The whole Discord system was flawed because sometimes the bot would disappear for a whole hour. Not to mention they didn't think about the autoclickers.
It really sucks because I wasn't home when they were giving out codes on the forum. I really wish they did it on the weekend.
As for the Twitter giveaway, I'm pretty sure the winners were DM'd.

We could probably try it in a PTB to see how it goes.

All I wanted to rid.

You are a man of culture.
That surprises me, ngl.
But for real, I genuinely like the mechanic. A way to remove the mechanic, such as an add-on or with Lightborn, would be nice though.
-
I like the lightburn mechanic. It has counterplay and is fun to go against. I would just make it so that Lightborn makes lightburn impossible to do, and honestly just buff Wraith's already weak kit.

The only ss I have left is the one with a blurred name but here's the post
Same energy as the Blight main copypasta.
I have a confession to make. I am a Blight main. I have been since September 2020. Ever since I was a young boy I would look for orange flowers in the woods and eat them whole. I called this "The Pustila Ritual" and would do this everyday. So my class introduced me to "Lethal Rush" where they would stab me over and over with sharp pencils until I was able to run away. It only lead to further craving. Before I play a Blight game, I infect myself with an orange fluidlike substance and crash into my bedroom walls over and over. For every survivor I kill I mod them while mimicking said mod on myself in real life. Yes I use ruin, undying, tinkerer, and BBQ
-
Hag is just straight-up unenjoyable misery to go against. Would take Trickster over that menace.

Something like... Let her blink over dropped pallets and window vaults, but not through walls. Would be a proper nerf.
I mean... I played er for one day and I already made people DC/Suicide left and right. Anyone that says she is hard to play is full of it. You literally blink on top of them and adjust with a follow-up blink if that was not enough.
Ehh... I feel like that would just limit her skill cap and that's about it. It would make Nurse boring to play as, and kind of annoying to play too.
I'm sure there's a way to rework Nurse without her being miserable.

Well the "Buff" killers get should be a ACTUAL balancing and rebalancing to those killers who got un needed nerfs or were nerfed into the ground. Survivors should have a challenge to escape but not a IMPOSSIBLE challenge. The game revolves around both survivors and killers.
I'm... sort of confused on the way you worded that.
-
A perk would't fix the issue with solo queue.
A comms system should honestly be base-kit, that way we don't have to worry about balancing killers for both solo and SWF because they'll be just as powerful. Buffing killers to compensate would make it better.
-
Billy. I love hearing his chainsaw at the start of the match because I'll know it'll be a fun game.
-
- Remove the range cap on tier 3. 64/96/128 metres.
- Give it a secondary effect. My idea is to make it so that once all chests have been opened, all survivors that have opened at least one chest will be exposed until they get downed. If a survivor opened two chests out of three, they will be exposed until their second down. Coin offerings can increase the amount of exposed for each survivor, depending on how many chests they've opened.
I don't think this would make the perk OP at all, since it would still be very situational, but it would actually be somewhat useful in terms of downing survivors and tracking.

The fault of this reasoning is that tier lists are completely arbitrary and made up by the community.
As I said before, killers should specifically be balanced around old Billy, Huntress, and maybe even S tier killers such as Blight and current Spirit. The A tier part wasn't specific.
-
@dspaceman20 said:
I agree. Killers should be strong and Honestly Blight should be the standard of how a killer should be. Strong but fair.
I just hope that when making and balancing killers you consider both sides not just one.
I would say once they tone down the Ruin Undying Tinkerer combo (probably by making Tinkerer activate once per generator), they'll be able to start from there.
-
@thrawn3054 said:
The larger issue to me is many maps are simply too big. Shrink those first, then see what buffs certain killers might need.
Yeah I agree. Maps like Haddonfield and Mother's Dwelling should be rebalanced and sized down at the same time. Maps should be sized to Coal Tower at the very most. Most maps in general need a rebalance.

I feel Billy is more like C/B tier these days
Old Billy, not current Billy. I would say current Billy is B tier, which is not the state he should be in because of his high skill floor and cap.
-
This image fits this post super well.
I'm going to see myself out.

@JPA said:
I mean, if every Killer was A-tier, then you'd just have A-F tier within A tier.
I get what you're saying, Killers should be stronger in general, but if we want to have diverse Killers with diverse powers then there is always going to be tiers.
I wasn't being specific on that part. I meant balancing killers around old Billy and Huntress, two killers the majority of the community agree are A tier killers.

