Considering he takes more skill than most killers, not many people are going to play him.
Not to mention the NFTs are probably discouraging people from playing him to begin with.
-
Trickster
-
I like hearing what the community thinks, and meeting new people on here. Also it's fun to make threads on changes I'd make to DBD, and see others' takes on them.
But it's nice to come here for a laugh at times
-
His cages need to spawn more consistently. Make them spawn away from survivors.
I honestly feel like his base-kit could use a buff though. Like, maybe give him a baseline range add-on? His add-ons in general need adjusting as well.
-
Keep in mind it takes 10 million years to down survivors with Frenzy. It's still a meme, but it's also a lot more efficient than before.
-
I've been beginning to play Spirit more after her nerf. Her add-ons are awesome and she's honestly more fun than she was because it actually feels more challenging to down a survivor, which therefore allows me to use my power more.
-
I would just give survivors base-kit comms and buff killers to compensate.
-
Best 4 in order are Bubba, Hag, Trapper, and Trickster.

My understanding is that you get a chance to get the Hellraiser DLC, not that you get it guaranteed with the purchase. I'm not sure if that's wholly accurate, though- I never bothered actually looking at it on their website because I'm not the kind of mark that'd buy an NFT lol
(Also it has been confirmed there won't be any exclusive content tied to the NFTs, which is a relief)

There are literally only 10 Hellraiser DLC codes that they are releasing alongside their projected 10,000 NFT's.
Take your first step into the Masters of Horror Metaverse and be one of the first travelers to use the Lament Configuration to open this portal to another realm. Ten random subscribers to our list will receive a Legendary Pinhead NFT variant from the original 10,000 that includes an alternate costume and grants in-game access to the Hellraiser chapter of the video game Dead by DaylightTM for PC.
Each purchase should only give you a 0.01% chance at getting the Hellraiser DLC if they are projecting 10,000 NFT's sold (and depending on the subscriber requirement you might even be able to just subscribe and get the DLC without buying an NFT)
In other words, you have a 99.99% chance of spending 240$ on a few PNGs
that's dumb lol
DLC costs like $4.99, every NFT bought for it should guarantee the code. But eh whatever anyone who buys the NFT doesn't deserve it.

Wait, are these the actual NFTs? Not a joke or someone's crappy photoshop? 😂
Yep, that's all it is. It's simply just an image of the head of the DBD Pinhead model A-posing with a wig, a hat, shades, or a cigar. As a bonus for buying the NFT you probably get that Lament Configuration thing, the Hellraiser DLC, and probably that exclusive Butterball skin.

True.
-
Pretty much my definition of M1 killer as well. Clown should be included, however. Spirit also technically counts.

Yeah but they could change it so its not Terror Raius Based but just set to 40 m like it is now.
Would be nice if that were the case.
-
Ngl I thought I was on Reddit for a second.
If I had to choose however... Dwight.
-
These are some cool ideas. The big issue I have with 11 however is the fact that the killer instinct won't show while you're undetectable. I'd change it to make it so you're undetectable while in frenzy until you hit a survivor with a frenzy slash, that way you could surprise survivors doing a generator and then slash them.
-
Happy forum birthday! We're more than grateful to have you on here!

If Legion ever gets buffed, this is a good example of what should be done. Don't rework them completely, just buff them and make them more interesting, like this take on a Legion buff.

And your "sarcasm" aside? You get hit by a bottle - what do you do to counter it?
Huh? What "sarcasm" are you talking about? He's OP, I keep getting destroyed by him, and we all know any killer I get outplayed by is clearly overpowered! The blame's on Clown, not me.

