"I hate that Michael has an addon that lets him compete with the turbo survivor meta. Please slow him down so my games are easy again."
Disliking an add-on because it's boring to go against ≠ Thinking the add-on is too powerful
The add-on is pretty bad anyways, it hinders Myers because it makes him take longer to get to tier 3, and good survivors will hold W against it because they'll know when he's coming.
-
Well, it's not a good add-on at all, you're right about that. It removes Myers' ability to catch survivors off guard with his low TR in tier 2 and makes it more difficult to down survivors, and removes game slowdown from survivors healing each other. Not to mention it takes 10 years to get to tier 3.
I would assume they use it because it makes him easier to play as? It's a bit more difficult to catch survivors off guard in tier 2 compared to having free tier 3 all game. I guess if you just wanna turn your brain off and run around with a knife and instadown everyone, it can be pretty fun, but infinite tier 3 Michael is definitely weaker nonetheless.

You just don’t wanna take the time and do totems.
I mean, I try to do at least one totem in most of my games, but I guess I don't want to cleanse totems apparently.

Unfair?
Why is it that when i play that i have no trouble finding the totems without my team dying around me, but when i come to the forums people always say things like you did earlier?
Either I'm very high in mmr where that doesn't happen, or people who complain about it are at a lower level?
It might seem unfair as it can reward bad olay by killers, but it rewards more by bad play from survivors.
You power through the gens?
Then just escape, it really is not that hard
It's also map design with their totem spawns that can mess you up. If all survivors don't do a single totem at all, then sure, it's a bad play on their end, but there's no helping for survivors that did at least less than 5 totems.
You can't really escape if the NOED totem is in a really weird spot, and if you get downed, your fate is likely sealed, there's no saving yourself unless the survivors somehow find the totem. Most survivors would just leave, which is the better option, but it's still unfair when you get killed. I don't mind it, but it still gave the killer an unfair kill.

Detectives hunch is a good way to find totems in between gens.
If you don't have a map (I can't bring one every single game), you're still taking the time to find them if you don't have perfect memory of the totem locations, and this is coming from someone who runs Hunch a lot. Keep in mind you still have to run to each totem, in which the killer could eventually find you while doing so, or even get a survivor out of the game.

Correct you don't know that.
If you are annoyed by getting hit by noed, then just take it up on yourself to find the bones and cleanse them.
Besides, you can't win them all 😉
Well, I'm not necessarily annoyed by getting hit by NOED, I just consider it to be unfair.
People keep missing the point for some odd reason.

You could also just leave the match.
As in DC, or...?
If you mean just escaping, then you're missing the point. I'll work on cleansing all 5 totems and that takes the time of trying to find each totem, as well as running to them and cleansing them. In all that time, you could be doing generators, and god knows what will happen to the survivors if I waste my time on each and every totem. We're talking solo queue here.
-
I don't understand the argument of "just do bones."
Yeah, I'll do all five bones while the rest of my teammates die because I'm not on generators. Not to mention how ridiculous it is in solo queue, yeah you have 3 other teammates but are they going to cleanse totems? You don't know that.
-
Not really the right direction for a Pig buff, but it could make for a cool add-on.
-
I'm so sorry about what you're going through, as well as the fact I wasn't able to see your last post.
I really hope you can get through this, and I hope your mother will be alright, she seems like a kind person. I'm glad to hear that you're able to find comfort around here.

Leatherface, Clown, and Demo should be S tier. Other than that, solid list.
-
People will do that no matter what. It's natural.
-
I hate Mikaela but not for your reason. I just don't like her design.
I'm pretty neutral with boons atm.
-
I don't see why not, would be dope.
-
Okay I actually wouldn't mind that though. W meta is annoying to go against, and reducing the attack cooldown would make it less painful to deal with. Maybe 3 stacks base-kit? Or 4 stacks?

Rather than a buff I think he needs an addon rework, especially after the top knot nerf.
Agreed, some of his add-ons are pretty bad or even useless (I'm looking at you, iridescents...)
I would combine both passive recharge add-ons into one (0.1c/s + 0.2c/s = 0.3c/s), buff Renjiro's Bloody Glove (it's actually very unique for an iri add-on, it's just too weak), and lower Tear Soaked Tenugui's rarity to yellow. There's a lot more to do from there but it'll be a great start.

