante, BL and lightweight. Two other survivor where hooked and the third 5m before me.
There still is a bug where as soon as you pick up the survivor they instantly break free. It only happens if the survivor you picked up before broke free from wiggling by any means. Not sure if it always happens cause it’s kinda rare but still an issue.

Wow, I thought we had a new killer and anniversary to celebrate. Nope. Thanks to Wesker being brought back all we get us the Wesker anniversary instead. I've seen the new killer once and Wesker non stop. Fun.
Every single person who keeps complaining about getting Wesker are either lying or the luckiest in the world cause all I ever get are Nurses, Blights, Spirits and Huntress’. I would kill to get some Wesker’s in my matches

If not then why are survivors so obsessed with doing generators? 1-2 hooks and gg 3 or 4 man escaped.. no fun no chase just boring pressing repair button and press a button a few times to hit skillchecks thats it. they have toggle repair they dont even have to hold the repair button. how can you not get bored?
Why are killers obsessed with survivors? No fun in chase, just boring kill, kill, kill. Stop doing your objective and let’s have some fun s/

None of this matters cause the only correct answer is a Blood Rush event

guess i should have prefaced that i play knight and Phead so deadhard is basically a free speed boost against my powers
You can’t say DH was a buff and not a nerf when old DH worked against Trapper’s, Nurse’s, Huntress’ and Deathslinger’s power and then try to counter those facts by saying you play X killers. That’s basically backpedaling on the fact that you know deep down it’s a nerf to some killers but not the ones you play. Basically it is a nerf but just not a strong enough nerf. By you saying it was a buff you’re losing your argument on why DH needs to be nerfed again or reworked.
-
While you all might hate this I’m actually happy this is happening cause like 85% of my survivor and killer matches have been RPD nonstop and I’m ready to lose my ######### mind
-
Idk I still see all my matches as a solo Q survivor end in a loss like 65% of the time cause no amount of hand holding helps my brain dead teammates. You clearly are not experienced at killer if you’re struggling to get kills just cause “survivor Ui Hud go brrrr”
-
The audacity of how you’re all hypocrites in saying I can’t play how I want (I’ll let the killer kill me if it’s a Nurse) but then wanna act like YALL can tell me how to play. I paid for the game and can’t play my way but you think you get the right to tell me how to play? Sounds just as childish if you ask me

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/334351/lets-have-an-actual-discussion-about-nurse
Every time I see people discuss playing against nurse I think most of them forget that there is more than one way to play dead by daylight besides doing everything in front of the killers face and trying to take chases, dbd started out as a stealth based game with "limited resources" (before they learned how much these could be stretched out)
Sure you can't play against nurse exactly like you would against every single other killer in the game but just use stealth, don't take chases, and complete objectives, dbd isn't exactly a pvp game for the survivors you don't win by interacting with the other side as survivor you win by objectives
”Stealth” Yet a lot use Infectious, BBQ, Scourge Hook: Floods of Rage, Bitter Murmur, I’m All Ears and soon Wesker’s new perk to make Starstruck even stronger. Plus good nurses know how to find hiding survivors anyway

Neither did Freddy or Hillbilly or even Deathslinger.
All of these killers went through so much for no reason even though they were fine as they were.
I mean if you think Freddy didn’t need a change that I’m down to revert him cause he’s so weak as of Freddy. Billy needs the cooldown removed cause it was unnecessary for such a fun killer. Deathslinger on the other hand was broken with the quick scope but I’d be down give him his small terror radius back as compensation
-
Here I was hoping everyone would come together for once by thinking about what I'm trying to do (not bait or that god awful word troll) but to make the game enjoyable for everyone but it always boils down to survivor mains and killer mains attacking each other instead of brainstorming and talking it out. Hence why any ideas I'd introduce would be meaningless.

Every toolbox has their item efficiency decreased by 50% while sabotaging a hook, and I'm pretty sure it has been this way since 3.6.0 when they nerfed/reworked the toolboxes.
But that’s not what he’s referring to. Now when you use it turns red and gets used up faster as if the killer is running Overwhelming Presence. I used to be able to sabo 4 hooks after they reworked toolboxes. Now it’s only like 2 hooks unless you use charge add ons.

How? The Antidote for Clown gives a speed increase, not a speed decrease... I don't think you read my post properly lul
-
I will continue to kill myself on hook until Spirit is changed. Her power has no place for this game and the amount of times I've had teammates dc or kill themselves on hook and I still proceeded to try... Yea no its kill myself on hook or change. Nothing else will stop me and it isn't being selfish if my skill set as a survivor means nothing when I'm getting chased by a Spirit. That's unfair.