So how do you counter bottles?
You don't. As I said, zero counterplay. Too OP.
-
I only dodge if I play with or against someone I already played with/against. I'm just too anxious of disappointing them or embarrassing myself.
-
Yep, Clown is clearly OP and needs a nerf. He's literally the new Spirit, zero counterplay.
-
We'll probably see that once we get the key rework. Either that, the model stays the same, or the Broken Key gets removed from the game permanently.
-
No matter how much you nerf her, she'll either continue being top tier, or be bottom 3. She needs a rework, her design in general is pretty unhealthy. I get people enjoy playing her, but she's an issue in terms of the game's balance, and balancing will be so much easier without having to worry about her.
-
The only issues I have with Jake, Nea, and Quentin's new portraits are how bright they look. They don't fit in very well with the others. They look great, they're just too under-saturated.
Other than that, the others look awful. Kate and Feng look like screenshots of their models posing. As for David, well, do I really have to explain his?
-
Billy - Punctured Muffler
Myers - Jewelry Box
Pig - Combat Straps
Clown - Old version of Smelly Inner Soles
Ghostface - Old version of Chewed Pen and Address Book
-
He bought the new Freddy Krueger NFT, which unlocks the ability to use both snares & dream pallets as Freddy in DBD.
-
I think shack is fine as it is. Shack is meant to be a powerful tile. Besides, shack isn't as powerful once you get god pallet out.
The problem leans towards map design and not shack.

Adept Meg.
Unlike the others, she's staring directly into our souls.

I think you are framing this situation in a completely biased way. Camping is punishment for survivors is another way to frame the punishment discussion. You seem to think a survivor should get 1000 BP for a game because they got insta downed and face camped.
You could camp survivors just as effectively if you use my camping add-ons and there are different ways to use it. you run my yellow and green, then you have to get a hang of timing your chainsaw just right. Combine my red and yellow, then it takes a while to build up your camping game, but once you get those stacks you can camp like no one ever has before. Camp, get 2 hits, shred a pallet and hit the third. I mean you only lose your movement and some stability during tantrum. I mean at base kit, If two survivors go for a basement save even with my nerf you get all three with no add-ons. Two come up, you hit both of them and if you bottleneck the stairs your tantrum is still a spinning death trap for a survivor who tries to run past you.
My goal here isn't to just end all basement bubba builds, its to make them intentional. Not a thing you do because you hit some one with noed and run them to the basement and stand in the corner till someone comes to save them. It makes you think more about what you're strategy as Bubba is as opposed to being so oppressive in this situation that no body bothers with the save and you sit in a corner till someone dies. The problem with Basement Bubba currently is that if Bubba has a survivor he his camping, he is so oppressive in that situation that only stupidly cocky survivors or flat out stupid survivors will even attempt to make a save. And then what? My idea is so survivors can say to themselves, if basement Bubba is gonna camp, we can do something about it that involves killer to survivor interaction as opposed to killer in corner while everyone else does gens. I believe with my suggestions survivors have to think, is he a Bubba with camping add-ons... If not, we might be able to get him out. So like, OMG, suddenly basement bubba is actually seeing decent survivors throwing their hat in an attempt to get that save.
I think Killer mains have this bad habit of thinking they are the only ones who are really playing this game. If you make a game where all the rules are stacked to give you a 70% chance of success where all your opponents only have a 30% chance of success... guess what! They think its unfair and they don't want to play your ######### game. Basement bubba as is means Bubba has to seriously misplay for survivors to get away with a face camped save and even if they do, someone's probably going to take that saved survivors place. You have a 95% chance of getting your objective done, and they have a 5% chance. Any survivor who isn't stupid will look at those odds and say, "aww fuhck that." Now if we make it so at base its 50/50, they say, "Okay, its worth a shot, I'll play your basement game Bubba Boi" And I'm offering a way through these add-ons so you stack that 50/50 into a range of 70/30 or even 80/20 in the Killer's favor. Even after learning your add-on selection from experimentation, survivors would still believe, maybe there's a shot and they are willing to roll the dice and maybe get away with it.
...what the fu- Okay...?
I'm simply just saying that if we're nerfing an unhealthy aspect of Bubba, we should reward the good Bubba players by giving him a buff to compensate for removing his ability to dominate in terms of facecamping and basement proxy camping.
-
Honestly I would just combine both tantrum window add-ons (Long Guide Bar & The Grease) into one, and use that extra add-on slot for a brown add-on that turns him into old Bubba for nostalgia, something like this:
- The chainsaw is now activated by holding down the power button. Fully charging it up and releasing the power button will unleash the chainsaw sweep. Releasing the power button without fully charging it up will immediately cancel it.
- Reduces charge count to 1. The charge count is capped.
- Increases the base chainsaw sweep duration by 1 second.
- Increases the revving threshold of the chainsaw by 5 seconds.
- Charges immediately replenish.
If we're going to punish Bubba for camping however, then Bubba should be given a base-kit buff to compensate, particularly yellow Chili base-kit and maybe yellow engravings base-kit.
-
Whatever's happening right now seems pretty scary, no clue who got the idea of destroying peoples' expensive property because of this NFT garbage.
-
If this is true then holy #########.
There was a certain someone who got bricked as well.