@Brimp said:
He def needs a rework. A power that depends on survivors is bad design.
Lord please don't rework Oni, he's one of the best designed killers in the game. All he needs is better add-ons and maybe some minor buffs.
I'm not too sure about buffs though, he's regarded as one of the most balanced killers in the game. OP is right that pre-dropping pallets punishes Oni too much, however, so maybe there's something to do about that.

What if the pink toxin had the same effect on vaults as Pinhead's chains? That would make Clown's gas a bit better than Pinhead's 1v1 chain attack, but Clown still wouldn't have the 4v1 ability that Pinhead does with Chain Hunt.
I'm not too sure, might make him a bit more annoying to go against, but we could probably test that out in a PTB to see how it goes.

The yellow bottles are pointless a survivor gets haste off it and also u need to wait a few seconds in there to get the movement speed which is awful
It's pretty good for closing in distances. Throw the antidote from a long range, get the speed boost, and catch up to the survivor. You can use it in loops too, in combination with the tonic.
I rarely have situations where the survivor gets the haste off of it, it's difficult for survivors to pull that off. Plus, the gas doesn't last that long in the environment. If they manage to get haste from the gas, you're probably using it wrong.
The activation timer is good, it gives you time to create your tonic setup and doesn't make him brainless. If the activation timer was deleted, it would be a game of throwing an antidote below you, throwing a tonic at the survivor, and cheesing that free hit. It would make Clown even more boring to play against. Right now, it takes skill and prediction to utilize the antidote.
-
- Make the antidote take 0.5 seconds less to activate.
- @Phasmamain had a really good idea in which there would be separate ammo, 4 tonics and 1 antidote, but the antidote would recharge every 10 seconds. I absolutely love the idea and prefer it over simply separating the ammo.
- Change some of his add-ons. I made a thread on the changes I would make to his add-ons, as well as some changes to his base-kit.

I'm probably not the best to ask as I'm not really a fan of Clown in general and haven't put much thought into how to fix him.
That said, I'll spit ball some thoughts, just keep it with a grain of salt.
Firstly, the bottle slow down should force medium vaults.
Secondly, he needs some form of map pressure. Maybe something like a jack n the box he can put around a gen that blocks the gen from being worked on for a set amount of time. This works as a "pseudo" map pressure by being able to have more control over which gens are being worked on.
I've also seen the idea tossed around of his second bottle instead of its current effect causing controls to be reversed.
Like I said, I'm not the best for Clown ideas, but he's definitely in a garbage state even after his rework. When's the last time you've even seen someone use the yellow bottles in a match? Exactly lol.
The bottle slowdown already forces medium vaults.
No one uses the yellow bottle because they don't know how and when to use it.
-
I actually stopped giving hatch because of the MMR system and my fear of messing with it. I'll consider giving hatch to the good players so that their MMR doesn't go down, though.
-
It's a pretty bad time to build and buy a PC due to GPU prices, so I'd pick up the Series X. If you have those stacks of cash, then sure, go for the PC, it's way better than console in every way, but I'd go for the Series X for now.
-
Spirit is fine, the issue is Iron Will being too powerful against her. Some of her add-ons could use adjusting, but that's about it. She's in the most balanced spot she's ever been in.
-
What platform are you on?
-
Ngl this kinda sounds like the start of a cliché creepypasta (No offense intended towards you OP I know you're being serious)
But yeah as others have said, very likely a glitch that happened on your PC. The survivors were probably just confused.
-
Doing alright, could be better, but meh. Thanks for asking tho.

Bruh you're ignoring the fact that someone mentioned Child's Play and that's alright with you? Yeah okay
-
Meh, I feel like something more interesting would make up for it. Don't get me wrong, F13 absolutely deserves to be in the game eventually, but Jason doesn't seem too... interesting, at least compared to what we could get, like Chucky, Candyman,
Jaws, Springtrap, all that stuff. -