Oh, nice! Thank you!
Do you recommend any perks or new builds you found on him? Most builds I see revolve around PGTW, Enduring + SF, or his hindered add-ons.
I can't remember correctly, but I think this is the build:
BBQ (Bloodpoints, you can use whatever you want if you don't like BBQ), No Way Out (no map pressure so if the 5th gen pops you'll have plenty of time to secure a kill or more hooks, plus NWO is good on every killer), Surge (slowdown that compliments his ability to down survivors well and his M1 power), and Lethal Pursuer (enhances his early game potential).
For add-ons:
I usually just play with his base-kit, but some of his add-ons are quite powerful.
His hindered add-on, as you mentioned, the Flask of Bleach, makes survivors a lot slower while in the gas.
Cigar Box shows the auras of survivors while you have the effects of the antidote.
The yellow Cork add-on makes his reloading faster, but I prefer Smelly Inner Soles, which enhances his reload movement speed in conjunction with his new reload speed from the rework which makes the add-on WAY better than it used to be (as VHS Porn, since it has the same effects as the old VHS Porn). Nothing's stopping you from using both either!
-
The issue with gens rn are usually just Brand New Parts and toolboxes in general, as well as survivor spawn locations. I'd say leave the speeds as they are.

You got a point and I should probably play Clown more bc I've seen some good clown plays, but was never been able to actually execute them.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2636135#Comment_2636135
This. Never be afraid to do something new! Explore! :D
If you need any tips:
- Don't be afraid to try using the antidote in loops.
- If you have one antidote left, you can drop one and then reload to get that juicy speed boost out of that 1 bottle.
- Antidotes are WAY better at closing in distances than people give credit for. Don't be afraid to do that either!
- You can spread gas with the tonics by throwing them high at walls. Really helpful for smaller loops, but can still be very helpful in other loops.
Once you learn him, Clown is a really fun killer to play as!
-
I really enjoy Clown. He's all about strategy, and believe it or not, I love using my brain in DBD.
Billy is also a killer I really enjoy. Like Clown, he requires strategy and mindgames, but you have to be more precise than Clown (although Clown still has a really high skill cap). Flicks tend to be difficult to pull off, especially without those engravings (still glad the engravings got buffed!).
-
I SWF'd with @Dabihwow. I'm still upset that he got banned, but we're friends now so that's awesome!

Too bad it doesn't exist anymore 😔
Oh crap, I meant Fearmonger. Yeah, Fearmonger.
A perk that disables Sprint Burst from gens until they decide to start walking for 5 seconds, which will hinder them more than it will help him depending on the situation. Even better on stealth killers where they can't start removing their exhaustion because they don't know if the killer is coming for them. It also counters other exhaustion perks, notable ones such as Lithe and Dead Hard.

I agree with you on the gameplay-changing add-ons. I would like to see Blight's Adrenaline Vial become common. It's a very fun add-on, changing Blight's gameplay by a margin, but it makes Blight a million times weaker.
-
Definitely Wraith. I'm tired of people not wanting to adjust to killers, constantly demanding for a Wraith nerf to his base-kit. His purple All-Seeing? Yeah, go for it, it could use a nerf or a rework. But Wraith was fine as he was, and now his chase game sucks more than it already did. Hit & run isn't as good either because of Circle of Healing.
-
The recent patch was an absolute buff to basement Trapper. Trapper Sack + Makeshift Wrap is NUTS. You get all your traps at the start of the trial, you put a buttload of traps in the killer shack, get a survivor into the basement, and let the magic happen. You don't even have to worry about stepping in your shack & basement traps thanks to the new Makeshift Wrap add-on, and if a survivor DHs through a trap outside of the shack, it doesn't even matter, their fate is sealed.
I haven't tried it but I've seen others use that build and it's really cool.
-
She might be one of the characters I'll play every now and then, such as Spirit and Trickster, but I'm not sure if I'll main her. Depends on the changes given to her post PTB (if she even gets changes).
-
Lore-accurate gameplay right there.

Honestly, I think it's perfect as it is. It might be useful for solo queue, and people are prone to missing skill checks because of console optimization and performance in general. Oh and it'll be useful for SWFs if you're playing with friends who just got DBD!

I've always thought slinger should have gun modification addons, like a scope.
That would actually be really cool tbh. Would make for a cool add-on and give him extra creativity. Plus, he needs better add-ons anyways.

