Ah, glad to see more attention towards Clown!
- What is your favorite add-on combination to use on Clown?
- Which tier do you think Clown resides in?
- What are your thoughts on Clown's add-on pass from his rework?
-

He really feels the exact same to play to me, people say he feels extremely clunky to play, I'd say he still feels about the same, especially compared to killers like Pyramid Head and Freddy who feel so unsatisfying. Other than the TR nerf which sucks, his chase feels the same if you are actually good at landing shots.
I started playing Slinger more and somehow he feels... better to play as?
His zoning is actually better because of his movement speed buff, and I've been getting more shots. Cooldown stun add-ons are also really fun with the reduction to his stun time.

I thought Wraith was better before or I was playing him badly because many people were saying he is good now and I even faced Wraiths who did well (with good add-ons usualy). But now I feel like when I play him I am just getting looped like any other M1 killer without power. His power is now usefull only for catching up or map travel (sometimes you can do sneaky attack if they don't expect you). But you can't rly use it in chase most of the time.

I would kinda understand if it was made in different patches, but it was in same patch.
Perk that counters hit&run and nerf that makes it harder for Wraith to commit...
Someone is really bad at Theory-crafting in DBD Balance team
The thing is, Wraith wasn't A-tier or powerful at all, he was decent at best. He was, simply put, a noob stomper.
He still has his outstanding mobility and W meta counter, but he's forced to run most loops an M1 killer.
-
The nerf brought him down from low B tier to mid-high C tier. His already meh chase was obliterated with the old uncloak boost combined with the nerfed uncloak movement speed. With boon totems, hit & run Wraith isn't as good as survivors can just heal themselves at the totem, and Wraith's chase is just horrible now.

Really? Is it that bad?
The movement speed while uncloaking nerf prior to 5.3.0 combined with the uncloak speed boost nerf is horrible to play with. It makes his anti-loop 10 times worse with his already below-average anti-loop prior to this patch. It doesn't feel very natural either.
-
Having trouble deciding between yes and no.
On one hand, flashbangs are practically firecrackers usable outside of events. On the other hand, while it's not included in the poll, firecracker add-ons would be sick.
-
The main building is the only issue with the map. Other than that, it's beautiful. The visuals are awesome and for a mid-day map, surprisingly quite eerie. The ground with the black ooze coming from the desert sand makes me a bit uncomfortable, and I like how there's something off with the map.

An evil survivor, yes, I like that. A survivor that was a horrible person would be pretty cool tbh.

No, it does affect hit and run Wraith. Can't split the damage if you can't even get a hit, which you won't against good survivors because of his ruined lunge.
"doesn't affect hit & run Wraith" is for sure an exaggeration, but it's still not much compared to how much it affected Wraith's chase game.
-
An endless loop of the same things over and over, and pain inflicted on me for the rest of my life? Aw hell nah.
If I were a killer and I kept on losing, I can't imagine the pain the Entity would put on me, and the endless pain I'd feel from being mutated by the Entity.

I agree with OP. Delete him (I know Devs won’t do this) or completely rework his power.
His power is a weird one, a buff would make him completely counter less and a nerf will make him really weak. There is no in between.
Well I didn't exactly suggest to delete Trickster, was just saying you could suggest to delete him as changing him. I personally wouldn't delete him.
-
I kind of regret buying the Switch version now.

Bubba is nice, no wonder I bought him on my second day of playing DBD.
Though I miss his old self.
Old Bubba was awful because you couldn't use his power in most loops and the fact that he was Billy with no mobility and very little anti-loop, but I will admit charging up your chainsaw by holding it down and then releasing the button was quite relaxing. Plus, I miss Nemesis and PWYF meta on him, but that's about it, I'm glad he was reworked.
Old Bubba should just be playable via a brown add-on IMO. I made a concept for an add-on to turn him into old Bubba:
- The chainsaw is now activated by releasing the power button. Fully charging it up and releasing the power button will unleash the chainsaw sweep. Releasing the power button without fully charging it up will immediately cancel it.
- Reduces charge count to 1. The charge count is capped.
- Increases the base chainsaw sweep duration by 1 second.
- Increases the revving threshold of the chainsaw by 5 seconds.
- Charges immediately replenish.