We all know this game has a massive hacker problem and that Bhvr isn't doing anything. But did you know that consoles can complete break? I didn't know that but now here I am with one.
Played a normal game as survivor when suddenly the whole map was completely glitched and textures where on different spots then the hit boxes and barieres. The killer hidding it not a bit and uses as a twin tricksters knifes that one ######### people and other stupid stuff. I didn't want to dc because you know... Bhvr bans people for it :) So I just stayed there and did nothing. Suddenly it began to extremely lag before my game froze completely. Well I thought it was my game but my whole console didn't react anymore. I waited a bit and suddenly it just went off completely, not turning on again... Thanks bhvt, now I have to repair it C:
Not sure how it'd be possible for a hacker to do that, but if this happens to be true then I honestly fear that.
-
Hmm... maybe if it doesn't activate after the 5th generator is completed.
-
My favorite Yui and Spirit main on here, glad to see you on here! Good luck!
-
It'd be a great start to reducing the grind.
-
It's decent, I like the surprises from kicking pumpkins (ex: you can either get haste, hindered, or neither). The event should last longer though, especially because of the, ya know...
It could be WAY better but it's still a million times better than that recycled ass 5th anniversary event.
-
If hope so as in hope it kills DBD, then yeah this is my closest answer. I don't want it to actually kill DBD, I just want it to step its game up, but I doubt that'll happen. I want to be wrong though.
-
I definitely agree, DBD is a love letter to horror and slasher fans around the world. Being able to play as and survive these slashers in an actual video game is just, awesome.
-
IMO the perk is fine as it is. The buff made it a lot better in solo queue and no longer requires friends to work efficiently. Bond is excellent with Open Handed.
-
Agitation + Iron Grasp is all you need. Those other two slots can go to whatever you'd like. Corrupt and Lethal Pursuer can be helpful to get the game going in the basement quickly, as well as preventing gens from flying. If you're planning to camp then you can bring Insidious.
Oh yeah and you could bring a basement offering too.
-
As others have said, Clown is an excellent user of the perk. Intoxicate for slowdown and break a pallet quickly for less distance for the survivor.
The perk in general needs a buff though.
-
The issue with Undying is that it quadrupled your amount of Ruins to 4 Ruins. Boon totems require you to go back and light them up (although there are 3 other survivors making this less difficult), while killers don't need to worry about their totems, they just do their thing. Also, Ruin was pretty much the only perk that worked with Undying, making its design even more flawed.
The only boon totem that needs to be toned down IMO is Circle of Healing.
-
Curtain Call was amazing on release.
It brought Kate, Clown, and one of the best maps in the game. Clown was hyped up because of his unique anti-loop back then, and also being the first killer to handle infinites.
2.0.0 was also supposedly the best state the game has ever been in back then.
-
His lunge feels a bit off, similar to how it did in 4.6.0. I might just be imagining things, though.
-
IMO it should also increase the speed of breaking pallets, breakable walls, and generators.
-
I'd say just buff them. I really enjoy playing as them but they struggle on many maps, and is quite punishing.

We played him to feel like FPS games, that's not a thing anymore without quick-scope :D
Unless you mean Hunt: Showdown, then it is pretty close...
I have started to play Trickster more now, he is actualy quite fun and good to play as, so RIP Deathslinger for me. Over 200 hours wasted, but ######### happens.
Yeah at this point Trickster is more powerful than Slinger, if you play on PC at least. Trickster on PC is pretty fun. Also way less stressful to play as anyways.
-
There's pretty much no reason to buy Slinger anymore, unless you want to feel like you're playing an fps game. His perks are garbage, save for Retribution, the only other reason to buy Slinger.