30 seconds might be too long in my opinion. Maybe 10-15 seconds would be fine.
I'd also give her a secondary ability in that case but I'm not sure what I'd give her. Maybe something mobility-related, since changing her like that would remove her mobility.

Ok, so what I would do with the Nurse...I would revert her.
And no, I don't mean the OG 7 blink madness.
I mean the intermediate 5 blink one. Ya know, the usual 2017-2019 Nurse.
I remember how nuts the 5 blink Nurse was. Glad that Nurse is gone but it's still interesting to look back at how broken she was. I think it's better for that Nurse to stay in the grave, though.
-
@Huge_Bush said:
Allow her to heal survivors and repair generators.
I agree with this one. Right now, she isn't even a real Nurse. Nurses don't hurt people intentionally.
-
Not for your reason, but I just want to see more cosmetics exclusive to purchasing DLCs for killers. It's usually survivors that get the cosmetics from the DLCs.
The only two killers I can name that has cosmetics exclusive to their DLC is Doctor and Ghostface.

I disagree. Even the devs stated he was a little OP if I'm remembering correctly. I believe he's perfectly balanced now.
The devs are the same people that nerfed Billy, the most balanced killer in the game base-kit wise, and constantly nerfed Pig unnecessarily, as well as not even buffing her base-kit because of StAtIsTiCs. Oh and nerfing Twins too. You can't really use the dev's words as an argument.
Wraith wasn't the slightest bit OP. If you got destroyed by Wraith, that's very likely a you problem.
-
Would be awesome, but it doesn't give them money, so they won't do it.

Could someone please provide viable free options? I tried one called Proton VPN, it ends up breaking my Internet connection (like a Twitch stream stops, can't load web pages either, etc.) when I'm about to join a lobby in DbD. Saying something about no P2P traffic is permitted on this server.
Windscribe has a free plan for 10gb per month, but that probably wouldn't be enough. However, you can buy unlimited data for one country of your choice for 2 dollars a month minimum, which is not bad. It's what I'm currently using, and it does the job well and is pretty good in general.

Honestly agreed and this feels like how it should've been all along. His counterplay is similar to huntress's now, but he is still really strong in chase and can still land shots, he just takes a little more skill now (that must be why people don't like him). Just like the spirit change, I now also feel less guilty playing him lol
What's weird is that he actually feels easier to play as for me. But hey, that's probably just me. Maybe I'm just playing him more in order to learn him.

Good question!
The main change I’d make is that both his bottles use separate ammo. I’d have 4 tonics and 1 antidote. The antidote would be on a 10 second cooldown and tonics would be reloaded manually (completing a reload would give you your antidote back too)
As for add ons I have a few
Fingerless parade gloves: Shows the arc of the a bottle being throw, allows for the clown to charge his bottle for twice as long. This changes the arc to similar of a huntress when fully charged
Robin feather: Slightly increases antidote recharge time (from 10 to 8 seconds)
Sticky soda bottle: Increases both tonic and antidote capacity by 1
Starling feather: Moderately increases antidote recharge time (from 8 to 6 seconds)
Kerosene can: survivors intoxicated by the afterpiece tonic are afflicted with the oblivious status effect
Spirit of hawtshorn: slightly increases the haste effect from the afterpiece antidote (from 10% to 15%) and slightly reduces the afterpiece antidote’s duration (from 6 to 5)
Bottle of chloroform: Now also increases the duration of the afterpiece tonic’s duration (This makes it essentially the old garish makeup kit)
Cigar box: While intoxicated you see survivor auras greater than 40 metres away from you (The current one feels a bit cheap in terms of finding stealthy survivors so this would make it more like a budget BBQ)
Cheap gin bottle: Increases both tonic and antidote capacity by 2
Tatoo’s middle finger: After hooking a survivor all of your bottles are automatically reloaded
Redhead’s pinky finger: Survivors who cure their intoxication with an antidote become exposed for 15 seconds
Honestly, I like that idea more than making the bottle count separate in a 4/4 way, and I'd LOVE to see it in the game. I also love your add-on ideas in general.
Although I do think an antidote recharge add-on would be nice, I do want to keep the cooldown add-on. Maybe give the cooldown add-on to the brown Robin Feather.

- Thick cork stopper and bleach/ Cork stopper and smelly soles
- High C- Low B depending on add ons
- Dissapointed pinky finger wasn’t reworked but overall pretty good
Oh and another question (if someone already asked this, my apologies):
What changes would you make to the Clown's base-kit? Oh and what changes would you make to his add-ons? (if you have any ideas, that is)