Nurse is a eugenicist according to her tome.Huntress killed entire villages and kidnapped little girls, she did a lot more than just survive.
Just because Huntress did wrong things doesn't necessarily make her evil. She raided and killed villages only to spare and kidnap young girls, thinking she was protecting them, only to have them starve to death because she didn't know what to do. She didn't have much of a moral agency either, she grew up with the mind of a 7-year-old.
-
Here is my latest one:
I really enjoy playing as the Artist. Her base-kit is unique and strong, and her playstyle is very strategic. She plays similar to Clown, and as a Clown main I really like having another killer with a playstyle slightly similar to my main.
-
I mentioned this in another thread, but Julie is probably the closest to being evil. She was manipulated for sure, but she actually enjoyed what she did.
-
If it's better for your mental health, then don't feel obligated to keep playing. You clearly aren't having fun and having a good time.
-
Agreed. I was wrong about the lunge nerf not doing much, holy it is horrible to play with. I play Wraith with a chase playstyle so it makes his anti-loop 10 times less enjoyable. It doesn't affect hit & run Wraith but it affects chase Wraith for sure.
Hope they reconsider the nerf.

I would just make it so his arm extends more instead of a longer lunge. Like the hitbox gets longer as a cool little reference to the first film.
That would be cool too.
-
I feel like old Quentin returning would disrespect the actor's wishes as well as the actor himself.
Other than that, I agree. Also give him an add-on that increases his lunge for each survivor in the dream world once he gets his old power back.

That I don't like, but that's not intended so I wouldn't call that a buff either.

It is absolutely a buff. If you're denying that, you should do some research on what buff means.
A buff is an increase in one's power. Dead Hard already had the ability to dodge hits with i-frames, it just works more as it was intended. Nothing was increased in terms of balance.
-
It's not a buff, it's a fix to Dead Hard to make it work as intended.
-
It wouldn't make him garbage, but it would make him unenjoyable that's for sure.
There are certain tiles where Blight is forced to play like an M1 killer, so making him 110% would make him more difficult to enjoy because of how many gens would pop in those tiles.

how is it cheesing hit? throwing purple bottles, instantly slowdown survivor so you get a hit. right now there is barely any reason to use yellow over pink. change 3 would help him use both bottles at the same time. it would help him a lot at loops and between loops.
we can't have strong killers though that's illegal.
Yellow bottles can counter W meta and can help you get hits in certain tiles, people just don't use the yellow bottle enough to experiment with it. The yellow bottle's activation timer encourages Clowns to think of a strategy before the gas activates, removing the activation timer would make him less strategic and decrease his skill cap. I play Clown and use the yellow bottle quite often every game so I know what I'm talking about.
Strong killers can be strong as long as they take skill. Clown in his current state takes more skill if you use the yellow bottles, and for that reason he clearly needs buffs. However, adding no. 3 would make him take less skill while making him stronger, and we don't want that.
-
Queue times are almost always long for killer in PTB, which makes sense because many people want to try her out. That's why it's easier to get games as survivor during PTB, more killers to go against.
-
From what it seems, all of the female killers so far have tragic backstories (Other than maybe Julie? Julie is probably the least tragic because even if she was manipulated she enjoyed what she did, plus she cares about Frank). I would love a female killer that ends up being a psychopath with no sympathy in there.

iron will itself is fine since it has risk reward, it's just dead hard removes the risk of it
on the original topic even more annoying to verse when people run spine chill + resilience with it and M1 killers can't hit a survivor cause you just medium vault if you get mindgamed
IW might be fine but DH is the big issue here.
-
Both perks are in need of changes in my opinion. Hell, I'd even argue that both of them could use an activation requirement other than simply getting injured.
-
Her chase is very similar to Doctor in terms of strategy, and also takes a bit of a while for her to down a survivor (It technically takes 4 hits to down a survivor with your crows). However, it's slightly better than Doctor's chase, and in general she's just super similar to Doctor in her kit. I would say Doc's tracking is better, while Artist has better chase and map pressure. Her chase is powerful, fast downs can happen sometimes.