I'm honestly surprised you guys even try with the community anymore, but I'm always happy to see a new manager face.
It’s cause they either don’t listen or take months to years before they finally listen. Look how long it took for moris and DS to be rightfully changed. Video games with even smaller teams make these kind of changes way faster

@Nos37 said:
If the killer hooks a survivor and doesn't see any survivor auras, they assume it's unlikely that the other 3 are hiding in lockers and they know to camp the hook.
After an unhook, if the killer chases and downs the savior, they can use the BBQ aura to find the injured (recently unhooked) survivor, and better tunnel them out of the game (ping-pong-ing between two survivors to avoid DS).
----
BBQ & Chili should reveal survivors' locations instead of showing auras.
- This doesn't tell the killer which survivor is the recently-unhooked one, so that they can't then proceed to tunnel them out efficiently
- This doesn't let survivors just hide in lockers the whole match at every hooking event to avoid the killer completely
- This doesn't feed the killer way too much info about what each survivor is doing (cleansing, healing, repairing, climbing in/out of a locker, looting the basement chest)
- This doesn't let mobile killers like Hillbilly and Oni home-in on distant moving targets
- This better balances the perk
- This promotes the survivor-killer interactions the devs aim to see more of by weakining locker stealth
- The survivors can still juke the killer, and have a better chance to do so because their direction cannot be interpreted on the fly
Please stop giving the killer free wallhacks that only tells them when to camp and whom to tunnel.
This is not always true. Seeing survivor auras have been very weird for the the past like 8 patches. Sometimes you can’t even see them on gens with it and sometimes you can see a survivor through a generator in general (meaning at any point in the game and not from using BBQ) Plus if the killer camps then slam the gens and it’s an easy win for you and depip for the killer

@sp00py said:
They would probably lose money doing that. People would only be playing customs and not the actual games (if you have friends).
That’s a very big stretch and the chances of this happening is less than 1%. Majority of people who play this game play solo survivor cause their friends don’t play DBD, don’t play video games or can only play DBD sometimes. There will never be a possibility of custom getting more players unless they were to add 2v8 into custom and even then it’s still not enough to pull people out of public matches. These are facts. Sorry not sorry

@CustomerService said:
Whether or not you used DS before, the fact someone in your team was carrying it put some pressure on the killer, with the idea that maybe someone had it slotted. Now, with the perk being completely pointless and useless, there's nothing standing in the way especially for higher tier killers. You will get tunneled out of the game within 1 minute of the match. I'm already seeing it happen.
Four matches in a row, 2 Tricksters, 1 Spirit and 1 Nurse, somebody was tunneled out of the game with 5-4 generators left.
And no, Borrowed Time doesn't fix this. Having to rely on other people carrying a perk just so you can play the game, when people literally farmed each other without anything even when the DS anihilation hadn't gone through, that's not going to help in the slightest.
So, the question is now, what are you going to do to allow people to play the game?
How about you....use decisive strike you prevent tunneling? Lmfaooo. Or how about you don’t go down and get defeated by someone better than you? If you got down in the first place then you deserved to be hooked lmao
-
I found this out today while playing survivor. Not only does it prevent the killer from going through it but survivor also can’t go through it. So basically the pallet is still there for both sides for a few seconds but eventually the collision does disappear.

Redhead's Pinky Finger was always an extremely powerful add-on that was held back by the simple fact that the clown sucked, big time. However, now that the clown is actually usable I decided to try the add-on again and after several matches, I can confidently say that this add-on can rival the Iri head+infantry belt combo. Back in the day if the clown missed all his bottles he would have to endure an extremely long reload time, however now his reload is very short so he can do it during a chase and still be after you, and even if you manage to get a distance away from him now he has a second power that gives him the speed to close the gap again.
One change I thought about is maybe making the insta down mechanic only work if you hit the survivor with the antidote bottle, that way a survivor can use the speed boost gained to build some distance if you miss your shot. Maybe it would also make it so the speed boost from the antidote now only applies to survivors, making the Redhead finger a high risk high reward add-on.
I feel like it’s still easy to counter anyone who uses it. I’m investing a lot more hours into clown for the past month I still think there’s plenty of counter still. Survivors can easily dodge them and I just abuse Windows when versing it. Huntress is the only one who needs a change
-
It’s not an issue. It’s related to how the system in place spawns pallets. Groaning Storehouse is known for less loops and more dead zones so because of that and also needing a certain amount it is the only map that can spawn double pallets. It is an intended feature

This has to be bait.
Just in case, I guess I'll give you a somewhat elaborate answer but keep in mind I have no respect for this feedback.
DS is currently the strongest Survivor Perk, a Perk which existance alone is a threat even if you don't run it. The Killer has to respect it or risk losing so much momentum he could straight up lose the game depending on the situation, especially against good players and/or on a specific map with a lot of safe pallets.
You can abuse the Perk doing your objective while you should be the most vulnerable part of the team being the unhooked person, you must be respected and possibly slugged or you may cost the Killer a whole Gen in a bit more than a minute alone.
DS turns the table like no perk does bar maybe Unbreakable and, in some cases, NOED.
Also, little side note on how since last month I've been playing mostly Survivor and I find it extra straight foward. I don't want Survivor gameplay to be even more effortless since even now you just need to sit on a Generator for a while and drop a few pallets in a chase to be very useful to the team and even PIP regardless of your actual skill on looping and decision making. The only thing that matters is not being afraid of doing a Gen.
This change would buff the strongest perk on the Survivors' side and make the gameplay even more braindead.
No thank you.
It’s not the strongest perk. Widely known Unbreakable is the strongest perk and you not knowing how to counter DS proves how entitled you are. I never get hit with DS unless I’m dominating and feel like giving them another chance

Tunneling is a STRATEGY which is why the devs made a perk/perks that HINDER the strategy but don't shut it down because shutting down an entire strategy isn't fair
Yet nurse exists and shuts down normal looping as a strategy thus proving killer mains exaggerate everything and lie and play like complete POSs