Fnaf is literally brought up constantly. It's not coming
How is that problematic though? Let people mention what they want, it's not that big of a deal.
-
Poor Krueger deserves a break man. They've put him through so many ridiculous changes: an unnecessary rework, a nerf that made him even more boring to play as, as well as making him very perk-reliant, and giving him mediocre add-ons.
-
Deactivating NOED is easier said than done for solo players. SWF? Cake walk. Solo queue, on the other hand, you can't even tell if the other survivors are doing their job.
It's not healthy for the game, simple as that.
-
Ehh... I'm kind of getting bored of instadown add-ons and that one feels like it would be too boring in my opinion. It wouldn't be overpowered, it would just be very boring to play with and against. Ambushing is the most fun part of Pig's kit in my opinion, and turning it into an instadowning machine instead of an anti-loop ability, even if it's exclusive to an add-on, just seems boring.
-
Pretty sure Boss quit DBD and the forums after the NFT incident which is completely reasonable. Maybe the others had the same fate?
-
The issue with Tinkerer is how overpowered its synergy can be with Nurse and Blight and Ruindying. I personally think the issue here is Tinkerer. While it's not OP by itself, it's sure as hell broken with the above three.
-
A perk that essentially grants an extra health state is far from healthy. Not to mention how annoying the loop extending can be.
-
So you want a perk to completely shut down like three killers?
-
It's a perk that absolutely counters SB and DH. I'm surprised not many people use it.
With the new Blindness addition, it can be used to temporarily hut down Kindred on their side while doing a generator, as well as other aura perks. It's very minor but it works.
-
Looks like they took the "Add Jane Romero to DBD" posts too seriously.

Current legion gameplay doesn't make sense anymore with Circle of healing. The opportunity cost of healing is irrelevant. The power has no lethality(It cannot down survivors in a timely matter). Its only used its information ability, but in order to use this information ability, you must find another survivor to acquire it, but do you really need information if you have already found another survivor?
Another question ask, Whats the difference between Legion hitting the survivor, Running up to them and than M1 them outside of the loop from lesser fatique compare to Legion instant down them out of position?
If fatique for example is supposedly changed from 4->3. What difference does this actually make between the survivor getting to a loop or not? Would it even have any impact on gameplay? If the fatique is removed entirely, than why is not it an instant down at that point?
Current Legion gameplay aims to be an M1 killer with ineffective ability.
The duration add-ons already successfully achieve consistent frenzy chain hits. They are not global but I doubt Legions effectiveness would change even if Legion could successfully land 4 individual feral frenzy chain hits. If anything, This would just add more mending similulator to the survivor without any true potency.
It seems like you're implying the problem is CoH, and not Legion.
Not sure what you mean with that second and third question, so you should probably elaborate on those two because I'm confused on them. I would assume you mean the effectiveness of a survivor getting to a loop, it would simply make Legion more forgiving and enjoyable to play as, as well as being able to down a survivor faster.
Mending simulator is Legion's slowdown ability, and being able to injure everyone at once as well.
-
@BattleCast said:
So it's basically the situation where you're right behind a survivor waiting for the DH, but 3 times over. That doesn't sound fun imo. It would be fairer than Legion from 3 years ago, but probably would be just as unfun.
I'd rather they just buff FF speed and nerf fatigue. The power is perfect and doesn't need any extra stuff.
Yeah I agree with this, increase the speed of FF for more consistent frenzy chains on larger maps, and shorten the fatigue duration. Maybe some other buffs or QoL changes as well idk, but more importantly, new add-ons. I like current Legion's gameplay and what it aims for.
-
I don't like the idea of bringing back a killer reminiscent to old Legion at all, even if they're a million times more fair than Legion was back then. I like Legion's current gameplay a lot more, being focused on the 1v4 aspect. Plus, I don't want another killer better at 1v1.
-
One of the most fun killers to play as & against, slowly about to disappear. Ofc I'm going to miss them!
-
25% is WAY too overkill, Breakout already proves how fast a 20% wiggle boost can be. It should be at least 5-10% increased wiggle speed, or just rework the perk entirely.
-
I assume you accidentally travelled through time from 2016 before multistalk got removed, all the way to 2021 (yeah, it's 2021). This is some weird ass science fiction ######### right here.

Survivors deserves better addons like I deserve abilities like dead hard and can run amok. Yeah no. Let's not. Until other stuff is fixed.
Literally most survivor add-ons tend to be almost worthless, they deserve at least something interesting, but not overpowered.
-
I don't know, it kind of seems like old DS all over again, especially for SWF.
I mean don't get me wrong, survivors deserve better add-ons, but this might be a bit too OP. Not to mention it wouldn't take as much skill as a normal flashlight save.
-
For killer:
Those who don't really enjoy chases would probably like playing killers who has potential to end chases very quickly, such as Myers (low TR and insta-down), Huntress (close-range hatchets), Bubba (insta-down out in the open), and Trickster (same with Bubba, but not literal insta-down).
For survivor:
Those who play stealthily or focus on generators very likely prefer playing that way instead of committing to chases.
As a killer main, I personally like chases on both sides, no matter the killer or survivor I'm playing against.