You do have every right to voice your opinion, but never to insult someone else's. Calling a different opinion "foolish" merely because it doesn't align with your own is not only disrespectful, but also childish. And when it comes to basic respect, your alleged longevity in DBD doesn't matter in the slightest.
So I ask you again: who do you think you are to call our pleas "foolish"?
Now, I don't understand how a supposedly veteran player did not see strength that was right before him. Old Freddy excelled in control, not simply slowdown. Yes, this particular effect was strong, but it never gave you free victories, nor was it his only advantage. Your comment about his uniqueness is just plain wrong and unrealistic: even people who, somehow, enjoy his current power admit that his old self was the most unique character DBD has ever released. Heck, if you want a popular example there is Otzdarva, who said it himself. Now, the idea with Freddy was to play him in a less aggressive manner, knowing when to chase and drop chases, making use of his aura reading and Dream Transition mindgames to take advantage of survivor's mistakes and controlling the game in general. If your only focus was the supposed "stalemate", then it is obvious that you would see him as a weaker killer, where in reality he was not.
And, now we get to this "majority" that you speak of. I don't doubt for one second that you saw a few players wrongly ask for a full rework. I saw it too...once. One player in a god forsaken Discord server that had less than 10 hours of gameplay...Still, most reasonable people that did complain about Freddy asked for buffs and QoL improvements, never a full rework. And it is safe to say that people who, for some reason, asked for a full rework regretted their decision. The absolute majority of the community prefers Old Freddy over...whatever the hell current Freddy is. This poll is not enough for you?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/242751/give-us-back-old-freddy
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/255159/do-you-want-old-freddy-back
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/281207/freddy-just-feels-bad-to-play-right-now
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2337015#Comment_2337015
Then see it for yourself. Check the comments, support, upvotes...judge by any metric. People do want him back.
Now, do you know why the devs reworked him? No you don't. Just like you don't know why did they nerf Billy, why did they implement Patch 1.9.2 in the past, why did they decide against reverting the UI Change, why did they tried to nerf Rat Liver, why did they nerfed the Twins, why did they nerf Deathslinger...and this dumb list goes on. No one knows why did BHVR made bad decisions, and his rework is one of them.
Do you know what I see?
I see the majority of the community united for a righteous cause, demanding the devs to return what was once taken. To revert a bad change that never took Old Freddy mains, such as myself, into consideration. I see people sharing memories of an exciting past, and hopes for the future of this killer.
Perhaps this topic is dead for you. But then again, I already the know the nature of your comments and what you do. Discussing this is, more likely than not, pointless. I will, however, leave a final message that I will never stop. I will mention him at every opportunity, call for his return whenever I can.
And I will have my killer back.
Now, farewell.
I love how you actually added evidence to your comment to support your claim. I knew my poll would come in clutch someday! You dropped this btw 👑
-
As a Clown main, invigoration should not be instant. Place bottle on you, instantly speed up, cheese the hit. It would also decrease Clown's skill cap and make him 10 times more annoying to go against.
Also confetti is god tier, best meme add-on in the game, please keep it.
I don't think Hindered should make you slow vault, since it already forces medium vaults on windows which can be powerful if you know what you're doing.
I don't mind everything else though. In my opinion, invigoration should speed up the action speed of vaults and breaking pallets, as well as other actions.
-
It's time to nerf Monstrous Shrine.
-
Red was my favorite color when I was a young fella, so I'm picking it. Plus the blue gift gives me the creeps.
-
It's an exploit because the devs never acknowledged it as intended.
However, I say just keep it. It takes 10 times more skill than the old J-flick (which already took skill to begin with), it has counterplay (once you know he's a flicking Oni), and it's really rare to come across one because of how punishing it is to miss. When I get Oni 180'd I can't help but applaud them.
-
I really hope we don't get a chase killer and instead get something interesting. Maybe she could see the auras of crows at all times, and when a crow flies away, you could actually use that as her tracking ability. Ofc she could use some mobility too.
-
Nah, Smash Hit is perfect. It's the most balanced exhaustion perk in the game in my opinion. It takes skill to activate and is heavily rewarding if you do so.

With Blighted Serum or kicking treat pumpkins on him, it feels really natural tbh.
But yeah sometimes I forget that I even have the add-on, you're not alone lol.

The Nemesis we got in DBD was honestly a disrespect to Resident Evil and Nemesis. It just doesn't feel like Nemesis at all, feels more like "big man with tentacle." For instance, it would've been cool if Nemesis got a dash of some sort.

Anybody else find Tier 2 to be a lot more useful? Sure Tier 3 is nice but unlocking the ability to chew through pallets in record time is way more powerful.
Tier 3 increases your movement speed while charging up tentacle strike, which, along with the mini range boost, is pretty useful. However tier 2 is where you begin to shine in chases.
-
Huh, I do quite fine with Nemesis' base-kit and I play him a lot. What perks and add-ons do you use?
-
For Prove Thyself, keep it as it is. It's a perk that encourages survivors to stick together.
As for BtL, just revert it back to the way it was. It was almost perfect in its previous state.
-
Wait, I'm confused. What happened?
-
I've been playing him for a while and imo he seems more fun than before. However, that doesn't mean his power doesn't feel clunky to use.
I really hope they make changes to his kit to make him more appealing than Huntress and Trickster, or just revert him altogether. Most of all, he needs better add-ons.

You're forcing an opinion onto someone on the internet. OP literally stated they're fine if you like his gameplay. I disagree with OP saying his visuals don't fit in the game, and I enjoy playing Trickster, but people have the right to have separate opinions from you.
